it feels like jason and talia usually get the same level of writing from the same author. the way one author treats one of them is so similar to how that author treats the other

It’s really really interesting that they left El’s feelings to be resolved in season 5.
The last time we hear about El’s feelings towards Mike it’s in her letter: “I have gone to become a superhero again. From, El”. That is quite literally El saying she doesn’t love Mike anymore.
She considers writing love to be the bare minimum. “You can’t even write it, Mike.” She thought Mike not saying or writing it meant he didn’t love her anymore. So, she stopped writing it too. While it wasn’t necessarily a breakup letter, that was her telling Mike that she is done waiting for him.
That would’ve immediately lead to their breakup if it weren’t for Will. (That’s why she doesn’t even try to kiss him during their reunion in the desert.) Will talked Mike into giving that monologue, Will lied about who had his feelings. The same feelings that Mike was reassured by and called back to in his monologue to El. The relationship we’ll see Mike and El in at the beginning of season 5 will be built on a lie.
How long this lie lasts is mainly based on the painting, but also on El herself.
Will’s feelings are solidified. Mike’s seem solidified. El’s are unconfirmed. (But, last we saw it seemed she’d lost feelings.) We never see how she responds to the monologue, but we do know some things about after it.
She’s distant. Will has reason to believe that Mike and El haven’t talked at all since the monologue. He asks Mike, kind of timidly, “has she talked to you at all?” and Mike says “not much”. He then reveals that they talked about the supernatural stuff, about her loss. We don’t hear anything about the state of their relationship.
They choose to have Mike and Will have another heart to heart at the end of the season instead of Mike and El. They choose to have El walk out on that hill independently with Mike staying by Will’s side behind her.
I don’t think they’ll pull an off camera breakup for them. But, we saw from how El acted in the desert reunion that she won’t be hostile to Mike after a mature breakup. In the pizza place right before the monologue, she holds his hands and appears to be trying to gently tell him something. I’ve never gotten anything but breakup vibes from that moment. They get interrupted, then the monologue happens. If they didn’t let it get interrupted, Mike and El would’ve broken up.
They’re set up to start yet another season with a rocky relationship built on a lie and an I love you. We saw from the way seasons 3 and 4 happened, that is a recipe for disaster.
I can’t wait to see how they decide to reveal El’s feelings and the painting. In what order? How? How long do Mike and El stay together? How does Will react? How does Mike react? How does El react? There’s so much volume in this love triangle it’s insane.

Begun fantasizing about a scenario in which, shortly after Evan’s passing, William throws Michael out of the house in the middle of the night in a moment of drunken rage. Isolated from his friends and estranged from his uncle, Michael makes his way to Fredbear’s Family Diner, which is still closed following the Bite. It’s just a place to crash for the night, before William sobers up and inevitably forgets he locked Mike out and gets angry all over again at him for ‘sneaking out.’ He knows the drill.
While in the restaurant Mike finds Fredbear with his little brother’s blood dried all over it. Despite being pretty numb over the past several weeks, he’s suddenly overcome with every emotion he’s been bottling up; fear, rage, sorrow, pain, and so, so much guilt. He breaks down into sobs, apologizing to the animatronic as if Evan would be able to hear him through the animatronic.
And Evan... does.
The sound of Michael’s voice wakes up Evan’s spirit inside the animatronic. He’s confused, terrified, not recognizing where he is or what form he’s in. He does recognize Michael, however, and reacts with sheer horror. As does Michael when he sees Fredbear begin moving on its own and shrieking and flailing around on stage.
Between Evan’s screaming and panicking and sobbing, Michael puzzles out that the seemingly haunted animatronic is, in fact, his little brother. He’s equally terrified; Evan has every reason to hate him and want him dead, and in that large, metal body he could very easily make that happen. But even so, he inches his way towards Evbear, and softly says his brother’s name. Evan’s animatronic body can’t cry, but Michael can hear mechanical sobs echoing from inside as Evan says he just wants to go home and begs Michael to take him there.
And Michael... does.
All of this because I want a comical reverse-heist scene of Michael sneaking his now six foot tall metal brother into the house without alerting William.

Schuppan 962CR P1, 1991. Selected as Best in Show at the London Concours. The Schuppan is based on a Porsche 962, the project was to use a Reynard carbonfibre chassis with bodywork styled by Mike Simcoe. The plan didn't work out, and just six cars (including 2 LM models and 2 CRs) were built. This example was the project's prototype and development car, and based on a racing machine that had competed at Le Mans in 1990. It would later enter private ownership, spending some time in France before being brought back to the UK, where it has since been fully refurbished and retrimmed.

One of the funniest things about the QSMP finale was Pac going "Yeah, Cucurucho transferred my consciousness into this Egg body to save me," and Mike is immediately like, "Wait, why the hell didn't they save me?!?" pfttt

I love this little subsection because since the series made nothing canon we all just run wild with our own HCs but most of us unanimously agree that Dulse and Zossie= Either father-daughter or brother-sister but in the found family way

After the storm sieges Will in that field, Joyce holds him that night, her weight against him like a remora along his spine. And as he sleeps, or as the body cradled to the crook of hers does, it isn't Will she is holding. It is the body that belongs to Will, but Will isn't whats inside anymore. Or if he is, it's in microdoses, like a craving ringworm or hopeless antigen.
And later in the hospital, waiting for doctors to make a decision and waiting for Will to wake up -not the monster in Will's skin, but Will, his wise and wonderul mage- Mike sees it; the shifting animal in his best friend's body, even if no one else seems to. Sees the way it stares back at him in those unfeeling brown eyes that are so far from the hazel dream catchers Mike knows, gritty shadows of dust devils swirling beneath the surface. He sees it and he hates it and he spends every second stuck in that room hating it, the feeling second only to the chilling fear he has for Will. The fear that this time he won't come back.

At some point I am going to actually have to watch Idiocracy. I mean, I know I don't HAVE to, but I enjoy subjecting myself to such film experiences for the sake of having a better reason to analytically criticize something.
