phew! It took me a long time but I finally finished it. This is my official gravity falls oc introduction!
TDLR for the first two images: Millie is a librarian that Stanford caught from falling off a tall ladder when she was trying to put a book away. They ended up chatting and they both bonded instantly over their love for Dungeons Dungeons and more Dungeons. Millie offered Ford a spot in their weekly campaigns at the library, he declined since meeting lots of new people at once still makes him uneasy, so she gives him her number in case he changes his mind ;)
Anyway, if you have any questions about her feel free to send an ask! I’ll definitely post more info about her so stay tuned! ♥️

Been a while since I made something with this much detail, and honestly? I thoroughly enjoyed every last bit of it. I'm very happy with how this turned out.
Art's still coming at a slow pace, but I got something to compensate for that next week. Until then, I'mma let this piece have its spotlight.

I love this scene in Truth Seekers. It’s like straight from a horror movie. Stolas’ theme music in this is just 👌👌👌

Nah bc why do I feel like Netflix and the st writers are beefing so hard rn bc of the strike that someone from the production leaked the casting for Linda Hamilton so that the reveal on Tudum would be super anticlimactic…
I also thought Chase Stokes was sort of random for a host, but considering OBX 4 literally just started filming days ago, it’s almost like they’re rewarding those that are being most loyal to Netflix 👀

Admittedly, the flashback sequence and honestly the chemistry Blitz n Millie portrayed DID kinda fuel a desire for me to ship them.
Or I guess more specifically the Mercenary Millie and Mercenary Blitz, in a sort of AU setting.
Tumblr media
I mean that whole sequence....I could see this pairing work. Two badass Mercenary Imps, taking on Hell together, kicking all kinds of ass!
Plus with how supportive Mills is to him, she's like...his rock ya know? This couple could totally work in an AU setting.
...Besides the fandom seems to ship Moxxie with everyone under the sun in this show, so being fair, I could see AU Merc n Blitz working.
So you're the person I've seen in the tag who said they shipped 'em
Have to agree honestly!! (This development is also kinda funny to me, because at the very beginning, when we didn't even have the pilot yet, I shipped Blitz and Millie based on the designs and the information we did have about them)

A Fizziepop Take: Let's talk about Millie's fight scene in "Exes And Oohs"
Tumblr media
So, I saw a post talking about Millie's fight in "Exes And Oohs" and how it was kinda annoying because it followed clichĂŠs that every badass fight scene follows (like Millie coming out unharmed at the end or her being able to dodge very shot or bullet that came her way). While I don't know the original poster of this argument, I do have some thoughts on it, so lets get into it!
So the post in question stated something along the lines of the scene was cool but clichĂŠ and seemingly overdone in that sense, claiming that it takes away from the badassery of her scene because she comes out on top and unscathed and her opponents seemingly do nothing but take it up the ass (quite literally in one part).
I disagree. I mean, yeah, the badassery can have a greater effect when our protagonist comes out at least a little messed up, but we're talking about literal demons; of course, they'll have different skill sets and abilities that aide them in things revolving around destruction, death, etc. Not to mention, Millie is from the wrath ring where violence is an occurrence so normal that no one bats an eye at her having a body count over the festival games or Sallie Mae dragging a body through the background of that same scene, meaning that her and those in her family likely have multiple stories involving violence to that degree, on top of her job now being murder for hire so she's likely never had an extended period in her life where violence wasn't a big part of normality to her. It makes sense for her to have the skills and ability to come out on top and unharmed more often than not if that's true.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, because violence has been such a major influence in her life, our lovely little imp's attack was not only vicious, but it was quick and she did most of it with a smaller knife or her bare hands, even using a dildo as a weapon at one point, as well as her boss at another. Given the fact that Millie moved with a feline-like precision and the speed of a puppy with the zoomies on crack as she ripped the skeletons out of the shark demons she fought or split them crotch to skull, I don't think anyone had much of a chance to stop her once she and Blitz drove through that wall.
In all honesty, Blitz only jumped in to help her once (twice if you count her using him as a weapon at one point) so it was essentially one little imp against at least a dozen other demons and it shouldn't have been possible for her to win. But she did. And I think the reason Millie came out on top, aside from just her sheer rage over the situation her husband was in, was because she was underestimated by everyone there. Crimson himself even shouting, "She's a dame! She's a broad, kill her!" when his much larger, primarily male staff couldn't contain Millie as she used their size and lack of speed and agility against them until only she was left standing. And while that was probably the most badass thing I've see from her in this series, I don't think that's actually what this scene was supposed to be about.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the point this scene was trying to make with each cliche trope it contained was packed into the end of the scene and solidified by the last scene in the episode. Why? Because after killing at least a dozen demons, most larger than her and toting far more weaponry, Millie didn't touch Crimson or Chaz. She could've killed them both for what they did but instead, she grabbed her man and threw him over her shoulder before leaving. And what's more interesting is that Crimson let it happen. He let it happen because he knew that despite being 'a dame', she could end him the way she ended every one of the men he sent her way, and that just didn't sit well with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Crimson letting the group leave was huge because it was an admission of defeat, a show of weakness at the hands of the someone he's always seen as the weaker sex, and it left him open to become a reoccurring character later in the series. After having his plan fucked up by a woman and an idiot in a car, and almost being scammed by a broke, sex obsessed shark who can't fuck, he'll feel a need to redeem himself when he comes back, meaning the next scene we see him in may involve a lot more carnage because now he knows he has to account for the fact that Moxxie has at least one person who care about him enough to go absolutely ballistic over him being put in any kind of danger, so if he's gunning for his son, he has to get through Millie at the very least. And after seeing him put a knife through a picture of his son's head, we know he's most definitely looking to take him the fuck out. And for all of us who are getting tired of seeing Moxxie only being a damsel in distress most of the time, a storyline like this could mean he finally gets the chance to not only save the others, but stand up to his dad on a more equal playing field than he had in his childhood home where he was promptly tazed, tied up, and forced to stand at the alter with someone who betrayed him once already.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though I could definitely be reading way farther into this than I need to, this one action packed scene where Millie absolutely killed the game (pun very much intended) could set up so much more because of the clichĂŠs that were used to convey something more than actually outright stated. I feel like that type of thing is very much on brand for Vivziepop and hope our next scene featuring Crimson as our antagonist shows the anger I think was fueled by this loss and a plan to try to come back from it because it would be a great watch. Regardless of my take on it or if any of my thoughts hold any truth, I'm excited to see the direction the next episodes take us.

I love how Viv and Adam try to pull the “be patient we’re only on season two” card, as if they didn’t write three fucking Stolitz centric episodes in a row, and used the time they actually DID have to develop Millie poorly. You had the opportunity and time to develop her in S1E5. You had the time to develop her in episode S1E6. You have the time to develop her in “Ex’s and Ooh’s”, but you’re so focused on pointless filler to pat out the runtime, unfunny sex jokes, and characters you care more about, which are Mox, Blitz, and Stolas, mainly Blitz and Stolas, characters that keep popping up in almost every fucking episode because you can’t take your attention away from them for one second. I’m sick of everyone using the “we’re only on season 2” card, Viv and Adam had plenty of opportunities to focus on her or expand her further but chose not to. I don’t care if we’ll “eventually” get A Millie centric episode, that doesn’t take away the fact that characters like Blitz and Stolas keep getting COUNTLESS episodes where they’re the focus, and Millie has gotten 0 so far. We legit have ANOTHER upcoming Stolas episode with Andrealphus and Striker, so Yayy. Having 1 episode about Millie isn’t a flex guys. Stop ignoring your obvious and blatant favoritism.
