What if the x men played DND
This is what I think their characters would be
Beast: is the forever dm
Cyclops: the most lawful good high elf paladin to ever lawful good high elf paladin
Jean grey: starts with a standard lawful good high elf wizard but min maxes into an entirely different character about three times until she is once again at lawful good elf wizard. But now it's a different flavor of elf!
Morph: chaotic neutral plasmoid fighter
Wolverine: just homebrews himself into the game, with a custom barbarian subclass of "escaped living weapon". No one realizes what he did until he mentions that his hidden wrist blades come in sets of three and by that point they are three sessions in.
Jubilee: neutral good half elf druid/sorcerer, with a dramatic heroic backstory, stunning good looks, and she knows everyone just like in her fairy tale ep
Gambit: a purple lawful evil to chaotic good tiefling rogue/warlock who's patron makes him steal treasures as offerings in exchange for blessings of luck and powers to charm others
Rogue: girl found out you can seduce in the game and is playing a chaotic good damphir bard so she can seduce as many as she wants in the game she and gambit tag team to seduce all the monsters.
Nightcrawler: everyone thought he would play a lawful good tiefling paladin but instead he's playing a chaotic neutral tabaxi cleric/monk that is also a pirate
Storm: started out playing a min-maxxed to hell Asimarr druid but got tired of it quickly and is now playing Snarf, the chaotic neutral kobold ranger/wizard and is having a blast. Especially with fireball.
Xavier is not allowed to play because he keeps cheating by reading beast's mind to meta game and magneto was kicked out for being a problem player and kinda murder hoboing a village of humans that were harassing a goblin.

what if… dnd au but instead of them being heroes and adventures within the dnd universe, they are just a bunch of nerds playing tabletops rpgs together?
like, Tango is the dm who has spent forever crafting the perfect home brew campaign and is determined to make it the most amazing campaign any of them have ever been part of. He’s got the custom maps and characters figures and costumes and voices and one session he even brings in a fog machine for ambience. He’s like the perfect dm to a bunch of perfectly terrible players who will only encourage each others worst dnd habits.
Etho is the one whose been playing dnd since, like, edition 1, and who shows up to the first session of the campaign and starts describing his character and someone’s like “are you playing kakashi from naruto?” And Etho’s like “oh is that who this is? I just found it premade online and thought it sounded cool” and he’s got the emo backstory and looks real cool but is in reality not actually that good of a character and whoever made it horribly messed up the stat distribution but for some reason he always avoids death and it stuck with the underpowered not-kakashi for forever.
Joel is the murder hobo (it’s a dnd term guys trust) who tries to kill everything who also renames all his spells and weapons on dnd beyond to really silly things and then forgets what they were originally and needs someone to translate for him. He will always make sure things get out of hand, accidentally starting cults, making sure the party is always at least mildly morally gray, killing people left and right, aggressively shipping his character with other peoples jus because. He is the embodiment of chaotic neutral. (He says he is chaotic evil in the life series but I think he is more chaotic neutral because chaotic evil will cause chaos for the sake of evil and chaotic neutral will cause evil for the sake of chaos)
Bdubs is the one constantly trying to befriend everything, who also unnecessarily narrates everything he is doing (ex. “I Am RAISING my EYEBROWS at you!!!!”) and he has a million pets and always makes Tango explain what each one is doing at that moment every five seconds and is constantly yelling at Joel for killing everything while Joel is always yelling at him for befriending everything. He will argue that the dice are rigged if he rolls badly and 100% has one of those dice time out chairs and will be extremely superstitious about which dice he uses.
Jimmy is the one who keeps having really great ideas but really terrible luck with the dice rolls, and always manages to stumble into traps. He’s also the only one trying to actually follow the rules and remain completely in character, like everyone’s like “oh it’s probably over here!” And Jimmy’d be like “yeah WE know that but guys our characters wouldn’t!!!!!!!!” And he’s like the perfect player in terms of how nice and easy he makes it for Tango to dm but is terrible at the actual gameplay. He will loudly boast to the enemy that they are about to “get WRECKED, FOOLS!” And pulls out a spell that should kill them instantly if he rolls anything but a nat 1, and guess what he rolls lol.
Scar is the one whose character dies first session and he just picks up a pen, writes “jr” next to the character name, and shouts “I’ve come to avenge my father!” he’d also name his character something like “Hotstuff McSexyman” (if Joel doesn’t take that name first) but actually be surprisingly wholesome and moral, if kinda bad at combat. Extremely oblivious as a player, Tango has to spell out the answer for each puzzle and he will kill an ally genuinely thinking that it’s an enemy.
Grian is the one playing a firmly non-human character who has just the most normal guy core backstory, like “yeah I’m Clarence, I’m 45 with a wife and kids and I’m going on this adventure to celebrate my retirement.” But he’s like a lizard guy or something
Gem is the one who makes a really nice and sweet and normal dnd character and then combat starts and she takes out a magical great sword powerful enough to one shot the BBEG (it stands for big bad evil guy and it’s real dnd term. Gotta love nerd culture) and rolls a nat 20. She is also the only reliably sane one here (Grian goes about managing his sanity like he does shifts at the permit office, and Etho is sane but his character turns out actually to be pretty ineffective at, like, everything so there’s not much he can do except have the privilege of being driven insane rather than already being so. Everyone else is a maniac, some just their characters but not in real life, some are just as crazy “irl” [as in within the au] as their characters)
there is a lot more that could be done with this and a bunch of other people to include these are just the initial thoughts I had.

