Like, Dick, sweating his ass off in his police uniform getting a text from Jason, which btw, extremely rare- and it's just a Twin tomato (two tomatoes grown as one ykwim) and captioned w "ur ass"

or Tim is in the middle of his board meeting and he gets an email from Red Hood and hes like stressing out chcking it only to find a pic of his apartment's kitchen's pantry asking "why dont you have salt?"

and then damian coming back from school to see his phone full of texts from Jason and it's all pics of ugly animals and every pic is captioned with "u" "u again" "wow u"

Bruce getting a morse code going "check phone" and it's a video of Jason flying away on an alien helicopter contraption with Roy yelling after him asking him to get down and jason saying he doesnt know how this shit works.

What happens if jason let's out a blood curdling scream out of absolutely nowhere? Not an au or anything I just want to know what you think the bat gang reactions would be

Depending on where they are/what they’re doing right now the reactions would vary slightly. But in general I don’t think any of them wouldn’t feel a stab of panic at that sound. Especially Bruce. (Maybe he‘s heard that scream before. Maybe there was footage to be recovered from the smashed domino in that warehouse all those years ago, maybe he still dreams of this exact sound over and over and over again)

Bruce would drop everything and run in Jason‘s general directions (trying and failing to fall into the clinical focus of Batman).

Dick wouldn’t be much better, though slightly more level headed about it and try to put his initial panic on the backburner. He knows Jason. Jason doesn’t scream even if he‘s being tortured these days. This could just be him being dramatic (please please please let this be him being dramatic)

Tim would assess the situation. Worried in his own way, but channeling that worry into securing the perimeter to give his comrades a clear shot at their target. Make sure there’s nothing in their way that could stop them.

Stephanie would jump straight into screaming back. She‘s not buying this bullshit. If Jason was in serious danger/hurt he would be making awful jokes and snippy comments about it. Or not make any sound at all. (She‘s not worried, she refuses to be worried. She‘s just gonna check up on him to give Jason a piece of her mind about interrupting patrol/a quiet night/a nice nap)

Cass would know straight away that nothing is actually happening and appear at Jason‘s side only so she can pat him on the shoulder. Maybe even get a hug.

Damian would loudly proclaim that Todd should learn how to suffer in silence, and that he‘s only going to check up on him because he cannot think with that awful sound he‘s making. (He‘s not worried, what are you talking about. He‘s not shaking. He‘s just a little cold. Get your facts straight. Jason screaming doesn’t rattle him in the slightest.)

Duke would one hundred percent believe someone‘s in the process of killing Jason and almost fall over himself trying to reach him. He‘s annoyed when it turns out to be nothing, but mostly he’s just relieved and demands Jason never does this again because he almost had a heart attack.

Some chapters have me hard pressed not to just screenshot every page, and the one where Anya and Damian make the paper griffins together is one of them.

Damian quickly finds himself not having enough material for his grand plans, and Anya uses this opportunity to help him.

This is among one of the first times this happens, if I recall correctly, and I think it’s really interesting. This is a huge part of their dynamic— Damian has a problem and doesn’t have the humility to ask for help, and Anya helps him of her own accord, which tends to either solve his issue at her own expense… or it turns out very silly such as the griffins. Though in this case, Damian does win first place for… other reasons haha

Something really huge about this to me is that Damian actually chooses to display her griffin with his— he probably could have easily thrown it out or told her to display it on her own, but he actually kept it with his display (and benefitted from it unknowingly).

I wouldn’t say this is a top damianya moment for me, but actually I think it’s a really important one.

I know the whole point of your posts is that fandom shouldn't take Damian and Tim's beef not that serious, which I mostly agree with. But this is the first time I read something saying that Damian only really reacts to Tim provoking him in Red Robin, because fandom tends to interpret it the other way around

I remember when i first started reading the comics from the damian era and i was so genuinely confused because like

Tim is the one being mean. Tim is the one instigating all of this Damian isn't even doing anything!!

To be perfectly clear this behaviour 100% makes sense for Tim he distrusted Cass too in the beginning like he is just like this plus man is going through it during this time period.

I'm new, how do aged-up AU's work for this particular fandom? As in, those ones where Anya and Damian are teens still in school together. Is Mission Strix just taking THAT long? Is it still in action but all identities are revealed? Is this a scenario where Anya was adopted and enrolled at 16? Is the mission long over and she's just, being sent to school now with no ulterior motives? Help
