Thinking about Usopp and how he’s the only Strawhat that didn’t have someone looking after/looking out for him as a kid..

After Bachina passed he was literally all alone. We don’t see a single flashback of any adult in that village taking him in after he was literally orphaned or checking in on him, they just..left him all alone?? How did he afford food back then? He certainly couldn’t have a job. What happened if something broke in that suddenly way too big and empty house, was it expected for him to fix it himself? Did someone comfort him in his times of grief, when it was late at night and nightmares creeped into his mind??

When he goes around town, hollering about pirates coming, none of them take it as the obvious cry for help that it was. No they decided he’s annoying, that he’s a nuisance, that he deserves to be chased out of town every morning by an angry mob with pitchforks.

(And yes before anyone says it, I know it’s played in the anime for laughs or whatever but that doesn’t make it any less fucked up.)

In fact, we’ve seen Usopp being the caretaker for other people in that bitch ass village: the Usopp Pirates and Kaya, the former he was looking after WHEN HE WAS STILL A CHILD HIMSELF!!!

(And yes Kaya didn’t believe him about Kuro and slapped him I remember but she also apologized and pulled up with a glock so I forgive her personally.)

But Usopp never hates them, he doesn’t even consider it. Not when they chase him out of town everyday, not when they choose to believe a random man they’ve known for 3 years over him and tell him they might have believed him if he was more like Kuro bitch ass and then when the battle at the hill they were all waiting around with their torches and shit liek ��where’s Usopp?? 🧐🧐 he’s usually here for us to run outta town by now??”

In conclusion Fuck Syrup Village (minus the Usopp pirates and Kaya obvs), Fuck Captain Kuro fake ass cat, and Especially FUCK YASSOP.

(Lmk Wukong) His Nerves are shot, infront of him was a 9 foot tall vampire monkey. He's not sure if he should be scare or turned on, but he's still very excited to meet you as he thought you were very beautiful and elegant to him. Then you had demonstrated motherly traits to your daughters, and your vampire strength to lift him off the ground with ease. Yup he's a goner🫨😳

(MKR Wukong) He stood there froze and he looked up at you, he had a blank face but his tail was wagging so fast that it could take him off the ground. He met you when the monk needed a place to stay for the night they would set up camp, but it's was raining that night, so you had graciously let them stay. When Wukong got a good look at you, he was in a state of shock and attraction and once you picked him up with little to no effort it was over for him😳😳😳

(HIB Wukong) Your hight makes him feel some type of way, and he's not sure that he likes that. He was nervous because you seem so dignified and fancy he feels that maybe he shouldn't be hanging around you. Although your kids definitely getting along with each other despite the age differences, your daughters loved Luier's curiosity and Silly girls spunky traits. His kids remain you very much of your daughters, and you like him too.

(NR Wukong) HE'LL SCREAM STEP ON ME!!!! and he will say thank you for it. Not to mention you can Lift him off the ground with ease, you had his heart beating right out of his chest at your inhumane strength and sharp claws. You are just a smoking hot extremely powerful single mom, and he loves it more then anything.

(Netflix Wukong) He's giggling and blushing around you while playing with his fur, as you tower over him. He immediately had a big crush on you when you and your daughters were on vacation. he also immediately went and gave your family a tour of his home as he bragged about himself to you trying desperately to impress you although you found him cute from the very start.

(BMW Wukong) He got an eyeful of your long sharp claws he was already imagining putting a ring our one of them. You are usually so proper and patient with everything you do in your life and you gave the same lessons to your just as beautiful daughters. You were also an incredibly powerful vampire monkeys, which up his attraction to you by the second.

(Destined one) He became a blushing chirping monkey, the very first time he met you. You were beautiful, strong, and Waaaay taller then him. He felt like a little boy getting caught Staring at the girl he likes, and the good news is you found him to be adorable too. You were tall, beautiful, elegant and had demonstrated inhumane strength for a vampire monkey and he's okay with spending time with your rather chatty daughters.

For some reason, I find this scene really cute. It’s right after Usopp absolutely decks Klahadore (Captain Kuro) for running his mouth about Yasopp and even questioning if he’s really Usopp’s dad. Usopp storms off, feeling like crap, sitting at the cliff overlooking the shore, tossing rocks into the water—when suddenly, Luffy pops up right in his space and goes, “Here you are!” because he’d been looking for him. Not just to find him, but because he knew Usopp needed validation. He knew Usopp was Yasopp’s son, and more importantly, he knew Usopp was his. Luffy could tell Usopp felt like sh*t, and in the most Luffy way possible, he sought him out—not with a big speech, not with some grand gesture, but just by showing up. Because sometimes, that’s all you need.

People love to downplay Usopp and act like he’s not one of Luffy’s closest friends, but moments like this prove otherwise. His arc really highlights just how selfless Luffy is when it comes to the people he truly cares about. In this scene, Usopp was already his, and Luffy had already claimed him—Usopp just hadn’t caught on yet. Luffy had basically said, "You're my friend. I like you. And I'm gonna help you." And Usopp, completely oblivious, just screams at Luffy for scaring him.

Honestly, isn’t that the sweetest thing? That’s why, when they argue and clash, it just hits different. Because they love each other—sometimes a little too much, to the point where they don’t always know how to give each other what they need. But that’s what makes them them.

People say Zoro and Luffy are in sync, that they’re soulmates in battle, but Usopp is the one who can hurt Luffy the most—yet also lift him up in ways no one else can. Yeah, Luffy’s the captain, and he’s supposed to be mature and responsible, but Usopp is the one who reminds him that he’s still just a 19-year-old. That sometimes, things aren’t that deep. But other times, they are, and Luffy needs someone to tell him that.

Usopp is the one who looks at the insanity of the Grand Line and says, “This sh*t isn’t normal.” And I think that’s what truly makes him Luffy’s in a way no one else is. Even if he can’t support him like his wings in battle, Usopp is the one who, in a moment like Marineford, could have told him, “What happened to you wasn’t normal. And you don’t have to pretend it is.

That’s why Usopp is his.