returning to my cr braincell after a little break is always so nice and refreshing but im particularly living my best callowmoore life rn when i think about how different it is compared to the other pc romances we've seen across the campaigns. like they're so twisted by a narrative that barely touches them. they're so bad at making choices that don't blow up in their own faces. they're so perfectly chaotic neutral in a way that does neither of them a disservice (bc lbr some dnd players take CN to mean murder hobo which is a whole different kettle of fish) but instead really showcases their individuality as well as how weirdly similar they are and i eat that shit up
like not to get too deep into it but the main thing that strikes me about the two of them is just the entire idea that where ashton's life has been a consequence of absence, fearne's is the consequence of presence. everybody in the right place at the right time, or the wrong time. they don't know what it is to be suddenly so important in someone else's life because that's never been the case.
so like, of course it's not a "forever and always" kind of thing because forever has never meant anything much to either of them - ashton truly not believing in it, and fearne having a concept of time that only exists in another plane - so it's just a here and now and "the timing has always been wrong" and i for one am feasting

Danganronpa 2 characters as D&D players
Hajime: doesn't play because it's uncool, but is the only one who actually solves every puzzle while watching
Nagito: sadistic GM who's super strict about dice rolls and eager to pit low-level newbies against high-level monsters
Ibuki: chaotic neutral with crackpot solutions that rarely work but, when they do, work spectacularly
Twogami: works a thankless job as lawful neutral leader of a chaotic party, desperately trying to move the plot along
Sonia: claims to be lawful good, then mostly approaches obstacles with brutality and violence
Mikan: uses in-character arguments with fellow PCs as thinly veiled criticisms/insults to fellow players, but would never admit it
Peko: goes where the party goes, but can be wildly inventive in a pinch
Fuyuhiko: "This is nerd shit." (one hour later) "YES AN 11 WITH +3 BONUS THAT HITS"
Akane: constantly needs the rules explained, always activates the traps, needs help making a new character sheet, enjoys all of it
Kazuichi: the unfortunate sap who knows all the rules and how to make a new character sheet
Chiaki: has had the same character sheet for nine years and is now a Level 28 minmaxed-to-hell sorcerer
Mahiru: obviously the team mom, lawful good but actually commits even if it makes her a killjoy, constantly says killing people is wrong
Nekomaru: more interested in strategy than roleplay, already working on micing everyone for a podcast
Gundham: "I'll play a character no one's ever done: a mage who is half-tiefling!"
Hiyoko: murder hobo
Teruteru: "My character investigates the town's brothels"

for the first week of @shepscapades 's hermitcraft character design event, i offer grian as an aarakocra artificer!
for an elaboration on my choices in character design,
aarakocra was kind of an obvious choice, but as a bonus i made grian a scarlet macaw aarakocra because Pesky Bird.
im not sure how much the design communicates artificer, but that's halfway intentional since i wanted the design to communicate grian more than generic dnd character. i very specifically chose the artillerist subclass because on my brief readthrough on the wiki artillerist is not only apparently the explosions subclass but also on the 3rd level artillerists get eldritch cannons and on the 9th level artillerists get to explode the eldritch cannons! and i thought that was cool so i included an exploding cannon in the brackground of the drawing.
why artificer? uh. mm. i just find them kinda neat. also it kind of fits grian's. researcher? thing?? with the rift and entity this season. im not sure how it translated into amethysts just kind of appearing all over the design but hey i think it fits and the purple accent over everything reminds me of minecraft enchantments so. oh also i couldnt decide on a weapon but when i searched up woodcarver tools (cause artillerist subclass) there was one that kinda looked like what hes holding and i think grian is unhinged enough to use a tool as a weapon so i just gave him that
also i feel like it should go without saying that grian is on the chaotic end of the chart. im leaning towards chaotic neutral but honestly i think that morality is kind of a weird thing to measure in/from minecraft where death more or less holds no meaning and the guy in question has definately killed all his friends at least once and one specific friend about a thousand times so. eh
also sidenote but according to the wiki artificers are more support than anything but you cannot look me in the eyes and say grian isnt the main damage dealer or the guy who causes the most chaos during battle. he has so many counts of property damage and the only reason im not calling him a murder hobo is because hes more creative than that. if he wants to be chaotic he can do better murder is the least creative way to cause chaos; hed eat a plot important object whole in front of the town mayor before going on a murder hobo spree

