its now 11/12 in my game and im gambling like crazy in the palace and im here with goro akechi kills people theory: round 2

- so in his and joker's duel, the gun he uses definitely isn't the same one he uses normally. it appears more similar to the gun the man behind the slaughter used to shoot okumura (with his left hand and everything yk yk its all connected)

- as early on as the arcade he was joking about "taking joker out" (🤨🏳️‍🌈) which is exactly whats going on now with the duel and glove and all that. i think that means he's been planning to kill me (joker) for a long time, which makes sense with him lying about when he first went to the metaverse.

- so the biggest problem with this theory is that obviously the guy's mask isnt black like madarame said back in the day. i dont have a very good explanation aside from "ignore that part and it works", but i will mention it so everyone knows i didnt forget that. im also aware that when shooting okumura and in akechi's flashback the killer seems to have a vastly different outfit from akechi. my only defenses are again "go away dont ruin my theory" and also the phantom thieves can change outfits in the metaverse all the time.

- i just thought of something so MAYBE perhaps its based on cognition like our super cool outfits are in the first place. maybe he appears with a different outfit between okumura and sae's palace because, while both seeing him as a threat, okumura knows hes the killer and sees him as such while sae doesnt?? idk this part is literally all speculation i have zero proof

- ok this theory has been building up for a WHILE but i think shido's using him for political gain and ill elaborate on that. first off, i think his goal is to set the phantom thieves up as a huge threat and then very publicly defeat them to give the impression hes saving the people and get voters, effectively putting public trust in him and taking away any suspicion from the murders i think he was doing to anyone he saw as a threat before then.

- akechi works with sae niijima on the SIU (which i cant remember what that means in the slightest), which has a director who has been speaking repeatedly to someone. both of them know what the metaverse is by name, implying him and his mysterious caller are connected to a metaverse user who is obviously the killer (goro akechi is a metaverse user who's been so for at the very least longer than he lets on and is obviously the killer). siu director and the person hes talking to were very much involved with getting that principal killed. the person hes talking to is likely to be someone in power who hates the phantom thieves and that description fits shido.

- not much more evidence for that, ive been cooking up these theories for months so its really easy to forget details and take long held theories as facts when they could always be false. (example: i actually thought the casino was gonna be shido's palace for a LONG time and i was very surprised to learn it wasnt)

ive been thinking again ok so during that weird ass duel in akechi's rank 7 (or was it 8 or something else entirely idk im too scared to look it up) (whichever one the duel is) he has a different gun than usual. (it almost looks closer to the man behind the slaughter's gun from when he shot okumura but hey i already wrote that theory) so the obvious question to ask is why does he have a whole different gun in the first place? and why did he decide to use it in the duel?

so basically who's to say the gun isnt real? (why else would he need another) HOWEVER my question of why still isn't answered. real guns and fake guns work the same in the metaverse, which is both where the duel and okumura's murder took place. none of it makes sense and im going insane.

also i thought i implied this in a previous theory but basically i think akechi's gonna be the snitch who gets us arrested in the opening. he's actively lying to the phantom thieves so i don't trust him AT ALL. i think him joining the phantom thieves with an ulterior motive to betray them is completely plausible and likely. he's very spiteful and wants to kill joker at the very least, so why not decide to lie to and join them to destroy the phantom thieves from the inside?

i realize this is a lot more speculation and thinking than actual theories but hey. once more im a new player in sae's palace spoil if you want im hiding from my notifs i swear im cooking guys etc etc

i dont have any persona theories to share currently but i can give my new player thoughts on the phantom thieves (i named mine the fazvengers btw me and my friends decided on a fnaf theme)

- ok so im not sure how to perceive joker as a character. hes awesome and very cool but when im making all his decisions its hard to notice specific personality traits, at least on a first playthrough. id probably need more experience in persona studies to actually understand him as a character. his name is freddy fazballs to me also and it took a while to get used to

