so I've gotten back into writing (a little bit) and have been hyperfixating on My Babysitter's a Vampire for the past couple months, and am writing out the movie and tv series with a Black fem OC who ends up with Ethan (there's a second OC who ends up with Rory b/c he deserves love too). anyway, i want to attempt to give the show a season 3, so that it can have a better ending than what we got

The redesigns of the fang gang post time skip!

So in Blackened Angel, there's a five year time skip after this last arc of Blackened Angel (there's still more content, don't worry) but I wanted to give my redesigns of the characters as well as some facts about them!

Alyssa:

Alyssa had seemingly disappeared for six years with no word of where she was, what had happened to her, and if she was even alive. Her own family accepted the fact that she was dead

So when she shows up at the Devil May Cry office with not only her husband but also her bABY????

Oh, everyone goes fucking WILD

(also cause her husband is literally live action sanji vinsmoke. it started as a joke but now it's literally canon, don't hate the player, hate the game babeeeeey)

All the sudden it's no longer "where have you been", it's instead "WHO'S FUCKING CHILD IS THAT?!"

(because nobody can believe that lyss willingly had a child, which she obviously did)

Alyssa's also much, MUCH happier now. She's had time to grow up, mature, and even start healing from her trauma. Because of that, she's much happier and finds genuine joy in her life

Lydia Coralie Redgrave (alyssa's daughter) is also beloved by everybody, even Erica who notoriously HATES children

Lyss also has much different fashion style now, no longer having an exclusively scenemo style, but also branching out into new things

She's also way more cautious now because she has a baby and she's kinda like Peter B. Parker in Into The Spider-Verse where she's like wearing a baby carrier and bringing Lydia along to missions and everything. It's really cute, honestly

Erica:

Miss Fashionista!!!!!

Erica KNOWS she looks good and she uses it to her fucking adVANTAGE

Very up-to-date, very elegant, very fucking dangerous

Now... Erica isn't a villain type character anymore. No, she's matured and is far more open about her very vile nature towards humans

She's still not strong enough to glamour people, but when she is, y'all better fucking PRAY

She doesn't need it anyways because mama knows how to work it and how to get men to swoon without her even saying a word

She's got a healthy appetite though, and she doesn't only limit herself to men!

(mean bisexual erica alert!!!!)

Erica isn't in a relationship, and actually probably never going to be because I've always read her as falling somewhere on the aromantic spectrum

But Erica is very very happy entirely on her own

Erica is also the most chill about Alyssa's return... on the outside

Like when it's everyone bombarding Lyss about what happened, Erica is stone faced and kinda acts like she doesn't care

But then they're left alone and Erica is literally ugly crying like- full on ugly crying, mascara running, the whole nine yards

Sarah:

One half of the happiest couple in the gang!!!!

Yes, Sarah and Ethan are STILL TOGETHER Y'ALL!!!!

They're also engaged because fuck what y'all think

Sarah has changed the most appearance wise because she now wears protective hairstyles and she fucking rocks all of them

She's also still wearing the little star necklace that's gonna come into play at the end of the current arc of Blackened Angel, because it was the last gift that she'd received from Alyssa, and she thought Lyss was dead

So of COURSE Sarah is pissed when she finds out that Lyss bamboozled them all but it goes away when she realizes that Lyss has a literal baby

And of course Sarah is even happier when Lyss reveals that she wants her and Ethan to be the god-parents

Sarah doesn't want kids of her own because she just can't handle that (unfortunately, she and Ethan still live with Benny and he's basically a pet, so their hands are full.)

But god is she so happy to be a godmom, and YES, she spoils Lydia every damn chance she gets and YES it's cute. She's the type of god mom who will literally buy matching outfits for herself and Lydia and it's just so fucking precious

Ethan:

Still an anxious mess

BUT

He has much better control over his powers!!!!

(also yes, sarah proposed, that's why he's wearing an engagement ring. because women can propose too)

Ethan is the most successful of the gang, too

He works in computer engineering and he's also a professional (paranormal) hunter alongside Benny

I mean... they're not GREAT hunters, but they're hunters!

Ethan literally fainted when he saw Alyssa for the first time in six years

Everyone thought she was dead, so she shows up on Christmas with a husband (who AGAIN is fucking live action sanji vinsmoke. you cannot make this shit up - except i did make this shit up and it's called MENTAL ILLNESS) and a child and he just like- loses it

Like holyshit his first girlfriend is back, she's alive, she's been married for THREE YEARS and she's extremely happy with her husband and daughter?!

Honestly, Ethan is just happy she's alive. Like sure, her having a kid is great and all but... OH MY GOD ALYSSA'S ALIVE?!?!

Of course, he panics when he finds out he's Lydia's goddad because lord knows he doesn't know squat about kids

What he knows about kids is how to barely keep on alive and that's only because of Jane!

But he manages and he becomes a great goddad!!!!

Benny:

Listen....

