Miraculous Sage AU
Ever since Marinette was 10, she could see spirits.
She could see them, floating about, moving in and between the crowds of mortals who walk through the streets of Paris. Some were beautiful, others majestic, some horrifying, but all of them were adorned with bright and beautiful colors, and all of them kept trying to reach out to the humans in the crowd, hoping one of them would notice.
Soon however, one of them noticed that Marinette could see them. A spirit that looked like a Raven, clad in the colors of red and black.
Then another spirit noticed. Then another, then another. Soon all the spirits began to swarm Marinette, excited at the idea that a mortal could see them, after trying for so long to be heard.
Naturally, Marinette, being a 10 year old girl, was scared by these spirits. The Raven, having been silent this whole time, was able to calm the crowd of spirts, before speaking to the girl.
The Raven explained to the girl that they were not spirits all all, but in fact Kwamii, beings of idea and concepts brought forth from the mind of all living things, but were unable interact with the living world due to being higher beings.
The Raven revaled themselves as Nevaar, the Raven of Knowledge, who long ago met a man similar to Marinette. This person, known as the First Sage, created items known as Miraculous that allowed Kwamii to appear in the regular world, in a bid to use their powers for good. However, the Sage refused Nevaar a miraculous on the grounds that they were too erratic and sly to be allowed to appear in the mortal world, not at all subservient like the other chosen Kwami were.
So Nevaar left, and kept looking for someone else to help her, having stolen the knowledge of how Miraculouses were created from the Sage himself, having sneakily watched him work on the first miraculous of the Creation Kwamii Tikki. Which lead the Raven to Marinette, having possesed the same power as the Sage.
Though Marinette was scared of the Raven at first, Nevaar's tale soon won her heart over, and decided that she wanted to help the spirts. So with Nevaars help, Marinette created her first Miraculous, the Raven Miraculous, so that Nevaar could be by her side and offer the bluenette their wisdom.
Then she made another, and another, and so on.
By 13 years old, Marinette Dupain Cheng had her own Miracle Box, filled with the Miraculous of all the Kwami she met. Her quiet world would be turned upside down however, when Marinette was given a Miraculous from someone else. As Tikki woke up for the first time, she met Marinette ... along with all of the latter's Kwamii friends. "Um....hi?" said Marinette weakly.
AU summary
Marinette is a Sage, being one of the few people who could see Kwamii's as intangible spirts.
She gets this from both sides of her family. Sabine's family is descended from the first Sage in Tibet, while Tom's family comes from a European Sage who created the European sect of the Order of the Guardians.
Marinette meets Nevaar, along with a bunch of other Kwamii, when she's 10 years old.
Marinette and Nevaar become friends, and with Marinette's knowledge, creates her first Miraculous, the Raven miraculous.
As a result of her training by Nevaar, Marinette has learned to not only create Miraculouses, can also modify them, allowing or removing restrictions on it's powers or the Kwami.
Unlike the Miraculous created by the Order, Marinette's Miraculous do not force the Kwami to follow their wielder's orders, allowing them some independence. The only thing a Kwamii must do is transform, mostly so that a wielder can transform if needed
Thank's to Nevaar's influence, Marinette is much more braver earlier than in canon, allowing her to stand up to Chloe much earlier.
Still, canon plays out the same, resulting in her gaining the Ladybug Miraculous and Tikki.
Tikki is left baffled by the fact that their newest wielder is a Sage, and one with their own Miracle Box to boot.
Feel free to ask me questions!

In canon, a kwami's power must be used through a human wielding a miraculous, otherwise it'll have unforeseen consequences. So, in your AU, does Imago stealing Marinette's agonies cause any sort of trouble?
honestly the biggest unforeseen consequence is that this dude is around and being himself
no but for real, there should be a hypermassive consequence for a kwami unfettered peeking their head in, but there's not because of shit we'll get into later.
just consider it like this for the time being: now that Marinette is a sage and is capable of communing with the gods, she as a living being can be used as that intermediate conduit for power instead of the miraculous gems. If it was Tikki, for example, using her power raw with sage!Marinette, Mari would be able to access the power of creation or be swayed by it - however, it would put a massive strain on her, as she's not a miraculous but still capable of acting as that pipeline.
The reason Marinette has no ill effects from Imago, however, is because Imago is playing with a catch 22. Their purpose was to take agony away from Marinette, so even the exhaustion of accessing the unfettered power of a god was something he stole from her, so it seems like zero consequences have been had. In truth Imago is now SO tired holy moly and they DO NOT LIKE IT LMAO

Wisps of sand sting Soap's eyes as he attempts to keep a steady aim on his opponent. He wishes the bastard could have chosen any other day for confrontation, any day not on the cusp of a storm—but Soap is not not going to defend himself, either, so here he has no choice but to stand and face the sheriff.
"This is the end, Johnny," Graves calls, with false amicability and a very real edge, "Your days as an outlaw are over."
Soap snorts. He's certain he's heard those exact words before, be it from Graves or someone else on the so-called right side of the law, so somehow, some way, Soap doubts that this truly is where his life stops.
But in any case. He doesn't falter even as dust clings to him like an uncomfortable second skin.
"Awfully bold assumption," Soap grumbles. He shakes his head, makes certain there's a bullet set in place. He knows he's quicker than Graves—he just needs the right moment. "Let's just make this easy, aye?"
"Stand down, then." Graves shrugs a shoulder. Soap can't wait to rid him of that smug look. Just a little longer. "That easy enough for you, partner?"
Soap scoffs. Rolls his shoulders. Readies his trigger finger. Opens his mouth to offer one last retort and—
A shot rings out, quick and brutal and loud. Soap frowns. He still stands, he still has all his bullets, and his gun certainly isn't smoking. He glances back to Graves and sees the sheriff is wide-eyed, gun forgotten at his clutches his stomach, where crimson blooms in uneven petals across his uniform.
Graves collapses. Soap doesn't allow his arm to fall to his side just yet, still uncertain of the origin of the shot.
Then a searing-hot barrel is pressed to the crown of his head, just beneath the rim of Soap's hat.
"What's your business?" A deep baritone asks, voice somehow muffled in spite of being near right in Soap's ear. It rumbles through Soap as his hands involuntarily raise in surrender.
"Was trying to save my honour," Soap rasps. "What's yours?"
Miraculously, the pressure of the barrel falls away from Soap's head. He hears the weapon be holstered, and Soap takes a deep breath.
"Doin' a shit job," the stranger mutters. He then adds, much to Soap's surprise, "John MacTavish."
Soap whirls around. "How do you—"
The words die on his tongue as soon as he's facing his saviour—and near murderer—and finds the man to be none other than The Ghost. Famed outlaw; a legend. Never captured, hardly seen, and believed by many to not even be real. Yet here he exists, clad in all black despite the heat, face half-obscured.
It's bad, Soap thinks, that his first observation is just about how nice The Ghost's eyes are.
"I know quite a bit about you, Johnny," Ghost hums.
Though Soap has hated that nickname from the mouth of many others—particularly a certain recently deceased sheriff—he feels a pleasant shiver roll up his spine at Ghost's use.
Soap cocks an eyebrow. "That so?"
Ghost nods sagely. He looks Soap up and down, assessing, before raising his chin. "I hear you're good with explosives."
"I might be." Soap says slowly, shrugging a shoulder. "What for?"
Ghost narrows his eyes. Soap can almost hear a smile in his tone as he says, "I have a job for you. If you accept, that is."
Soap tilts his head. His heart beats an erratic rhythm. "If I don't?"
There's definitely a smile now. "Then this really will be your end. Partner."
And, well. Who is Soap not to say yes to an opportunity to work with The Ghost?

hi, can i request something? i was thinking that we don't get to see rama hearing about sita (who's miraculous birth and deeds must have been stories that spread to ayodhya as well as other kingdoms) before they meet as we do see sita hearing about rama and admiring him in adaptations. so, it would be great if you could write an au on 5 times rama heard about sita and 1 time he told someone about her (maybe luv-kush or hanuman/the vanaras). thank you!
Hello there! Thanks for the ask, this was very interesting to write, and I discovered I have so many opinions and headcanons about a bunch of characters and their relationships I could make a whole entire post out of it. Also, this is a 4k+ monster, so beware :D
1.
“They found her where?”
Rama looks up from his dessert blearily to where Bharata is frowning at their King Father. It is a sweet spring morning, and their family is gathered around the table breaking their fast. Beside his drooping self, Lakshmana bounces restlessly.
“I want the curd,” he whines.
Mother Kaikeyi answers her son as she passes the dish over. “She was buried in the earth, and King Janaka found her under the plough.”
“How was she not mowed down? Do people stare at the ground as they plough? Why did the oxen not trample her? How did she survive in the heat? Who put her- ”
“Bharata,” Mother Kaikeyi frowns at him. “One question at a time. Someone must have left her there – a god, perhaps, or some poor peasant who did not have money to feed a child. How she survived the heat and the yoke and the oxen I do not know. A miracle, clearly, and proof that the child is blessed.”
“I hope Janaka raises her as his own,” Mother Sumitra says, waving her hand vaguely in the air, “since he found her and everything.”
“Found who?” Rama asks at last, finally interested in the conversation.
“A baby,” Shatrughan grouses. He is five summers old and has formed many opinions on babies ever since Shanta didi brought Rahul over; not one of them is complimentary. “I do not understand what the fuss is all about. Surely, it is as ugly and dirty as all others.”
Mother Koushalya laughs. “You know, a mere couple of years ago, you were a baby yourself.”
“Ew.”
“Now, now,” Father chides him. “Mithila is suffering from terrible droughts. Mayhaps the child will bring them good luck.”
“That is an awful lot of hope to pin on a babe,” Mother Sumitra remarks, cynical as ever.
There is a blessed silence as everyone contemplates this. Mithila falling out of Indra’s favour is old news; over the past years many messengers have come and gone from Ayodhya’s royal court, and many carts have rolled between the two kingdoms, bearing grains that would never be enough. Mithila had enough fertile lands to feed herself, but her people were more inclined to knowledge and learning, and rarely took up tools to divert rivers or dig canals. The seasonal monsoons watered most of their lands; without it the crops had withered and burnt in their fields, and the hard earth cracked open to gaping maws unsuitable for any agricultural endeavor. That a mere girl, however divine-born she might have been, could cure such a calamity…
“In any case,” Mother Koushalya says primly, giving their father A Look, “let us hope King Janaka will take her for the blessing she is. Daughters are not to be forsaken.”
Father sighs. “Dear, please…” he murmurs, then quails under his wife’s glare. Daughters are a sore subject between Ayodhya’s King and her eldest Queen.
“Do we know what her name is?” Rama asks, and Mother Kaikeyi smirks at his unsubtle attempt to steer the conversation away.
Dasharatha latches onto the distraction with both hands. “Whose name? The girl’s?”
Rama nods.
“They named her after the furrow she was found in.”
“Oh?”
“Mhmm,” Dasharatha smiles. “She is called Sita.”
2.
It is late when Guru Vishwamitra decides to halt for the night and invites the brothers to sit by their little fire.
“You did well today,” he says, and Rama thinks the sage almost looks pleased.
“It was all your blessings, Guruji,” he demurs, “and that of our parents’.”
Beside him Lakshmana supresses a snort, noting how he left Guru Vashistha out of the mix. While their companion ruminates on this with a beatific smile, his brother whispers in his ears, “You are going to be a great politician one day.”
Rama elbows him. Lakshmana elbows back, and then it is a boyish game that is barely discreet. Rama can feel the beginnings of a smile twitching on his face.
They are interrupted by Guru Vishwamitra, who folds his hands sternly over his lap, turns to them, and asks, without the barest hint of hesitation, “Say, Rama, have you ever thought of marriage?”
Rama sputters. Beside him, Lakshmana tenses, prepared to fend off any and all questions until Rama decides what to answer, like he always did back in Ayodhya, because Rama has the best brother in the whole wide world. But Guru Vishwamitra rolls over any protests.
“We shall stop at Mithila next, and the noble King Janaka has under his care four comely young maidens – two his own, and two his brother’s.”
The crickets chirp in the shadow of the forest. Rama stares, unblinking and silent.
“Forgive my impudence, revered one,” Lakshmana says at last, when it becomes evident that Rama will not answer, “but my brother believes it is improper to speak of such matters without consulting our elders.” His brother chances a glance at him. “And he also thinks the man and the woman should get to know each other beforehand.”
