Obey Me! NB "Presenting Perfect Memories" Pop Quiz

So the last Obey Me! pop quiz has come to a close and on the holidays no less T_T

I wrote about each lesson after I played them instead of after finishing the whole event so there may be some plot questions not answered in some sections <3

Lesson 1

First off LOVE the outfits for this event. 😍 They have a great vibe and look good on everyone. Last year's were kinda blah, so glad effort was put into this last event.

Oh no! Memories of Christmas are disappearing!! It is currently not affecting; us, Levi, Mammon, Simeon, Diavolo and Barbatos. Unsure if it is affecting Asmo or not??

The memories are not lost just stored away. You can temporarily remember them if someone else mentions Christmas 🎄 Most people seem to have a 'feeling' still when their memories are locked away. Like Mephi buying presents for his brother for something he feels is important but can't remember specifics of the occasion.

The only clue to a cure is the treat advent calendar from the human world that Solomon bought! Eating the treats could be an antidote of sorts.

Gift exchange planned with Thirteen! 💜 *kicks feet in excitement*

Lesson 2

So we find the store in the human world - can't find more sweets but we find present boxes with everyone's memories in them - Christmas ghosts (?) were behind it!

We also go to a Christmas market with Barbatos and Diavolo (have option to take Dia's scarf or Barb's gloves). And take photos with Santa Simeon with Solomon - a bunch of kids also take photos with him.

The ghosts are mad about only getting to watch people enjoy Christmas so we are cursed to enternal Christmas!

Lesson 3

So we are stuck in Christmas ground hog day (look up the movie if you are unfamiliar its really good :3) and I somehow manage to summon the ghosts to the devildom. The ghosts challenge us to a date competition where they pretend to be one of the brothers. The fakes and reals compete together to see who can pit on a better date.

Also like how Beel and Bel eventually became friends with their fakes - the personality's of the fakes were opposite xD

Ghosts didn't like that the brothers won and try to snarch you. So next option is to beat the ghost up lmao.

Lesson 4

Bottom route - Diavolo makes a Christmas village and we delivery Christmas gifts with the ghosts.

Sparkle ✨️ - we invite the ghosts to spend Christmas with us. Lots of characters inviting you back to their room scenes ❤️ (at least Asmo, Dia, and Lucifer).

Cards

Started off with an amazing Nightmare pull in 'Presents 1'! Got; Diavolo, Levi, and Beel all in the same 10 pull <3

Was not as successful in 'Presents 2' :( I'm always complaining I pull Bel when I'm aiming for other cards but this time Bel refused to come home! Ugh! Mammon was also hiding from me. But I pulled Satan! ... 4 times...

Not surprised but it was Celestial Blessings for the event prizes, which I never do well in. I made it to box A3 (not all awards were collected in previous boxes but pretty close cause my -luck) which is further then I normally get and got the Simeon UR (both images are super pretty! yay one of my husbands!) and the Mammon & Bel SSR, but 'Everlasting Snowflakes' evaded me!! Really liked 'Forgotten Winter Fun' (Solomon & Mephi & Mammon) in box B, but of course that was the last card.

Overall this event was okay. The cards were amazing design wise, but the story wasn't super exciting compared to last years Christmas story. That crazy nightmare pull I got was defiantly a highlight though ^_^

Ok, but this line:

THIS absolutely destroyed me. POOR MEPHISTO!!!

And if this isn't a love confession then I don't know what is.

I mean, Diavolo started talking about loyalty and what not and Mephisto said no, I'm not talking about loyalty or duty here, that's not what I meant. It's more than that, I want to be by your side.

I swear if Diavolo doesn't start showing Mephisto some real affection, if he doesn't at least hug him, I'm going to hit him on the head with a brick. Don't get me wrong, I love Dia!! but this scene with him being completely oblivious (or is he?) to Mephisto's true feelings really pissed me off 🙃

I know the devs won't go for the Diavolo/Mephisto ship route (I'm not THAT delusional) because the purpose of the game is that MC/you can romance them but I hope we get to see some development in their relationship. In the present/original timelime, even after all those years, Mephisto still feels left behind. There was never an amendment to their relationship. That's incredibly sad. And Mephisto deserves better than that.

