This is stupid, but because I kept waiting to be jumpscared during The Penguin with a Batreveal, have what I think was going on:

Alfred, over comms to a rabid Battinson on a seemingly eternal patrol: "Sir, you told me to keep you updated. Alberto Falcone has died."

Battinson: "One of Riddler's groupies got him?"

Alfred: "No."

Battinson: "Was he trapped under rubble or did he drown?"

Alfred: "Foul play sir, he might've gotten--"

Battinson: "Can't talk now, someone's stealing from one of the medicine depots."

Or

Alfred: "Sir, in the tunnels, the Penguin is--"

Battinson: "He's drowning in the tunnels?"

Alfred: "No--"

Battinson: "He's flooding the tunnels?"

Alfred: "No."

Battinson: "Honestly he got the power back in Crown Point which was a relief. I got bigger things to deal with right now. Call if something changes."

Or

Alfred: "Sir, Detective Gordon is trying to reach you."

Battinson: "He knows a family that needs to be relocated?"

Alfred: "No, it appears Sofia Falcone is--"

Battinson: "Mayor's calling, got to go."

Hi Sprunki oc jumpscare BOO!- Mostly made em to fill out some gaps in some town stuff in the AU- Anyways things about them below— They’re still being fleshed out

Princey

45 She/Her

- She is a Doctor / Field medic and runs the town’s clinic.

- Is very nonchalant even in the face of really gnarly injuries or even just at weird situations. Simply just gets to work to treat it as if it were just a scrape that needed a band-aid.

- Efficient and mechanical with her movements.

- Very straight to the point and blunt abour diagnosis but will ask before she states how bad an injury/illness is.

- Either does not get sarcasm or completely does but takes it as exactly said. She will not say if she understood or not.

- Resting “judging you” face but she really isn’t.

- Didn’t have any intent on running a clinic until she was asked to and she realized the town at the time did not have any dedicated medical care. Doesn’t seem too bothered by this, Just sees this as “Ah well I need to, Who else will?”

- Lives a floor above her clinic, So that she isn’t too far from it when someone needs help and to keep tabs on it.

- Very meticulous on keeping things organized to a point where she can tell someone has been in a room because they moved something slightly. Has a catalog of both the clinic’s things and her own belongings.

- Made the decision to keep brud in the clinic due to his multiple conditions and usually accompanies him outside if nobody else is available. This seems to be the only thing so far that makes her openly nervous. So she usually has others do that for her when she can.

- Has a very specific schedule for things she does through a week, for example: 8pm fridays after work are for drinking with Tunner and she has weekends off. She has a hard time doing anything herself spontaneously.

- Has a little watch she checks frequently as the town’s constant daylight disorients her time telling by a good amount.

- Prefers listening rather than talking, usually to her patients but this applies to her friday drinking.

- Has a spritz bottle she sprays people who get on her nerves with. It’s just rubbing alcohol she also uses on her hands.

Glowe

30 He/Him

- One of the Mayor’s assistants, Though mainly appears in their stead. Is very dedicated to this job, is often mistaken for being the mayor but will immediately correct that.

- Very cheery and acts as if he were on a stage- He would be a good stage magician if he had any interest in it.

- Partially blind due to his constant staring up at the sun. Has been doing this even before the town was established and refuses to stop despite being told he’d go completely blind at some point.

- Habitually spins his cane around when talking and/or for empasis, Has knocked things over before but has since gotten good at stopping the spin before things fall.

- The baubles at the ends of his fins glow in the dark, He’s very proud of this fact and its how he got his name.

- Is scared of the dark and sleeps with his curtains drawn and a lamp open.

Therman

30 She/Her

- The mayor’s other assistant, more so a secretary. Handles the town’s paperwork even as the records are digitalized. Still has a room in town hall with the papers just in case anything goes wrong.

- Much shyer than Glowe, would rather work behind the scenes rather than present things. Would probably faint on stage if she mispronounced something or dropped a pen.

- Tends to sleep at her desk because she tends to do her work in one long session and forget to go to her bed.

- Glowe is usually the one who drags her outside her office and probably the only one she tolerates that from.

