Das hier ist ein Versuch meine Gedanken zu dem Thema zu ordnen also wird es vielleicht etwas wirr:

Der Begriff "queerbaiting" wird ja im Bezug auf Tatort Saarbrücken sehr inflationär verwendet, manchmal sehr ernst und manchmal eher humorvoll. Ich persönlich mag das nicht so sehr weil ich zum einen finde, dass es nicht auf Spatort zutrifft und zum anderen das Gefühl habe, dass der Vorwurf der in diesem Wort liegt, an Bedeutung verliert wenn er zu oft benutzt wird.

Ich verstehe aber die Enttäuschung und verletzten Gefühle, die dahinter stecken und daher kommen, dass man schon in vielen anderen Serien oder Filmen erlebt hat, dass ganz bewusst queere Untertöne gesetzt wurden weil die Produktion die Aufmerksamkeit eines queeren Publikums haben möchte (den support, die klicks, die gratis promo durch den Hype, den Vorteil sich als progressive show labeln zu können ect.). Und dann wird genau diese treue und unterstützende fanbase irgendwann eiskalt fallengelassen und belächelt weil man letztlich doch nicht den Mut hatte zu riskieren den Anteil des eher konservativ eingestellten mainstream Publikums zu verlieren (what do you MEAN queer subtext? That was never intended 🤡).

Also was ich damit sagen will ist: I get it. I`ve been there too.

Aber...

Es gibt hier auf tumblr einen post (den ich leider nicht mehr finde) in dem beschrieben wird, dass es beim Tatort generell unüblich ist, dass Ermittler:innen als Paar zusammenkommen oder sich was romantisches entwickelt, selbst wenn es eine Menge tension und build up gibt. Eben auch bei hetero Charakteren. Ich kann das selber leider nicht so gut beurteilen weil ich zu selten andere Tatort Teams schaue aber ich verlasse mich hier mal auf diese Einschätzung.

Wenn das wirklich so eine Art Gesetz für das Format ist, dass zwischen Ermittler:innen nichts laufen darf, könnte es doch sein, dass der SR Tatort im Rahmen seiner Möglichkeiten sein Bestes versucht um die Entwicklung der Beziehung zwischen Leo und Adam zu erzählen ohne die "Regeln" zu brechen, die für den Tatort vorgegeben sind (also z.B. kein onscreen Kuss, kein romantisches Liebesgeständnis ect.).

Wenn das der Fall wäre, hätte es für mich nichts mit queerbaiting zu tun. Weil das bedeuten würde, dass unter erschwerten Bedingungen versucht wird Repräsentation zu schaffen, so gut es eben geht.

Und abgesehen davon, ist es ja auch nicht so, dass zwei Menschen die Gefühle füreinander haben zwangsläufig zusammenkommen müssen. Vielleicht sehen wir im Spatort einfach 2 (oder 4) queere Charaktere, die es halt nicht gebacken kriegen den ersten Schritt zu machen. Was schon wieder sympathisch realistisch wäre.

Ich weiß es gibt auf tumblr schon ein paar wirklich tolle posts zu dem Thema, die besser geschrieben sind aber ich musste auch mal meine Gedanken dazu loswerden. Bitte steinigt mich nicht 😅.

Falls ihr eine komplett andere Meinung dazu habt, würde ich total gerne lesen warum. update: Leute 🧡 vielen vielen Dank für die ganzen Nachrichten unter dem post! Mit so vielen Reaktionen hab ich gar nicht gerechnet und es ist so schön eure Gedanken dazu zu lesen.

no but the way viserys continues to haunt the story through rhaenyra and alicents conflict, which gets passed down to both of their children, is crazy good content.

the irony in that viserys the peaceful was the one who started this war, and the downfall of the dragons/his family in the first place.

viserys and daemon had their own conflict, but when viserys alienated rhaenyra initially by marrying her best friend, he then ignored his and alicents children, eventually later his actions leading to rhaenyra marrying his brother (who he'd also taken for granted and ignored).

he then kept doting on rhaenyra up until the moment he died, further seperating himself from his own children by alicent.

alicent knows of rhaenyras affairs, grows hateful and takes that resentment out on her own children instead, while her father otto is further poisoning her and them for his own ends to scheme for the throne.

so then alicents children learnt to grow up disliking rhaenyra's. the only time you see them even remotely amicable is when theyre bullying aemond, another bond made through cruelty instead of kindness. this is ironic considering at laenas funeral you can see that aemond actually thinks about trying to offer comfort to i think baela and rhaena (if i remember correctly?)

aegon and helaena couldnt care less, which to me makes it even more sad. if aemond had, he might not have then been so quick to rub his claiming of vhagar in their faces, and he might not have lost an eye.

