So like… tumblr wouldn’t manually approve a community that said the word vore in it, would they? Have any of you who are braver than me tried and succeeded?

Tumblr's stupid queue doesn't work.

Ok y'all it has just come to my attention that tumblr doesn't let you have more than 1 000 posts in the queue (mean), and I gotta clear out my queue so that I can move the 1 000 posts in my drafts into the queue. This would mean that for the next couple of weeks I might have to increase the post frequency from the queue. By a lot. I'm indecisive though, so I'm putting the burden of making a decision on how many times I should post on my own blog onto anyone who sees this post. Right now I post 12 times a day from my queue.

Hi folks! It seems like people are discovering that there are people online who write some WEIRD! 👎 stuff for Nevermoor. Some tips and tricks for dealing with that:

Don't engage. Don't read the fics. Don't even comment to say how much you hate it.

Don't spread it around. It's gross as hell, I know! But being like "ew, guys, I found this gross fic" just means you're causing more people to seek out said gross fic, and that's just not great. If you don't want to see it, no one else wants to either.

If you can: block, mute, or filter. I don't really use any fanfic sites to know if these functionalities exist, but I'm sure people online have found ways. Edit: here's a way to do it on Ao3.

TL;DR: Ignore, Ignore, Ignore. 👍

(PS: Same thing goes for when people send weird inappropriate anon messages. Just delete them from your inbox and don't subject others to them.)

This is unfortunately something that's been present for years in the fandom, on both Ao3 and Wattpad. This is also why I essentially don't read Nevermoor fics unless they're for Mogtober, and even then I'm cautious. I have seen some weird stuff written about my favorite characters that I wish I could pluck from my brain and set on fire, or worse! But when I stumble across that stuff, I just quickly close the tab and pivot to something else to get my mind off of it.

We should not entertain these types of people in a fandom full of minors about a middle grade series, so: just don't engage with them, ignore them, filter them out, and maybe even drown them out with some fics of your own.

Is there any way at all to view dead cat’s relationship? Maybe in the files or something? I think it’d be good if there was an option to save dead cats relationships like there is for faded cats. Its important for me to be able to look back at the relationships of previous cats for my storytelling.

Unfortunately, we found that keeping relationship logs for dead cats created a lot of lag and file bloat, especially as the Clan expands, so for that reason they are wiped upon death. We recommend noting down important relationships in their history tab, or an external program like Google docs!

maybe it's a coincidence but it's a lil sketch that when i searched the ''intrusive thoughts'' tag (due to some curiosity from a post that crossed my dash) that this thing come up. @wip @changes I really don't like this kind of targeted communication, whether this kokobot is something that tumblr is cooking up internally or whether they're a third party getting the info from tumblr for this kind of targeted spam.

I saw your response to the poll and the meta you reblogged and wanted to ask your thoughts on wwx's use of guidao post resurrection. He does have the added benefit of a golden core at this point, but I always read his loss of control in his first life to be tied more closely with the outside pressure he was facing rather than his cultivation (i.e. the use of guidao is what allowed a loss of control to be so destructive but it didn't cause it). My thought was that if guidao was truly so temperamental then there should be consequences to wwx using it post resurrection, but there's not. However, you've probably read much more closely than I have, which is why I'm interested in hearing what you think 👀

Did you happen to have a work on ao3 about obito and Kakashi in omegaverse? I can't find this specific fic, and I'm pretty sure it was you but it wasn't in your works.

A specific scene was Kakashi wanting to stay with Obito to help him but Minato & Kushina didn't think it was a good idea (he stayed with them, I think.) And he goes anyway, but then realizes why it wasn't a good idea when Obito gets aggressive.

I did! I took it down due to a complaint about my tagging and the content of my work. There was no way to add the tag without giving the entire story away.

I actually get a lot of complaints in general and it gets old pretty fast. I get people telling me how to write my story, people quoting canon in a story tagged canon divergence, people telling me they regret reading my story, people then apologizing after they realize they've been rude only to double down on the rude comments. I've had to debate genetics in a canon divergence before when I've studied genetics. It actually makes me beg for the old "kill yourself" comments, because at least I can brush those off. You get the gist.

So if I get fed up, I'll now be removing the story. This was the first to go, and I'm sure it won't be the last. If I end up anxious or upset, it's coming down. I don't have to share anything I write, but I do, because I want to connect with other people. I don't do it to feel like shit or to be insulted. If I want that, I've got my actual life.

I apologize that it was taken down, but I just couldn't please the reader without ruining the whole story and the reader did matter. I will say this reader was requesting something I could do; however, I chose not to. It was best to just toss it in the trash.