Mammon gets 100% on a test for the first time, but Lucifer is not the happy brother he was expecting

Mammon laid in his room, sprawled out on his bed and staring at the ceiling. Tears pricked the corners of his eyes. His test was crumpled up in the corner of his room.

He was finally passing the class, and actually got 100% on a test.

But he felt stupid.

Stupid to believe Lucifer would actually be proud of him.

He walked into the house completely confident that Lucifer would at least smile and say ‘I’m proud of you.’

But no.

Mammon was shrugged off. A sorry excuse for a ’good job’ and told to wait for supper.

He could’ve gone to any other brother, but he didn’t. He thought Lucifer would actually say something.

He knew his younger brothers would congratulate him. They always did.

But Lucifer was always unsatisfied.

He thought that maybe today Lucifer would actually tell him he did great. Give him a hug, or maybe just a pat on the back.

But no, he was ignored. Just like every other time.

Why would he go to a pride demon for a compliment anyways.

Especially one that was so much better than him. At literally everything.

His body was now shaking from silent sobs he wasn’t aware of. He involuntarily reached for his phone.

He opened an app and clicked on impulse.

FaceTiming mephi 💜…..

When did he open FaceTime?

“Mams? Why are you calling?”

He snapped out of his trance by the voice of his lover. He moved his phone closer to his face so he could see Mephisto, but Mephisto could only see his eyes and forehead.

“I don’ even know,” he sniffled.

“Why are you crying, darling?” Mephisto looked concerned and seemed to stop whatever it was he was doing.

“It’s stupid. ‘m stupid, everything is stupid,” he sighed.

“You are not stupid. I don’t like speaking with stupid people.”

“Yer jus’ sayin’ that,” Mammon rubbed his eyes. “Can-can I come over tonight?”

“Of course, do you want me to pick you up?”

Mammon shook his head.

“But can ya stay on call with me? While I get ready.”

Mephisto hummed in response and got back to whatever it was he was doing before.

Mammon stood up and propped his phone up on his dresser and began to get ready. Every now and then he’d walk out of the screen and then pop back in before walking back out again.

This was normal.

Very normal in fact.

Mammon didn’t know if Mephisto noticed, but he called whenever he was sad. Most of the time he wasn’t crying, but he didn’t feel great. Mephisto always made him feel better. Even if they weren’t speaking. The soft sound of Mephisto’s pen writing on the paper kept him calm, knowing he was right there next to him. Mammon settled for a black sweatshirt and grey sweatpants, and sprayed on a cologne Mephisto had bought him a while back.

As he grabbed his phone up again he noticed the crumpled up quiz in the corner.

He grabbed it and smoothed it out and then folded it and placed it in his pocket.

He walked out of his room and ignored Lucifer when asked where he was going. He knew it wasn’t a good idea, but he could care less.

He grabbed his keys and walked out, still on the phone with his boyfriend as he stepped into his car.

“Did you just ignore Lucifer?”

He looked to his screen to see Mephisto giving him a side glance.

“An’ what about it?”

Mephisto smirked a little before looking back to the papers in front of him.

“Nothing.”

Mammon started his car and drove out, noticing Lucifer standing in the doorway from the corner of his eyes.

He practically sped to Mephisto’s mansion and almost sprinted inside when he pulled into the garage. He ended the call when he opened the door and ran to Mephisto’s study. When he opened the door Mephisto stood up and he immediately engulfed the purplette in his arms.

He practically melted into his arms when Mephisto began to card his hands through Mammon's hair.

“Do you wanna talk about it?” Mephisto asked quietly.

Mammon shook his head and felt a few tears fall after he realized what had just happened.

“Like I said, ‘t’s stupid.”

