Kotoko would absolutely love a shy reader, why? Well because she could protect you !

Even at first when you two weren’t in a relationship she had this urge to protect you, since usually shy people don't dare defend themselves.

But thankfully Kotoko is here to protect you and she is really good at it.

She would be overprotective I think, not in a bad way… Just be prepared for her to kick the ass of anyone who will bother you.

A man catcalled you in the street? She’s running after him to beat him up. Someone looked at you the wrong way? She is already grabbing their collar. Someone laughed while you were trying to open up? Kotoko’s fist is already on their face. A friend chooses a +4 card on you while playing uno? This friend is already running for their life.

It’s obvious now but you would be her number 1 priority, she would make your needs come first.

As exemple if you two are in a restaurant she asks you what you want right away so that way she could talk to the waitress at your place.

Or another exemple, if you’re at a friend's place and your friends propose some drinks, she would ask you first what you want and then reply to your friend for you.

She would absolutely encourage you to open up, giving you tips, though she would never force you and would be proud at any progress you make.

Since you’re shy she would be but so happy when you’re affectionate to her and she would praise any progress you make !

One time for Valentine's Day, you offered her paper flowers and she was in heaven, especially when you explained that paper flowers have even more meaning and love to them because they’re handmade and take time.. (You struggled and it took 5 minutes for you to say it but Kotoko was extremely happy so it was worth it)

I feel like she would be very open with a shy reader, like she would completely let her mask fall and show her true self to reader, she would be more vulnerable and more open about her feelings… :

You were coming back from a party with friends, it was supposed to be a good night but things went a bit out of hand when a friend made a hurtful remark about how you never stand up for yourself and should stop being too dependent on your girlfriend. Obviously Kotoko went to defend you but it was almost proving your friend’s point and so a huge fight began… You guys left before Kotoko punches someone.

After a few minutes you were both back home. As you sit down on the couch, Kotoko follows you with a bittered expression.

“Are you okay..?” You hesitantly ask, already knowing the response to your question but you still want to check up on your girlfriend.

Kotoko just sighs and walks toward the couch, sitting down and then she lays her head on your lap. You hesitate for a bit but you lay your hand on her head, running your fingers through her hair, she sighs again but this time it seems more like a relaxed sigh.

After thinking for a bit she replies to your question. “I’m okay I guess… But I feel like I'm at fault for what happened back there… You had to hear those hurtful words because of me”. You quickly shake your head at her reply.

“No no ! Nothing is your fault, I… I'm really grateful that you’re always helping me!” You smile, Kotoko turns her head to look at you and you gently caress her cheeks. “... You promise ?” She asks.

You nod, your hand trembling slightly, you’re not used to sharing your honest thoughts like this, but you really want to say what you think to your girlfriend even though you’re shy, she deserves to know.

Kotoko smiled as he sat down next to you. “Love…” She gently rubs your face the same way you did to her. “You made so much progress, you know that?”. You nod a bit, biting your lips, embarrassed but happy that your girlfriend praised your progress. “Those people don’t deserve you, I hope they would acknowledge your progress too” She says with a pained smile.

You shake your head slightly “It’s okay.. as long.. as long as you understand me it’s okay…” You say with a blush on your face, your voice so soft it’s almost inaudible as embarrassment fills your body.

Kotoko feels like her heart is going to explode at the sight of you saying such a sweet thing. “Oh my.. Love, I need you to stop being this cute.” She can’t help but have a small blush on her cheek as she looks at you.

Before you can even respond, you feel Kotoko’s soft lips pressed against yours… It only lasted a few seconds but this kiss made you even more embarrassed, as you squirmed and fidgeted with your shirt. Kotoko chuckles and then gently whispers to you “I love you, darling..”

Today you sat in your cell, tracing shapes onto your foot, strangely drawn stars and triangles shaped onto your foot with your finger while you zoned out with your back against the wall.

