Thinking about how lucky it is that Shen Qingqiu (SY version) never gave Luo Binghe the wrong impression that he wanted a harem.

Like imagine they've having a conversation and Shen Qingqiu makes some offhanded comment about a harem is all well and good, but he thinks it should definitely be of a manageable size, hint hint, with individuals who get along harmoniously and support their primary spouse, hint hint, and marrying almost everyone you hook up with is just bad form because it's inevitably going to cause friction and it'd be nearly impossible to properly look after that many extra spouses, hint hint.

Luo Binghe picks up on the hints but draws the entirely incorrect conclusions. Combined with his previous inquiries into what kinds of women his shizun likes (SQQ, not wanting to ever be seen as LBH's potential romantic rival and eager to free himself of the original's lecherous reputation: I have no interest in any women whatsoever!) and some subtle inquiries about when a person should settle down (SQQ, with unexamined anxiety at the prospect of his dear disciple heading out into the world: not too soon! a man should establish himself well and figure out what he likes first, and take his time!), Luo Binghe concludes that his master has been biding his time and is building up to constructing a reasonably-sized harem of malewives.

Because apparently, Shizun believes that a man in a position of significant power should inevitably want such things. And disciple Binghe isn't thinking of "a position of significant power" as "effective god-emperor of the whole world", his current ideas of such things are more along the lines of "peak lord" really. Also why should Shen Qingqiu make so many comments about how Luo Binghe must surely be anxious to start taking lovers or daydreaming about having a billion wives unless he just thinks that's the standard for everyone? Because that's what he wants?

It was chaotic enough when just one of these guys was bracing himself for the inevitable harem-building, but if Binghe also expected he was going to have to supply Shen Qingqiu with a stable of other men, hoo boy. Binghe telling himself that he's fine with it. As long as he's first wife, Shizun can have others. Getting particularly vicious towards new guys Shen Qingqiu meets, like okay he's resigned himself to Liu Qingge, and probably maybe also Yue Qingyuan, and in those cases definitely having to fight them tooth and nail for primary spouse position (his plan is to become the undisputed master of the domestic sphere and thereby outrank them on that front, even if he can't beat their peak lord credentials), but anyone else is someone he can potentially chase off and Shizun will still have his reasonably-sized harem. If Gongyi Xiao wants into the harem he's going to have to earn it, and he's getting bottom of the pecking order!

Binghe, after they finally get together, trying to have frank discussions about the inevitable harem. Shen Qingqiu putting on a brave face because he, of course, thinks Binghe's talking about his own harem. Getting confused as to why Liu Qingge is suddenly factoring into the conversation. Then reaching entirely the wrong conclusion because oh right, Binghe is gay now and Liu Qingge is extremely pretty. Makes sense! Definitely not what Binghe means but it makes sense!

Actually this would be a hilarious way for bingliushen OT3 to happen. Just a complete comedy of errors where bingqiu are both trying to secure Liu Qingge for each other without ever concretely establishing that either of them wants him, even though they think they have.

Okay but Mocking bird demon SY (has shapeshifting powers) pretending to be SQQ to help LBH. No system, SJ lives, just SY will not let his protagonist be miserable. He optionally also wife beams LQG who is extremely confused and horny as to why SQQ is playing hot and cold with him

i LOVE that idea oh my goodneeees!!! all the shen yuan bird aus are a GIFT that keeps on GIVING!!

as a bird he can easily live on mount cang qiong and get around unnoticed, because what peak lord or disciple is going to look twice at a small, grey silver bird? it allows him to stay close to luo binghe and help him in every way he can, from giving him food he carries in his little talons or beak, singing to him when he's down, keeping him company in the forest, to making silly mimic sounds to make him laugh.

i looked up a little about mockingbirds and apparently they're extremely territorial when raising hatchlings and their nest (attacking even cats, hawks and humans), which is perfect because luo binghe is (definitely!) a helpless hatchling in need of protecting, i mean, technically his wings haven't even properly grown in yet, he can't fly! so cue ming fang and other bullies getting relentlessly attacked when they try to come near binghe.

and then the shapeshifting: from what i've gathered, mockingbirds sing regularely at night, so i can imagine shen yuan waiting until nightfall and shen jiu goes to bed when he makes his move. he dons the master's form, goes to the woodshed, and takes binghe out to train in the forest with a real manual. of course, binghe is immediately enamoured with the man shen qingqiu becomes when night falls, maybe he even starts to think it's a "werewolf" thing where he changes when the moon comes up, because there isn't really any explanation to why the soft words, gentle touches and kind eyes turn into sneers, violence and glares as soon as the sun is up!