- Light sensitive so she usually stays indoors, Especially does not look directly at the sun when she sits with Glowe. Used to live in a cave town inside a mountain.

- Can’t see anything without her glasses.

CHONK

This is Executive Eggplant, an elephant seal who looks like a pear. His greeting is 'meerp' and then he's offended why Logico assumed he couldn't talk

Pushing past the glowing stone, Logico enters a dark computer room. And using his intense hacking skills he learned from Deduction College, he tries to find an exit by any means possible. In doing so, he clicks the wrong thing and accidentally enters the Metaverse.

And it is much, MUCH worse than Mauve has been making it out to be for the past few years. It’s basically just low-poly versions of people scrambling around a poorly rendered basic landscape. This CANNOT be the metaverse she was talking about. Can it?? Logico is jumpscared by voice chat.

HONEY: OoOOOOooHHH, it’s Logico!! MIDNIGHT: Didn’t know you played games.

Logico refrains from screaming, as it will reveal his location. But he is suddenly playing as a terrible 3-D model of himself, alongside Mayor Honey and Midnight III.

LOGICO: Quiet. What the FUCK are you doing? HONEY: Aw, come on! We’re just playing around. MIDNIGHT: Heh yeah heh

Logico wants to punch something, perhaps himself to knock him out of this situation. But he has to stay calm. The other men (virtually) run over to a player that seems to be Bossman Ivory, and they all start (virtually) kicking around a (virtual) body while (actually) laughing.

HONEY: ehHUEEehHUEEehHUEEeh MIDNIGHT: Ha ha. LOGICO: Oh my god, what are you doing. [‘runs over’] MIDNIGHT: Oh no, a body. Logico’s going to solve the murder. HONEY: AHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

Logico is about to bust a vein! Somehow, these people he despises are even more annoying as gamer trolls. And he can’t find the mute button.

LOGICO: I am going to find out who that Bossman Ivory character is, even if I have to do it through a screen. HONEY: Good luck!

He spawns a pink convertible and drives manically in a circle.

HONEY: NAAH THE CONTROLS ARE SO BAD! MIDNIGHT: Run ‘im over. HONEY: I can’t!! You kill him! MIDNIGHT: …No HONEY: Come onnnn!

Midnight reveals that the only weapon he has is a Computer Virus.

HONEY: HAAAAAAAAHHAHAHAHAH [wheezing] MIDNIGHT: No. Stop it. [blush emoji]

Honey brings out a giant gun and fires lasers at Midnight, killing him.

MIDNIGHT: Fuck you. I wish I could kill you in real life.

Logico can’t focus on any of this. He has to run around, shooting obstacles with a finger gun to gain MetaBux. And once he has enough, he purchases the in-game Rocket Shoes item, to finally be able to catch up with the high-level Bossman Ivory.

Logico finds him in front of The Amazing Digital Fortress, and lunges. Ivory has been the only one not using voice chat, so he’s certain he’s got shady secrets. 

IRRATINO: THERE you are!

Logico jumps.

IRRATINO: What are you doing sitting around playing video games?? LOGICO: Irratino, shhhh! I’m trying to escape. IRRATINO: Through the computer? LOGICO: Look. This person is acting suspicious, and I need to figure out who they are.

But the Bossman is one step ahead. He logs off. Logico takes off his headset and rubs his forehead, thinking long and hard. He slams the desk with certainty.

LOGICO: Irratino. IRRATINO: … LOGICO: [confident] Let’s go watch some FUCKING TV.

The end!

Finally, the roblox versions of the characters make a cameo.

So I do not usually post about the soundtrack videos since, well, there is not really any other images to show other than the thumbnail. But, with Mayor Grimm’s theme, there appears to be a selection screen for all the soundtracks in game, which is pretty cool. (You can actually see a similar menu in the video of Escape Junction Level 3’s soundtrack.)

Creepy Easter egg, I love it! (reminds me of that one title screen jumpscare from “Really Happy Mouse”, still scares me to this day.)

I love how they look similar to N&Q in the “ULTRAnumb” animatic, with the dark tentacles around their limbs. Maybe they saw the animatic?