The last part is entirely Lakshmana’s own addition, since he despises the idea of marriage and has long hoped to turn away any potential suitors by acting churlishly. That is unlikely to happen, given that few fathers care for their daughters’ opinions, and Lakshmana is charming even in his devilry. Rama refrains from mentioning any of this, especially because Lakshmana has clearly caught the ‘four maidens’ comment.
Guru Vishwamitra nods, meanwhile, as if he has expected something such all along.
“That is all very well, my boy, but let me tell you this. Janaka’s eldest child is the mightiest woman to ever walk upon Aryavart, and the most virtuous. When she was yet a child, she lifted with one dainty hand the Destroyer’s bow. Then her father declared that such a maiden’s hand may only be claimed by one who could perform a similar feat.”
“How… awe-inspiring,” Rama manages at last, already daunted by the thought of this princess.
Guru Vishwamitra smiles. It is the kind of smile that Shatrughan has when someone is about to find dead fish among their clothes.
“Do not worry about your father,” the sage says nonchalantly. “We shall reach Mithila by tomorrow. Look sharp, Rama, it is the princess’s Swayamvar. You will lift the Pinaka, and then knowledge and valour shall be wedded, and what a joyous day it shall be! Do you not agree?”
“Ah, Guruji,” Rama gropes about for anything that will dissuade him. “The Pinaka is a legendary bow, and I am but a young boy.”
“I have faith in your ability, Bhaiyya,” says the traitor heretofore known as Lakshmana, Rama’s brother, “and as he told you, our Guru thinks similarly.”
“I do not even know her name,” Rama says, desperately elbowing Lakshmana when the latter starts to snicker.
Their Guru shrugs. “That is easily solved. She is called Sita.”
3.
Rama is broken. There is no other way to put it – this empty haze that mars his sight, this endless sorrow that mires him down, this bleak, bleak search that shall never end – Rama is irrevocably ruined.
He feels nothing save grief and rage, and knows nothing save that they must go on and on and on, till they have eclipsed the earth thrice over, till they have searched every nook and cave and treeshade, pausing neither for food nor rest nor death.
He screams, sometimes at the forest and sometimes into the earth, and sometimes at foolish, foolish Lakshmana, who is so exhausted and so dear, and Rama thinks he knows what the Pinaka’s master will do at the breaking of the world, for he feels that catastrophe within the traitorous organ beating in his chest, calling through the bars of his bones like a forgotten prisoner, ‘Sita! Sita! Sita!’
“Bhaiyya, please,” Lakshmana begs, gripping his shoulders tighter than ever before.
Once Rama was stronger, but now he even struggles to loosen his hold. “Let me go,” he wails, writhing and unseeing. “I will not, I cannot- ”
“You need to, Bhaiyya,” Lakshmana insists, tightening his hands, pressing fingers to the hollow between Rama’s clavicle and collarbone.
Rama shakes like Mount Meru trembling under Sachi’s wrath. “I need to?” he demands. “I need to? Like you needed to leave Sita, needed to search for me, despite your faith in me, despite knowing that- ”
Lakshmana’s hands unclench, and Rama finds himself sinking. His gaze clears, little by little, and he hears his brother make a strange, muffled sound, and he is sinking to his knees, familiar hands guiding him, but no longer restraining. There is an Asoka’s trunk to his right, and he is made to lean against it, all gentle-soft and slow. When he looks up, Lakshmana’s face is turned away, tears leaking out of the corner of his eye, mingling with the blood on his chin from where he has bitten his lip to hold back a sob.
“Lakshmana,” he murmurs, reaching out to him, and oh, there are flecks of dried blood on his knuckles, and oh, Lakshmana’s temple is a sickly purple when he looks back, like the costliest dhoti muddied by rain, and when, oh, when did he strike the most beloved of brothers, and why?
Lakshmana is kneeling beside him, always one reverent inch behind the bend of his arm, running a thumb over the crimson remnants of violence.
“It was not your fault,” he soothes, lilting like a childhood song. “You did not see me coming.”
When? he wants to ask, how? But the haze returns like insidious tendrils of fog. He should be comforting Lakshmana, he thinks, for it was always his job to quieten his brother’s temper. Lakshmana needs comforting, he knows, but Lakshmana is not angry. Why, then…
Someone shakes his shoulder. “Bhaiyya?”
“Uh,” he offers intelligently.
“I am going to get some water, okay? Please, please do not leave. You need to rest awhile; we are no use to Bhabhi if we are dead.”
He waits for Rama to nod his assent, and leaves with tear-tracks on his cheeks. That was why Rama should have comforted his brother – Lakshmana was crying. And now he is gone, and Rama is seated under a tree waiting for him to bring water, like that blind old couple had so many years ago waited in vain for Shravana Kumara. They cursed his father for slaying the boy, and that curse drags ever on, even today. What would Rama do if some stray arrow found his brother’s heart? Would he curse the shooter, even if it was a chance of fate? No, he thinks, he would hunt them down, and then burn cursed Dandaka, all the way from the Vindhyas to the unresting sea, with every man and beast and rakhshasha in it.
Perhaps because he has such a keen ear, or perhaps because he is thinking about it, he hears a terrible, piercing groan, and shoots up. The sound comes again, and Rama runs. It does not occur to him that he runs the other way, or that he should take his bow. All he does is plough through the tall trees, tripping on roots and choking on outstretched branches, fighting against Aranyani’s will.
When he finally stumbles upon the body, all he can think of is that it isn’t Lakshmana. Then the groan comes again, and he rushes over to the feathered being, kneels by its side. Once, it must have been a great bird, but now there are only stumps where the wings would have been, and it has a gaping hole in its stomach.
“My dear,” Rama says, already knowing it beyond saving, “rest. All will be well.”
To his surprise, the bird opens its eyes. “Who are you?” it asks, in a distinctly masculine voice.
“Rama, son of Dasharatha,” Rama says, and looks up to some scuffling. “That is my brother, Lakshmana,” he adds, as said brother tumbles into the clearing with wide eyes, twin bows and ruffled hair.
“Dasharatha?” Clarity rushes to the bird’s eyes. “Once, I, Jatayu, named him friend. Wait, you are Rama and Lakshmana? That woman called for you.”
“So we are,” Lakshmana agrees, kneeling as well. “What woman sought us, noble Jatayu?”
“The fairest of them,” Jatayu says, “with the darkest curls and most beautiful mien I ever knew. She wept from the perch of the Pushpaka Vimana and called high and low for aid, even as Ravana took her ever southward to his golden state. I sought to free her, friends, and so I fell wingless from the sky.”
Rama dares not hope, dares not breathe. “Southward?” he asks, settling on the least painful, and most important detail.
“Southwards to Lanka,” Jatayu explains, words slurring again, “to that seagirt island he names his own. I shall not be here long, but I beg you, make haste my friends.”
There is a noose uncoiling from Rama’s chest. He needs to thank Jatayu for his aid, for trying to save his wife, for being their father’s friend; he needs to make sure he passes away in peace. And he will do it all, only after one last question.
“Do you know who she was?”
“Mhmm,” Jatayu hums. “She called herself Sita.”
4.
Hanuman leads them up Mount Rishyamukh with nimble leaps and fleet feet. Rama and Lakshmana toil behind, each hard-faced so as not to give away how strenuous they find all this jumping.
“I feel like a stray goat,” his brother mutters, teeth clenched to hold back huffs. “He is showing off for you, and naturally, I am the one caught in the middle.”
“If you think I am enjoying this…” Rama begins, then sighs to mask his panting.
“Then why do you not ask our guide to slow down? He seems to like you well enough.”
Rama snootily turns his nose up in the air. “We are the scions of Ikshvaku, heirs of the Raghu clan. We must endure.”
“You mean you must endure.” Lakshmana’s voice is sardonic as he continues, “If my honour comes from attempted suicide by heat exhaustion, I care little for it.”
“If I have to climb up this thrice-damned mountain without protest, then so will you.”
Silence. Rama turns, alarmed, half afraid his jesting has been taken seriously. They have not spoken about everything that came to pass in the weeks before meeting Jatayu, and although Lakshmana’s bruise has long healed, Rama’s heart has not. But no, his brother is smirking and shaking his head, and when Lakshmana speaks, his voice quivers with mirth. “You are mean.”
Rama exhales, yet relief does not come.
“Lak- ” he begins, but is immediately interrupted by a joyous shout from above.
“Prabhu!” Hanuman beams down at them, “We are here.” Then he turns and addresses someone else, “Oh, please do tell Maharaj Sugriva, he shall be most elated.”
Lakshmana eyes the remaining steps and then surveys the distance they have come.
“This should not have been so difficult,” he mumbles, and Rama is inclined to agree. Once the two of them could have scaled the peak without breaking a sweat and run three miles afterwards. All that crying and bumbling about the forest must have made them soft.
Sugriva – dressed in old finery and worn purples – comes to meet them in a great, cavernous hall, reeking of cheap wine and misery. The crown on his head is scratched and askew.
“Show them what we found,” he tells one of the attendants, after Hanuman has recounted their tale of woe, and nods to them. “Please, have a seat, my lords.”
Rama sits and tries not to quiver with anticipation. This is it. He can feel it in the air – this is the key to rescuing Sita. Lakshmana stands by his side, half a step behind, and places a hand on his shoulder.
“We found them on the ground,” Sugriva says, tail flicking nervously. “By the time I was called, it was all over, but my Vanaras say a great golden chariot had flown across the skies, and from it came the weeping of a maiden most fair.”
He pauses, as a worn pouch is brought in, and a bearer places tall earthen glasses of drinks before them. Rama ignores the latter and reaches for the pouch.
“This has the ornaments you found?”
“Yes.”
Rama pulls apart the string holding it together and turns it over on his palm. A familiar necklace falls out, thick and glittering gold, followed by a lonely earring, a chain, and an anklet strung with little bells.
Rama stares.
“Prabhu?” Hanuman probes. “Are these the ones you seek?”
“Yes,” he breathes, fingers trembling, stroking the trinkets as if they could somehow pass on his affection to their beloved wearer. “These are hers.”
He looks up to an assortment of pitying glances. They can tell the woman is someone important, though neither Rama nor his brother had revealed in as many words that Sita was his wife. Did they think of him an idiot, a desperate father, or a maddened brother, or a lovelorn husband clutching to circumstantial proof of a dear one’s presence?
As he has done these past weeks, and all their lives, Lakshmana comes to the rescue. “I recognise the anklet.”
Sugriva hesitates. “My Lord Lakshmana?”
“The anklet,” he repeats. “I saw it every morn when I knelt for her blessings. I would not confuse them for any other.”
“And the others?”
“Uh,” Lakshmana blinks. “I would not dare be so importune with a lady as to stare at her person” – here Rama catches Sugriva stiffen minutely, as a guilty man does when caught, but Lakshmana has spoken without malice, and it passes as quickly as comes – “but her sister has an earring of similar fashion.”
“You will not look at her but you will look at her sister,” Sugriva notes, and it is interesting how he has latched onto that.
Lakshmana turns pink. “I married her sister?” he says, phrasing it like a question, as if all those days with Urmila were a fever dream. Rama can relate.
There is an awkward pause, and his brother plows on with all the daintiness of the bulls that once ploughed the land Sita rose from. “What was she like?”
“I told you – I have not seen her. My people told me this: that she was the fairest maiden they ever beheld, shining like the sun at high noon, that her voice was like starlight, and that she called for the scions of Raghu to aid her. Twice she called for one Raghurai, and once for a Saumitra.”
Rama cannot help the smile on his face. Of course, Sugriva will surely ask for some terrible recompense, but he is an outcast King, and exiled besides. He will not shirk from helping.
Beside him, he feels his brother relax. “She is no mere maid,” Lakshmana drawls. “She is the daughter of King Janaka, of distant Mithila, and the wife of Rama, prince of Ayodhya. She is Sita.”
5.
Rama eyes the prodigious young twins seated on the floor of his court. They are young, barely a year older than Bharata’s oldest, and the sight of them makes something in Rama’s chest tremble. It has been a long time since he has been blessed with the sight of his wife, save in the terrible gilded statue that occupies her place beside him. Today, though, he sees her everywhere – in the curls of the twins' hair, in the way the older one smiles, and the younger wrinkles his nose. He sees her even in the way they hold their veena, which makes little sense, given that most people hold their instruments the same way.