bc he does have the protagonist halo, and even in canon binghe knew something was up, i think he figures it out eventually when he starts alluding to certain events that never happened but that his "shizun" plays along with. also the bird has the exact same way of petting his head/ruffling his hair as his night-shizun does. one and one equals two, after all.

and liu qingge yeeeessss!! if in this au shen yuan saved him in the caves as well, he's probably getting such a headache from the complete 180s shen qingqiu keeps making!! one moment everything is great, shen qingqiu is tending to his wounds with such gentleness and a kind smile, and when liu qingge runs into him at night (when shen qingqiu always looks kind of... hurried, for some reason, almost a little nervous), they share a smile and a laugh and one time shen qingqiu even hugged him; but then when liu qingge tries to sit next to him at the meetings suddenly he's getting snarled at, called a dumb dirty beast and to sit elsewhere?? hello??? never mind getting invited into the bamboo house, or shen qingqiu accepting his (dead animal) gifts.

i also think it'd be so really funny if shen yuan ended up not caring about continuation errors or consistent character behavior, and just goes all out on the OCC by being kind to everyone in shen qingqiu's form; flirting with liu qingge, cuddling with yue qingyuan, spoiling luo binghe rotten, gifting mu qingfang all kinds of rare herbs that he can find easily in his demon bird form, and generally being a moon-saint that everyone comes to realize isn't actually shen qingqiu, but since he's doing good for the community and not harming anyone, they kind of just..... leave it. the peak lords have a meeting about it (sans shen jiu of course), and they decide the night-qingqiu can stay.

tho i do think yue qingyuan would ask shen yuan to don a different form.

also also, shen yuan getting up to all kinds of mischief by mimicking other peak lords' voices: calling to disciples with their shizun's voice, watching them get all confused because no one's there?? or making shang qinghua go around in circles because he keeps saying "this way, shang qinghua, hurry up!" in an angry liu qingge voice. and also making shen jiu open the door to no one when he mimics yue qingyuan's voice. there's a LOT he can do with it🤭

hiiiiii so about crow!au and jiuyuan...🙏

i was thinking, after shen yuan has finally made it to the CQM, both for the protagonist and hopefully to cultivate a true human form, it's only logical to keep an eye on the scum villain, you know, to make sure that he isn't going to be filleted into a tender piece of crow meat!

but while shen yuan thinks he's being super inconspicuous, sitting on the roof, shen qingqiu has slowly started to look forward to seeing the crow when he comes back. it's always there, and overall a quiet and gentle creature that doesn't bother anyone, but does seem to like hanging around shen qingqiu's house. maybe in his head shen qingqiu starts to think of it as "his bird", and he starts leaving it bits of food (not obviously, but more like he "accidentally" forgot to bring the dish back inside). he starts getting protective over it too, like one time maybe yue qingyuan comes by and sees the bird, and tries to make it sit on his hand or smth, and shen qingqiu gets all huffy bc "it's just a bird it can't hear you, it won't come to you!"

shen yuan starts to notice that shen qingqiu's mood seems to improve around him (which, huh???), so he plays it up a little bit by flying down from the roof to the porch railing when shen qingqiu comes home, or cawing to him in greeting. shen qingqiu sometimes reaches out his hand to perch on, but though shen yuan never does, it doesn't make sqq angry (sqq knows how difficult trust is to earn), until maybe one day shen yuan surprises them both by perching on his arm, and oh well guess he's the scum villain's bird now??

YEEEEESSSSS JIUYUAN MY BELOVED!!!! Shen Jiu literally just takes Crowyuan with him everywhere after that, with the bird perching on his shoulder or on his arm, or in his lap - there have been many occasions where SY hasn't been able to get comfy so he hops into SJ's lap and uses the man's robes as a nest of sorts. This happens the most at peak lord meetings, because of course SJ takes SY to the peak lord meetings, it's his emotional support crow, and SY sometimes pops his head up from beneath the table and squawks (mainly at Shang Qinghua, who seems petrified of this bird). It gets better when he cultivates a true form because SJ is far too attached to him to let him go at this point, so he just has this beautiful crow guy following him around, clinging to his sleeves and hiding behind him like SY did in crow form before. Of course, he still tries to get comfy on SJ's lap and...listen, SJ lets it happen so it can't be that weird, right??!!? He doesn't like chairs!! They're uncomfortable against his back, and stools just don't cut it for him, so he often sprawls along SJ's legs and reads during a peak lord meeting - nobody quite knows what to say, and they definitely don't want to piss off SJ, so they just kinda let it happen. (Also, if they're enjoying the eye candy, then why would they try and stop it from happening?) Yue Qingyuan is half upset that he's being replaced by a BIRD, and also very pleased that SJ now has a close friend. Also SY just builds mini nests EVERYWHERE, like, all over the peaks, and god forbid you try and touch them because it will mean your death. He gets super mopey when he finds out that his nests have been touched because of course he knows, and when he's mopey EVERYONE knows about it. I like to think that SJ immediately throws all decorum out of the window at the implication of someone upsetting HIS bird...person...thing...WHATEVER!!!

