This gives me Fullmetal Alchemist vibes! Reminds me of either Edward Elric in the Shamballa movie, Hohenheim, or young Hohenheim, whenever they have dramatic shots from the back. :P It's just the formal European clothing and the ponytail that does it I think. The background though reminds me more of, I don't don't, the She-Ra tv show backgrounds in industrial areas maybe? I guess? Or Invader Zim or something? I'm suddenly finding I can't actually remember what either of those actually look like though, so that could be totally and completely wrong. Regardless, I really like the sort of purposefully flat, but well shaded, "simple" design you went with for the all the portal, the pies, and the wall, etc. It looks really nice. I like the way the way nothing that would typially be expected to be rectangular is really rectangular, like the way the consoles are all a bit purposefully left of rectangle. Did something in particular inspire that style or? The fullmetal alchemist thing isn't a criticism at all, to be clear. It's just that now I want Danny Phantom x Fullmetal Alchemist crossovers, because of course I do.

yes indeed here's my art for the Danny Phantom @invisobang 2024! I had the honor of drawing for @notoverjoyed 's fic Fading Away, a delightfully spooky story in which Vlad has a bit of a rough month. Gets a bit peckish. Don't worry about it.

As far as gay Victor Trevor absolutely got me, I don't think there was anything serious between him and Holmes. This all comes down to my reading of Holmes, who is (to me) too aroace-spec to get involved in a regular relationship (althouuuughh about Holmes, his sexual and romantic orientation and him discovering it I have had so many thoughts I could write a whole essay). He likes to have a default person though, someone who will take him as he is, and maybe even admire a little - now that's Watson, earlier it was Trevor.

And yea I think Victor got a crush straight away after their first meeting, maybe they even talked about this at some point. Maybe Holmes said that he won't be able to reciprocate this affection but if Victor is fine with keeping things as they are, then he is too. I like to think they stayed pen friends even after Trevor's leave.

I feel like I should emphasize this? My intention in the comic was to make Trevor visibly flustered because he didn't expect a young attractive boy (he's hopeless in my head), while Holmes simply didn't expect to see someone his age and so sincerely sorry.

literally none of this make sense without context so; years ago, i started developing an au where pitch black from rotg would go through a redemption ("but thats boring bc hes evil-" consider the books and also that i want this man happy for once, ok). This au follows pitch as he attempts to grow as a person and learn more about himself, while also trying his hardest to distance himself from what he once was and right his wrongs.

for design, the reason pitch's hair is longer is due to his power draining massively since his defeat at the end of ROTG, and his robes are gone bc he choose to rid himself of them since they just reminded him too much of what he was.

TLDR; its found family bc i think they all deserve to be happy and to be one big family. a family can be a fatherly old russian, an energetic hummingbird woman, giant rabbit, floating pile of sand, ADHD Frosty and just a mess of a man.

Could we see the responses of Marty's hair antenna to Doc's different emotions? I love this so much

marty's antennae aren't as expressive as doc's since there's 2 of them (the overlapping shapes would be hard to read) and they're rooted to his head (doc's floats around so it can do whatever it wants) so really he only has 3 different antenna emotes as opposed to doc's many many of them:

basically neutral, !!!, and droopy, or some variation of those 3. again applied based on vibe. also there's a marty bunny in there bc his antennae are shaped like bunny ears sometimes hahaha
