Random ask, if Klance, Gajevy, and Merthur are going to Hogwarts, what houses do you think that will fit them (in your opinions)? Why?

Hmmm.... That's a very good question too.

1. Gajevy

Levy would definitely be a Ravenclaw. She's academic smart and solves riddles. She's pretty clearly a Ravenclaw.

Gajeel would, I think, be a Slytherin. Once he's decided on a family, he sticks to them. This has a little to do with my definition of Slytherins but I think Gajeel would be really family and blood oriented. If he can't have that, then he's going to stick to the group of people he accepts as family and goes way too far for them. It's what he did when we first see him. (I watched the show 10 years ago, I can't remember the guild name) but I remember that his entire life revolved around them and he simply accepted their guild rules as law.

My house definition on that note:

Hufflepuffs don't focus so much on blood/family relations and more on found family. Their friendship bonds are self made and soft.

Ravenclaws are study groups that help each other become smarter.

Gryffindors are friends who are willing to fight each other for their believes if necessary.

Slytherins stick to blood relations and accept tradition as law and would never stand up to one another. Nor are their relationships necessarily emotional or have specific goals. They stick together in order to stick together. That's why they are easier to manipulate.

2. Klance

Lance: Gryffindor. The reason for that is not necessarily that it's the house that fits him best but Lance would have chosen it. He has as much Hufflepuff energy as he is brave but he wants to be brave, wants to be a hero. So, naturally, the hat let him choose the house. And he grows really into that role.

Keith: Gryffindor. He's reckless, he's couragous and gets himself in trouble. He's always been a Gryffindor. And Lance hates to know that the hat didn't hesitate to put Keith there. That Keith is more of a Gryffindor than him. Keith doesn't really believe that he fits though.

However, I believe that both of them would be able to pull the sword from the hat. I might even argue that Lance would do it first.

3. Merthur

Oh.... Boy. This one is difficult, I swear.

Arthur is easily a Gryffindor. He's courage incarnate, whereelse would HE go? He's pulled the sword from the stone, he's a Pendragon, gold on red. That's a Gryffindor alright. (Although I would find it funny if he chose family over himself at the age of 11 and therefore lands in Slytherin on accident.)

Merlin, however.... Merlin could go anywhere.

Merlin is the bravest man Arthur has ever known. Merlin is smart (a physician). Merlin is accepting and trusting and he's also cunning and far too tied to his friends. The hat never needed longer to decide where to put him.

I have a few theories where Merlin would go, possibly.

A) if he knows Arthur is his destiny, he will follow him to Gryffindor.

B) if it's purely based on his characteristics and the hat gets to decide, he'd be a Slytherin. (Unless the hat has Kilgharrahs voice, then he'll be in Gryffindor again)

C) if Merlin chooses his own future, decides to focus on studying his magic, he'd go to Ravenclaw.

D) if Merlin can't decide, if the hat can't decide and Merlin doesn't want to give up on either of his characteristics, then the hat will put him in Hufflepuff to become an Allrounder.

That's my thoughts on this :) feel free to share yours as well ^^

I have been thinking about one of Hob Gadling (The Sandman)’s quote « Do you know how hungry a man can get, if he doesn’t die but he doesn’t eat ? » and then I thought about merthur because, you know merthur.

Like after the whole return (being used to modern time etc) I think one of the hardest thing for arthur would be how immortal [in western media] are represented ? Like in ancient time (maybe I’m wrong on this) and in fairy tail (even in Merlin, Nimueh is immortal, Morgana too, all the priestess are actually and a lot of creature of magic seems to live very long life) I feel like most immortal characters are introduced as ‘oh yeah, they are immortal, no big deal, anyway—‘ but in modern western time very few immortal are depicted like Hob Gadling (life with misery and happy moment but still thinking no matter what I have so much to live for) most are… depressed and suicidal(I won’t go into my beliefs that most people don’t actually desire that their life end but they desire rest and joy but anyway)

It would be interesting to explore arthur fear ( were you happy ? Even if you were happy most of the time, did horrific thing happened to you ? We’re you okay ?) that could emerge because he discovers way of thinking that are different from his time.

To me, anyway. I love getting together stories with loads of pining. And I prefer it if it could possibly align with canon. If a ship turns canon... it kinda ruins the purpse. Because... It's already a thing. It's fixed. I dunno, maybe I'm just not imaginative enough XD

3. Klance

A 3 year obsession. XD i'm half glad they didn't become canon and I am soooo frustrated too. Also, I think Allurance wasn't done Justice. It felt very one sided and that makes me sad for that boat. They could have gotten better and they should have.

4. Drarry (Harry Potter)

*Sighs frustratedly* you know? I am fine with them not being canon, but it should have been addressed! It made sense, even if it was unresolved/unrequited, whatever. nothing would have had to change!!!! On the same note: Wolfstar. But that one is a bit out of my interest zone

Gajevy (Fairy tail)

My first real shipping experience. And I loved their story arc. Especially Gajeel grew so much and it's the one time I think a bully actually deserved to be forgiven. He really worked on himself to do right by his friends.

Zosan (One Piece)

I ship this for the shits and giggles XD

Lumity (The owl house)

Luz and Amity are just so cute together and I love them and it's only downside is that it's already canon :( the show moved too quickly. Had to... But still

So this post caused quite of a stir, so this is in answer to everyone asking themselves: “WTF?”

In my last year of High School, we were tasked with creating some designs for these two buildings in a park close to our school. Long story short, instead of choosing two sets of designs, they chose mine and later tasked me to create more, so it could all be cohesive. The general theme I had gone with is sort of like... “Magic creatures in a fantasy land”, since it was for kids. I had to go with things that could be done quickly (We had 2 months)

So I put some Merlin references. Sadly some ideas had to be simplified, so there are only two recognizable references in the walls...

On the little columns, however...

So I’ll show you the designs, keep in mind that I was working on a tight schedule... 

vs How it looked while being made

Fairies were a common fixture. If you look at him from up close you can see Merlin’s red scarf and his boots. So like... dragonlord Merlin with a dragon. (It can be Aithusa, OR it could be one of my favorite tropes, which is Arthur as a Dragon)

Another one is this design:

I think the lake Avalon, with the island and tower, is easier to recognize than the last one.

(The lighting sucks I know)

But the REAL deal are the little columns.

Top left was supposed to be white, but I was asked to turn her blue. But in my mind she’ll always be little Aithusa.

Next to it: The iconic blue butterflies from 5x12. 

THE NEXT ONE IS A REFERENCE TO FANFIC OF COURSE. The Dragon Rises from Footloose, the design is completely from Mushroomtale. We made no money from this, so I just put in the reference. Also, the finished product is always different from the original.

On the bottom left we have Merthur, but like... as dragons. I threw in even more references, like the COIN, Merlin’s scarf, Arthur’s pendant, the scales that look like a crown, the transition from red to blue...

And last, but not least, a bear (with a long tail because as I said, the theme is ‘fantastic beasts’) and a merlin (with 2 pairs of wings because as I said, the theme is ‘fantastic beasts’). For those of you who don’t know, Arthur actually means bear! Also for those of you who don’t know, Merlin actually means merlin! You learn something new every day. So a bear and a merlin.

I hope this was satisfactory and answered all your questions, I’ll tag the people who were curious in the comments.. There are more designs of course, but have nothing to do with Merlin, so I didn’t mention them, but just so you know, I also snuck my OC there because she’s been with me for 10 years and I love her.