They had introduced themselves as students of Rishi Valmiki, without any patronymic. That means nothing. They could simply be referring to the one who sent them here. But their mother must have been pregnant the same time as Sita, if age is any indication, and Sita had been having twins, and they did look awfully like her...
“Greetings, Your Majesty,” says Kusha, the older twin, his hair sticking up like the grass he was named for.
His voice is a blessing, for it derails Rama's terrible thoughts, and a curse, for it sounds so like Sita's that he may as well be in Mithila's gardens more than two decades ago, facing a demure princess who would later be his wife.
This is folly, he thinks, nodding at the young ones, permitting them audience.
Kusha continues, “Our Guru, the mighty sage Valmiki, was immensely inspired by your tale. Thus, he composed an epic, so all the world may remember the valour of Shri Rama.”
“It is still being written as we speak,” Luv says, picking up where his brother left, “but we have learnt in song all that was penned down before we departed. If His Majesty pleases, we would be honoured to present it to you.”
Rama stares, then hesitates. Seeking self-praise is the path to downfall, and the story is painful besides. All save Lakshmana look eager – even Urmila, though she must have been told everything, either by her husband or by Sita. He should praise their dedication and send them away with blessings and a few gifts. There is no point in unearthing such sorrow again, not when the story has no triumph, and Sita is not by his side.
Luv and Kusha look up at him, familiar doe eyes wide and beseeching. They are clutching each other’s hands, tense with anticipation. Rama opens his mouth to disappoint them, and instead says, “Very well, we shall hear you.”
He could have cursed himself them, but the answering smiles he receives wash away all self-recrimination.
The courtiers clasp their hands and lean forward, and the boys bob their heads in a semblance of a bow.
“Hear us,” Luv proclaims, “for we sing of Rama, son of Dasharatha, of blessed Ayodhya.”
It is a familiar tale, of the joys of his childhood and the days at the Gurukul, the love of his father and three gentle mothers. But Rama knows, the grief is about to come.
He allows a tremulous smile when they sing of Sita’s Swayamvara, for it was a joyous occasion. He holds his breath when Ravana of the tale carries Sita away, but pain lances through him only once. He trembles when they exalt Sita’s resolve in the face of misery, trapped in her golden prison, and shivers when they recount Lakshmana’s deadly injury.
But just as he thinks that perhaps, having lived through it once, he has numbed himself enough to be able to get through this without the waterworks, the song rolls to their victory, and to Sita’s freedom.
“And then Rama of the golden bow,” Kusha intones, “says ‘I have not yet sunk so low, to take back unquestioned a spouse that has lived a year in another’s house.’”
Half the court inhales, and Rama feels a telltale burn behind his eyes. What has he done? He wants to throw out the boys, forgetting his fondness for them, wants to scream and curse and run away. But he is an Emperor, and this is his court, and such behaviour is unbecoming. The lay turns stern and punishing, quickening to a chant.
Sita in the epic stands as straight and bold as she had all those years ago, before an army of thousands. Her hair is a riot of curls blacker than the length of Nisha’s dread night; her face is as gaunt as Dhumavati’s terrible mien. When she speaks her voice is Indra’s thunder across the sky, devoid of any love or affection. “If you shall question me, husband,” she says, “then may Agni judge me. Lakshmana, son, make me a pyre.”
Lakshmana of the tale weeps, as he does in real life, both then and now. And Ravana’s captive, all molten iron clothed in a delicate body, walks out of the pyre unblemished and unburnt, lit red and orange and yellow – a living flame. For she is Janaka’s daughter and Rama’s wife, but she is also the mightiest woman that Aryavart would ever know, and the most virtuous.
The song ends with exaltations of their victory, and the joy of reunion, but Rama, seated beside a lamentable golden mockery of a woman he once named his own, hears none of it. His tears come hot and unbidden, like summer tempests across the plain, and he weeps and weeps and weeps.
+1.
Luv kneels on the green grass, wide eyes following an eagle's flight across the sky. Rama strokes his head, soft and gentle and in love. It is a tranquil morning, and Rama wonders if he should postpone court to prolong this moment. Beside him, Kusha hums softly, sprawled over the grass.
“You look melancholic,” Rama observes.
Kusha shrugs. Rama has yet to learn all his son’s expressions, but this one he knows intimately. His son misses Sita. Now that she is not here, it is his duty to comfort him. The thought warms Rama's heart nigh as much as it chills.
“Your mother,” he begins, then hesitates, unsure.
Kusha sits up. “What of her?” he demands, cornered and defensive.
Rama holds up his hands, feels Luv’s glower boring into the side of his face. Sita is a sensitive topic, lying between them with the treachery of a coiled snake, defying the peaceful manner of its namesake.
“Would you like to hear about her?” he offers at last.
Kusha frowns. Luv crawls over to look at his face. “Hear what?”
“Whatever you wish to know.” Rama will likely come to regret this, for they undoubtedly will ask something difficult to answer, but as the furrows part from Kusha’s brows, Rama thinks they can push through. He opens his arms, gathering them close, and kisses the top of their heads. Like this, it is not hard to understand why Dasharatha thirsted so desperately for sons, even if he was fated to die grieving for them.
Kusha interrupts his musing with a question. “Do you love her?”
“Of course!” Rama is scandalised enough that Kusha has the decency to look a little guilty.
That, however, does not stop him from his next question. “Why?”
“Why what?”
“Why do you love her?”
Rama cannot believe they are having this conversation, even though he can see why they might be curious.
“How could I not?” he says at last, when it becomes evident that silence will not make Kusha forget his question. “Sita was the loveliest woman – kind, generous, and brave.”
Kusha does not appear the least bit happy and Rama startles when Luv pokes his arm.
“Nuh-uh,” his son says, “those are easy things to say. You have to pick one.”
Rama opens his mouth to answer, then pauses. This is some sort of a test. Luv and Kusha have been wary of him ever since they arrived at the palace, hiding away from him and mingling mostly with their cousins. He is suddenly aware that this answer could have tremendous repercussions. But what can he say to such a question? How can he define peerless Sita with one virtue?
The children look up at him expectantly, so Rama clears his throat and tries to think. Sita was charming, and her beauty helped, but that was not the foremost of merits.
“Sita was… good at being good,” Rama says slowly, barely able to keep himself from quailing at the twin raised eyebrows. “It is hard to explain, you understand? But her virtues were restrained. She was terribly forgiving, but not so forgiving that she would take upon her a sentence twice over when she knew herself to be innocent. She could be generous, but never to a fault. She was selfless, but not so selfless that she would deny herself easy pleasures.”
And was that not true? Sita was pure, and in his heart of hearts Rama knows that even if Ravana touched or defiled her, even if Agni burnt her, it would only be her body that fell, only her vessel of flesh that would be blamed; her soul was far too pure and mighty to be affected.
And this is Raghuvamsa’s folly – they will cling to promises and tradition even in death, will give up sons to satisfy wives, forgive villainous servants and shy from righteous rage, forsake wives for the words of ignorant men. Had Rama not loved Sita for the same reason he loved Lakshmana? That even follies were to be embraced, even elders could be spoken against, even golden deer could be chased for the sheer joy of it.
“She had no excesses,” Rama tells their children. “She would forgive me for testing her once, but not twice. And I do not think I could have loved her as much if she accepted it.”
Luv and Kusha are looking at him. Rama tries to blink away his tears, but they come and come and come.
“Sita…” His breath catches, but he plows on. “They tell us that it is important to be selfless, to never ask for more than you have – not unless you can earn it yourself. But Sita knew I loved giving her things – clothes, jewels, flowers, anything. And even in the forest she would ask for a flower or a fruit or a sapling, because she knew it brought me joy. She cared.” The tears are falling now, but Rama cannot stop. “She cared, and then I threw it away. I knew her, and I failed her.”
Rama puts his face in his hands and sobs. All this, and he is not even sure he has managed an answer. He starts at the feel of small hands, and of cheeks pressed against each shoulder.
“What is past is gone,” Kusha murmurs, close by his ear. “But we are here. Father, we will always be here.”
The gong for the court sounds, yet no one moves. Perhaps, Rama thinks wearily, he has not failed at everything.

[NiF fic snippet]
so in order to unblock myself on my first NiF WIP I started another NiF WIP, surely nothing can go wrong here
post-canon, everyone lives au, ot3 agenda in full swing. unofficially titled one beautiful morning, Lin Shu woke to find the Son of Heaven at his door.
-
The gate to the yard is open. He is under no illusion that he's been let this close unobserved, but he ties his horses next to the watering trough by the gate, and goes in.
The path to the house is paved with smooth stones. Somewhere out of sight, chickens cluck and flutter, and a pigeon coos mournfully. A woman emerges from the house: a trim, solid figure in the shade of the veranda.
"Husband," she calls over her shoulder, "the messenger is here! I'll see him in."
She comes into the sunlight, and he chokes on nothing but the sight of her. Her garb is simple, unlike the rich silks she would wear to court, but the years sit lightly upon her shoulders; the spring in her step is as supple as ever. While her hair is tied low in the sedate fashion of a married woman, it still falls down her back thick and dark as a stroke of good ink.
Last time he saw her, she knelt to him at a private audience and asked for his leave to marry. Her betrothed, his dearest friend, their childhood companion, had lived through the battles in the north. A miraculous recovery, some claimed. The skill of his doctor, she asserted.
She brought the news knowing it would be a sword through his heart, and still she was right when she said, I did not want you to hear this from anyone else. I hope you will forgive me someday, Your Majesty.
There's nothing to forgive, Princess, he told her, half-strangled by hurt and relief and breathtaking love. He is alive. How can I not be glad?
With an aching smile and another obeisance, she left with his imperial permission to wed the jianghu scholar Su Zhe.
Here, in the sunlit yard, it takes her a few paces to understand he isn't coming to meet her or offering a greeting, like the courier she's mistaken him for would. Her brow furrows—there are lines there he does not remember, either—and slowly, her hand goes to her mouth.
He watches her war with herself, swamped in her astonishment. Her gaze swims with the same tangled things that shoot up into his own mind, splintering the lull of the ride.
If she says Your Majesty now, he—he does not know. He will crumple and fall. He journeyed for a month to be here, and there, the plan ends.
"Xiao Jingyan," Mu Nihuang whispers through her trembling fingers. "What are you—how in the name of—"
Should he bow, he thinks, wild, unmoored—kneel in the sand of the yard like a lord of yore, come to entreat a sage hidden in the hills?
Mu Nihuang is no sage, or even a wife to one. But she was once the Princess-Marshal of Yunnan. She's rarely met a hurdle she did not try to vault head-on.
"Stay there," she says, as if he would move for all treasures in the empire. She rounds on her heel to shout back into the house, "Beloved husband! Perhaps you'd care to explain why the Son of Heaven, His Imperial Majesty, may he reign for ten thousand years, is standing in my yard?"
There is a loud clatter from inside. His heart jolts in echo: beloved husband. The tint of fondness in her annoyance. This peaceful, prosperous house, the veranda freshly sanded, the jasmine in bloom, like dawn clouds perched on the boughs.
What is he doing? As if compelled by the same question, Nihuang looks him up and down: travel-stained, dishevelled, half-mad with purpose and yearning.
"I'm not that anymore," he says, rough with disuse. The horses do not make for great conversationalists. "I left, Nihuang. I stepped down."

SOCIAL MEDIA AUs: Below you'll find a list of Good Omens fics that contain elements of social media such as Instagram, Youtube & Co.
You can request more fic recs here.
twitter cryptids by doctormissy (T, 36k)
Crowley's latest brilliant idea involves ranting about his undying love tiny crush on Aziraphale on Twitter instead of actually dealing with his feelings now that the world didn't end. Because he will never find out, right? Right?
Press L in the Chat (for Love) by Djapchan, Phoenix_Soar (E, 29k)
Bickering fan-content creators Aziraphale and Crowley only have three things in common — they are both avid fans of a new revolutionary TV series about pirates, they are popular for their fantastic fanfiction and fanart… and they are members of the same discord server. Neither of them likes the other, but across the chaotic virtual world of a discord chatroom, who knows what can happen when these two unlikely fans are paired up for an exciting collaboration? Us. We know ;) Discord Server AU — a collaboration between Phoenix_Soar (fic) and Djapchan (multivoice podfic organization & editing) for Pod-Together 2022
Angelic Whispers by AppleSeeds (T, 20k)
Crowley runs a very popular ASMR YouTube channel, but is considering applying for a job at a real life ASMR spa. He books an appointment as a client to try out the experience for himself, but becomes completely flustered when he meets the ridiculously gorgeous ASMR therapist, Aziraphale, who will be spending the next hour giving him unrelenting personal attention.
