Wild that there's a treatment for plantars warts, some of the most fucking mildly annoying bullshit warts you can deal with, and yet the only reason I was able to get this treatment is because a classmate recommended it to me and I specifically asked about it to the doctor after they recommended the regular freezing treatments that are wildly INeffective. This ointment has a ~75% effectiveness rate by initial accounts, but is only widely used to treat alopecia?

It's wild because just using this stuff correctly can shrink other plantars warts on different parts of the foot. I guess the immune response carries over a bit. I mainly used it on the cluster on my heel but the one wart below my big foot also shrunk even when I wasn't applying it there.

I hadn't used it for a few years and didn't clear it entirely back then, so I'm gonna try and clear them entirely this time around by using salyclic acid as well, I heard that helps effectiveness by reducing the wart skin growth. Gonna keep going until I can't see any more plantars warts.

How come you’re a Jason enjoyer while also hating Tim even though he has more consistency when it comes to characterization and also has more comics as robin than Jason. Tim also has more developed relationships with other characters

Buddy my favorite characters are Grant Wilson (died in the 80's, has not been seen or heard from since Rebirth, and even then only in flashbacks) and Talia Al Ghul (hasn't had consistent characterization since the 90's). I could not possibly care less about who has more content.

For me it's just because on a fundamental level I relate to Jason more. I grew up very poor, my mom struggled with addiction, my dad was in and out of jail, cancer runs in my family, and I got adopted at 13. His story is a lot more meaningful to me than some rich kid who only got his start because they retconned everything about Jason. Praising Tim for traits that Jason ALSO HAD but that dc made a solid effort to erase.

I also just find Tim boring for this reason. XelTalks on YouTube put it really well when he called Tim an industry plant. He was built up on the basis that he's a better Robin than Jason, but not actual Robin Jason, the recklessly angry imaginary version of Jason that's been victim blamed to hell and back. So I really didn't care for him much at all. And it doesn't help whenever he's around characters I like more are downplayed so he can be the smartest special boy in the room. If you have to knock others down so your fav can be on top maybe he's just not that good.

Also Jason has been characterized and deeply affected by the women in his life and his complex relationships to them and his anger about sexual violence in particular is very core to his character vs Tim who right out the gate treated Steph and Tam both pretty badly and he's all around too much like all the reasons I hate Bruce. So.

Made a little fanfic about how Heavy and Medic's first interaction in my TF2 x Beastars AU went down.

If you don't know what Beastars is, I recommend watching at least a little of the anime to get a feel for it (tho' some of the things I mention in the fic will reference certain things that's shown in season 2, so be warned ig). It's on Netflix, but you can also just pirate it if you don't have a subscription. You didn't hear it from me tho' :)

Anyways, onto the fanfic below the keep reading line. It's over 3k words long, and 'cause of that (and how I don't have an a03 account), I'll just use pics instead for what I wrote in order to not go over the character limit :]

John Seed is a comfort character for some people. Folks like to ship him with their deputies or craft redemption arcs for him.

There's nothing wrong with that, obviously.

But I just can't wrap my head around it.

There's nothing comforting about the way John Seed treated Joey Hudson. I don't understand why the ordeal she went through doesn't seem to matter to fans of his.

She was bait for the rookie deputy and nothing more, because she wasn't going to give in and join the cult.

He terrorized Joey and the rest of Fall's End, stooping to the lowest, most inhumane levels to get his way. Some even theorize that he hurt the "sinners" in his care just because he wanted to, for malicious, sadistic reasons that didn't have anything to do with the cult. At worst, some people go as far as to speculate that he raped Joey.

It's easy to see why someone might come to that conclusion. The way he acts is deplorable and he makes everything feel extremely personal, sometimes in ways that can be interpreted as sexually charged. He'll do anything in order to get his way because "no" is antithetical to him. He regularly flies off the handle, so much so that Joseph is threatening to cast him out. All the touching and getting right up in the player's face is so uncomfortable and obsessive (which is the point, but I digress).

So why does he get to be redeemed and venerated by fans? Don't his actions warrant consequences?

Are people willing to let him off the hook because he's attractive? Because he had a horrible, abusive childhood? Obviously he's got a lot more lore than most of the cast. Is that something people are interested in exploring for him over other characters?

I'm not trying to come after anyone personally. There's nothing wrong with liking villains and Jacob, Faith, and Joseph have also done terrible things to innocent people.

Which is like, fine. It's a video game.

And I know that John, like Joey, is a victim of Ubisoft's choppy, inconsistent writing and storytelling. Things got changed and swapped and cut during development that got us to where we are, with the story we have. Flaws and all, not like it was ever going to be perfect.

But in my opinion, I feel like the adoration for John does a huge disservice to Joey. People make thirsty edits of him while she's literally tied up behind him. It's tasteless and makes the optics of her situation look even creepier.

Her pain has largely been ignored for as long as the game has existed. I can't for the life of me figure out why.

i basically have tomorrow to draw up the storyboard for a 14 page comic for a lit journal, edit a full photoshoot, and do some poster/socmed templates based on those photos, bc i have made bad life choices and need to whack all these things out before i travel. in my defense i've delegated everything i possibly can, including a full website and the art for it (though i'm liaising between the two), and half the things i've delegated are landing on people who are doing exams while i'm out of town so they can wait anyway. in not my defense, the photos were taken last year and i forgot which sd card or hard drive they were even on