Mephisto chuckled lightly and squeezed Mmamon closer.

“It’s alright, I’ll listen.”

Mammon took a deep shaky sigh and stood straight up.

“Can I jus’ chill here while you work?”

“Of course,” Mephisto pressed a kiss on the Greed Avatar’s cheek.

He walked back over to his desk and Mammon plopped down on a lounge couch on the sidewall of the room. Mammon watched his lover immediately sit down and start scribbling down words on paper work. He stared for a long time, he didn’t even notice until Mephisto glanced up at him. He quickly looked away as Mephisto smirked and went back to work.

He laid back down and almost dozed off to the sound of Mephisto’s pen scraping on the paper. When he went to turn onto his side he heard the sound of paper crinkling, then he was reminded of the reason why he came. He dug out the test and held it up above his face so he could see it. He looked back over to Mephisto who was way too focused on his paperwork to notice. He felt tears prick his eyes as he remembered Lucifer’s words from before and rolled off that couch with a thud.

“Mams?”

“I’m good, don’ worry.”

Mephisto hummed and went back to work. Mammon scooched over to the side of Mephisto’s desk and held the paper up. Mephisto grabbed it from Mammon to read. Mammon laid on his back away from Mephisto’s view and couldn’t see what face Mephisto was making. He didn’t want to. He already knew he was stupid and that it meant nothing that he got 100% on anything.

“Babe, is this yours?”

The soft voice snapped him out of spiraling.

“Uh…yeah-yeah it’s mine,” Mammon stuttered.

He turned so his back was facing the desk.

“This is so good Mams, I’m so proud of you.”

I’m so proud of you.

Mammon sat up fast and looked at Mephisto, who wore a large grin. He made eye contact with Mammon and smiled even more.

“This is great! Isn’t this for the class you’re passing?”

“I- yeah…. yeah it is,” Mammon managed to let out, a small grin growing on his face.

“You’re doing so good.”

Mammon felt a wave of happiness come crashing down on him. This was much better than a compliment from Lucifer. Mammon's grin grew.

“R-really?”

“Yes!” Mephisto let out a small laugh before sinking on the floor next to him. “This is wonderful!”

Mammon was frozen in happiness when Mephisto rushed forward and gave him a hug. Mephisto leaned back and began to pepper kisses around his face.

“I’m so proud of you!”

Tears pricked the corners of Mammons eyes and he wrapped his arms around Mephisto.

“This means, so much ta me, babe, ya don’t even know,” Mammon pulled Mephisto closer into a hug.

Mephisto hummed and chuckled, carding his hand through Mammon’s hair. “Was this why you were so upset?”

Mammon nodded, burying his face in Mephisto’s chest. Mephisto chuckled before placing a kiss on top of his head.

“You are doing so great, no matter what anyone says, I’m always so proud of you.”

Mammon sniffled a bit. “Even when I run my account inta the negatives?”

Mephisto lightly pinched his arm, chuckling lightly. “Now you’re pushing it.”

Mammon giggled, sighing in content before nuzzling further into Mephistos chest.

The two sat wrapped in each other for what felt like centuries before migrating to a large bedroom and falling asleep. The test was later found framed in Mephisto’s office, causing Mammon to go red in the face.

❤/Red: What is something Mephistopheles does that makes you fall in love with her all over again?

Whenever I'm willing to let my guard down (which is, sadly, almost never, but that's my problem and not Mephistopheles's) she likes to offer me a warm hug, and we'll just stand there in silence. It's nice to be held again. Like I just suggested, though, I overthink things so much that I never do let my guard down. My head is so noisy with all my soulbonds in it. I liked it better when it was just Bill Cipher, Black Hat, and Mephistopheles in there, but I feel like an awful friend to my other soulbonds for even thinking that. And I can't control what they hear, so they always hear my intrusive thoughts and get either angry or scared.

But yeah, I like when Mephistopheles hugs me! It's just the fact that my own insecurities and her lack of a physical form in this universe mean that I just get sad thinking about it.