My roadmap going forward because I was definately struggling with "too many tavs" sickness lol Esme: My good girl durge playthrough. Wholesome and everyone is getting therapy. Tomie: Chaotic neutral, murder hobo-y. Will remake her later.
Rhiannon: Will remake her as well, not sure what her story will be yet. Selene: Shelved. Super fun idea, but she needs to cook a little. Maybe I'll bring her back in the future.

Me describing my warlock to my dm: He's a high elf. visually he's giving shades of Frank N Furter from Rocky Horror. He's the worst rich boy you've ever met but that doesn't mean he can't hang with the rejects because he has been disowned. He's in a sugar daddy type relationship with a demon lord. He's evil and he wants to be there. He's been living in the abyss under his patrons protection for the past couple decades and that effected him Very Normally. They are not monogamous they are something much worse. He will sleep with unsuspecting men that his patron may or may not decide to kill depending on his mood and whether or not he has time or is paying attention. In some ways they are like those bad Hades and Persephone AUs that completely misunderstand the myth. They are a little gross about each other. He's mostly an enchantment caster and he's not going to take very many useful combat spells, the only thing preventing him from being the worst murder hobo ever seen is the fact that he's a lot better at tricking people than stabbing them and he doesn't like getting in fights because he's a wimp about taking damage. I've talked with the chaotic neutral cleric and we're childhood friends so that should be a problem. Also I've gone through out of the abyss and I've picked a patron, it's Graz'zt. Good luck. Love ya <3

• is Sodas characters brother
Twobit:
• him and Johnny team up and create Tiefling twins
• he plays a trickster rogue

Dally:
• begs to dm so that he can be an asshole but is denied by everyone and to spite them all creates a joke character that is also a murder hobo

• eventually creates a chaotic evil character that follows Johnny and Two bit around in their shenanigans
• gnome bard who’s also chaotic evil but he stays chaotic evil and is killed off AGAIN right before the campaign ends and decides he’s never playing dnd again
Steve:
• elf Druid

• warlock
• chaotic neutral that slowly becomes chaotic good
• is the one who kills dallys attempt at an actual character