No Picture Can Express by nutmeag83 (T, 12k)
Ezra Fell prefers books (and discretely watching the lovely florist down the street) to social media, but takes up the hobby at Madame Tracy's urging. Anthony Crowley has been pining after his neighbor for ages, happy to keep his distance until Ezra asks him to tutor him in using Instagram. They find they have more in common than just having shops on the same block in Soho.
your smile speaks books to me by laiqualaurelote (T, 5k)
Aziraphale's bookshop becomes accidentally famous on Instagram, to his great distress. Since Crowley invented Instagram, it's also his problem.
it's a new craze by attheborder (T, 5k)
CROWLEY: I try not to make a habit of gratitude, but I must give our appreciation to everyone out there who’s been listening and subscribing to The Ineffable Plan. AZIRAPHALE: Ooh, yes, we’ve become quite popular, haven’t we? CROWLEY: Yeah, just hit number eight on the advice charts … No advertising at all. AZIRAPHALE: Mm. How … miraculous. CROWLEY: … Aziraphale. You did not.   *** Crowley and Aziraphale are very possibly the people least qualified, on the entire planet, to start up an advice podcast. But what else is there to do when the world isn’t ending anytime soon, you’re technically on indefinite sabbatical from your lifelong careers, and you need a plausible excuse to spend more time with your best friend who you’re definitely not, absolutely not, maybe just a little, actually maybe overwhelmingly in love with?
You've Got Kudos by curtaincall (M, 4k)
Aziraphale and Crowley both write fanfiction. As it happens, they both write Good Omens fanfiction. Of course, neither of them would ever admit this to the other. (A love story told primarily in AO3 comments)
London Book Shop Recommendations? by nothankyoudear (G, 3k)
A.Z. Fell and Co. is recommended as a local London bookshop on a Reddit post. Chaos ensues when someone actually takes the recommendation and goes there, only to find that: 1. They don't get to buy books 2. The gentle bookshop owner apparently owns a giant python And 3. The bookshop owner is 100% in love with his best friend with the sunglasses OR Ineffable Husbands told through Reddit posts.
Parsley, Thyme, Sage, Daffodils by MostWeakHamlets (G, 3k)
Aziraphale has a cooking show on the internet. It started out with three viewers, but now he's known as the happy grandfather that blew up overnight. Crowley occasionally makes cameos, has dedicated his garden to giving Aziraphale fresh herbs and vegetables, and struggles with living after the apocalypse. _ “Taste this, my dear,” Aziraphale said. He held a spoonful of jam to Crowley’s lips with his free hand cautiously under it, ready to catch any dripping. Crowley leaned forward to wrap his lips around the spoon. Most likely his shyness came from the small tender moments Aziraphale was not afraid of showing the world. It had been the topic of many long conversations after Aziraphale took Crowley’s hand in St. James Park, causing Crowley to freeze and break out in a cold sweat. Being discreet had always been their top priority. For 6,000 years, someone would have surely seen them if they embraced in the middle of London. But now, Aziraphale had assured Crowley, things were different. They no longer needed to hide, but Aziraphale would go as slow as Crowley needed him to. It was almost funny how their roles had switched after the apocalypse.
Crowley Invented Youtube Recommended (Parsley, Thyme, Sage, Daffodils remix) by flibbertygigget (T, 1.9k)
After Aziraphale's video on crêpes makes it into Youtube recommendations through a little demonic intervention, he quickly goes viral. Cue college students just trying to make it work, a bunch of young queers who see A.Z. Fell and his husband Anthony as "goals," and quite a few comments from one Newton Pulsifer.
Get Connected by AgentStannerShipper (G, 1k)
Crowley signs Aziraphale up for social media. Even if it's a slightly outdated one.

Bloody Bug - Power Upgrades
I've gone over the unifications and other aspects of Bloody Bug that differ from canon, but one I've neglected is the power upgrades for the holders. Where the show had the temp power-ups like Aqua and Ice forms, it works so much differently in Bloody Bug. So, let's get into it.
Summary:
This system is a mix of the concept from Miraculous AU where the team gets stronger as they get closer to their kwamis and use their powers more, along with Salvation's Avatars in term of power scaling and means of acquiring. To move up through the stages, a holder must consume a special elixir that attunes them to the kwamis, making them stronger and unlocking new abilities.
There are four known stages with a secret fifth and sixth. I'm going to break them down here and highlight what each stage offers.
Sage 1:
Tumblr media
These are the most basic holder and what you'd find in canon, minus the ability to unify. As of season 3, these holders include Harlequin, Pom Pom, and Outlaw. Hawkmoth is technically here too, but no one cares about him.
Stage 2:
Tumblr media
This is the first big upgrade that offers that ability to unify up to 3 kwamis. It also unlocks passive powers based on the animal of the kwami. As some examples:
Bomb Bee can hover, walk on walls and ceilings much like a bug, and can't be exhausted or fatigued while transformed
Death Noire can scale walls and cling to ceilings using claws, has further enhanced jump, speed, and agility, and see in the dark
Porcelet has incredible smell, fantastic memory, and enhanced hearing.
Gallic Chick can glide, use her heels as spurs for another weapon, and can crow
These holders are also stronger than the basic holder in terms of general strength, with certain animals giving them more of an edge, like the cat and the pig in terms of enhancements.
Stage 3:
Tumblr media
Next tier offers the Amalgamation unifications, which is technically a 5 kwami fusion, but also grants access to 4 kwami fusions too. This is the tier where the enhanced strength, speed, etc. carries over to their de-transformed selves. Even as civilians, they superhuman at this stage.
This is also when they gain more passive abilities but based on their concept rather than the animals. Examples of this include:
Taureau possessing an indomitable will (which, yes, would negate the peacock's control over him), fear immunity, and hope empowerment.
Bloody Bug able to create small, permanent charms and items like LB in canon with her warding charms, being a source of raw creative energy inspiring all around her, and utilize creation based attacks.
Stage 4:
Tumblr media
Stage 4 is considered the highest by the Order of the Guardians (though they be wrong) and used only for Guardians themselves and Enforcers. Wang Fu would be a Guardian while Su-Han is an Enforcer. This stage again makes them strong both transformed and civilian. It's also the stage where a holder truly starts becoming one with their kwami, getting incredible powers. It is also when a holder can use their powers without limited uses.
The first of these is Primal forms. This can be done with any kwami, but is taking on the holder unless done with a kwami they are close to. So, for Wang Fu, transforming into a Fox Primal was taxing on him opposed to if he used Wayzz instead.
This also provides special benefits to the holder if they possess a deep bond with the kwami. Like Wang Fu and Wayzz, which grants Wang Fu long life and makes him resistant to attacks.
Stage 5:
Tumblr media
One of the lost stages recently rediscovered by the holder known as Mayura. This tier is unknown to the benefits it offers save for this one fact:
This is one of the final steps to becoming fully-attuned to the kwamis and a step towards the final step of godhood.

So, I know you have an AtLa au for Miraculous Ladybug, but do you have the reverse? Like.
(THIS GOT LONG SO)
Aang is Ladybug. Zuko is Chat Noir. Ozai is Hawk Moth. Azula is Mayura. That kind of thing. cause my brain wouldn’t stop spinning this idea around last night, so like. All the random shit I came up with:
- Gyatso, who here is actually an old member of the Order that dipped out cause the Order kind of sucked, actually. He found and adopted Aang. Owns his own bakery. Also does martial arts. Is less than thrilled that his kid was chosen to be the Ladybug.
- half-baked idea that Gyatso replaces Fu here? But like. Still raising Aang. Also, he’s a touch less paranoid? Maybe?
- or, we have that random monk who was supposed to help Aang master the Avatar State be Fu? Or Roku, Roku could be Fu.
- Toph kind of has Corner!Chloé’s Aura Vision. She gets the Turtle.
- Toph’s dad is the mayor. Her mom runs a charity.
- Sokka gets the Fox. The flute doubles as both a boomerang and a sword.
- so like. By process of elimination, Katara SHOULD get the Bee? But. I know I said “Azula as Mayura” but instead, I think Azula should have the Bee & Katara should get the Peacock. Like. Either there’s a swap at some point, or the Bee got lost instead of the Peacock. Bee lost instead is probably easiest.
- You could also do Sokka as the Ladybug, Aang as the Fox.
- Or Aang has the Cat, Zuko the Ladybug. So many options.
- Suki with the Tiger? The Dragon?
- Sokka with the Dragon?
- ZUKO WITH THE DRAGON.
- Zuko with the Dragon. Sokka has the Ladybug. Katara has the Cat. Aang has the Fox. Toph has the Turtle. Suki has the Bee?
- Ty Lee and Mai are here, what Miraculous do they get?
- wait, Yue wouldn’t be dead, she’s here too. The Rabbit?
- Or Teo, the Kid with the flying wheelchair.
- the match-ups are too many.
- … in so many ways, actually.
- no one is straight.
- Zuko absolutely still has the big, F-off scar. It was absolutely inflicted by Ozai.
- Piandao as the school’s teacher, also coach of the local fencing/sword-fighting club.
- Pakku’s the principal.
- Bumi’s the gym teacher.
- Hakoda, Kya, and Bato live together on a boat in the Seine. Katara and Sokka have grown up on the water. I see boat tours, or maybe their job is to clean the river? Fishing? (Can you fish in the Seine?)
- Katara wants to be a doctor. Or therapist? No, Doctor.
- Sokka will probably be an engineer? Inventor isn’t a profession, is it? He’s also the DM anytime they do a D&D campaign.
- Iroh has a roving tea & pastry cart. He’s well known for giving out delicious tea, and sage advice. He has an ongoing rivalry with that annoying ice cream man, who Iroh is CONVINCED hasn’t ever heard of a health inspection, and who he constantly gets into fights with about his supposed “soulmate ice cream”.
- Azulon knew about the Miraculous, spent most of his life hunting for them. Imparted the knowledge and desire into his kids.
- Iroh and Ozai spent a lot of time when they were young adults looking for the Miraculous, but eventually Iroh met someone, fell in love, and had Lu Ten, so stopped caring as much for the Miraculous. When a car accident killed his wife, and crippled his son, Ozai tried to dangle the possibility of bringing Iroh’s wife back, or healing Lu Ten, to get him to help again, and Iroh shot him down. The pair are now quite tense with one another. (other idea, wife dies, so Iroh DOES agree to try and search for the Miraculous, but the resulting search ends with Lu Ten dying, so Iroh gives up the Miraculous entirely)
- (if we don’t go with option two, or sort of combine them) Lu Ten is still around here, he’s in a wheelchair from a car accident. He can TECHNICALLY walk, but it causes him so much pain if he tries for long periods, the wheelchair is easier.
- this is definitely a Team Miraculous Sort of vibe.
- Azula has a heel-turn, obviously.
then, I can’t decide between:
- Ursa and Ozai are divorced, which was a HUGE scandal for Ozai’s company. Ursa took Zuko, and tried her best to get Azula too, but Ozai “Won” that one, so Zuko and Azula don’t see each other much. Ursa and Zuko live with Iroh, who supported them during the divorce. Ursa has since remarried, and had another child, Zuko and Azula’s half-sister.
OR
- Ursa is dead, it’s a tossup whether Ozai killed her or not, but he wants to revive her, so is seeking out the Miraculous. Azula eventually either gets told, or figures it out, but Zuko doesn’t. Ozai’s desire to revive Ursa is less “I miss my wife” and more “How dare you try and get away from me”/Show of power. He’s used the Butterfly for years to make his company blossom, but he wants more power.
OR
- Ursa is either dead or missing, and Zuko lives with Iroh rather than Ozai. Iroh filed for custody after the Scar Incident, but while he managed to get custody of Zuko, he couldn’t get custody of Azula.
Thoughts, feelings, Opinions? New Ideas?
-
Okay okay okay:
Love the idea of Gyatso taking Fu’s role. I think he wouldn’t choose Aang at first but Aang would get involved later.
Sokka as Ladybug is 100% perfect and beautiful.