Obey Me! NB "Tears in the Devildom" Pop Quiz 💧

Completed this event the first day because I was so excited with the the preview 🤩

The cast was just perfect for this event! Barbatos focus with; Mephi, Mammon, Simeon, Solomon and Luke as supporting characters!

Lots of Mephi and Mammon interactions 💜 (One of my favorite ships so that's cool 😎 ✨️) Loved seeing the two of them bickering and hyping eachother up! 😆

Premise of the story was there was rumors of a ring called 'the Band of Tears' that would gain the powers of whoever's tears activated it. So, Solomon wanted to use Barbatos tears so the ring would gain time traveling powers. However, Barbatos wasen't sure how to cry.

The ring could be two different colours; red or blue. I picked blue cause tears.

Timelines:

In the first timeline (non-sparkle) Luke tries making spicy cookies. They don't work on Barbatos, but Mammon eats one and ends up activating the ring.

In the second timeline (sparkly) we look for the ring in the castle storage. Barbatos is accidentally put under an emotion changing spell that makes him cry. But we use the ring to go back in time and stop it from happening lol

Thought it was really funny how the group was slowly kicked out one by one till it was just us and Barbatos 🤣 - Mephi sleep spell and carried away by Solomon, Mammon and Luke became victims of a bright light spell and had to go wait in the hallway. I forgot what happened to Simeon 🤔 (Simeon was just kinda viking the whole event ~)

Barbatos made us a special cake at the end which was so sweet :3

Another highlight was Mammon tickling Barbatos then getting embarrassed about doing it 🤣

Of please Mephi! You touched something first and were knocked unconscious lmao

I'm really starting to fall in love with Mephi and that worries me...

Was trying to pull for Beel, but Bel butted in again 😤 it is a very pretty card tho so I ain't too mad. And I got two butler Lucifers!!

Sasuke has never really liked this Johann/Mephisto guy (from when he returned with Hinata from who knows where) but this revelation was both shocking and amusing.

"Hn. Is the big, bad wolf suddenly growing soft for little, old me?" he purred before putting on a smirk and leaning close. "I guess you were just too proud to admit...that I'm the more handsome one out of us," he whispered now, winking at him. "But I don't blame you - I guess that comes with being an Uchiha."

This certainly didn't mean he'd forget about the times Mephisto humiliated him...but it was a nice turn of events.

2. Their emotional/moral weak spots 

Elisa loves helping which wouldn´t be a problem if she wouldn´t be that bad at saying no. Because she´s the embodiment of conscience, guilt-tripping her makes her cave in and do things she doesn´t want to do at all. 

Meanwhile, Mephisto easily ignores any kind of consequence or damage he might do with his actions when something looks like it could be fun. He sometimes ends up hurting the people around him without even noticing it,simply because he´s so focused on doing things that he sees as entertaining.

20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines 

What if Elisa hadn´t been born from Mephisto´s conscience but from his irresponsibility? The short answer would be chaos. That version of Elisa wouldn´t necessarily be a bad person but she would use her power to mess with the human world - she´d casually get involved with any kind of important event - politically, economically or personally important events just end up in utter chaos. Some of those messy situations would be caused by her curiosity, some would be caused by boredom.

What if Mephisto wouldn´t have been challenged to the bet? Oh yes, that one bet that he lost and ultimately changed his life. Firstly, he´d be more powerful than he is now and he´d have to endure less teasing as well. Secondly, Mephisto still would be picking fights with the celestial realm just because he feels like it. He still would be that chaotic force that leads people astray because he can. However, Mephisto wouldn´t be able to show any kind of vulnerability to anyone he feels close to, nor would he be able to form meaningful bonds.

