Hello, I am an undergraduate student at Kennesaw State University doing a study
concerning transgender individuals and medical interactions they have had. This study is focused on the metro Atlanta area. If you are interested in participating in this study, feel free to reach out to me through direct messages, or through my email [email protected]. I also have a link to a participant interest survey as well so that I may complete the screening process to schedule interviews for this study. Participation is voluntary.
Please reblog this if you can!! I really appreciate anyone who can share or participate in my study!

tips to caring for littles who suffer from:
emotional dysregulation, hyper empathy,
and harsh moodswings !!
Tumblr media
• develop grounding techniques to bring your little back to earth when they spiral. (breathing exercises, hand squeezing, observation games, etc.)
• remind them that what they're feeling is only big right now, and will pass.
• offer reassurance and spend time with them. Do not get angry if your little is easily upset or agitated.
• if the source of the moodswing or dysregulation is removable, try to get your little or the cause away from the other.
• find distractions to help your baby cope. (tv, games, toys, coloring, etc.)
• offer to talk with them about their big feelings and / or listen.
• if they're comfortable with it, take over bigger tasks and set down rules to prevent harm. (Ex: earlier bedtimes, no exceptions.)
• show love towards your little, and communicate your feelings aswell.
• encourage your little to be open about their moodswings the moment they have them. Preventing further damage or fear for both parties.
• if your little is experiencing hyper empathy towards another party, assure them they're a good person for feeling on the other's behalf, but remind them that they're their own person.
• if your little is neglecting themselves for others, step in and stop them from doing so if safe.
As someone who experiences big emotions very quickly, and has symptoms of hyper empathy as well as bpd. I have a hard time distinguishing my emotions, I hope this post helps others like me ^^ feel free to add your own tips on!

if u come at me with a "source" on endos that mentions being transgender, tulpa, or even the word sysmed
im not fucking reading ur source
CDD is NOT comparable to being transgender AT ALL
tulpamacy is a CLOSED PRACTICE
and SYSMED IS ONE OF THE MOST TRANSPHOBIC TERMS IVE EVER SEEN AND NO ONE FUCKING LISTENS TO US TRANSGENDERS WHEN WE SAY IT.
you CANNOT BE TRANSPLURAL. thats NOT how disorders work
you CANNOT make the brain randomly start splitting. CDDS develope AS A CHILD
THEYRE A FORM OF PROTECTION. DID IS YOUR BRAIN BEING TOO OVERWHELMED AS A CHILD TO HANDLE TRAUMA THAT IT PUTS UP AMNESIA BARRIERS TO PROTECT ITSELF. NOT SILLY CHARACTERS IN YOUR HEAD.
ALTERS ARE NOT THE ONLY SYMPTOM OF DID.
and even if in the slightest chance you can have alters without amnesia and trauma, it is NOT CDD
reminder that in the dsm5 it literally says "if the symptoms are caused by a religious practice, or reported not caused by trauma, DID should not be diagnosed"
"oh but doctors are studying endos" THATS LIKE 2 DOCTORS COMPARED TO A MILLION OTHER PROFESSIONALS AND RELIABLE SOURCES STATING OTHERWISE. YOUR SOURCE IS BULLSHIT

i’ve been thinking about this for like a week and i really feel that at least one person needs to hear this. I know women and especially women on this site (less so now but definitely in the 2010s) struggle with anorexia, like there’s just a lot of pro ana content here on tumblr.
One main side effect of anorexia especially over a long period of time is the loss of a menstrual cycle. I feel a lot of doctors and even just regular people will emphasize the possible loss of fertility as a result of starving yourself to the point of losing your menstrual cycle.
However, what i didn’t know until recently, and what i feel no one talks about. Is that even when you’re not shedding your endometrial lining via a period, your body is still continuing to build more lining in your uterus.
Tumblr media
If it continues to grow and grow without shedding, it can lead to hyperplasia, (medical term for when an organ increases in size due to an increase in cell production) and hyperplasia, especially of the endometrium, and especially if left unchecked and untreated, can lead to cancer.
So if anyone is dealing with a health problem that’s causing them to have no menstrual cycle or you have an eating disorder that’s caused you to have no menstrual cycle, consider this your sign to get this checked out, because, i will say this loudly and clearly
I DON’T CARE IF YOU HAVE A BABY, BUT I DO CARE IF YOU DIE FROM ENDOMETRIAL CANCER

i want to talk about how it's OKAY when identities change. this is already an iffy topic within some gender related trans spaces, but I don't think I've heard beings thoroughly talk about it within rq spaces.
i used to be transinvoluntaryhospitalized, a permapatient, etc. I'm not anymore, and the reason is because now that ive been involuntary hospitalized multiple times, i don't want it anymore. this doesn't mean that my previous want for hospitalization was offensive to beings with medical trauma or cis hospitalization experience. at the time I was a permapatient. I had my reasons to identify that way then, and I now have my reasons to not anymore.
I wasn't wrong about my identity either, that WAS my identity. it wasn't a phase (because yes, transIDs are real!! like being transgender is!! it isn't a phase), it was just a state of being i don't connect to anymore.
you aren't 'faking' your transIDs when they change.

I can feel my aft getting dragged back into my transformers hyperfixation
Anyway. I don't remember if it's canon or my hc, but I firmly believe that medibots' "weapons" in TFP weren't actually meant to kill. They're tools are too close range and aren't really effective in battles.
Like, just look at them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Knock Out and Ratchet don't have blasters (apart from two episodes in 1 season where they for some reason do). KO has a drill and saw, both can be used to open a bot up to start the surgery/amputate the limb. While Ratchet has blades (that can be used for the same stuff as KO's tools) and a soldering gun that's meant to patch up the wounds.
And while being a cool worldbuilding, it can also be used to show an interesting theme: the weaponization of medicine/medics.
As medics, they weren't supposed to fight, but to heal with this tools. But war pushed them. These hands were meant to save lives, not to take them. Yet war makes you abandon your morals, because otherwise you'll pay the price.
It's either a good world building, or I'm overanalizing a kids show again lmao

SUBJECT FASCINATION DISORDER
(SFD)
A Medically Unrecognized Disorder characterized by the unadulterated need to investigate and or study people in the likes of a test subject.
People with this disorder oftentimes struggle with their identity due to confusion of interests and self. They may also have a difficult time forming relationships, as infatuation is confused with genuine bonds.

Product Recommendation: Surviving the Respiratory Crud Edition
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Various unpleasant viruses and stuff are going around, and I think I got the mild version - it's not COVID and in my case didn't even include a fever, just a ton of congestion and a nagging cough. It's been a week and I'm on the recovery upswing but still not there yet. The good news is I can forget, for hours at a time, that I'm ill, thanks to taking these products on the scheduled doses. And Robitussin wasn't lying when they said their raspberry is 'better tasting': it still tastes like cold medicine, but is strikingly palatable and minimally cloying (identical taste in both this and the longer-lasting nighttime formula). I can also attest it got me through my bought of COVID last year.
The Throat Coat sweet ginger fennel, meanwhile, is like candy. Naturally mentholated candy, which might feel a bit weird but in a very good way when it's simultaneous numbing your throat and cold-steaming open your sinuses (that's how it feels to me, anyway). Throat Coat does a tea that I'm enjoying, too, which doesn't taste like medicine at all but just a soothing, not-too-sweet but not-at-all-bitter herbal tea.
Anyway, this is a recommendation if you have the time and means to stock up before the crud gets you, and because it was a nice surprise to find cold medicine that's not only quickly effective but also tastes fine.