Zuko I feel comfortable narrowing down to the Cat or Dragon. I think it kiiiiinda depends on where his mindset is at but we’ll come back to that because I did have Thoughts™ on a S1/2: Atla Edition before so I have ideas on the family.
obvs Ozai has to be Hawkmoth but I think his motives are more pure wanting more power. Maybe add in like. Instead of ruler of a nation he’s just head of a company. The family business he ‘inherited’. Except he’s running it into the ground because he fucking sucks at making good business decisions. I’ll come back to my thoughts on Ursa later.
Toph as the turtle seems like a decent idea, but idk if it fits her right. I think the Ox would be better for her.
Aang with the Turtle though! Both in reference to the Lion Turtle but also how he’s very protective?
Katara has to get involved…. hm. I’m not sure there’s a Miraculous that would fit her. I think having a sibling LB/CN duo could work if I don’t give Zuko the cat. On the flipside the Dragon could ironically work as the ML Dragon is more Water than Fire.
Suki, on the other hand, has so many options. The Tiger if Toph doesn’t get it. I could see her with the Snake (she’s a leader and good strategist in her own right, so she’d do well with it.). Tempted to leave the Peacock on the Heroes’ team and give it to her because ya know fans but idk how she’d handle the Sentis.
Yue 100% gets the Rabbit. Both have Moon Connections™
Azula - I get where you’re going with Bee and that works but she’s also on board for the Dragon. Or the Monkey because she knows the art of Derision.
Ty Lee - BEE. Hands down she gets the Bee. Paralysis motherfucker!!!
Mai - I actually think I’d give her the mouse? Like, her hair. Quiet as a mouse. She’s the one person on this crew with multiple tiny weapons.
I’m bringing Jin back in and giving her the Pig!!
I love how we’re letting most people live lmao. But yeah without a war or spirit nonsense our only options are like. Gang violence? But yeah anyway
Gyatso is being low-key. Idk how exactly he got Aang. Like Aang probably has less trauma in that I’m not gonna be like ‘ah yes he was in an orphanage that was victim to arson’ but like. Does he have parents that he lost and were presumably friends with Gyatso to leave Aang in his custody, or did Gyatso just find an abandoned baby on the doorstep?
Aang could actually have the Adrien plot of wanting to go to school! Like, he was homeschooled by Gyatso for most of his life because while Gyatso isn’t /as/ paranoid as Fu, he’s still a touch ‘let’s err on the side of caution’. But Aang decides he wants to socialize more and school is a great place for that!
I think most of the various leaders are going to be part of the City Council. The Earth King is the City Mayor, and yeah he’s being manipulated by half the council. Long Feng is chief of police ofc. While I have Ozai as owning some mega company rather than directly in politics, he does fund the city to get what he wants and has Mai’s father on city council to essentially be his proxy as he can’t be bothered. Tbh probably the only sane and good council members are Hakoda and Arnook like bruh. The other good but not sane one is Bumi and no one’s sure he’s actually on the council he just shows up to meetings and the mayor counts his vote.
the Kya/Hakoda/Bato polycule? Beautiful. And yes they get the houseboat lmao. You mentioned cleaning the river so I think I’m gonna give Hakoda a bit of a lean into trying to make environmental changes to the city.
Toph’s parents are still rich af. And yes they still both baby her and want her to be this demure debutante when she’s here to throw hands with anyone and everyone. Does trade Earthbending for Magic Synesthesia
Okay now the Fire Royals because let’s have fun with them:
Search for the Miraculous probs started with Sozin. Passed the torch and the company to Azulon.
No idea why Ozai and Ursa married but it probably wasn’t a good reason.
Switching up the stuff with Lu Ten so he’s alive. But he’s in a coma and the doctors know that even if he does recover he’s not going to go 100% back to normal. (he wakes up after a few months. And while physical therapy goes well, he’s mostly in a wheelchair. Can use a cane for short distances if needed.). But yeah while it’s unsure if he’s gonna make it Iroh’s a wreck.
Which leads to a similar to canon thing of Ozai going ‘hey how about I inherit the company instead?’ and then having Ursa kill Azulon. Still similar in part of the deal is her leaving and Ozai tries to have her killed but she disappears too well.
With Ozai getting all the inheritence, Iroh just low-key cuts all losses in the family and  opens his own tea shop. Technically he could retire and live a grand lifestyle, but he likes doing things. So Jasmine Dragon it is!
You know that post like ‘you correct your dad on his zoom meeting so he kicks you out and says you can only come home if you find Bigfoot’? That’s kinda what goes down for the Agni Kai situation. Zuko gets burned and Ozai throws him out.
Zuko goes to Iroh’s place because he has nowhere else to go. Due to this being  a modern au thing there’s some of a custody battle deal. But like. Ozai  is a manipulative little shit who frames it as ‘oh I didn’t kick him out, he ran away! such a bad kid. If he wants to live with an uncle that coddles him then fine!’.
I’m gonna shift from canon slightly in the sense of that Zuko and Azula never cut contact. It’s easier because they’re still in the same city, in the same school, and have technology. Ofc Ozai forbids it, but while Azula is scared of him the differences in the AU mean that she’s not fully cut off from them regardless of anyone’s wants. (this gets even easier with the Miraculous when they can hang out as Heroes together)
Neither Zuko nor Azula know about the Miraculous stuff in the family history. Because Ozai either doesn’t think they’ll be helpful, or doesn’t want to risk them double crossing him. He does use Azula to set up secnarios for Akumas tho
I don’t know why Iroh wouldn’t go ‘oh a butterfly villain? Probably Ozai being a fucker’.

uhh question, what are the triplets powers in the IAU AU? Also have the triplets ever seen Four split into Green, Red, Blue, and Vio?
I’m still ever-so-slightly working on the triplets’ powers, but I’m really only uncertain about one thing, so here’s the rundown:
Sage (he’s the green one!) has electricity/lightning powers. He can shoot bolts out of his hands, and is largely shock-proof.
Crimson (he’s the red one!) has what’s essentially a super-powerful punch. If you’ve ever seen miraculous ladybug it’s kind of like what the tiger miraculous does (there’s some actual like marvel hero or something who has a power like that too it I forget who it is). As he gets older he can control the strength of it a bit better.
Azure (he’s the blue one!) is the one I’m a little unsure of still. His one power is definitely prophetic dreams/visions (a nod to sksw Link’s dreams), but I was thinking of also giving him another one. Something like Nayru’s love maybe, where he also has a shield, but I don’t know if that’s too much like Hyrule or not. So definitely dreams/vision, possible a shield or something else.
And yep, they have seen Four split, but not too many times. Just enough to think they’re super duper cool.

Hey, i love your art and aus 💕!
So, sorry if this is a dumb question, but there is a reason why the blasphemous kwamis dont follow the rule of the double letter? (Ex: tiKKi, plaGG, xuPPu, triXX, poLLen, etc)
Sorry for my bad english, but that detail really got me curious tho
its an indicator of whether or not they might've been previously selected for a miraculous (you'll one or two blasphemous with doubles in their names, that's because the sage liked them on some level or was initially planning on letting them have a corporeal state before something fell through) or,
I simply did not want to add an extra letter

Miraculous Viet Nam: The final sage warrior
Miraculous Ladybug Movie Idea:
[Open draft - head-canon in Scarabee and Kitty Claw universe]
There'll be Vietnamese to spice things up. I'm giving Kim some Vietnamese dialogue since his origin is there, so it's a win-win
There's a reason why I use this Au since Ox!Kim has it very far similarity to water buffalo. Viet Nam have water buffalo as it symbolized (not confirmed yet) but I think Ox may go well with the Akuma here.
The main perspective that will surround this (vital role character) is:
Alix/Scarabee
Chloe/Kitty Claww
Marinette/Draconia
Fei/Ladydragon
Kim/Nha vua Bullock
Kagami/ Muse Musami
Special mentioned: Alim, Jalil/Lapin du Temps, Luka/ Adrien and Nathaniel/ Marc.
The mentioned miraculous: 12 animal zodiac sign.
rat ox
tiger
rabbit = cat*
dragon
snake
horse
goat
monkey
rooster
dog
pig
(*) (Vietnam uses familiar animals in their daily life so cat is the symbolized animal replacing rabbit)
Part 1: The Journey.
This takes place in the middle of 1 year after Miraculous World ShangHai, read the my post movie script for the extra epilogue.
Kim wanting to visit his 1'st father's family bloodline/root. That when his 2'nd father offers a trip return to Vietnam (headcanoning that his second dad is a rich, bulky Parisian). Mr. Ature offered some friends of him going on a trip as he chose Marinette, Marinette asked Kagami.
For some specific reasons, Tomoe agreed on letting Kagami go there WITH her.
Three of them went to Viet Nam alone as they politely inform Scarabee as their heroes ego (separately) and following similar events like the event of ShangHai, they all received an alarms doll that activated due to Akuma attacks.
Nathaniel, Marc, Adrien and Luka are the middle team, they will assist when Scarabee calls out, since Alix and Chloe are ALSO going to Viet Nam but different cities. Nathaniel and Marc will control the Paris team when they left.
[It's divided like this.
-Nathaniel, Marc, Adrien, Luka will be at Paris.
+Adrien/ Stallion Star learn a new upgrade as he can open a portal connecting two destinations into one. That means he can help Scarabee/ Kitty Claw go to the other heroes destination without Stallion appearance. "Vortext"
+Marcel Gibbon later on learns about Sun Wukong Legends as he is able to not only make uproar but also acquires the 72 Earthly Transformations
[Explain shortly about the 72 Earthly Transformations: Basically a transformation that can turn him into another human, animal or object. It's a special concept of a kwami.]
+Nathaniel will be able to upgrade his fox power and turn into a 9-tails fox which granted him the ability to mind control/hypnosis and dream control.
+Luka also unlocked new rooster power. Not by giving himself sub-power but also giving the clucking sound...well, it seems a worst name to be called but when he used that ability, it's eliminated the hypnosis effect, sleeping effect in all conditions without exceptional.]
The France's protection team are out of the way, now to the others journey heroes.
[ Heroes --> Destination.
Alix/ Chloe --> Ha Noi, Viet Nam. They went for a visit of ancient architectural display. In which they found out it something related to the connection between VietNam and China and the magical systems.
Kim/ Marinette/ Kagami --> Ho Chi Minh City --> Tay Ninh]
"So, anyone wanted some sugarcane juice?"
Kim asked as he pointed at the mini stalled where a young lady was crushing down some sugarcane, the groups looked awestruck at the city scenery as well as the friendly atmosphere.
"Wait, what are the currency do they use here?"
Marinette asked, she was about to pull out some euro as she realized the money here looked different. Kagami observing the girl as she stated.
"As far as I know is Dong, 1 euro equals to approximately 25,000 to 26,000 (thousand) Dong. My mother already gave me some of the cash while we transferred here."
"Woah there, some knowledge before we settle down here eh? Why don't we shake things up a bit? Chú ơi, cho con chén hột vịt lộn"
[Translated: Mister! Can I have a bowl of Baluts?"
And, the girls were traumatized by the bowl of cooked duck embryo. Kim delightfully swallowed down them deliciously while they refused to eat them.
"Come on, we've to travel two hours more to visit my nephew."
"Your have nephew?!"
Marinette, Kagami unison asked.
On the North of the S-shaping country, at the city with its well known nickname "the Mistress Parasian of the east" - "Tiểu Paris Phương Đông", Alix and Chloe was having a date holding their hands and participated in a new historical architecture museum.
What shocked the two girls is that 4/5 of the section all contain symbols of the Kwamis, as well as the potraits showing an emblem of the Renlings "King". Alix quickly messaged to Marinette, who contacted Fei immediately.
"What are you doing Buggy girl?"
"The symbol Goldie, don't it ring the bell?"
She noticed it resembled the former miraculous box, as she hugged Alix tightly.
"That's right cuddly bear!! Should we inform the adults ?"
"Not yet, Jalil may notice it too, since he kept giving me side eyes on random moments. For now let's contact both Marinette and Fei."
The message quickly arrives to the girls, Fei asked for permission from Wang as she rushed to the baker girl's location instead.
Before her arrivals, the group already settled down at an urban area of Tay Ninh where there isn't much different from Ho Chi Minh city
[My fan-non things for Kim is that his first father married his mother, who has her first name is Lê and that his 1st father followed the family name bloodline. Until they got divorced, his 1st father stayed with his 2nd father Ature and that's where he got separated by his mother.
He lives with two of his fathers.]
There's a reason for Mr.Ature willing to give Kim and Mr. Lê a visit to their home town.
Before the divorce happened, Kim used to live with nephews that his relatives sent to "shaping them up".