- ryuji is my favorite im the #1 ryuji fan🔥🔥🔥 HES SO AWESOME AND FUN and i love his personality and i thought his character is pretty well written, especially in the beginning. i adore ryuji ive never left him behind in a palace once. hes very interesting to me and i can think about him forever i love ryuji sakamoto🙏🙏

- ann is literally amazing and i thought her story was also great at the start. shes one of my favorites, my only complaint is i wish the game would stop sexualizing her. its like they forgot the point of her arc and everything she went through with kamoshida, which i very much dislike. thats not her fault tho awesome character

- yusuke is SO fun and eccentric, i adore how dramatic he is. i found his story really compelling and i also think hes funny

- makoto is cool, she kinda stands out a bit less than the others but thats fine. i think shes awesome and i dont have many issues with her in particular, but i do think shes kinda boring

- futaba omg her palace was SO INTERESTING its been my favorite palace so far. i was so engaged the entire palace, i just wanted to understand more of her character every day. i got up and cheered when she got her persona and i wrote a bunch of notes and theories. futaba is awesome love her

- haru's cool. idk her too well yet since i only really met her one palace ago, but shes nice and sweet and its very funny when shes not. also i hope we change her dumb stupid horrible fiance's heart in mementos (havent gotten far enough in her confidant to know how that goes yet)

- akechi is so fascinating to me. what is wrong with him i will find out. ive written page after page about him in my notes and i still cant figure him out, but what i do know is i think hes a liar and a snitch and a murderer and i like making fun of him. hes been my top priority confidant and i hope he has a palace and i hope its super cool and interesting

- oh and i tried to like morgana i really did but he annoys me and he needs to sit down and leave ann alone and let me stay up at night and stop telling me everything and bossing me around

- bonus round i think kasumi is also cool. apparently shes a royal exclusive character who's important to this third semester my friend keeps mentioning so im assuming that means i dont know much about her yet. which i can believe, i thought her confidant was nice and i thought she was sweet but that was about it until she got her persona. i was screaming in my notes about theories i havent been able to sort through to this day, but basically im interested to see where she goes in the future.

persona 5 theories bonus round (from a first time player around 11/10) (feel free to spoil im running away and hiding until i finish)

- wakaba isshiki discovered something VERY important and threatening to shido, such as how to get into the metaverse or something, which made her a threat so he sent akechi to kill her to 1. keep her quiet and 2. steal her research.

- sae niijima seems like shes becoming a problem. going off of my prior theories, i think she might get killed with a mental shutdown (however she definitely cant die in her own palace because shes alive and well for the interrogation) (unless we go back later?? after escaping law enforcement which i have many questions about??)

- maybe morgana never was a human in the first place and he'll have to accept himself for who he is who knows

- not necessarily a theory but dr maruki is very suspicious to me, it sounds like he made a huge breakthrough with his cognitive psience research and is planning to do something about it. how i have absolutely no idea but im side eyeing that man

- as for the final boss my only possible guess is shido OR...

- really considering the idea of akechi having a palace. im reluctant to think that because for a long time i was under the impression that persona users couldn't have palaces, but ever since futaba awakened to her persona inside her own palace ive been thinking hmmmm. akechi palace maybe maybe (i hope so that would be awesome) so perhaps his palace would be from that third trimester or whatever

another persona theory: after sae niijima, the next palace will belong to shido

i think shido will have a palace because of course he will. hes a super bad dude who has beef with the main character and keeps being established as present in the narrative and is actively opposing the phantom thieves.

i also think his palace will take place after sae niijima specifically to prevent his election as prime minister. (however we're literally getting betrayed and interrogated after the casino. how are we getting out of this)

another shido theory, i think hes directly using the man behind the slaughter (who is definitely goro akechi) for political gain. he uses that to get rid of any threats and im guessing he intentionally made okumura a target to send his assassin and frame the phantom thieves for murder. my only idea for what he could gain through this is sending said (akechi) assassin to kill the phantom thieves and... maybe look like hes saving the public to get more votes?? idk man im not a politician

and i think hes going next specifically because our current deadline for sae is like 11/17 and that seems like election time to me

playing persona 5 royal for the first time and bro i swear goro akechi literally kills people im so sure of it, heres my evidence👍👍 (currently around november 10 in game)

1. when morgana said something about pancakes akechi responded and i SWEAR i remember something along the lines of "only people who have been to the metaverse can understand morgana" and that was in june.