There's a reason why Alyssa and Benny didn't last

This man has BARELY matured from the time he was 18 until now.

He's kinda like...

You know in How I Met Your Mother there's Ted, Marshall and Barney? I'll give you one fucking guess to figure out who Benny is.

THIS MAN IS STILL SET IN HIS DAMN WAYS

The only good thing is that Benny doesn't blame ALYSSA for the fact that he's too pussy to grow up

Benny, however, was the only person in the gang who knew Alyssa couldn't be fucking dead. She's too strong, too stubborn. She'd destroy the universe before she'd die.

But when she shows up with a HUSBAND?

It's on SIGHT

This man will do anything and everything to break them up and it's honestly... really fucking depressing.

Benny has NEVER peaked in his life, so this isn't a "peaked in high school" bs

He's just a loser

BUT

He's not hopeless. He can and will change with time, he's just...

He doesn't want things to change. He's stubborn to continue living the high school dream that they just never got to have

(he did finally grow that beard though. so one point for benny!)

Rory:

Rory also hasn't changed like... at all

But it's more charming in his case because he's just kind of dorky and chicks dig it

Yes, Rory is now very popular with the girls (and the guys) and he's fully set on the fact that it's because he has "banger shirts"

He literally loves that dumb ass "AUTISM" flaming lobster shirt, it's hilarious

Rory works at a skate shop and he's really into his coworker, Hallie, but way too shy to tell her he likes her

(p.s., she likes him too)

Rory is the only person who ecstatic when Alyssa shows up again

Like, it's not because nobody else is happy to see her. It's more-so because he's still kinda stupid and had no clue they all thought she was dead

He legit thought she was on vacation or something for five years because Alyssa always talked about how stressful things were and how much she wanted a break

It was selective hearing but in a kind of positive way???

And yes, Rory is devastated when he finds out he can't be Lydia's godfather

(mostly because he wanted to be able to make a bunch of "The Godfather" jokes)

But he's also super happy about being the coolest uncle ever

(also Alyssa does actually play wingman to Rory and helps him bag Hallie as a girlfriend. They're super fucking cute together!)

Jane:

Now fully grown, in her first year of college, and also JUST finding out what she can do (she's also an Earth Priestess!!!)

Jane is LIVID at Alyssa for disappearing

She feels like Lyss just abandoned her and Alyssa feels so genuinely awful for making Jane feel like that

They're slowly rebuilding their relationship and Jane is extremely apprehensive of Lyss's husband

Jane is aroace because I said so and only God can stop me

She also has a more bo-ho style and she fucking slays it

Jane gladly takes up Sarah's role of babysitter for Lydia whenever necessary and she's also like the coolest aunt EVER

A lot of what Jane likes were Alyssa's likes, because even though her style doesn't show it, she still LOVES the emo subculture and still goes to concerts for Black Veil Brides, The Offspring, Set It Off, All Time Low, Hollywood Undead, and Bowling For Soup

So much of what Jane loves and knows if from what Alyssa taught her, and it makes Lyss feel like such a proud big sister!!!

Jesse:

Jesse hasn't changed much

He's not evil anymore, and he actually helps out wherever he can

He still has feelings for Alyssa though

Unlike Benny, who's feelings for Alyssa are misplaced, Jesse actually is still very much in love with her

But since she's married, he legit backs off and lets her be happy

He and Sanji get along pretty decently simply because unlike other guys, Jesse won't have a "who's dick is bigger" competition with him

However, he will be at Sanji's throat for flirting with other women even if Lyss doesn't mind

(in her mind, she's the only one who fucks him so who cares, right?)

Jesse also wasn't around when Lyss came back

He was out on a mission when Erica called him and he dropped everything to see her again

Jesse is genuinely very happy to know she's alive, and also that she's married and a mother

At first, he didn't really give a shit that she had a kid. He kinda found Lydia (who's two by this point) to be annoying

But he eventually came to adore her and he's a great uncle

Alyssa's daddy, Dante!

Dante was literally a mess for those five years

No contact with Alyssa, no idea she was alive, his entire world came crashing down

In such a short amount of time, he lost Lady, he lost Ophiel, he lost Vitale, and then he seemingly lost Alyssa, his baby girl.

After that, he kind of retired and let Trish take over for a while. Now, he did eventually get back into business, but his spark for fighting was gone

His baby disappeared and he was terrified of losing anybody else

He became way more protective of the fang gang, including Jane, since he saw so much of Alyssa in her.

So when Alyssa returns and she's alive, he's troubled with all different types of feelings

He's happy that's she's alive, but he's pissed she never even reached out to him

But overall, he's just relieved she's okay

And to find out that suddenly he's a grandfather? That's the best news he could've ever heard!

Dante is definitely one of those grandparents who wasn't exactly the best parent, but is one of the best grandparents and it's so fucking cute. He makes up for all of his shortcomings by being one badass grandpa!