What he remembered is they have a stubborn, reckless, cocky and arrogant personality and a girlish version of himself, yet they are a " boy".
Soon, Marinette found a local guide as they were transferred to a suburban area. Which something unnerve Kagami sensation.
"Something isn't right Marinette."
"What's wrong Kagami?"
As they soon going to their final destination, Kim mentioned a key word, revealing the local guild Identity.
"Mùi hoa sen có vẻ đẹp dịu kì."
"Lotus have it's own beauty."
That snapped the guild, who been reveal to be Kim's nephews
"Kim?"
"Anh?"
"..Oh?!"
"OH!?!!...!"
To explained the situation out, shortly, the boy introduced. His name was Lê Quang Anh, and he's a distance relatived to Kim. He's older than them by 2 years but still shorter than them.
Shockingly, Kim former home still as new as before yet Anh doesn't live there, what is more astonished them is Tomoe there, having a friendly engagement between Kim's ex-mother and Kagami's mother.
Friendly Note: Anh hated both side of her family, hated her own bloodline, her true parent was the real reason why Anh move to live with Kim since they wanted a perfect BOY. Living with Kim's mother is under more pressure then ever so he skipped school, become reckless, and left the home when Kim move to France.
Anh appearance: 4'9, always wearing a cap/ non la to cover his hair, wearing a plain old shirt and short.
The moment Kagami felt sympathy for her, they both became loathe, as for the reason of engagement is for Kagami and Anh to become married in the future, which Marintte denied, Kagami disagreed, Anh wanted to vomited. Kim confused at the situation as both of his fathers began to argue with Ms. Lê about the teenage married and Law.
Marinette comforts the girl, while Anh hides away and sneaks out.
BACK AT HA NOI
When they are at the ceremony which was held by one of the famous 1 out of 100 the Lê dynasty. This one is one of the kind, while they giving a speech with Gabriel Agreste, who Alix suprising that he's here.
Jalil question the girls, they being suspicious about this whole issues as their kwagamata shines one more when going to the broken pieces of an ancient Fountain.
However instead of transforming, if the hero plushy being ringed up and call out, stellaBee and VisionClaw will fly to the south of the country.
RETURN TO TAY NINH
The group soon noticed the lack presence of Anh as realized he been hide out, Fei also land on her destination as find Marinette (Which she still in her Bird form), Kim suggested go into the main village since it crowded with people there.
They arrived at the local village as Fei getting Deja Vu, seeing a small figure slippingly stealing people stuff, Kim called out the unfamiliar boy yet Fei hesitated at the figure, soon they find out the it was Anh who diguise as a child, however what he's doing is use fire agaisnt fire.
A lady appoarch the nearby police station asked for a purse as Anh give out to her, which the group remember that he been stealing it from a sketchy man.
"Gosh, I must misunderstand you."
"Sorry about the confront earlier."
"My apologies on the carelessness of my word."
" Don't mind about it. Return back at the mansion, r-i-g-h-t n-o-w!!"
Fei stayed silent, observing the boy figure movement, she noticed the lack of deep vocal and fluency in his sentences, the renlings that surround her realm also sensing a new Prodigus roaming around her.
Before Kim could ask Anh to return, the boy bolted away in a flash, making them awestruck at the high speed, which Kagami noticed something wrong with his human physical. Fei dashes after the boy figure as she's the only person that can catch up on her.
Following the trace, she found herself deep into the suburban area, where no human presence can be sight, but a massive, wide shrine (?) / orphanage can be seen.
[MỘNG TRỤ CỘT/ THIÊN SỨ KẾT]
[DREAM PILLARS/ ANGELIC KIN]
Anh swiftly opened the gate and went into the place as Fei also went in there, soon Mei Shi fly out, causing Fei to caught off guard while Anh also noticed their presence.
"WHO'S THERE!?"
He tried to land a kick but got stopped by Fei, she recognized the martial art style and question, only for Anh to mockingly say.
"What're you gonna say about it kung-fu prodigy? What? "Your kick is so slow and weak I barely don't even need to fight a person like you" or trying to point out my mistake. Beat it and go away FEI"
Anh using his mocking tone to make Fei leave, but she didn't. The group was still finding them as Fei know Anh have something hidden in this strange, abandonded place, she immediately point out to get him surrounded.
"You aren't a boy are you?"
Anh stayed silent, staring the hell out of the girl soul as he hissed out.
"Now I understand what's your name really mean Fei Wu. It's mean garbage (废物) not fly ( 飛). Don't even mentioned those word infront of me."
Fei bewildered by his statement but stayed calm, Mei Shi been hold back inside her pocket as it wanted to say something. She percieve to spotted beneath Anh's shirt glowing some sort of light as it about to burst out.
Kagami slammed the door open, revealing themselves as the light disappear, to much Fei disappointed since she already into fighting stance.
"So cool, you own this place Anh!!?"
Kim amazed by the shrine Anh live in, which were wide enough for a large clan to live in, it divided to 4 section/ area. A main building for the owner to sleep, eat or done their routine; a spacious backyard with herbal plants, trees and flowers; a enormous resident that have beds for guests (?) from small to big and place to do daily Personal hygiene; and finally a front yard with a Ying- Yang circle being draw on the ground.
Kim and Marinette like this place due to it peacefulness, Kagami like it due to the inner energy that surrounded while Fei doesn't care about the backgrounded of the place as she stared the boy figure who smashing some herbal plans, thinking about the light earlier.
Some drama, tea conversation, exposing Anh bad personalities as he've been doing bad things with good purposed for people in his area, since robbery and starvation still happend due to goverment low policy and jobs so alot of victim having a bad goal to be active.
Most of the times, he'd just give a short-term answer and turn silent, not extended any more details while mixing some herbal stuff. Kim worried about Anh's different attitude rather than the sweet and innocent one in the past
Hawky time! His goal to revive one of the statues (remember Feast? yeah this is something like that but different) that empowered a large amount of dark energy, in which remsemble a toad like thingy, not to mentioned, it amoktized thing is a venomous snake which turn citizen to minion.
HardenBee and ImmuneClaw appearance! (Immune to posion and thing similar to that) While swipping through the catastrophe in the north of Viet Nam to distract the heroes if they were there, what a surprised.
Hawkmoth began his plan as he able to manipulated one of the people related to the Orphanage where Anh live, Nguyễn Nhật Tông been force to work under Gabriel command as he been believed that the person who own the shrine should be him not some bratty kid that the couples take as their descentdant.
Tông came and confront Anh, to the boy surpised at the offer from the man that he wanted to buy the place. In the end he denided.
More reveals about the former of the shrine/Orphanage which is the couple that Fei met, Trung and Thu. They adopted and raised hundreds of children and pass down the legacy place to Anh with some secret that they taught him
Tông force her into contract since kid can't do anything but Fei and the group protect him. Anh accused as he turning 18 next week and having a high connected to the couple contract.
Before the man attack him with a knife, a shiny light burst to the room, a large, black tiger with white stripe roaring at the man. Fei look awestruck with Marinette as they knew what make that happend. Kagami and Kim pulled them to hide as Marinette and Fei hide away to turn into Draconia and Ladydragon.
Unfortunate for the tiger, after 10 minutes of struggling with Tong, it been return to Anh as the man threw him like a shack, slamming into the wall.
Draconia parry the attack as LadyDragon launched Tông out of the place.
Kim waited for the girls return as Kagami called out for the two main heroine. But HardenBee and ImmuneClaw was too busy fighting the chaos with Lapin in Ha Noi so Hawk Moth become more wild in his move.
He akumatized Tông into "Kẻ được chọn" / The chosen one
His ability is absolute wild as he violently gone crazy, destroyed the three main cities, Hà Nội, Đà Nãng and thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. The moment Anh regain himself and revealing the Vietnamese prodigious, Fei/ Ladydragon surprised before the boy getting brutual pin, thrust by a powerful energy as fling across buildings, coughing out blood.
"TCO" then entangled the two dragons heroine and smash them on the ground, a strange energy outburst, dragging the villains attentions as they got carried away.
[The Vietnamese Prodigious: 4 main symbolized resemble North, East, West, South - Phoneix, Unicorn (not the horse with horn one), Turtle/tortoise and another DRAGON! Another specialty that can sense other Prodigious and turn into the 12 zodiac sighed]
That affected the mission of HardenBee and ImmuneClaw so they called out the Parisain team to assist. That's where Stallion, Vlad, Gibbion and Arman gone and dealt with the statue.
Back at the team spotted, since it was an emergency as Ladydragon and Draconia were being outpowered by the deity like villain. His attack can destroy the whole cycle of life and restore it. It's like a god itself but in an outrageous stat that cannot be stop, while to focus on dealing with Nhà vua bullock, Mamushi, Scarabee and Kitty Claw.
Fei and Marinette return to their normal state, find out each other identity but went and find the boy first. Anh was in a terrible health condition as his cap burn down, revealing a long sily hair fell down.
"You're a girl"
Fei said while Marinette are out of her mind as the girl groaned, but further more, she then turn into a black horse as dashed away in that dreadful state. Fei hurry chased her with her horse form as Marinette retrasnform into Draconia and used lightning to catch up on them.
The shrine now being torn down by the attack, Anh become depressed at the issues as having her traumatized past haunting her.
That included Abuse, Sexism, stress and family isues.
Shortcut Lê Quang Anh past: Sexism. Her parents want a boy not a girl, they give birth to a child which they didn't know it gender. To much disappointed that it's a girl, they all wishes they not give birth to her, her mother only see her as a boy, wanting her to be aboy so they send her to the Kim's family, brought her to the south for study session and more.
Anh always skip school, hide away from the resident to visited the Pagoda, which Trung and Thu taught her many advance things. Soon they realized Anh have asthma, depression, stress and OCD which she cannot kept her mental stable when doing yoga, easily lots focus.
When they pass down the Prodigious and reveals "The Hallowed Spirit Domain" as explainning about the world hidden magical system. Kwami, Renlings, God, Deity and the miraculous, Anh become desperated to wield perfectly her country Prodigious power, in which failling to kept her transform more then 10 minutes and unable to become the 4 Legends Warrior.
In the terrible health from, she return tiredly return to "The Hallowed Spirit Domain" in which cried out to her master, telling them that she failed the mission.
"I fail..Why do I even live until now if I cannot become what people wanted? If all life form are equals, why can't I be like Ladydragon"
[Anh have a crush on Ladydragon which she didn't know the hero that she like is the person that she hated]
The Domain similar to an underground cave, a small path lead to the center with statue that hold the neclace, the two side were covered in water with Lotus floating around it. Anh laid down, fatigue as looking beaten up, wished that everything was end in here.
It's hard for her to face something that live in the past, she wanted to live in the modern day, without any old fashioned thought eliminated life-form and approved the existence of every human beings.
She been treated poorly before meeting her master and never have she felt love before.
"Anh!"
A voice echoed through the domain, Anh groaned again, remember she forgot to close the door into this place, Fei was able to go in but Draconia wasn't.
"What you want? Laugh at my face for being a poor Prodigious user not like the superior LadyDragon out there? I'm ready for you to throw me down on the lake, I've nothing left"
"No you aren't, you coming with me...did you just praise Ladydragon?"
"Well now she knew the Vietnamese "good" Prodigious is a failure girl that been disguise as a boy for her entire life and now being exposed to you, I'm surprised that you were able to guess my gender in the first meeting."
Fei doesn't say anything as she walks up, sits next to the Anh who defeated on the ground. The girl's hair was wet with sweat and blood.
"I know that our interaction for the first time isn't surely the best due to your arrogantness and cocky attitude, but my prodigious said that you're a pure soul that has just been...broken, just like me before."
"haha nice try....wait, your prodigious?"
Fei moved her hand to remove the strain hair on the girl's face, who blushed and confusing at the same time.
"Now we know each other's identity, it's a draw now. By the way, not that I realized your vocal isn't as deep as a 18 years old teenager, i see you wearing female underwear while changing."
"Pervert"
"Thief"
They became quiet, Anh doesn't know how to react when her hero crush was the person she treated poorly before, not until the moonlight begin to shine through a crack, into the domain, a spark appear, burst into the room causing the two gasp in awe. Not until it fly out of the room in a sonic move, Anh and Fei both heal their body miraculously.
Outside, “TCO” was overpowered the heroes due to Hawkmoth achieving a secret power techniques, however, before he could victoriously knock out, a white light join into the battle, knocking out the villain just in a blink of an eye, everyone felt a massive scary pressure that triggering their soul.