“Bunny? I’m coming in.” Haruka almost mumbled as he pushed himself into your cell, his feet quietly pushing itself against the flooring as he kneeled in front of you, hugging you tightly as you sat there.

“Haruka.. what do you want..?” You asked tiredly with clear stress in your voice while you kept drawing on your foot.

He moved to sit next you you, pushing and pulling you so you could sit in between his legs on him floor as you kept drawing shapes on your foot with your finger stopping as you placed your hands by your side your wrists sitting on the floor as you turned to look up at him

“I don't want you talking to anyone else,you're mine.” He said while moving his hands to your waist, pulling you in closer with a frown, his hand drawing mindless shapes in your hair.

For a moment you didn't know how to react, your hands just a few inches away from his back, slowly letting your warm hands trace his cold shirt.

“Sure, if it makes you feel better.”

Been a bit busy and was also kind of falling out of the Milgram fandom for a bit but then I go some spark to write again 😭 I know you wanted a mini scenario with this but JSBHJDSDKSAAS SORRY 🍒 ANON I WASN'T FEELING IT MB ... though maybe I'll go back to this request and add it in, NO PROMISES BUT YEAH !! enjoy ♡

It wasn't as if Haruka was any different from you, in fact you both were quite similar in some ways ⎯ but from the way you quickly shy away from conversations or flee to your 'safe heaven' that is your cell... He wonders if there's a certain reason you were like this, or maybe this was just in your nature to run and hide?

Either way, Haruka was certainly surprised to see you approach him first. Coming up from behind him but not necessarily saying anything, just watching as he scribbled on the sheet of paper he was given by the Warden.

It certainly gave him a fright when you made a comment about his drawing though.

When he quickly turned around, you both simultaneously yelped in surprised before getting flustered at each other's reaction.

Was it a rocky start? Most definitely, but it's what drew him in to better understand you ⎯ feeling that connection that you understood his pain and flaws, while also having your own faults that he wanted to understand about you.

Maybe it was from Shidou's influence or soft teaching about these sort of things, but you were glad to know Haruka feels at ease with you.

Often times, after the incident between you two, the prisoners got to see you two together doing god knows what. Scribbling on sheets of paper, talking each other's ears off about interests you both had or are introducing to each other, or maybe it's just comfortable silence where nothing is exchanged between you guys ⎯ holding each other's hand as you walk around the place for a bit, or until you one of you fall asleep onto the other person's shoulder.

It's a cute humbling sight to see, it almost made you guys forget that you were participants of the MILGRAM program... (stopping here before I start angsting)

The sound of Haruka slamming the gate to his cell made you crawl out of your skin, the sound of him screaming and throwing things around in his cell made your ears ring like gongs.

The sound of Muu’s deceitful works dripping out of her mouth like honey made your ears bleed, like the sound of metal grating against itself. Finally she left as you slowly entered his cell.

“Haruka.. are you alive..?” His head whipped around to turn and look at you, his eyes puffy and red, his face covered in snot, he ran up to you, pulling you down on top of him as he buried his face in your collarbone. “[Name].. I can't do this anymore.. I can't..” She sobbed into your chest, whimpering as he pleaded with you.

It was all too much for him, he was just like a little baby bird, one who’d left the nest far too soon. You rubbed his back, kissing his cheeks and forehead softly almost like a lost puppy.

“There there, Haru, it's all okay.. hush now..” You whispered into his ear pushing yourself on the floor and having him sit on your lap as you played with his hair.

Haruka sniffled, his sobs dying down slightly as he shook his head. “Mama hates me.. you probably hate me too.. right..?” His eyes pled with you to dispel his delusions, the corners of his eyes still watery.

“I don't hate you Haruka.. you poor thing.. why would I ever hate you sweetheart?” He chuckled between sobs, wrapping his slim arms around you silently.

“Do you promise..? Tell me you promise.. please, please, please, please tell me you promise..” He held you even closer, his blue hair tickling your nose as you kissed his temple.

“I promise, Haruka.”