Third Person POV

Athena has been with Benny for four months, and yet all they did to this day was hold hands, share kisses, and cuddle. Now, Benny wasn't a pushy guy. She didn't want to get intimate or whatever, that was fine! He wasn't needy like that. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable, so he went at her pace. It's just...sometimes, he was confused. She seemed so fine one second, and then someone would snap, or yell or say something, and she'd go all tense and quiet, and he would wonder, not for the first time, if she was possibly hiding some dark secret. He wanted her to trust him. And she did, but...not with whatever was hurting her. He understood, but...it hurt.

Lately, he's been asking the vampires about Athena. Had they noticed anything different? Was she acting weird, or was it just him? "Don't push her," Jesse told Benny one day at lunch as Athena stood in line with Ethan and Sarah. "She'll tell you when she's ready. One of my biggest mistakes was pushing Sarah." He added. "That's why I lost her." "Oh. Okay." Benny said as the other three approached.

He spent the next few days sort of...analyzing Athena. If someone yelled, he watched her body language. He didn't mean to treat her like a science experiment, she was just worrying him.

One day, two jocks got in a fight. They were arguing pretty loudly when Jesse, Erica, Benny, and Athena left Math, right there in the hall, and were throwing insults back and forth. Now, usually, nobody would bother, but everyone in the hall felt that it would get violent in under ten seconds, so a girl ran to get the staff, and the taller one suddenly shoved the shorter one into the locker, and he tripped into the metal, slamming into Athena, knocking her to the ground with a slam that echoed painfully in Benny's ears.

At that point, Jesse snarled, shoving the two struggling humans apart as Athena scrambled to her feet and bolted, shoving past the crowd and nearly knocking another girl into the lockers. Benny, though he wanted to go after her, knew he had to let her breathe, and started helping Jesse separate the jocks, still shouting at one another, until teachers swarmed the hallway, pulling them apart. "Where's Athena?" Sarah gasped, eyes wide. "This way!" Erica called, running down the hall at human speed. The others shared glances and followed her into the closest closet.

She was in the corner, knees to her face, crying. "Athena!" Benny pushed past a startled Erica. No one had seen her cry, not like this. "Hey, hey, what--" He flinched as her hands flew up, pushing at him, and she whimpered, "Don't--don't touch me."

"Hey, it's me!" Benny blinked, hurt. She glanced up, and Benny's heart twisted. Her eyes were red and puffy, and she had claw marks on her cheeks, flushed pink, from her nails. "What happened?" Sarah asked. Jesse grabbed Sarah's arm. "Let's give them a minute, okay?" He asked, eyes checking Athena over. As the girls left the closet, he asked, "You okay, Thena?" She nodded. "Thank you," She whispered. Jesse smiled softly and told Benny, "We'll be right outside." He left, shutting the door carefully so it didn't slam.

"I'm sorry." Athena whispered, rubbing her sweaty hands on her jeans. "It's okay. What...what happened, why'd you freak so bad?" He asked. "Does it scare you when that happens?" He wondered. "Sort of?" She hedged. At his curious look, she sighed. "I had an ex. Remember me telling you about Jay?" She wondered, and he nodded. "Yeah, you said you broke up with him because it didn't work out." He recalled. "It didn't, because...he used to hurt me. He would...hit me a lot, and he'd call me names. He was really abusive and controlling, and now, because of him, if something happens--a fight too close, too much yelling, something resembling anger--I freak and have a panic attack." She said softly. Benny's eyes widened. "What?" He asked in a voice that made Athena wish she'd never opened her mouth. "Who...who'd hurt you, you're an awesome person!" He nearly yelled. She flinched. "I'm sorry, please..." She whispered.

"No, no, no, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." He whispered, reaching forwards, and stopped. "Can I hug you?" "Of course!" She said, wrapping her arms around Benny. She sunk into his arms. For every time she remembered Jay's harsh words or fists, Benny was there to chase it all away.

Outside the closet, Erica's eyes watered. "I never knew." She whispered, leaning against the wall. Sarah blinked, and a tear traced her cheek. "I don't think any of us did." She whispered, eyes flicking to Jesse's. The older vampire was glaring down the hall. "I'm gonna kill him." "No." The voice said, and the door opened. "Please, don't." Athena whispered, rubbing her still-pink cheeks dry of tears. "He hurt you, so let me kill him." Erica promised. "Guys, no. Just...stay with me. I need you guys here with me." Athena whispered, eyes watering again. "Okay. We can stay." Jesse sighed. Athena smiled. "Thank you." She turned to Benny, hiding her face in his striped hoodie. For a moment, Benny looked a little scary. His face was cold and flat, and his eyes were almost black. "You, uh...look a little...different," Sarah hedged. He glanced at her. "I...I'm taking her home." He grabbed Athena's hand and led her down the hall. Once they were gone, Sarah smiled. "I know where he lives." Erica and Jesse looked at her. "We're going hunting. Tonight." She snarled, stalking down the hall. Erica grinned, and Jesse laughed.
