Chilly weather and hands gaining XP points outside of drawing

Today has been pretty chilly but peaceful and pleasant enough to enjoy with some layers.

Had a crabby rice brunch, as people from Maryland occasionally do. I didn't think about warming up the leftover crabs before peeling them apart. They were refrigerated, so they were *cold* and I had to deal with all that in the kitchen, which was also slightly chilly.

I actually warmed my hands up by rinsing them in cold tap water.

The delayed gratification of extracting all that crab meat and eggy stuff onto a plate of buttery garlic rice was worth the trouble. And my (not gel or acrylic) manicure survived the messy/abrasive process of getting through 4 crabs. :D

I think I'll draw some casually ominous crows this week. And enjoy some taro boba.

My current mini-obsessions are:

Cooking as many zucchini dishes from around the world as I can while the season lasts. Other seasonal veggies too, but mostly zucchini this year. I'm really into seasonal stuff and frequently fixate on the "vegetable of the month".

Making wagara (traditional Japanese patterns) GIMP patterns. Me and GIMP, we go back a long way. I was never particularly great but I spent many hours creating stuff with it. Haven't touched it in years. Felt an urge to start again two days ago.

Hey kids, remember that sage piece of advice not to pick on your skin? I hope you're good at following it. I haven't been for the past twenty years and it was fine, really, untill today I woke up really hurting and unable to open my left eye because a pimple I repeatedly popped and squeezed inflamed. I have cellulites and I'm hospitalized taking intravenous antibiotics every four hours for at least the next three days to deter any chance of sepsis.

Thinking about all the fics set in a pre modern world where characters die of blood poisoning after minor wounds.

there's this one panel of shimano setting the table with maybe six or seven identical meals plus woble's baby food and bottle... pretty sure no one else is in 1014 besides oito, woble, shimano, and the guards at that point, so I think that means they all eat meals together? 🥺

the more i think about it, the more i realize how easy it’d be to do this with art.

he’s just so observant when it comes to you; any switches in your tone, the way you dress, the way you touch him, the way you breathe, the way you smell.

he buries his face into your neck and sniffs you while you’re touching him or having sex with him, so he naturally begins to subconsciously associate the smell of your perfume/warm skin with feeling ungodly amounts of pleasure (and with the sight of you all disheveled and hanging onto every moan that falls from his mouth).

so yeah. when you greet him with a hug after not seeing him all day, his boner is almost immediately poking at your hip once he gets one whiff of you. and then he’s wrapping his strong arms around you and involuntarily rutting against your body. “why do you smell so.. hngh..”

I had a dream today that I had a story idea and wanted to write it down so I wouldn't forget it, but I didn't have a pen.

Way too realistic for my liking.

Also, I wish I could remember what that idea from my dream was because I think it was really good.
