Sorry. I'm a bit obsessed with vernetto (tk14). I just now notice (or maybe ) I have developed such a weak spot for yuri with a bit complex childhood friend tone background surrounding them.

Now that I remember that Princess Principal has similar tone of yuri where AngeLotte basically were also childhood friends but the thing that sold me from PriPri was not that tone of yuri but more like princess and her knight thingy(?)

And... And how Princess(Charlotte) basically wants to melt/ruined the wall in Ange's cold heart?!?! That was really sweet.

Meanwhile in Reverse: 1999, in the case of Vernetto, they both also have similar tone too with AngeLotte (princess/lady and her knight) but I think their personalities and roles got kinda Reversed here where Vertin is the one that has the role like Princess(they both have similar motives to save their people/Arcanist) while the pain of losing friends causing Vertin numb and expressionless, hence the poker face but not cold like Ange she is death inside and the only motive to survive was so she can meet princess and elopes to Casablanca with her

And we have Sonetto with a more warm and naive personality compared to Ange(similar with Princess) but she still shares the same motives with Ange where they just wants to protect their lover

There are always 2 sides.

The discourse around Louis and Lestat being a victim and abuser and nothing more drives me insane.

Something i don't think enough people remember is that the very same reason the fight began in 1×05 (lestat grabbing claudia by the throat when she tries to "take louis away") we see Louis himself do to her in 1×07 when she tries to get Louis to burn Lestat.

They BOTH would harm her rather than live in a world without the other. They are both guilty of abusing her and each other.

There is an implication that a good deal of time passed between Louis and Lestat meeting and the church. Louis expresses that he shares himself with Lestat in a way he only had with Paul. I would assume that goes both ways, to a degree. We know Louis knows at least enough about Nicki to discourage Claudia poking that wound. He also clearly knows that the threat of leaving is his most powerful weapon against Lestat.

Mental abuse is abuse. And Louis abused Lestat mentally for years. Shaming him, ridiculing him, shutting him out, manipulating him into making Claudia (a traumatic moment for him, whether Louis understands the depths of it or not) by promising to give him what he's being denying him, promising to never put him through what he fears the most.

Louis admits to purposely making Lestat suffer. He admits he was warned that Claudia would suffer and he wanted her anyway because he needed to feel redeemed. He is not innocent. He is not a trapped, weak victim. He made choices to hurt both Lestat and Claudia time and time again.

Does this justify Lestat's actions in 1×05? Obviously not. But we now know Louis was not willing to stop the fight. He taunted Lestat the same way he taunted the Alderman. He was unleashing years of frustrations just as Lestat was. His priority was not to protect Claudia, it was to hurt Lestat, consequences be damned.

I hate the drop scene as much as the next person and Lestat has admitted he will never earn forgiveness for what he did. But if you view Louis as some squeaky clean victim who was manipulated, trapped, and abused by Lestat you are missing so much of what this show is conveying.

We will always tend to paint ourselves as the hero of our own story. It is hard to accept your faults or that you hurt people you love. It is much easier to shift that blame on to someone else, to frame them as the villian. But life is not usually that black and white. Claudia had harsh words for them both in her diary, even before they got to Europe, for a reason. They both made hurtful mistakes with her, both treated her like a pawn in their relationship instead of a person, both harmed her, took away her choice, never prioritized her.

That is the great tragedy. That she never had a choice and was not allowed to be her own person. And in the end, they both are responsible for her misery and her death. That's what makes the reunion scene so important. They have been grieving her and carrying that guilt alone, all the while longing for the comfort of the other for 70+ years. Louis has found clarity in his memories, he has accepted his role in their suffering, he has seen Lestat's perspective more fully. Lestat is broken, totally consumed with that guilt and grief. Both know that although they cannot change what they've done, they can forgive the other, even if they can't forgive themselves. They can love each other despite everything they've done to one another because they cannot stop loving each other. But now they can try to rebuild that love from the rubble.

Room Cleaning Guide

Do you feel like crap? Well if you do, there could be many reasons. But you know what usually makes that a bit better? (Other than a shower, some water, a good meal and a nap) A clean space. Here’s my guide to cleaning your room, as someone with ADHD who tends to be naturally messy, but also can’t function if things aren’t clean. I’ll try to give some of my tips, and also break down the overwhelming process to hopefully give you a starting point.

- First off, the top priority is cleanliness, making things less dirty, organization can come later. Sorting everything into little color-coded containers is fun but not always sustainable. Sometimes the most important thing is just to make sure everything has a place.

- Start by getting everything off the floor and onto surfaces, that way it’s more in view and easily accessible, also less obstacles complicating things.

- Now that everything is at eye level, it’s time to get that stuff further out of the way. First get all of your dirty laundry and drag it out, start up a load and set a timer to go back and switch it over to dry when it’s done.

- Start sorting your piles based on where they need to be put away.

- Take anything that doesn’t belong in your bedroom (dishes, utensils, etc.) and put them out.

