Just bitching about subtitles again, whoever does the English subtitles for Kimi ni Todoke on Netflix doesn't know how to caption non-verbal sounds. When a character makes a little thoughtful "mm?" sound or a surprised "hm!" sound (the kind these characters are constantly making because they audibly react every time they have an emotion) that is not a moan. It's a soppy teenage romantic comedy, not a porno!

Episode 5 - The Finale

First I adored this show. Ryuji (HYUGA WATARU) is the most interesting character and he had my heart the whole way.

His sincerity and sense of responsibility and his willingness to think outside the box. The thought he put into Amane's feelings. His ability to be truthful and to listen. His smile.

After their date. Walking hand in hand was beautiful.

Amane was also a character to admire. He is like so many in the gay community. He knows himself as far as his sexuality and he knows teasing and bullying that he laughs at himself before someone else can but inside he feels that pain alone.

Ryuji was the one that not only saw this, but also called him out on it and giving him a chance to be himself without the wall he built around himself.

Who couldn't see why Amane fell deeply for his Ryuji-kun.

And that re-linking of the hands brought me back to Tae Kyung and Shin Woo.

15. Do you go down each aisle when you grocery shop, or only the ones you know you need stuff from? mostly just the ones i know i need stuff from. except sometimes i don't know where something is so i have to do laps to figure it out. last time i was at costco i did an aisle by aisle lap of like 10 aisles looking for the at home boba kits that they apparently no longer have. devistating

20. What's in your freezer right now? we've got everything. we've got frozen pizzas and frozen microwave pretzels. we've got homemade waffles that i'm saving like eggos. we've got shredded cheeses so they don't go bad. we've got tons and tons of frozen vegetables that i keep forgetting about, which is why i froze them in the first place. a recent addition is leftover spaghetti sauce that i made too much of. there are possibly some new zealand meat pies. the freezer is where everything goes so that it won't go bad while i forget to eat it. i think there's at least one whole loaf of bread

25. Favorite old person activity? currently it is chatting with neighbors. yesterday the lady three houses down stopped me on my walk to tell me about the 4 baby raccoons we have in the neighborhood and how she found out about them because her dogs (5, all jack russel terrier mixes) discovered them at 5am that morning. i was 90% sure i'd never met this lady before but then she knew my name so apparently not. terrific human interaction

30. How many pairs of scissors do you own? i have enough scissors to outlast the heat death of the universe. i have 2 kitchen scissors, at least 1 in the garage, 2 somewhere in the shed and/or garage for garden needs, and at least 4 for general use. this is not counting sewing and embroidery scissors of which there are at least 10. there are too many scissors in this house. i could outfit multiple edward scissorhands with my stock and still have some to spare. i will not be getting rid of any of them because i still can't find any when i need them

 i think what makes me like plaswoozy so much is how ride or die they are for each other. how fucked up they both get when they’re separated- with woozy immediately breaking down and plas getting uncharacteristically mean and violent. how i’m pretty sure plas could do almost anything and woozy would want to be by his side because who else would he stand beside? who else would stand besides him?

i already loved heaven and meltdown, so i am excluding them, but i'm obsessed with if you leave me to the point where i just keep repeating it instead of moving on??? the slinky groove, his vocals, the way he sings, "hope you know that you're sentencin' me to a life on my knees." "can't you stay for the rest of my life"?! A BOP. save my life! the horns, the SAXOPHONE, the VIBES, impeccable. science is so, so pretty. never grow up is so sweet and so quintessentially Niall™, like that's one of those songs where you simply go, yep, that's HIM! must be love because, as previously noted, he wrote that one for the nervous overthinkers and we love him for it <3

...i just named 7 songs off a 10 track album. byeeeee?! on a night like tonight, easy breezy beautiful, i feel like he could match it up with everywhere from hbw in a really cool way on tour. the show is very touching and epic. you could start a cult is romantic with a curious hint of darkness, and i found it a little jarring at first, but it's growing on me. so clearly i love the record overall lol