2. the man behind the slaughter or whatever is a persona user killing (shooting) people in the metaverse, which akechi has therefore shown hes been to (and also shows hes good at shooting at the arcade)

3. when joining the phantom thieves he claimed to have only been to the metaverse a month ago which directly contradicts the morgana evidence, meaning hes intentionally lying to us when talking about the killer, his persona and the metaverse.

4. when killing okumura and in akechi's flashback, the man behind the slaughter is portrayed as left handed. i swear every time i talk to akechi hes like "btw and i cannot stress this enough i am very extremely left handed" (to my knowledge hes the only character shown to be left handed and why else would it be so emphasized)

5. oh and i think this may be important so last time i (joker) hung out with bro he held me at gunpoint and fought me in a duel and told me he hates me and dramatically threw me his glove to schedule our future duel to the death in which he intends to win and murder me. so basically i think this man is already showing himself capable of being the man behind the slaughter anyways

IN CONCLUSION goro akechi literally kills people and he is the man behind the slaughter, i won't be returning to this blog until i finish the game so feel free to spoil everything in the tags it'll be fun to read later

you get it bro W take, might i add to my previous post that i dont hate the idea of amy being physically strong or a fighter. its just as meaningful to look at her and see the hard work and effort she put in, more than any of the other characters, to be a hero and save others the way sonic did for her. another aspect of amy im insane about is how she looks up to sonic, and shes also very relatable in that. sonic saved amy's life and that one act of kindness inspired her to do the same for others the way sonic also does for so many of his fans! ik personally i looked up to sonic immensely as a kid, seeing his stories made me want to be a hero as well and i love how thats reflected in amy.

first analysis post im gonna yap about sonic

amy saying "i'm not just a damsel in distress anymore" in frontiers absolutely sucks (very very late to say this but still)

she was NOT a damsel in distress for being kidnapped by metal sonic as a child, or for getting her own story alongside sonic and his superpowered friends just to save one bird, or for convincing gamma to help her and turn against eggman through her kindness, or for saving the entire world by inspiring shadow to fight for good with nothing but compassion and love for the world and everyone on it.

it's awesome to watch sonic and his friends use the chaos emeralds and be heroes, but we as an audience can't relate to that. we can't go super or run faster than light or save cities or defeat gods. but what we can do is help the people around us no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, and this is what amy represents. she has no superpowers, she doesn't fight aliens or gods or giant robots or evil geniuses. but she's given an entire story alongside everyone else in sonic adventure anyway, and in that story she shows she doesn't need to have these insane powers to be a hero, and the audience sees ourselves in her. we can't do that stuff either, and amy is there to show us that's okay and we can make a difference just by trying to help people in any way we can and having love for others around us.

so basically, amy is the sonic cast member that shows us we can be like sonic too, and we don't need to be physically strong to do it.

and then sega made her super strong with her crazy hammer, likely because they wanted the most prominent female character to be strong and independent and not a "damsel in distress" like her older characterization. she fights alongside sonic because she's physically strong enough to keep up and a useful asset. i dislike this interpretation of her character because it goes against the entire idea that her power is in her love and compassion rather than her skill or value to a team or any other quality that makes her just as good in a fight as anyone else. i don't necessarily dislike these interpretations of amy, but in being just another badass fighter she shows a far less valuable and relatable message, in my opinion.