Scarabee and Kitty Claw miraculous flash quickly, just like something absorbing all of their energy.
The others aren’t immune to it as immediately de-transform, but able to hide away quickly to keep their identity hidden, Kim having the Ox’s miraculous able to withstand for 10 minutes before seeing a white spritual creature floating down.
It’s appearance look uncanny, having three straight black eyes, emotionless, traumatized anyone soul if they have a weak mental state. It brutal attack knocking out the villain as the butterfly fly out, but soon shattered down.
Before could do anything else, KC grabbed SC as they soon both destransform.
Tikki and Plagg looking weak, as if something pressuring them.
The white spirit then ask Kim to take it to the Domain.
Reunited! Fei and Anh also sense an intense surge.
Null scanning those two, before snapping it paw, transferring Kim outside.
Anh wanted to cried out, seeing a force that she have never sense before, all the lotus in the domain are withering away, Fei put her hand infront of the girl, trying to protected her. Mei Shi then come out, greeted.
“If something is end, it’ll only just the beginning. Life consist both Live and Death, anything that is Zero will be all real, nothing is finished and it will be reborn once again. Nice to meet the god itself, Null”
The spirit doesn’t react but suddenly blurbs, it’s power was enough to crack the wall predictably but also magically revive all the lotus, as it zoom through the three and touching it paw to the ancient shrub, a magnificent aura covers all the earth in a flash. Null, the spirit through Mei Shi words now became mix, it’s mood swing to another different one.
“WOah! So this is what “EARTH!” is, such an amazing knowledge filled place to study!! WAit I Already know everything! BORING!”
The spirit now is in Dark Red, Shining Gold and glittery silver a weird mixture of color as Anh was fully clinging onto Fei back with a heart attack. The shape// of the animal also embody some sort of identical things, similar to Mei SHi
“If this is my punishment for being poorly treated on you, I’m sorry, i’m a terrible person.”
“Quick it Anh, we know that it isn’t 100% your fault until returning to that topic. Mei Shi, explain please?”
Fei reassured the girl safe as looking at the strange, reckless spirit flew around the domain.
“Since we don’t have any grimoire here, let me explain quickly with human modern stuff. The universe extended in a rapid way that living entities like us cannot feel, each of the creations of the universe appears a Null, which it isn’t Tikki who made him, but the archverse is. Null like human USB, if it contacts any ancient magical artifacts, the energy will absorb and store into it core, like how the USB has its storage level, but Null it restricts to only an area that the energy limit, for example, this Null restricts inside the VietNam Domain and it only has the knowledge of history, life and anything only about VietNam.”
Fei dumbfounded at the explanation but Anh understands the whole context, “Null” giving her a praise as revealing that they also stored the memories of the two couples, who are the vigilante Prodigious Master.
Trung is a researcher on soul, spirit kind, that included Kwami, Prodigious and others essential being and also mastered the techniques to use, protect and control over their enhanced vitality.
Thu didn’t embody any of the power that Trung has, but she’s a herbalist and eminent artist who illustrates symbol of the archverse. She also good at martial art, sign languages and human antonamy study.
These two have a strong connection with all of the guardian temple, where the miracle box stored. However, “Null” state out that they wouldn’t be belonging to the human race anymore which shocked the two.
Some more “Null” explanation about it duty to help Anh as a tutor and about how she and Fei could become the Vigorous Dragon Duo, with a embarassed Anh and a Lesbian Fei, who couldn’t agree more to co-op with her.
Anh decided to name the creature a proper one since it embody Vietnam cultural core, XianXian (显现). As she and Fei solves the miscommunication, Fei ruffel Anh’s head in joy,, the heroes finally be able to get inside the cave, Kim worried the hell out of Anh, all of them seems to be in heavily injuried. Scarabee, the leader was the one who question.
“Romace, family reunion, or whatever not in the topic but aside. ANH, A FULL EXPLAINED.”
Anh felt a spine chilling wave, knewing that the ladybug hero is the leader of them all, she hestitately open her mouth. In the end, Meishi, XianXian and Fei the one who end up justify the problem to everyone.
Scarabee contact the group from the northern as they all seem to be fine, she disappointed that her date got corrupted by some random 18 years old kid and that BITCHYMOTH
“ I swear if I can lucky charm a gun, he’s DEAD”
As everyone checing up on each other, some of them admired the beauty of the domain, to which light from the night moon shine through the cracks and into the area.
Guess, what? Hawkmoth return with Tông, who’s now ready for round 2 of the battle, this time, Tông accused Anh’s murdered the family as also the reason why no one return to the Orphan, seeing their supervisors again. That’s a switch, turning Anh emotion down as it the only reason to traumatized her.
Anh got traumatized, remembering the last day she saw the couple, she was at the scene with blood all over her body, something that unpleasant for Anh to reminded with or ring a bell.
It’s like a bomb ticking as Anh felt stress up, KDC being reakumatized but this time with red version, that led to Scarabee realizing that Catalys is also here.
“Everyone careful, this isn’t a normal battle like before!!!”
All the hero on action to fight KDC, yet forgetting to pay attention to Anh who have a panic attack, a velvet butterfly ending up entered Anh necklace as Hawkmoth finally be able to took over the Vietnamese Prodigious.
Kitty Claw and Fei the only one who sight the issues as Fei begging Anh to fight back.
“Anh please! Listen to me and fight back at the villain. You won’t be alone again!!!”
A string of force violently pulling the girl sinking down to the lake of darkness, tangled in depression and lost. That the main reason why Anh never be able to use the 4 Legends, she been blaming herself everything and never get the right recognition.
Kitty Claw tell Scarabee who dealing with KDC now return the focused on the two Prodigious, shocked. Using the last resort, Fei kiss Anh in order to dragged the girl soul out of the darkness.
It’s actually work, XianXian landing on Anh’s head, comment calmly.
“Although the two Mastered aren’t here, but I could be seen as their reincarnated. I’d be proud to see the developement that you made through years Anh. My existence to this place is upon your wishes of gainning your true self. Even if no one is looking at you the way you wanted, there’s a person that will always accepted who you are. That’s yourself”
Fei release the kiss, who now with a calmer Anh, the butterfly mask still on with Hawkmoth trying his best to break through the soul,  a small flash went through Anh’s eyes as spark of hope fire up once again. Scarabee use her lucky charm and got a handcuff, for some reason it not the exact things she wanted, but the moment she throw to BitchyMoth, his arm got wrap in and lock with an upper pole, Kitty Claw jump and trying to use her Tornado Cataclysm but fail as KDC slammed her back to the wall, much to Scarabee mental pain.
Anh not only breaking free from the akuma but also evolve the Prodigious as changing the theme. The old Tortoise turn into a giant mythical crane, and the Unicorn change into a lion cub (con nghê). Phoenix and Dragon still in the same way but having their symbolized change.
Unfortunaely, Anh lost her old concious as her fiercy spirit taking control over her body, turning into a mighty black and white dragon, she overpowered KDC easily but couldn’t take down it.
Switching between a wide variety of black and white 12 zodiac signs, Anh’s only able to keep down the damage as Fei assisting her as Ladydragon.
The akuma soon been defeated, they gang up on Hawkmoth as he then summoned a surprised Senti monster (he hidden the feather inside his staff)
Anh still passed out as most of her action was automatic (fight by intuition and her six sense), when the feather entered her charm and created a powerful god-like figure, they soon wrecked the place and blasted BitchMoth back to France.
Yet, Scarabee need to find out how to destroyed the charm and calm the Yin-Yang dragon down. She summon another Lucky Charm which surprisingly make severals item. (bar of soap ,metal chain ,giant carpet)
“Everyone, attention!”
Scarabee then yell, grabbing all the occupied heroes and told them the plans while LadyDragon try to hold down Anh’s Dragon. As the France’s Hero team leader command, Draconia fly toward them as wind dragon and cloaking the raging one with melting soap, she then give LadyDragon the chain as both of them restrained her back.
Other assist the two leaders by holding back the Senti-God which wipe all of them away. In literally.
Kitty Claw then used a massive move destruction, sending a powerful wave of Cataclysm toward the Dragon’s group as it cracked the Amok charm, Fei necklace, Marinette choker.
Scarabee quickly cast the Miraculous bringing the heroes back. However she still keep the carpet as all of them spread it, the charm return Anh to normal as the girl fall down onto the carpet with the two Dragon quickly transform and help her.
@a-chlolix-blog This is gonna be two parts long, the storyline might be a bit cringe but would you mind leaving a judgment or comment?

Note
you know that one ask where in the double miraculous isekai AU. Main bad guy could be blending in RSA. And you said that’s a ca. of worms
😈
OPEN THAT CAN OF WORMS!!! UNLEASH IT!
*throws sparkly worms around* Woe! Worms be upon thy!
Imagine that it's a similar situation to how Orpheus and Yuuki were thrown in twst. Except that RSA is just more chill. They give our evil guy a nice dorm room, food, utilities, whatever is needed for a comfy living until ambrose finds a way back for them.
Still, with the privacy, our evil peep uses that to create akumas, which he sends out to NRC, because those guys sure af are traumatised. Except that the akuma is intercepted in the town by someone who's in a down mood. Being much closer, thus more easy to pick up, the akuma goes for it and thus there's a lot of chaos on sage island.
The can of worms is mostly that our evil peep is trying to send akumas to feast on NRC, but they fail and thus they strike in the sage island. Orpheus and Yuuki have to go and deal with the problem, not realising how insanely lucky they are. It becomes a tideous cycle for the 2 because unlike our evil guy who has time for studies and privacy, Yuuki and Orpheus are also given the handyman jobs, dealing with overBlots and also trying to find a way back themselves because goddamn it crow man goes on yet another vacation. U-Ub
So while Yuuki and Orpheus struggle for survival at NRC and catering to their hero job, the evil guy is growing a nice reputation at RSA and taking their sweet time into terrorising the people of sage island.
It goes a funny way when you have sometimes an RSA guy just overhearing/walking on sum evil scheme and just going 'oh, he's having fun! How nice!' and then... Go on with their day. :'3

Cyno stood in the center of the arena scanned the spectators and searched the crowd for Nari. However, that was a nearly impossible to do in the midst of a fight and the distance between the arena and the seats.
Cyno dodged a sword strike and then stabbed the ground at his opponent’s feet. When they jumped back to avoid his spear, Cyno swept the sand into this eyes. He used the distraction to leave the fight and continue his search. His eyes fell onto the empty throne where the Valuka Shuna was meant to sit. However, the podium was empty. He questioned why the Valuka Shuna would hold a tournament to find a fiancé but decided not to watch the fight.
An arrow passed his temple, so close that the wind hissed in his ear. He started to follow the arrow’s path to search for the archer and defend himself. A scream behind Cyno made him pause and he turned to see a man fall to the ground. Had the arrow been meant for the person behind him or did the archer miraculously struck the person after he missed? A second arrow answered him.
He quickly stepped to the side to evade the arrow. Cyno looked down at the ground where the arrow struck the chalk line marking the boundary of the battle royale. The man wearing a fox mask stepped in front of him with his bow string drawn taunt. While he couldn’t see his face, he carried himself with a regal and proud air.
“You were one step away from eliminating yourself because you were staring at an empty chair. Keep your focus here if you wish to marry the Valuka Shuna. You won’t win this tournament by fighting half-heartedly.” The man warned. He aimed his arrow at a warrior across the arena and struck his leg. Cyno concluded that the archer was talented and neither of his earlier arrows missed. The masked fox left him with the advice and ran back into the battle royale.
Cyno ran after him. Before the battle, the masked man had approached him and Cyno thought he was familiar. “What is your name?”
The man’s steps slowed but he didn’t stop. He looked back over his shoulder to Cyno but he didn’t give him his name. Instead, he said: “My title is Viridescent Vigil.”
Tumblr media
“Congratulation. As the ten warriors to advance onto the main tournament, the palace will provide you with lodging and food.” The sage said. “You may walk freely through the west wing and use the training grounds. However, you are forbidden to go beyond the places I’ve listed. This is for the royal family’s safety and we hope you understand. The tournament will start in a week so enjoy yourself for now. We have prepared a feast for winning the first round.”
After the battle royale ended and only ten warriors remained, they were escorted to the west wing of the palace where they will stay for the duration of the tournament. Cyno had hoped that he could sneak into the maze where he used to meet Tighnari. The chances of meeting him there after years was slim but he wanted to try.