So as I’m taking a brake from playing BG3… a thought came to mind
What was are Dark Urge like before the betrayal of there sister? What made them the apple of their fathers eye and why did Gortash like you more than they tolerate Orin?
So me being me I looked up Bhaal and read a little about him.
About dear old Pa….
He’s a neutral evil god. (In 5e)
He’s Lawful evil in BG3
He’s the god murder in BG3
He was a god murder and the hunt (amung other things in D&D)
He’s was that guy in D&D that wanted to murder everything so THE MURDER HOBO
He was petty Because he lost to Bane and a Merkel, and therefore he had to be the god of murder.
From what ever art I’ve seen of him, we did not get are looks from him at all.
He also impregnated many woman as well to carry his seed. So that’s why You and Orin are half siblings (sisters in my case) and then I learned they were wiped out… well clearly the missed some here. So it’s either we are really flipping old.
(Wait does this mean we are demigods???????)
Anyway you were described as the perfect one… why ? Was it because you were not as unhinged as your sister? The one who took pleasure in murdering her victims in a chaotic insanity?
And are you the one that just enjoys the hunt that leads to your murder? And you’re not as unhinged as your sister hens why is easier to talk to you and have a conversation, and not blurt out you want to murder the person who you’re talking to.
You to your father.
Du (calling her Posie, cuz putting Durge is weird…) she was his fine crafted tool, she was perfect one, she didn’t complain and did her work. She was the “point and kill with out questions asked”
She was devoted and not crazy. No crazy makes you miss all the fine detailed of your kill. Makes you miss and appreciate the murder. How it was done, why it was done.
And you know why it was done, and it brakes you. That’s why you are the favorite he wants you to suffer as you do the deed so you know, each soul you take will haunt you and curse and scream your name.
But he forsakes you once your mind is corrupted by the Tav pole, his voice isn’t there any more to keep constantly whispering. The butler is his way of trying to get Posie back. This is the only way he can help to get his daughter back. To give you gifts and rebuild you.
And since you were “perfect” before. The fall you didn’t need the butler…
But never answer your questions.
That’s what I think…
BEFORE EVERYTHING
Relationship with Orin..
I wanna think Posie (okay pocket we get it she’s the Du) and Orin were sisters ( well duh pocket) .
Posie tried to be good sister to Orin, cuz she wanted a family or have some sort of family, but Orin made it very had to do so. They were two deferent sides of the same coin.
But there were small moments? Like Orin would listen to Posie as she reads something out loud. And then listen to Posies questions on the “holy” scriptures to Bhaal as alot of it was hogwash.
“He wants blood in his name, nothing more or less. Just that”
Orin complains that Posie is not. Doing things right and she does the same to Orin.
Share a meal together…
( they are both cannables, only fact I will stay with in the game cannon the other stuff is…. I’m sorry I draw the line of necrophilia and incest tendencies, This game has no chill at all man).
It would be a “hey I turned this Drow into a roast what do you think? Too much garlic or its not enough sage?”
Yes full on Hannibal’s here with the cooking…of humanoid meats. There’s even a part in the game were you can eat said meats in the goblin camp and it heals you by a lot…
I can see Posie just be “Orin that hand was in piss, do not- “
“Orin do not put that in your mouth!”
Orin proceeds to eat the hand anyway because she gives no shits and she is chaos energy.
Posie doesn’t talk to Orin for the rest of the day or week Because that’s just vile even for a cannable like her….The rude ones get eaten only, or she stops because people are junk food and she was gaining some weight.
Orin makes fun of Posies name all the time “Sister dear you should change your name”
Posie refuses to do so as it’s the only thing that keeps her human. And reminds her “there are flowers that can grow from blood”
We have Orin “The Red” because blood and gore..
Posie Would have been “The flower of Bones” as when a body decays. Nature takes it for its own. And bones are forever?
Foreshadowing that Posie will be around even after death….(someone’s death! )
Durge had nothing, your Bhaalness awakens when you were a child and you murdered your foster parents.
(Great really make your Durge a tragic character why don’t you Larian. I love it!)
Orin had parents and Posie will forever resent Orin for that.
Orin was the one that betrayed you. I think when Posie gets to that part in the game. And just thinking about it now. With being more human than she ever was before and finaly fighting her father and wanting to be free of all the nightmares and the voices.
She would be heartbroken. Her sister took everything from her and Orin dosnt care, she was watching and waiting for her sister slip up, and she did slip up. She fell for the chosen of Bain.
Why? It could be a lot of things, bust mostly jealousy, why did someone like Posie get all the love and she got nothing? And even when Orin took Posies place she will always still be compared.
Orin and Durge will always be that Back staving jealous, sibling troop. You still get rid of the sibling you hated and wanted to be… but you’re forever compared to them and your forever and their shadow no matter how much you shine in your own, right. That’s Orin in my eyes…
About the DarkUrge…. Posie.
(It’s funny you get murdered or beaten up by an orc with a flower name)
Im doing a Monk play though with this character so really plays well with being the “perfect weapon”. Posie body is the weapon. Everything around her. Is a weapon so when she’s out doing something for Gortash she throws her victims in a false sense of security
“You fool you have nothing to kill me with!” They have a sword.
She then disarms arms then and used that sword agents then “You were saying?”
I’m also multi-classing as a Druid in there too (I love moon Druids) Because… sneaking in as a cat or bird undetected is just funny.
“Oh look a pretty kitty!”
Turns into a half Orc (need more orc love) then proceeds to murder. Then walks away with bloody paws or flys away as a raven…goes and cleans the filth off your paws or preens your feathers for the next 3 hours.
When she’s mad she will throw things. Books, spoons, chairs…people. Has Yeeted a victim in the Gray bay Because that woman was just- let the fish eat her.
Each murder is different and never the same twice back to back.
She doesn’t do senseless murders. That’s not her style. She wants them to mean something. Hens why this. Would make her the favorite.
Posie had more sanity in them than Orin did. You were able to carry out conversation and look like a completely normal person and not go batshit crazy when you were stalking your target.
(Looking at you Orin)
You were a hunter… a well sharpened You didn’t play with your kills- naaah, you like toying with them.
Or you just liked to strike when your pray was at a peaceful state of mind were they think they are safe but not. That’s when you liked to strike.
That’s what Bhaal loved the best…
I’ll have more, maybe just needed to get this out there

