THE FOUNDER GAME - CH 2

some of you may be wondering why im posting the ch2 chart the day after ch3 dropped. well you see, i had to start this from scratch 5 times and theres no greater feeling then the realization your canvas is 10 pixels too short. again. that being said, i broke this into two parts because if it was on one page id eat my notebook. so wish me luck on ch3 which is way larger, ill be doing it too. hopefully this is useful, i enjoy trying to help, and ill probably be doing my personal thoughts and breakdown of the founders game soon because this is really really cool :D -Tophat

I think it's really cool that you share your art even when you're not quite feeling it or leave stuff up when you regret posting. It's a nice reminder that not everything has to be perfect and people will still enjoy stuff when the artist has doubts. idk I find it encouraging in a way But also sending vibes that your next piece won't be one of those and you'll get to be happy with it

That is a very sweet thing to say, thank you! Like I don't know, your ask made me think about the reasons why I do post the drawings I'm not super happy about etc. I think it comes down to a few things:

1: I'm stubborn and if I've spent time on a drawing, I want to publish it so that I feel like I didn't waste my time drawing it.

2: I always think about my favorite artists and how sometimes they post things they're unsure of, and how those pieces end up being some of my favorite. Just because I'm not personally happy with it doesn't mean other people won't love it. Like you said, not everything has to be perfect !

3: This part is the part I'm working on the most, but sometimes I just feel like I need to keep posting constantly, even if I'm not super happy with what I'm making. As much as I would like to say that I draw for myself only and for no other reasons, truth be told, sometimes I like getting feedback on my art, I love seeing big numbers next to my art, and I attach my worth to my art a lot (in a "if I keep making art, people will like me, right?" kind of way), which isn't a good thing to do. I'm getting better at not caring about the numbers though, even if it's tough. Balancing creativity and social medias isn't always easy.

Sorry for the ramblings, I just think it's good for us creative minds to be honest with ourselves and everyone else sometimes ! Especially since most of us struggle with this kind of thoughts, and social medias can be extremely alienating in the way that we only see the best version of everyone. It makes it easy to forget that we all face the same struggles.

Either way, I appreciate your good vibes and I'm happy to say that my next piece is going very well! Thank you for being lovely ❤️🫶

Yo I'm sorry, not to be all "kids these days" yet again, but why are >20 year olds so immediately rude to each other and their peers? I work with this age range, because I work at a university, and I have older friends in uni as well who are always around students this age range, and it's just a constant back-and-forth of insults but with "I'm kidding haha!!" added on the end. Like a tiktok comment section, they're so quick to make fun of someone and call them bestie in the same sentence.

I know it has something to do with social media being a barrier when talking to people, it's easier to be mean / you can't gauge people's emotions or tone properly / peer pressure to "jokingly" bully people, etc etc I've heard it all.

I do feel like instagram is notorious for this kind of behaviour. Every comment section I open is just so fucking mean for zero reason. Someone will post a reel about a random topic and almost every comment is just people immediately making fun of their appearance or voice or what-have-you. I don't know when cyber-bullying became unserious.

And I know it's not just >20 year olds. I know that. I can't just blame the youths. But also, that's what I'm seeing. I'm just commenting on what I'm seeing with my own eyes.

It's not fun or really funny for anyone. Fucking be nice to each other, you little assholes.

4. Journey East by hackedepicciotto - very unusual song that haunts me.

5. Atatabitata by ARAGON. I discovered this album this summer and can't stop listening to it, probably the best music find of this year. It's like a Japanese version of Dead Can Dance. A true hidden gem, and I'm so sad that they've only made one album, but it kinda makes me cherish it even more. This song is very uplifting and inspiring to me.