He originally returned because he was worried that he was hurt or in danger. His concern heightened when the people he questioned claimed there wasn’t a fennec fox named Nari in the palace. He had countless questions to ask him. Beyond that, he needed to know that he was safe. Cyno often felt like an outsider in the rainforest but those feelings vanished when he was with Tighnari.
He walked past the array of food to find a place where he could rest alone. To win the tournament, it would’ve been better for him to eat with the other warriors and access their strength. His goal wasn’t to win the Valuka Shuna’s hand in marriage though. He decided to sit next to the window so he could enjoy the cool breeze at night.
Cyno discovered the masked fox was already sitting on the windowsill. His back was facing Cyno and his tail languidly swayed behind him. He had assumed that the man wore a costume for the tournament but the subtle movement of his tail and ears were more than a prop. As he approached, his tall ears twitched and then he turned around.
“I thought everyone would be enjoying the feast. Did you wish to sit here and admire the view of the rainforest? I’ll move.” Vigil closed the book that he was reading and swung his leg over the rail to leave. He could feel his gaze through the mask. “You’re injured. Naphis should’ve told you that you can seek treatment at Bimarstan. I’ll show you where it is.”
“These scraps are superficial at best so there’s no need to waste bandages and supplies.” He brushed aside his concern. With a light huff, the fox crossed his arms and jumped down from the window. Cyno could easily picture him rolling his eyes behind the mask. What colour would his eyes be? His ears reminded him of Tighnari’s and he imagined that he would also have unique turquoise-amber eyes.
The fox placed his hand on Cyno’s shoulders and lightly pushed him towards the window seat. He guided him to sit and ordered: “Stay here while I get a medical kit to treat your wounds. Don’t be stubborn and say they aren’t serious. Even small scraps can become a risk once they’re infected. I’ll only be gone for a few minutes.”
He left before Cyno could stop him. From how he spoke, he decided that it would be better to stay rather than leave. He could imagine the fox tracking him down and give him a lecture even as he treated his wounds. Cyno looked down at the book that he had forgotten in his rush. He recognized the title, A Thousand and One Jinn, because it was a collection of folktales from the desert. He didn’t expect someone from the rainforest to be interested in the topic.
“I’m back.” The fox’s voice pulled him out of his thoughts. The windowsill was large enough for two people and he sat next to Cyno. He balanced the basket of bandages on his knee and then held out his hand to him. “I’ll start with that cut on your arm. The herbs I used to create the salve have a numbing trait so this won’t sting like others. Tell me if it does hurt, though.”
“Why would you help your opponent? We might face each other in a fight tomorrow.” Despite his skepticism, he placed his hand in his open palm.
“That gives me more reason to do this.” He gently coated the scar on his arm with the salve. His fingers traced over the faded scars Cyno gained after he became General Mahamatra. He held him gentler than the other doctors who treated him, as if he were glass. “I studied botany and medicine in the Akademiya. When I graduated, I took a vow to help the earth and every living being on it.”
“Why would a doctor join this tournament to marry the Valuka Shuna? Someone like you would probably be happier working in a hospital or the rainforest.” Cyno slowly began to feel curious about the fox and his identity. “You asked me why I joined the tournament. Can I ask your reason?”
“This might offend the Valuka Shuna but I have no wish to marry him. I have something to prove and I can only accomplish that by fighting strong warriors. Therefore, I want you to properly treat your wounds after each battle.” He finished wrapping his wound and then sat back against the window frame. “If we’re interrogating each other now, General Mahamatra, I have a few more questions for you. What is the desert like? I’ve only read about it in my books.”
“I can imagine that it’s hard to travel through the desert with your fur. Perhaps, you can visit during the night when it’s cooler. You won’t be able to see much but the pyramid is close to the border.” Cyno stared at the horizon where they could see the pyramid. The fox sat beside him and their shoulders brushed together. At first, Cyno was too surprised to move away from him because he didn’t expect a stranger to act so comfortable with him.
He opened the book between them and pointed to an illustration of a goddess. “The first place I’ll visit would be this ocean of lotuses. Even if they aren’t enchanted by the goddess, the lotuses have unique traits that I can study. Father says he’ll have someone deliver lotuses to my lab but it’s not the same as picking them myself.”
They discussed the book and, with each turn of the page, Cyno relaxed into the moment. He was reminded of when he would read with Tighnari. “Can you read while wearing that mask? It must obscure your sight during fights as well, considering you’re an archer.”
“I don’t want to marry the Valuka Shuna and the notability that winning the tournament will give me would be troublesome. I plan to disappear and return to my normal life.” He explained. Cyno thought that wearing a mask was suspicious. On the other hand, he could sense that his words were truthful.
“You’re confident that you’ll be the victor.” Cyno had to admire his confident. After he watched him fight in the battle royale, the fox’s words were from more than haughtiness. If they faced each other in the finals, it would be ironic that neither wished to marry the Valuka Shuna. Cyno tapped his finger against the paper. “What did the librarian say to someone who checked out over a hundred books? Don’t overdue it.”
Instead of a laugh or chuckle that Cyno hoped for, he made a long sigh. He muttered beneath his breath, so quietly that he almost didn’t hear him, “Your puns haven’t improved in years.”
“What?” He turned sharply and his movements were so sudden that it startled the fox. His hold on the book slipped and they reached out to catch it at the same time. As Cyno grasped the book, he felt something soft brush against his cheek. He caught a glimpse of his real fox ears behind the mask. He wore a golden earring that Cyno knew all too well. “Can I see your face?”
“No.” He climbed off the window ledge. “I should go and rest for tomorrow’s match. Honestly, the joke you made was bad enough that I would forfeit the tournament just so I wouldn’t have to hear another one.”
Tumblr media
“I should’ve known that I would face the General Mahamatra in the finals. Your strength is highly praised.” Despite those words, Tighnari spoke confidently and nocked an arrow. They stood a few feet from each other and waited for the battle to begin. His eyes narrowed behind the mask as he watched Cyno. “Why did it have to be you?”
In the previous matches, Cyno would scan the crowd and he’ll only start to fight once his opponent attack him. Yet, his eyes were focused on the fox before him now. He dashed forward with his spear and he drew his bowstring back to counter his attack. Cyno didn’t attack him though. To his confusion, he stopped a few feet in front of him and stabbed his spear into the dirt.
He knelt onto one knee and held out his hand to him. “Why do bees have stick hair? Because they use honeycombs.”
“Pardon me?”
“Why did the cookie go to the doctor? It was feeling crumby.” Cyno listed countless jokes that caused a hush to fall over the crowd. He ignored the crowd around him and stared at the fox mask. He touched the hands gripped tightly around the bow and the fox’s stance slowly relaxed. “What happens when a flower blushes? It turns rosy.”
He couldn’t make sense of why Cyno would make jokes. His red eyes were resolute so he couldn’t bring himself fight him. When the guards entered the arena, he held up his hand signalled for them to stop. “What are you doing, Cyno? This is supposed to be a battle.”
“I don’t want to hurt you. However, you said my jokes were so bad that you would forfeit the tournament instead of listening to them. This is the only way I can win.” He squeezed his hand and lightly tugged him forward. He stumbled forward and fell into his body. Careful not to remove his mask, Cyno whispered into his ear. “I could never fight you, Nari. I only joined the tournament to find you.”

He's back my oc on ML, Elliot and Elly Wolfheart so to put it simply, they hold the wolf miraculous whose power is to create aura wolves, their bite revives the worst memories of their prey. He's in a au, more precisely in a fic I've been writing for a while. In it, he's Ladybug and Chat Noir's mentor, while Master Fu acts more as an old sage. The fic is in french and I could translate it into english, but sorry, I don't have the courage to translate 11 chapters.

Okay so haven't felt like writing more of the fairytale au yet. Because nobody's pushed for it. But this idea has been in my head a while and I haven't really done much with it so.... Here you go. This takes someplace in season 4, after penalteam but before Risk. Story after the cut.
------------
Marinette was trying to work on her designs. Trying being the operative word because the kwamis were all bunched around the computer ahhing and giggling at something Bark had discovered. Why the dog kwami was the most interested in technology the new guardian couldn't figure out but it sure did irk her at times. Looking over after the latest bout of chatter Marinette gave her designs up as a lost cause and went to see what they were all so entranced by. Seeing Tikki there as well gave her pause, her own kwami had been outside the Miracle box long enough for most things to have become common. What could she possibly be so interested in? "What are you all up too?"
"Reading." Came the unanimous answer. It was strange how synchronised they could be some times despite having vastly different personalities. She supposed that's what happened when you spent millenia together.
Glancing at the monitor Marinette saw that they were, in fact, reading. They'd come across one of the many fanfiction sites on the web and appeared to have found one of the few that had been made since her and Chat Noir faced StoneHeart. There weren't too many, the entire world had super heroes after all, and even those that did exist never got much traction outside France for the same reason. Taking a quick look at the word count she found herself surprised once again. It was over 200k and appeared to be just one work in a series with multiple chapters finished. "What's it about?" She asked taking a seat. She was extremely curious now.
"Us." Came the response in unison again. But Barrk was quick to follow up. "It's about you holders and all the drama you face." Clearly the excitement of the akuma's isn't what had the puppy's attention.
"But it also has what happens at your school too!" Daizzy spoke up with a light squee. The little pig loved nothing more than hearing tales about normal human life. "It's a different class to yours though." She went on sounding a little upset.
Marinette glanced at the title of the story. "Normal life in Paris huh? That sounds familiar." She gave a smile as she continued reading the summary.
'Note. All personal details and descriptions have been changed to protect the identity of those who have been akumatised and those related to the victims of HawkMoth.' Well that was nice of them at least. But hang on... Wouldn't that mean...?
Taking the mouse away from Barrk, Marinette quickly scanned through the chapter. The fights with the akuma's were on the news and the Ladyblog so details about that weren't surprising. But... There it was. The chapter was titled Robustus and detailed the encounter with the akumatised ai. Not only that it spoke about the confrontation in Miss Mendeleiv's class that led to it. And about the courageous class president that tricked their teacher into letting her go to the principle's office. Like the summary said the names and other details were all different but Marinette had lived through this. She knew who it was talking about. "Oh this is a disaster!" Marinette put her head in her hands as she cried out. "Someone in our class is writing about all the akuma's and posting it online! What if someone figures out our identities? What if Shadow Moth finds this?" This was a complete disaster!
"Calm yourself young Guardian." The sage like voice of Wayzz quietened her nerves some what. "Nobody thinks any of the students are holders of the Miraculous, they're always describes as being rescued by the heroes. Most of the readers don't even think the students exist." The kwami of protection carried on.
"Yeah. The author's even got some great fanart of what the readers think they would look like." Came the voice of Ziggy, the kwami of Passion. Of course that would get an excited comment.
"Really?" Marinette looked at Tikki for confirmation. The reassuring smile the little ladybug spirit gave off calmed her nerves instantly.
With that she looked through the chapters again. Any time Marinette, or rather, Ladybug handed out a Miraculous it always refered to the person by their hero name, all other descriptors vanishing. While the conversation wasn't exact and the activation phrase wasn't mentioned at all, the personalities of the kwami's were right on even if the names were missing. This made Marinette uneasy again. How could someone know about the kwamis so precisely? Aside from her and Alya the only other person who knew about them in any detail was Su Han and potentially Bunnyx but neither of them would write a story. "Are you okay Marinette?" The rest of the kwami's seemed to have noticed that something was wrong and switched focus to their Guardian. Being out and about was something they were only capable of because of her kind heart. How could they not care for her?
"Yeah it's just..." She shook her head as she tried to focus. There was nobody else. Nobody who would have written this anyway. Right? Going back to the first chapter Marinette read through the description of her classmates again. They were all there. All except... Quickly scrolling to look at the name of the author Marinette let out a groan. "Of course. How could I forget?" There was one other person who had met the Kwami's. Who had spoken with them enough to get to know them. He also happened to be the one person who thought Marinette was just protecting the Miracle box for Ladybug.
'BigBrotherBystander' Who else could it be? The one person who knew Ladybug and Chat Noir on more friendly terms than most. Of course Faybon would get the intent right behind conversations he wasnt there for.
"What are you going to do?" Marinette looked up at Tikki as the kwami asked the question. She had to confront him right? But what should she say? And should she do it as herself or Ladybug?
