can you believe that within two weeks we got them acknowledging no but seriously imagine it with a video of them almost kissing, 2009 phanniversary merch, them playing the newlyweds game and explicitly calling it that, spooky week filmed while they're on tour, a halloween baking video with a good dash of unhingedness and wild new levels of intimacy, and them dressing up for halloween in a couple’s costume with the post tagged with their shipname and the one of the couple they're dressed up as.

I'd say "we're so back" but honestly it feels like we're somewhere we have never been before.

SO I was wondering why they were wearing these very grey, bland, almost hospital gown-esque and weirdly enough kind of matching shirts...

because in the previous ones they were dressed relatively normally.

So my theory is that they got detained by the government and recently escaped but they're still wearing the clothes they were put into there.

So let me summarise, they want us to believe that...

Phil asked dan to buy him things for his background all the way back in 2016. that means dan ordered these things during tatinof. in that context it makes perfect sense for dan to forget about already having bought a present because they arguably had a lot going on.

Dan got him the lamps, plus a deer candle, which phil mentions in a video back in January 2017 (this is relevant, I promise).

He then tweeted about the hippo lamp in February, presumably because he thought it's nice/funny and wanted to show people but didn't want to mention that dan had bought it for him for...reasons.

A few months later they moved with all the lamps (and never showed the dino and lava lamp) and a few years later in 2019 phil finally used the deer candle, along with the dinosaur lamp (and the lava lamp?) for the new AP set in the 2nd London apartment.

Which he planned on doing since 2016? (He doesn't mention where he got the candle from but he does pretend to order the lamps. On that topic I'll redirect you to the tags on this post.)

OR they lied yesterday. Which is at least as plausible as this because they do have a track record of getting their own past wrong.

honestly the funniest thing about the rpf poll is that people from outside of the phandom are complaining (lightheartedly I assume) that phan isn't even rpf anymore because it's not fictional but real. which...firstly I wouldn't even say is a disqualifying factor for rpf and secondly people should remember our origins! not our fault that we turned out to be right.

anyway, it's not that deep but also, go vote if you haven't yet because they are very slowly catching up and we desperately need to win this

I made a spreadsheet listing all the keywords Dan and Phil have used for their DAPG videos on YouTube since October! Yay!

I have a few things to say that are interesting even for all non-data-obsessed people here, so you might want to stick around to read this first part:

THEY TAGGED PHAN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THREE OF THEIR RECENT VIDEOS!!!

The first one was the tatinof reaction. I haven't checked any pre-hiatus videos and only a very select few from their solo channels, so I can't say for sure but there is a pretty good chance that this was the first time they've ever done that.

The other two videos they've tagged with phan are the phanfic video and the latest phan twitter reaction video. for the latter dan also tagged phan here on tumblr.

(sidenote: the one phil tagged as phan here (dress to impress irl) is not tagged phan on youtube)

Phan aside, they seem to have a few standard tags that they use for many videos, always in the same order:

However, sometimes they don't use these and I can't see a pattern to when they do and don't use them, if you do please let me know!