what i think the d&d alignments mean
- Lawful Good
Goody two shoes, follows the law and believes all wrongs to be equally wrong
- Neutral Good
Tries to do as much good as possible, hurting as few people as possible
- Chaotic Good
Makes their own path to save everyone, even if it breaks the rules
- Lawful Neutral
Follows the law/a set of rules without straying
- True Neutral
Does what they want, when they want, without tipping into good or evil
- Chaotic Neutral
Does what they want, when they want, without tipping into good or evil, BUT does so by breaking as many rules as possible
- Lawful Evil
Exploits others to get what they want OR is the bad guy, with a personal code they would never break
- Neutral Evil
Commits whatever crime they please, but covers their tracks
- Chaotic Evil
Murder Hobo
+ some Extra Alignments oWo
- Lawful Chaotic
The definition of malicious compliance
- Chaotic Lawful
Follows their own code, but it's so convoluted that no one else can understand it
- Good Evil
Has their own goals and plans, but understands that having friends and keeping others happy is important
- Evil Good
Is going to change the world “for the better”, will force you to fit that worldview
- Lawful Stupid
Cop, ruins the game for everyone else

I'm bored so fuck it!
Here's your new guide to the DnD alignment system!
Now you may be thinking, "But HeeHoo! Isn't it straight forward as it is?"
And to that, random internet stranger, I must unfortunately say no. It is not. God I wish it was as straight forward as many people tend to try to make it out to be.
And the problem here is one very common misconception: that the Good, Neutral, Evil scale is about actions and doing the right or wrong thing.
This is incorrect. As much as we would love to judge characters solely on their actions (as we often do with people in real life), you don't typically have that choice in a proper game. You have to make hard, split second decisions, and sometime you're going to do the wrong thing. Plus, you can't predict that ahead of time when you're making the character.
The DnD alignment system, therefore, is actually about intention and motive. Good aligned characters often have good intentions. They want to help people in some way, shape or form. They WANT to do good (however skewed their perception of good may be).
A lawful good paladin, for example, might slaughter a den of goblins with the intention of protecting a nearby town. Their intent is good. However, they've also now slaughtered countless sentient creatures, so how "good" that action really was is...questionable.
On the other hand, an evil aligned character is a character that intends to, well, do evil. Just because that paladin went on a murderous rampage against this cave of goblins that was, for all intents and purposes, minding their own business, that doesn't make them evil. It would have been an evil aligned act if, instead of attempting to guarantee the safety of a nearby village, they had done it just to kill. Just to murder something or just because they hate goblins as a whole.
An evil aligned character wants to hurt people for the sake of hurting people. This is...the good majority of murder hobo players. Killing just because you can, just to cause as much destruction as possible. Screwing people over for the hell of it or for revenge or other similar motives.
And then that leaves us with neutral players. Neutral characters are characters that aren't here because they believe it's the right thing to do, but they also aren't here because they believe it will allow them to cause damage. They're here simply because it's what's convenient for them for now. It's what works.
Lawful neutral players will follow the law (or a strict moral code), not because they believe it's right, but because the opposite is much less convenient. Chaotic neutral players reject laws and moral codes because being spontaneous and unpredictable is what's worked out so far for them. True neutral players don't care one way or another and will likely simply act according to what's convenient for them at the time.
The lawful to chaotic scale is much more direct and clear. Lawful players will adhere to either a set of laws or rules, or some other moral code (though lawful evils and neutrals may have a tendency to only follow the letter if the law, not the spirit, like a lawyer or fae).
Chaotic players actively reject these boundaries and laws and often operate beyond them or go out of their way to break them. Jaywalking because fuck the crosswalks they're stupid! Stealing because capitalism sucks and this is so much easier/enjoyable!
Neutrals on this scale will jaywalk because it's easier to do that than walk all the way to the end of the street for a crosswalk, or steal because you can't afford to spend the money and really need the items. They'll volunteer if there's something in it for them, do the right thing if there's a decent enough reward for it to be worth their time.
So there you have it!
The DnD alignment chart isn't about whether or not you would always do the right or wrong thing, but rather about whether or not you would try to do the right or wrong thing, or if it doesn't really matter to you at all.
You can't align characters based on their actions, because their alignment influences why they're taking those actions in the first place.
What does your character think they're doing? It doesn't matter how questionable their methods are, a character is still good so long as their motives are.
In conclusion, Kyubey is a Lawful Good, good night everybody <3

alignment charts in D&D are an extremely funny concept to me bc from what i’ve seen, if you play a character long enough eventually they’ll just devolve into a chaotic neutral murder-hobo
