What I loved about Cinderella's Castle is it is so entirely about Ella. We know starkid can handle a show with tons and tons of characters but I found it quite refreshing for it to be so wholly her story? I think it was a lovely choice for this show and man Bryce did such a perfect job of it, she is truly such a star

High school theater is so much fun because literally everyone is unstable as shit, pretty much no one has their schoolwork fully up to date, we’re all exhausted, and there’s usually huge amounts of relationship tattering drama but during performance nights we drop all of that off and if asked, we would all still die for each other. It’s like the pinnacle of non negotiable found family.

(ch366 spoilers) ok but seriously, i have some thoughts on this that are maybe too long to put in one go but essentially, I don't think Iruma will take up Mephisto's offer on the basis of him being the "king-maker", rather I think he would ask for his guidance more like as a teacher. Especially since Sullivan has already told Iruma becoming the demon king is only one path he has of many, and Iruma himself saying he's still a student when Mephisto originally (jokingly) named him king of the Many-Ears. Plus him being a teacher now and always admiring the teachers of Babyls.

(Although personally I think school + action shounen that results in the MC becoming a techer is hit or miss. Like Assassination Classroom made sense because the whole point was the teachers and students' relationship to each other not the killing. And how people are kinda hating on MHA's ending for yoinking Deku's power [idk that's what I heard] and making him a teacher even though personally I think the ending makes sense from a pure narrative structure perspective though it perhaps doesn't have the same context that makes it satisfying since AssClass was a very small enclosed world centered around the school and MHA did not, afaik. Anyway, I think it would work with Iruma, and I could definitely see him being both a teacher and demon king--it's very greedy but it fits M!IK's themes perfectly)

on the other hand, Mephisto's declaration is basically saying he has chosen who he supports as the next demon king, so regardless of what Iruma decides, Baal will absolutely not overlook it. Obviously, because he has gotten Princess Shura's support seemingly to become king himself, but what if Iruma becoming king will help his goal to (as it seems) extract Delkira's power? Ali only gets stronger as Iruma's rank goes up, so who knows what will happen if he passes Scala here. Maybe Delkira's power will manifest enough for Baal's goals. And now that I think about it, does Iruma even know Baal is trying to kidnap/use him? If Baal ends up showing his support for Iruma and Iruma doesn't realize his malicious intent...

My personal rankings are:

1. Would you fall in love with me again -AUGH IT WAS SO SWEET and the harmonizing?? The lyrics?? The instrumentals??

2. Odysseus - Love how Odysseus is in this, the part where he calls Telemachus “My Boy” and the bloodshed?? The screaming, the guy who couldn’t say mercy??

3. The Challenge -Penelope solo song!!! Vocals were incredible like always, love the lyrics - especially with the shroud part, so sweet.

4. I can’t help but wonder - I LOVE TELEMACHUS AND ODYSSEUS BONDING, I didn’t think that it was on the same level as the other songs, it felt a bit…out of place in the sense that the rhythm & beat didn’t seem consistent

5. Hold Them Down - don’t get me wrong, this song is incredible. An incredible villain song, but the animatic plus the lyrics made me sick, props to Jorge for showing how the suitors were in The Odyssey but genuinely made me sick (especially with my own trauma with SA) so it’s last, unfortunately

when chet moved to tulsa in the 3rd grade, his first friend was this friendly boy on his little league baseball team. he was the first boy to welcome chet to the team, and his contagious laughter helped rid chet of his new-kid nerves. they quickly became the jokester duo of the team. they'd often get distracted out in the outfield, miming jokes to each other across the grass during a boring inning. when chet hit his first ever home run, there was one cheer he could hear above the rest of the crowd.

in the 5th grade, when their little league team got new coaches, chet noticed that some of the kids didn't join the team. his friend included. chet's parents said it was a good thing, that the new league fees kept out the "wrong crowd". chet didn't really get the point of that, but he still had fun at the games. some of his new friends from school joined the league, and his parents seemed to like these boys a lot more than his old friend.

by the time chet was in 8th grade, he barely remembered all those inside jokes from the outfield. he had a new baseball team, new friends to cheer him on, new sports to try out for, and new things to worry about. like how his essay was absolute trash, or how his crush just started dating his best buddy, or how his head throbbed from a fight him and his buddies started with some kids last night. he vaguely recognized the laughter of one of those boys before the fight, how he tossed out smiles and jokes to ease the tension before the first punch was thrown.

in the middle of their sophomore year, when the newspapers were covered with headlines of a train accident and orphaned brothers, chet found himself wondering how sodapop curtis was doing. obviously he wasn't doing well, his parents just died horribly. and chet doesnt even know if he should go offer condolences, or if hes allowed to. socs dont offer support to greasers, he knows that. but he notes how quiet the halls in school sound without that familiar laughter ringing through them. he hadnt really, truly spoken to soda in years, aside from the rare school project that chet barely participated in.

he hadnt really noticed how much that boy's laughter had followed him through his days at school or at the drive-in or around town, until it was gone.

As much as i am a martin van buren fan who would love to see more depictions of him in media, i genuinely think a biographical adaptation of his life like a musical, movie, series, etc just wouldn't work, mainly because he works so much better as a "side character". I feel the fun part of writing a character like him would be to make the audience wonder whether he can be trusted, and seeing all the sneaky stuff he pulls behind the scenes. Also i just don't think his life story is interesting enough to merit an entire adaptation #SORRY

i had the idea that we should tier rank every taylor swift song, but instead of the usual tiers i saw this spreadsheet and thought it was more fun! so all credit to the original creators! as with other tiers, the first one (absolute goddess) is the HIGHEST ranking and the NO is the lowest. the names are just more fun. (needs more listens does actually mean needs more listens/you don’t have an opinion/haven’t heard it) but you can think of them as graded like in other tier ranking if it’s easier.