the taking of the eye plus viserys' incompetence reignites and cements alicents hatred for rhaenyra even more. viserys takes rhaenyras side, not defending his hurt child at all, even going as far as to shout at aegon for even the mention that he might have said something against rhaenyra. this causes alicent to attack her, and later making her then double down on her efforts to pressure aegon into hating rhaenyra, further distancing him from her.

later we see with aegon that his mothers pressure leads him to find affection in other very unhealthy and harmful ways, assaulting his maids, excessive drinking, brothel going, and assumably fathering many bastards, leading him tho the child fighting rings as well. aemond too starts going to the brothel and avoiding alicent, but for platonic affection instead of anything more.

helaena is the one who received the most of her mothers love and the least of her cruelty, however their relationship is similarly screwed up because shes the only child that doesnt actually want affection from her...

meanwhile rhaenyra is a very loving and fiercely protective mother to her children, fighting for them above all else, especially when their parentage is concerned. she does anything for them, and it shows in their natures that their upbringing, other than the scrutiny from other nobles about their father, that they were raised kindly and wisely.

whats also completely different is that rhaenyras children have not one but three father figures, all of which love them in different ways, which is three more than alicents children have. you could make an argument for cole being a prominent male figure in their lives but he is also quite cruel and hateful.

we see team greens children grow up to be anxious, affection starved control freaks, with mummy and daddy issues, with not one of them knowing how to be a leader even though they are all in some way forced to be one.

aegon is an incompetent drunkard of a king who knows nothing of court or war or politics, not even high valyrian. he is only a figurehead, but is strangely empathetic towards his subjects and loves his children.

aemond is cruel and objective, a fierce fighter and being the most studied and educated of them all, but with no care to his subjects and far too willing to disregard or maim his own blood for his own ambitions.

helaena is the gentlest but she herself has no ambition to rule, she is kind but also an outcast of their society because of her prophecies. she also does not particularly care for her subjects, even being scared of them and their willingness to get to know her.

meanwhile in complete contrast jacaerys and lucerys are kind, more than willing to learn, theyre fluent in high valyrian, they are very interested in their histories and heritage and they learn sword fighting from harwin and assumably laenor? later probably daemon too.

they stand in the war council room with their mother and learn, and even baela and rhaena are involved by rhaenyra to both take part and learn.

the generational trauma goes crazy in this show, but all these characters are so compelling. i dont think there is a single main character that doesnt interest me. yes most of them are bad people and have done awful things, but its also so interesting to see how they got that way and see how one fathers actions, or lack thereof, caused so much destruction.

Wir wissen kaum etwas von Pias Schwester Mara. Mir kam nur so ein Gedanke beim letzten rewatch - sollte Mara freiwillig verschwunden sein, so wie Adam, erhoffte sich Pia durch ihr Frage Antworten zu bekommen, die sie weiterhin hoffen lassen würden, dass Mara zurückkommen könnte?!?!

Wie gesagt, wir kennen die genauen Umstände noch nicht. Es ist alles offen. Bin begeistert... wie viel Spielraum EdN zum spekulieren bietet.

