Wisptober Day 17: Waiting

“On a weathered cliff overlooking the tempestuous sea, a monumental feminine figure stands vigil over dangerous shores.  She raises a flickering lantern above her head to cut through the darkness and guide returning ships safe to harbour.  

Local legend insists that she is an aggregation of all the sweethearts and wives still waiting for their beloved to come home.”

My idea was like " What if a ghost was a lighthouse!":D One day behind now but hopefully I can catch up this weekend!

Wisptober Day 4 : Horn

“Hidden amongst the tall grass, a young unicorn unsteadily rises to their feet. Their horn is closer to that of a beetle, shaped like a crescent moon, and it is plain to see that this sweet foal might just be one of a kind...”

「月光鏡」

2024年10月17日満月の光を浴びた鏡と素材を使って、魔除けと護身の意味を込めて制作しました。

前面が満月で、背面全体が鏡になっています。

側面に刺繍糸を貼り、ほつれ防止のため、グロスバーニッシュを塗っています。

作品の下地に、來宮神社の星雲神砂を使わせて頂きました。

(來宮神社の主祭神であられる五十猛命様は、 ”木の��様” でもあり、”いのちの神様” ”厄難除けの神様” でもあられます。)

サイズ：直径10cm、厚さ8mm
