after like 34 hours of drawing my illustration of pearl n etho fighting in the ballroom arena is done!!! hope u guys like it!!
#sun art#ethoslab fanart#hermitcraft fanart#hermitcraft#pearlescentmoon#ethoslab#ummmm little fun headcanons! etho is a breeze hybrid thats why his smoke is a different colour#pearls ears and tail are crystal decorations and for big tails its fashionable to show off little plants inside#i wanted to do the water elevators as big glass tubes that shot people upwards#annnd the floor was so green i couldnt resist adding in a flowering moss carpet#my other headcanon for the image is um. i was conceptualising solarpunk outfits as very crocheted or knitted? especially formalwear#so i wanted to do that with this. but i accidentally erased the texture and got too tired to redo it all lmao#the corset is also cause pearl Knew they were gonna battle#so its like. light armour kind of? same reason shes got boots and leather gloves and the leggings for easy movement#in contrast ethos clothes r much more decorated and formal#and hes got some impractical geta#i based his robe and his coat especially off ainu clothing since i wanted him to have a very different vibe from like. joel#who i imagine in general japanese traditional clothing (modified for cyberpunk) and who i wanted to give a very different silhouette#the coat specifically is also a salmon skin coat!! which i thought was a stroke of great luck since he wanted the fishing rod arena#pearlescentmoon fanart

New and (mostly) improved!#The death screens were not changed because I didn't think they'd get used for this video.#But Chilchuck getting one-shotted and leaving due to this being outside of his pay? Accidental comedy gold.#The full sprite (I didn't realize the bottom third would be hidden) says: “NOT PAID FOR THIS”#And yeah he's smoking. He gets a smoke break as part of his contract. Let a guy have his vices. He's teetering on a divorce.#Dungeon Meshi would be a fun rpg in theory but it would need to have immersive mechanics like cooking and foraging.#And hunger and fatigue and other status effects.#A slightly more lighthearted fear and hunger sort of game.#But that is for some other fan to do. This is just a fun tech demo for us to learn RPG maker!#So...with this mini-project concluded#we now have a foundation we can pass over to our actual game!#Next game dev post will be some game assets (probably busts and battle icons for the main party)#And after that! so. uh. Wild Life finale huh
#wild life spoilers#life series spoilers#uhhhh okay wait i need to ramble a bit more here first to then get into the finale stuff#because. im putting my thoughts and spoilers in the tags#so fun fact i waited for 3 hours avoiding spoilers for Pearl’s pov to then find out it’s getting posted tmr#so. those were 3 insanity inducing hours#anyway. so uh. what the fuck was that#it was wild. ill give it that. it was wild and nothing else#the winner seemed fitting the final battle IS wild but. okay? i dont. what arcs actually got resolved here#that just didnt feel like a proper ending yknow??? i know its improv and all that and none of it is planned but. i can at least say that i#feel like the wild card mechanic as a whole was too intrusive for a life series gimmick#and as a result none of the established arcs/plots/relationships can get a somewhat satisfying conclusion. because oh wowie theres a fucking#snail chasing me again. oh theres vexes everywhere oh wow hey uh Gem i know we haven’t really come to any meaningful end to this fight we’ve#been having all season but can you help me with a trivia question. oh oopsies you died to a vex. oh well#so those are my. initial thoughts#Scott getting permakilled by a shot meant for Joel was awesome though 10/10#mcyt

Here’s a sort of…. Prompt? Headcanon? Idea?? For Danny Phantom.
Let’s go with the,, semi-fanon idea of cores. We see the Far Frozen with ice powers, with their whole little civilization. They are ALSO the only ghosts we see that have any medical knowledge.
So what if ghosts with ice cores had healing powers? Danny is very durable, but he also (probably) has advanced healing.
Idk, it’d be a fun possibility to explore Danny ‘plays as a tank in irl superheroics 4 times out of 5’ Phantom finding out he can heal people while doing a school-mandated cpr class.