Ich habe mir Gedanken gemacht, zu der KdE-Szene in der Adam in den Bunker zurückkommt und sich zur schlafenden Heide auf das Sofa setzt weil ich das Anfangs nicht so richtig einordnen konnte. Erstmal hat Pia mein ganzes Herz dafür, dass sie den Vergleich mit der toxischen Beziehung bringt (die gesamte Szene zwischen ihr und Leo ist total schön). Sie verurteilt ihn nicht sofort dafür Moritz Leimer laufen gelassen zu haben (oh Pia wenn du wüsstest 💀...) sondern ist eher besorgt um ihn. Was sehr schön ihren Charakter widerspiegelt. Sie will immer, dass es allen im Team gut geht. Aber zurück zu Adam. Leo denkt am Ende der Szene offensichtlich über sich und Adam nach und dann wechseln wir vom Kommissariat in den Bunker, wo Adam Heide schlafend auf dem Sofa findet. Genau auf dem Sofa auf dem in den letzten zwei Nächten noch Leo geschlafen hatte. Ob sie auf Adam gewartet hat oder zufällig dort eingeschlafen ist, erfahren wir nicht. Aber er seufzt als er sie entdeckt, weil er (nach meiner Interpretation) durch ihren Anblick daran erinnert wird wer nicht mehr im Bunker ist: Leo. Und der wird wohl auch so schnell nicht wiederkommen nach dem Streit im Krankenhaus. Adam deckt seine Mutter zu, was ausdrücken könnte, dass sie sich inzwischen wieder etwas angenähert haben. Vielleicht soll es uns auch nur zeigen, dass er fürsorglich ist und auf die Menschen um sich herum aufpasst. Er setzt sich zu ihr und schaut sie an, während er spürt, dass er trotz ihrer Anwesenheit ganz allein ist und gerade mit niemandem reden kann obwohl ihn so viel beschäftigt. Auch wenn die Musik nicht unbedingt traurig klingt, wirkt Adam sehr einsam in dieser Szene. Seine wahre Familie (Leo) ist nicht hier und er spürt wie sein Geheimnis einen Keil zwischen ihn und Leo getrieben hat. Leos Worte im Krankenhaus sind ihm alles andere als egal auch wenn er das vor Leo nicht gezeigt hat. So nachdenklich wie er zum Schluss aussieht, denke ich inzwischen, dass er hier beschlossen haben könnte, Leo endlich von dem Geld zu erzählen. (FdG: "ich hätt´s dir sagen sollen und wollte ich auch.") Nur dass Leo es in der Sporttasche entdeckt hat, bevor Adam mit ihm darüber sprechen konnte. Ich möchte zumindest gern glauben, dass er Leo endlich mit einbeziehen wollte. update: Gerade kam mir der Gedanke, dass es vielleicht auch eine direkte Gegenüberstellung der beiden Szenen sein sollte: Leo hat Freund*innen wie zum Beispiel Pia weil er sich Menschen gegenüber öffnen kann. Er kann mit ihr reden, seine Gefühle zeigen und sie ist für ihn da, gibt ihm einen Rat. Adam dagegen hat niemanden zu dem er nach dem Streit gehen kann, außer Heide. Und Heide ist, wie wir spätestens seit EdN wissen, nicht die beste comfort-person. Das macht es noch bedeutsamer, dass Adam sich in EdN mehr mit Pia anfreundet. Es tut ihm gut neben Leo endlich noch andere Beziehungen (freundschaftliche) in seinem Leben zuzulassen. Es gibt hier noch einen anderen interessanten Aspekt der Leo betrifft. Im Gespräch mit Pia macht er deutlich, dass es nicht unbedingt seine Entscheidung war, Moritz Leimer laufen zu lassen, sondern Adams. In EdN hat er hier schon eine Entwicklung durchlaufen und vor Esther zugegeben, dass er genauso daran schuld war. "wir" vs. WIR.

Also ich glaube ja ganz ganz fest daran, dass Joon und Ju sich irgendwann wieder gefunden haben. Erstmal brauche ich das für meine mentale Gesundheit aber ich fänds einfach auch schön, weil das so eine 'wir finden uns in jedem Universum wieder' Freundschaft ist <3 Es dauert dann vielleicht ein bisschen länger, aber sie finden wieder zu einander, das glaube ich ganz doll!!

Thoughts about Kaiser and Shidou + potential parallelisms [edited]

Idk this may make sense to me only bUT! I need Shidou's backstory so I can complete the puzzle of all the silly parallelisms between him and Kaiser.

I really feel like Shidou was. Made to feel meaningless, which is why he has the urge to leave a sign of his existence in this world with his "genes". He cannot separate the field from his life, as if football is *all* his life as ever revolved about, or as if he's been using it to survive the world.

And we've seen that Kaiser actually does something similar. He clings to football with claws and fangs because the idea of going back to what it was before nauseates him. Yet he cannot escape his trauma. Kaiser is such a beautifully complex and realistic character. He's been on survival mode for years and hasn't stopped yet.

(And maybe Kaiser will start to finally escape this vicious circle in the next chapters? Just like Shidou has now toned down his impulsivity and can actually play with people without getting red-carded the second someone gets in his way. For example: past sd would've prolly axe-kicked kuni right in the face if he got marked like that.)

I also like how violent both Shidou and Kaiser were once introduced to actual, semi-professional football. Kaiser reacting badly to kidness vs Shidou casually resorting to violence towards anyone who either slightly reacts to him negatively or straight up bores him.

and asdhhshdf Idk if it makes sense but I think they're equally similar and opposites. It's like they're sorta different faces of the same coin.

Another thing they're different on is that Kaiser tends to take things on a personal level vs shidou moving on the second after smt happens.

And. Ugh. They're. So interesing together. I need them to interact more, although they would absolutely despise each other because of how different their philosophy of life is. Like shidou would prolly find kaiser "childish" for not moving on from his trauma vs kaiser would think of shidou as dumb and inferior for his different approach to proving his own existence.

Also this may be the kise brain braining but if Sae managed to train Shidou then no one can stop him from training kaiser as well LMFAOOO that trip to spain will indeed be fun !

EDIT: ALSO!!! the fact they both have this weird ass concept of the "Impossible". Like Kaiser being like "I will overcome the impossible" vs shidou's "Impossible? that's not in my vocabulary".

Also their empathy level is both underground lmfao. Slay, ig.