Qijiu from the perspective of literally anyone else is so funny and cute to me.

like the peak lords - Randomly during meets YQY and SQQ start zoning out to..glare? at each other..? well, their two Shixiongs have never really gotten along, it makes sense for them to skip the barely reaching 5 sentences conversation and skip to the hating.

nothing is too out of the ordinary, until the meeting ends and they're the last two left in the room, and maybe it was a gut instinct, or someone left a paper behind, or needed to speak to YQY. but pretty quickly someone is going to catch them kissing

from the disciples point of view. They found out immediately like hours even minutes after they started dating. YQY or SQQ often went missing at nights at their peaks, only to be found perfectly well and giddy every morning. Head disciples began cooking twice the amount of meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. They've been caught cuddling in bed together multiple times and the biggest give away is SQQ isn't being as mean to his disciples anymore.

then suddenly like not even a week after the two became lovers they get married. Because Qijiu likes making their problem EVERYONES problem, Shang Qinghua is struggling to set up the wedding at such a short amount of the time.

it all happens so quick nobody even has the time to try to stop the wedding because what is YQY doing marrying SQQ out of all people??

The way Qi Qingqi would try to set the procession on fire.

OH SO HE GETS TO DO WHATEVER HE WANTS BECAUSE THE SECT LEADER WAS FUCKING HIM?! UN FUCKING BELIEVABLE.

She would have her big I OBJECT moment. She would set SJ’s robes on fire while he was wearing them. She would try to bride switch at the last minute.

Luo Binghe was... everything but happy. He was dirty and had bruised eyes.

His cheeks were marked by the darker streaks left by the tears he had shed moments before and he brushed his reddened eyes with the back of his hand, attempting to hide the lingering signs of his weeping as crying was for the weak.

But he was still fourteen years old and couldn't understand why everybody was so angry at him. He was just trying to train by himself and learn as much as he could!

The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to flee and get far away from the sect, for they couldn't really understand his pain. He just wished to end it all and run away where nobody could see him.

Until Binghe himself saw him.

He never saw something so beautiful, so graceful, and so lonely.

The marvellous angel was sitting under the branches of a tree, reading a book about... maybe monsters and demons. Binghe was speechless.

He ran his gaze along his figure, he was there, totally ignoring his presence, unbothred by the fact that someone was watching him. But maybe he didn't even notice.

He was around Binghe's age and with a second look the young boy noticed he was his shizun carbon copy, but he was younger and... seemed to be softer than him.

Binghe wanted to know more about him, he was curious about that new disciple he had never seen before. His heart was racing in his chest just at the mere thought of an interaction with him. Yet, he should have been used to intersct with people his age.

He took his courage and decided to go talk with him until Shen Qingqiu himself showed up at the place, placing and hand absentmindedly on the young disciple's head. He seemed to flinch for a moment but then rolled his eyes and closed the book.

SQQ: "Don't roll your eyes at me, little brother. Today is your first day and I don't want you to embarrass yourself. Come on, up."

He seemed so angry while saying that, but he extended both hands to the boy sitting, waiting for him to grab them.

He eventually did and got up to face his older brother, sulking.

SY: "Fine but I don't like it here"

SQQ: "A-Yuan you should start your studies, you know that. You don't know yet if you like it here or not. Don't be a big crybaby now."

Shen Qingqiu wasn't impressed by his brother sulking and Binghe was still spying on them while his shizun was gently fixing his brother's clothes and hair. He could see their similarities and thought that he was damn unlucky to have met the most beautiful angel in the whole world just to discover he was his shizun's brother. It would have been hard to get near him.

Ok so — Luo Binghe is happily living his life with his husband, all their problems have been sorted out, the human and demon realms are at peace… and then one morning he wakes back up at the base of Cang Qiong, a child again, on the day he was first accepted as a disciple by Shen Qingqiu. He doesn’t know how to get back to his original timeline, or even if it’s possible, but while he’s here… maybe he can make sure things between him and Shen Qingqiu go better this time around?