AGAINST doctors and medical schools per se#but she’s protesting something or another about them#probably concerns about medical mistreatment#meanwhile Danny is like I Did Not Agree To Be The Medic!#he’s played video games okay HE KNOWS HOW THAT GOES DOWN.#…. #ESSAY INCOMING im so sorry#a drizzile and rindo kanade from ntwewy#assuming there's like nothing wrong then nothing happens they don't even acknowledge each other's existance#but lets say for example they got pissed off at eachother#now we have to take in several things into account#is rindo in the rg and what are the drizzile's stats moves and level#assuming rindo is in the rg the drizzile easily wins. a 15 year old has nothing on a magical water lizard#but let's check up on rindo in the ug#he's now got a ton of pins and abilities that he can use to attack#but still this is only between rindo and the drizzile. none of the other wicked twisters are around which means he only gets to use 1 psych#assuming he picks a good pin and has high stats he could take it out fairly easily#but the drizzile on the other hand#we're gonna go ahead and assume the drizzile is level 100 with maxed out stats and a nature that doesn't affect anything#and finally we're gonna give it the torrent ability which boosts water type moves when its health is low#just for fun its also holding a mystic water which boosts water type moves even more#its moves are (rain dance) (muddy water) (mud shot) and (protect)#first it sets up rain dance to summon rain which also boosts water type moves#it then uses mud shot which does a bit of damage to rindo and lowers his speed making it harder for him to dodge#it spams mud shot until rindo's speed is all the way down#then it takes damage on purpose to activate torrent#after that the rain mystic water torrent and stab boost from being the same type as the move all raise the damage of muddy water#drizzile does a quick protect to narrowly avoid death and since rindo's speed is down the drizzile can pull off muddy water#and it does a shit ton of damage#a few more muddy waters and rindo is down#but then rindo activates time travel with his player pin and reverses time to before the battle started to get an advantage#after learning what each move does he brings a pin that has an electric affinity#assuming types are similar to affinities the pin does super effective damage to drizzile#in the end rindo wins and the drizzile loses#summary: two timelines#timeline one: drizzile wins. timeline two: rindo wins.

Being a white collar office worker in the most stereotypical job possible is so interesting when all of your best friends are creative people who make a living from their art.
My one friend is an animator for multiple award-winning television series. Another friend works on visual effects for award-winning video games and CGI for television shows. Other friends are touring with bands. Other friends have opened a recording studio and are accepting clients. Another friend had some of their work make it into some recently published music videos and movies. Another friend has recently had multiple pieces of literature published in anthologies.
My latest achievement is correctly applying a specific analysis under the Uniform Commercial Code to the sale of office supplies, to the great benefit of our client. A lot less fun to brag about on social media, I guess.

The only bad thing about Gem and Joel's team up is, well, they actually have the means and the skill and the luck to do it.
But, you know, if a team makes it to the end, there can only be one.
And we've seen that except... they aren't the type to give the win to the other, they worked too hard, too proud of their skills, and it would feel like a disservice to the other to try and hand it off.
They aren't the type to sling bloody punches at each other in a cactus ring, begging for apologies and singing their sorrows.
They aren't the type to promise an honored deal with crossed fingers only to turn and twist and laugh maniacally as they betray due to the desperation of time ticking inevitably away
They aren't the type to twist bitterly and finally end up together, one reaching only finally so they aren't alone for the other to throw it away in what they think is what is wanted
They aren't the type to dance around and ignore hearing that the other doesn't want the win, ignoring it because they don't want to be alone only for the other to die silently without realizing and left wondering

Either of them could win. Statistically Joel has beaten Gem more than she has him, but that doesn't mean she can't win, Joel gets flustered easy. Joel tends to get more reckless and take the long shot that pays off, but Gem tends to flounder if caught off guard.
I think, if they are at the end there will be no promises or honor duels or gifted or taken wins, I think they'll just lunge. Not like a desperate wolf bites, but as an acknowledgement to who they are as people, bloodthirsty and fun and wanting to win. Maybe they will, at best, mention fight club and maybe negotiate the same rules, leather or no armor with wooden swords, but this is not an honor battle of forced apart partners nor is it a grief stricken apology to make the game end.
And I think one of them will die laughing as they go. Maybe disappointed but proud because they almost got the other and they did it together
