Might as well considering I actually do have a wip that I’ll probably never finish from the poker date. I was going for Buck ends up thinking Eddie meant for this to be a date, and Eddie did not in fact mean for that because he would have thought of a much better first date than an LAFD poker night.

So now here he is, next to a suit-clad Eddie Diaz, trying not to drool as they walk down the alley to the mystery poker game. 

Buck’s not blind, he knows Eddie's attractive - hell, he’s even seen Eddie in a suit before at Hen and Karen's second wedding - but that doesn't prepare him for how he feels this time. 

It’s just, Eddie’s not usually in a suit, and he looks damn good in it. 

Why does Eddie not wear suits every day?

Not only that, but he’s acting differently too, more charming and confident than usual in a way that almost makes this seem like a- 

He knocks on the back door looking down then back up at Buck, almost smug, there’s a joke Buck isn’t in on, and Buck’s starting to think that maybe he knows what it is. 

“Low stakes game.”

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

I finished this comic about a month ago but couldn't bring myself to post it. It started as a simple illustration and then I just kept adding more and more and at some point I had to stop myself and cut the story short. I'm still not entirely satisfied with the result but... well. I like it. That's enough.
