a comic on megatron after the events of transformers prime: predacons rising. for some bonus overthinking notes on this comic: "feel less than know" infers on how megatron doesn't look back at the sparks exploding in the back or what happens at the well of allsparks to confirm optimus' death; he just feels it. feels that optimus is gone. and he doesn't go back to confirm it ("I will not look for traces of you.")

the roads no longer remember their history because cybertron is in absolute ruins as a result of their civil war, only they remember their shared history because everything that resembled or had traces of the history be it in the old places they visited or buildings, has been completely destroyed. and only megatron is left to retrace them and reminisce but he states that he doesn't want optimus by his side. if he truly doesn't or is trying to lie to himself can be up to interpretation. the last panel has megatron finally out of bounds of the panels themselves; he is free because for once he doesn't long for optimus in choosing to mourn him. because for the longest time megatron has always been driven by this sense of chasing optimus.

i personally do interpret this ending as a hopeful and optimistic one for megatron, but of course you can take it in however you'd like and tell me about it^^ this is just my own take on megatron's feelings post-predacons rising; particularly with not only the last of his feelings being obsessed with optimus that had driven him but also other things that had controlled him. the council. unicron. he is no longer shackled by them, for once he isn't fighting against anything and he's all on his own.

i dont know the whole deal abt animasquad but in my head severin + sett are duo'd together for one portion of final city so theyre not usually helmed by seraphine or miss fortune

but i do think aurora/yuumi are in their coms constantly bc it is generally scarier to have just a group of 2 instead of the normal amnt.

but also theyre both so awesome at defeating primordians it was never a huge issue to leave them out on their own

One Kagurabachi theory I read a bit ago and liked, kinda fuelled by descriptions of the Seitei War, is that the war fucked up Japan's economy in ways it has not recovered from, causing many men to pursue organized crime to get by.

This being the explanation on why there are so many gangsters and mercs, they had no other job prospects.

...

I do think Japan triggered the Seitei War to get Datenseki, but was rendered unable to profit from it, thus sinking the economy.

I swear to god one of these days were going to see a video of Amaury Guichon and he's going to be making some wings and they are going to look dope as hell, the detail of each feather will be breathtaking, he'll spray paint them to perfection, but as the video goes on, he's not building any sort of winged creature, just the wings. And then there's a human-sized harness (also made of chocolate, somehow, he can do it). And he's attaching the wings to the harness. And he's putting the harness on and he demonstrates how he can flap the wings. And then he'll be off. Out the window and up and up and up. And we'll be looking at the livestream (it's a livestream now) and we'll scream "No, Amaury, the sun! It's going to melt the wings!". But he knows this already. And he is free.

it’s a key difference in perception. fic isn’t given. it’s shared. it’s part of a fandom community— in which readers are also an integral part.

it’s probably inevitable mission creep from the increasingly transactional nature of the internet and fandom-as-consumerism, which was always gonna happen after corps worked out how much bank there is to make from those weirdo fan people

but like. fandom is sharing. i think we’ve lost that somewhere.