- Now that you can mainly stay in one place, put on some music and start putting things away. Dont focus on organizing drawers or anything yet, just get everything in its general place. Remember, don’t put away things you aren’t going to use. Try to be realistic. Are you really going to repurpose that paper bag? Are those keepsakes actually going to be special to you in five years?

- Make sure to gather any trash you find, take a grocery bag or something of the sort around with you. Then take it out of your room and throw it away.

- Great job! Now, go ahead and dust and wipe down your surfaces. I usually like to use Clorox wipes on more frequented areas and a damp rag to dust shelves and the like. Make sure to get all the spots you can! You don’t want dust building up.

- Once your surfaces are sorted now it’s time to tackle the floor. Get everything out of the way and vacuum. For wooden/tile floor I recommend sweeping and then either using a dust pan or a small vacuum to get the pile.

- With all of this stuff down you’re reaching the end! You can stop here or go ahead tackle additional projects like organizing drawers or sorting out your wardrobe.

- Remember to take breaks, drink water, and check up on your laundry!

To be a cartoon created where your character traits design does not effect you in the show (because it’s a cartoon) and your entire things is arts n crafts…. You love making art that’s like, your whole thing

Then to be translated into real life as a living cartoon, and suddenly the claws that didn’t give you any issues in the animated show gives you issues- and more importantly it makes drawing harder. So despite loving to draw and in the show you wouldn’t have these issues suddenly one physical trait makes it so much harder. I feel that would be a bit discouraging somewhat

A scraps in the show with drawings that the physical in real life scraps just. Can’t seem to look right to it. Watching herself drawing with no issues. Yeah she probably goes ‘no not good enough’ and throws that stuff to the side in the show too but it’s… distinctly different for you. You still love drawing though, and it’s practically your defining trait show wise. You are part of the living arts n crafts, that’s who you are.

It’s just. Harder. Especially when the shows events act as your memories and your life too. At one point your claws weren’t even an issue, not hindering anything you did until suddenly they did.

That being said, I dont think any of those are the actual canon intentions. It’s not that deep I dont think, just a lil ‘yeah the claws WOULD make it a lil harder to do things’ but I get to do what I want

Last Twilight Ep 9; The conclusion of Mee's story

Mee's story was such an amazing addition to Last Twilight. I've explored the parallels in the stories before here, and this episode marked the conclusion of Mee's story. I absolutely loved that the book was actually written by a father who's daughter was going blind. Much like we enjoy and find comfort in queer allegories made by queer creators, Day found comfort in David's writing.

I forgot to get a screenshot of the exact dialogue, but in the last leg of the story, Mee seeks out the Last Twilight mountaintop in hopes that it will break the curse. Day seeks out the mountaintop too. to see the place that brought this story to life, to know what the author saw, and to have one more memory for himself for when he loses his sight.

We see them enact Mee's journey within the book, also mirroring the journey David would have gone on when bringing his daughter to the mountaintop. Mhok reads the story that David wrote, travelling with Day as David would have travelled with his daughter, the inspiration for Mee.

Side note, Day's happiness when realizing that Mee was based off of someone very similar to him is understandable. There's nothing better than finding others who are like you, especially when they're behind works you see yourself in. It functions both at face value, and as a queer allegory.

Then, of course, they reach the mountaintop. and Mhok reads the ending of the book, in which Mee is bathed by the sunlight and turns to stone, never to fade away again. Mhok doesn't like the ending, it's too abrupt, too sad. He doesn't understand why Mee's life has to end there, why the author would choose to end the story of a girl inspired by his daughter in this way. But Day gets it. As he's sitting with Mhok at the mountaintop, he understands what it's like to want to be trapped in a moment forever. (This also says a lot about their characters, and how they view the world differently)

In the end, Last Twilight didn't come. And sure, there's some 'the journey was more important than the destination' stuff here, but it's also about Day finally accepting that his sight is gone for good. I've talked before about how Mee no longer chasing after the sun paralleled the end of Mhok and Day's relationship as caretaker and caretakee(?), and I think that Mee turning to stone parallels this point of Day's life somewhat similarly. Mee would never fade again, but she would remain a statue forever, a fate viewed to be just as bad, if not worse by many. Day has become fully blind, a fate viewed as far worse than his vision before. But maybe, this could lead to a new chapter in his life, where he could be free of the small, torturous part of his brain that refused to believe that his sight wasn't coming back.

So yes, maybe it was better to end the story this way. Day may be fully blind, but he has Mhok to ensure that Day never fades away again.

And it's ok that Last Twilight never came, because he saw it anyway, and the last thing he ever saw was the face of someone he loved, the face he wanted to be the last thing that he ever saw.

Mee's story could be seen as tragic, yes. But to her, turning to stone, trapped in a wonderful moment for her to treasure forever, this was a fate far better than chasing after the sun forever, forever afraid of fading away.
