Just saw the gif set of Siegfried you reblogged on my dash and thought to myself, "What the heck? That guy looks exactly like that man I just followed on Tumblr who has impeccable style." Then I looked at what it was and who reblogged it. And I admit when I saw a post of yours claiming you look like some Siegfried, I thought there might be some resemblance, similar clothing perhaps. But this is unbelievable. What in the doppelganger.

There's of course angles where the resemblence absolutely falls apart (and the actor and I definitely look different clean-shaven and him with his natural hair). But given how my phone thought we were the same man for 2 weeks - something that has never happened to me - I feel like it isn't just wishful thinking that we look similar.

I have mixed feelings about being told I look like a cis man (especially when I see the resemblence), because it ironically spirals me into dysphoria over where I don't "measure up".

Likewise, I have mixed feelings when folks say things like, "plenty of cis men have [feature you're dysphoric about]" because it's rare that such a cis man has more than 1 of your dysphoric attributes.

But, huh. There's something to be said about this one, because the dysphoria demon hasn't bothered me much this time. 😅

I think such a big reason my trans manhood feels almost... bigendered is simply because in the eyes of most people (specifically cis people with whom I interact with most), I straddle this weird line wherein I am a man and often am seen as one, but I am also clearly undefinable insofar as cis theory goes, clearly queer, clearly outside of manhood if one only accepts cishet, patriarchal manhood. This definitely used to be a source of dysphoria for me, but I think now that I've transitioned, it's been interesting to explore this more. Am I wholly a man? Yes. Am I a man of multitudes? Yes. Do these multitudes contradict? Well, that depends on your definition of "contradiction"