yknow what i made this post abt phantom/musashi but what the hell phantom has more hands always

anyways phantom/meph is the DIY youtube tutorial project totally real 3am christine jumpscare mode because meph can be seen by phantom similarly to the false christine that phantom made for himself in shinjuku, however unlike that christine which phantom made to love him while knowing that christine would never love him, mephy WOULD love phantom especially moreso because meph is a character who finds humanity in doing evil and loves humanity above all else and phantom is like one of his perfect examples. in fate when it comes to evil characters theres always two subsets: evil characters who are human and evil characters who strive to be human, and phantom (in phantom fashion) straddles the line between the two categories because even though his insane love is real, hes not nearly as insane as he presents himself to be, even though the mask and the role of phantom of the opera drives him insane it is still very much a role he chose for himself and his supposed evil insanity is a way to try and absolve himself of the consequences of his actions in simply having been a bad person, where erik in trying to act as himself is his own way of trying to take responsibility.

mephy is a character who also had a role forced on him, being that of the demon mephistopheles after faust had made a homunculus in an attempt to make a perfect replica of a human. and he succeeded! the homunculus was to make faust famous and always remembered, so the homunculus in an act of love betrayed faust and killed him, the story of the human who manages to defeat the devil with the power of love being born from that event. now a devil, mephy strives to do evil and seeks to be defeated by humans in order to showcase the value of humanity in conquering their great nemesis. his greatest act of love.

phantom kinning faust and trying to make christine kin margaret is not just an attempt to attach grandiose symbolism to an unequal relationship but very much an attempt at absolving himself of guilt because hes like "its not me girl it's the demons" but in this case the demon (who is also christine) is constantly going "youre soooo right and funny king yes haha queen slay" and it puts phantom off balance so much because mephy would be both christine the victim of circumstance and also mephistopheles the devil that drove faust (himself) to commit evil. phantom wants to absolve himself of his evil and meph would say to embrace it because even amongst the formless dreams that make up his existence thats the surest proof that his love and his humanity are real to quote dantes grandorder "be proud in hell for you are a true human". in order to phantom to overcome the evil of his heart to redeem himself and to embrace his own humanity he would be forced to take responsibility and love meph as himself because theres no more secrets, meph knows him inside and out and they both know it, phantom also keenly aware of what mephy is and how he operates, so to defeat the devil he would literally have to love the devil. and then theyd kiss 💜

anyways i managed to talk myself into phantom/musashi where musashi is phantoms cristine but he recognizes her specifically as not like the real christine who was actually a person that phantom knows doesnt love him but rather the idea of what christine is in phantoms head as this perfect idealized person who never really existed nor actually loved him despite saying she does and combining that with how the one and only musashi who truly reached zero was the one that never existed and the one who despite not existing still loves the world that she wasnt meant to exist in all the same even though her very existance is rejected by it quite literally the stage director who can slip in and out of the performance he never had a part in but comandeered all the same and the vagabond who jumps between worlds she doesn't belong in and continues to love despite it killing her where both phantom and musashi love too much but for phantom its an uncontrollable urge that is outright insanity born entirely out of passion and for musashi its a genuine love of people and worldy experiences that also borders on insanity born from passion and guda/phantom/musashi is guda existing as this person who very much isnt christine and phantom does his best to love them as himself and love guda as themselves and musashi as this perfect master of their craft who checks every box on what a christine should be but the simple fact that she would actually genuinely love him meaning that theres no way she could ever be christine and being faced with the truth that yeah, people can love him for Him where musashi would have a like recognizes like moment of erik also seemingly being non-existent due to the mask and the role of phantom of the opera meaning he cant ever exist individually and yet even if they cannot exist as themselves in tangible permanent ways the love they have for people is indeed real no matter how twisted or fleeting also something something the end of olympus where musashi cuts the void quite literally being her final performance built upon countless useless and meaningless struggles that are not in any way meaningless and her sword reaching the void and dying knowing she will have saved the person she loved = phantoms endless struggles for love all culminating in him dying the moment christine kissed him because after a life of pitiful experiences where his only worth in the eyes of others was in his ability to perform he was finally loved as himself even if only for a moment
