ok vague lost days Jason & Talia thought I’ve been meaning to share for some time: I am constantly thinking about how much Jason instinctively trusts Talia.

I’ve compared it to him imprinting like a baby duck before because even when he’s in his catatonic state he trusts and recognizes Talia and subconsciously knows that she won’t actually hurt him. And then after his dip in the pit when he’s reeling from grief and anger is coming straight off of a betrayal that resulted in his death he never questions her motives. Even when he eventually clued into the fact that Talia was trying to stall him from killing Bruce he’s like “yeah it’s whatever” and he doesn’t assign malice to her kinda manipulating him

#Jason is crashing out from what he feels is a betrayal from Bruce and he still just trusts Talia at the drop of a hat #He shares even his most concerning thoughts with her easily doesn’t even stop to think hey maybe I shouldn’t be telling Bruce’s ex lover #that I want to kill him she might try to stop me. I always have a soft spot for characters who have a protective streak for another out of gratitude for their kindness towards them, but Charles’ protectiveness towards Edwin really hits a particular way because it’s so so apparent that it’s specifically about wanting Edwin to feel as safe and as comfortable around him as Edwin made Charles feel in his dying moments. I’m going to shatter like glass.

Honestly I understand why Megatron is obsessed with Optimus Prime. Megatron is doing his darndest to run an evil army, but because it's an evil army everyone is constantly betraying him. He tells them infighting is destroying them, heck, he's even tried to be empathetic, and they turn right around and attack either each other or (more frequently) him. Is it any wonder he's almost happy to see Optimus on the battlefield?? At least with him, Megatron knows what to expect--bro will be there to fight him every time. Simple! Consistent! An opponent who's actually in front of him instead of behind his back! What a relief...

In short Optimus is basically Megatron's comfort item and I don't blame him for that
