Halloween. Probably one of your favourite holidays of the year, you loved dressing up in costumes and going all out with your friends. Plus, the party's this time of year were always fun to go to. You and your group of friends would typically go to parties just to watch all the chaos go down and laugh about it.

What you didn't know was that this year; you would be dragged into that mess.

Regina and you had dated sometime in the beginning of the year, the relationship was messy, the breakup was even worse. So, when she approached you at the party you already knew things would become a shit show.

There was a lot of drunken flirting between the two. Regina trying to use that siren song of hers you couldn't resist to lure you back into her arms. The worst part of it all? It was working; and both you and Regina knew it.

"I just... miss you, I hate how things ended," Regina would tell you. Deep down, you knew everything the blonde was saying was a load of bull. Everything Regina had ever told you was. Not once would she say something genuine. But... it was enough to start breaking your walls down. Brick by brick she was getting to you all over again.

"You- do you mean that?" You asked, Regina had managed to get you somewhere more quiet. Away from the loud party sounds so she could talk to you. Clearly though, it was more than just a talk with how she was pressed up against you. Trailing her fingers along your arm.

"Are you kidding? Of course I do, baby. I've thought about you every day," her eyes locked to yours and damn it that was all you needed.

You broke, Regina won.

You could feel her smirk against your lips as she kissed you, the way her hand came up behind your head. Cupping it and pulling you closer. Right back into her arms, as though you had never even left.

outside of the fact that everyone who has sex is murdered by the narrative, this is a surprisingly chill portrayal of female sexuality? these teen girls are horny and actively enjoying Getting It On with their boytoys. no pushy boyfriends sneaking in through their bedroom windows--these ladies are taking the initiative to sneak out and GET SOME. one of them gets laid and then immediately orders her boyfriend to get her a beer. (yes she gets Slashered soon afterward, but so does the boyfriend so honestly, gender equality.) yes the Final Girl is the only one not having sex, but she's not bullied for that, nor are her friends slut shamed except possibly by being murdered by the narrative

actually the only character who is shown being morally condemned on-screen is michael myers. specifically FOR his violent overreaction to other people's sex lives. (people he is spying on). metaphorically, the villain is American Puritanism sticking its judgy nose into other people's business.

but actually the real villain is the doctor. guy's a judgemental, shaming, pathologizing asshole. and he's been in charge of michael's care since he was SIX YEARS OLD? kid never had a chance. i'd go on a killing spree too

also the parents. where are the parents? it's halloween night and all the teenage girls are home babysitting their younger siblings? come to think of it, michael's first victim was his own older sister, whom he killed while she was babysitting him. teen girls are really shouldering a labour burden here. maybe parentification is the true villain

side note: mike commits his first murder wearing a clown costume...which is never referenced again? his 'iconic' costume is a generic mask and wig and jumpsuit, when we coulda had a Killer Clown Michael Myers??? travesty

i like how the Final Girl and her friend casually smoke weed in her car. yeah she's an honor student and her friend is the sheriff's daughter. yeah they smoke weed. so what it's 1978

(to reiterate, mike is 21 and should be at the club. im not saying he shouldn't be rampaging, im saying it's sad that he broke out, tasted freedom for the first time in his life, and immediately snuck back into his childhood home to go rampaging. let's have a remake where he goes to a nightclub and has a few beers. maybe some slutty dancing. then rampage)

In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.

I think a ship in DCxDP that isn't explored enough is Cass/Danny.

I love them, they are so weird for each other. Like Danny is sitting in his dorm for Gotham U and is in full on tinker mode, making a gadget for his super hot goth vigilante girlfriend and he is so in love.

Ghosts mostly communicate through emotions right? So my brain is just like "Danny in ghost form is the easiest person Cass has ever read, she can see the instant where he spots her every time since he practically melts" also, Danny could 100% spot her, and she finds that incredibly attractive, he sees her just as she sees him.

Gimme 20 something Cass and Danny meeting at collage, Cass is there to stop a bomb and Danny is just trying to go to class, he sees her in full Orphan outfit and feels his heart sputter.

Danny full on watches her beat the shit out of a Rouge and has to hold himself back to asking me next (cus ghost instincts?)

He now understands how his dad felt about his mom, how Jack could ignore Vlad since the only person that mattered to him was Maddie.

(He runs in when Cass is struggling to defuse the bomb and does it in like a second, grinning like a fool at her)

Cass was weirded our for a moment but after a bit of research into him (cough cough, stalking) Cass was starting to get a bit attached.

Danny fell first but Cass fell harder, Danny gets little shiny metal contraptions and a batarang stuck into head board, like a raven bringing pretty things to their human.

Danny makes things and solves villain puzzles, the rest of the Bats are afraid Cass got his with something, but no they just match each other's freak.

Danny, getting introduced to the rest of the Bat clan, fidgeting with Cass's arm around his waist and trying to do his Midwestern charm: HI! Um...pleasure to meet you all?

Cass, a grin on her face: This is my twink Danny, if anything happens to him I will kill everyone in this city and then myself.

And like, what if Cass goes down in a fight, Danny is watching on the side lines and the bats are trying to get there in time and come to see Danny, snarling and ripping into the person who beat Cass, fully going a tad bit feral ghost seeing his person (tm) getting hurt