SQQ doesn’t like him initially, something he’s sort of forgotten over the years, preferring to think of happier times instead. He doesn’t get tea poured on him though, which is his first improvement, and he isn’t kicked out of the disciple dormitories either. Even his first cultivation manual is a copy that’s less damaged than he originally got!

(SJ still doesn’t like LBH much, but unlike the first time around, he doesn’t have a reason to specifically hate him. Instead, he just sees him as something of a sycophant, at least at first — cunning and ambitious, but loyal enough).

LBH manages to get the job of making food for SQQ again, which means he’s spending a lot more time around the bamboo house than he ever did before his shizun had that strange qi deviation, and it’s giving him the chance to see a side of SQQ he never saw before. He can still see the similarities between this one and his husband — they share a tendency for cutting critique, embarrassment over being seen enjoying something outside their role as Peak Lord, and a fondness for sweet snacks. They’re still very different though, and LBH slowly finds himself falling in love with this version of SQQ as well.

Being closer to SQQ also lets him see his interactions with the other peak lords — especially YQY and LQG, and their relationships are so different from what he’s become used to. He knows that SQQ apparently lost some memories during that qi deviation, since he apparently forgot whatever caused him to hate LBH in the first place, since he’s never been able to explain why to him — but he really must have lost a lot to forgive people that he so clearly doesn’t get along with. Sure, part of LBH is glad that LQG isn’t a romantic competitor any more, but that’s no excuse to be rude to his shizun!

Keeping this in mind, LBH decides to try and avoid that qi deviation that changed SQQ so much. The first time it happened, it was a blessing, but this time, it would erase this other version of SQQ that he’s only just getting to know. So he manages to convince SQQ to teach him how to treat qi deviations.

(SJ goes along with it, because it seems more convenient for him, even if he has to read up on some of the theory in order to teach it).

When Sha Hualing invades, LBH is ready — and when SQQ shows up with injuries he didn’t have the first time, LBH is willing to stand up and take on the first fight against the one-armed demon. Instead, SQQ fights the demon who covered his armour in Without-A-Cure, winning easily. Liu Qingge shows up, just as he did the first time, and that’s where things go wrong — when everyone is distracted by his appearance, the defeated demon charges at SQQ, almost getting him poisoned, if LBH hadn’t thrown himself between them.

(SJ was only just able to save LQG due to his better knowledge of qi deviation treatment, but he still ended up getting injuries in the process, and they hadn’t fully healed yet).

LBH wakes up a day later, in the side room of the bamboo house again, still dusty and filled with storage boxes. He’s met by a Qian Cao disciple who explains that, even though the poison ended up not being Without-A-Cure, he still needed time to fight it off, and qi infusions from a stronger cultivator — like his shizun. After they leave, SQQ comes in and asks if LBH knew he was part demon.

(SJ grew suspicious when LBH was so willing to sacrifice himself, and investigated, confirming the poison was actually Without-A-Cure, but he didn’t tell Qian Cao that. From the way he just fell ill from it, he knows that LBH must be only part-demon, although he doesn’t know how much, or if he knew if the poison would affect him or not).

LBH pretends he didn’t, drawing on his memories of the first time he learnt about his heritage, and it seems to convince SQQ. He tells him that he can stay in the sect, but only as long as he can hide his heritage — and if he decides to learn demonic cultivation, he should come to SQQ instead of seeking out any strange old masters who claim they’ll show him the route to power.

(SJ rationalises this as just a way to pay back the debt for LBH saving him from Without-A-Cure, and also a potential way to test out some of the theories about demonic cultivation. Over the next few days, he doesn’t get the chance to sleep, between the chaos resulting from the demon invasion, and the presence of LBH so close to where he sleeps. One day, just before LBH is meant to go back to the dorms, he finds himself collapsing onto his bed out of exhaustion. Rather than the nightmares he’s become used to, all his dreams are peaceful.)

Sleeping closer to him, LBH can now slip into SQQs dreamscape to take a look. The SQQ he married had strange dreams, absurd really, that mix things he’s never heard of with reality (what is a ‘microwave’ and what is it doing in his kitchen???), but this one has nightmares. Even from just a few glimpses, he can tell why SQQ might have wanted to forget those memories, to pretend they didn’t exist, so he pushes them away and replaces them with happier memories instead. A few days of peaceful dreams later, SQQ tells him he can stay in the side room, because ‘it will make cooking easier’.

(SJ still isn’t really sure what to think of LBH although he’s slowly starting to care about him — very against his will)

The Immortal Alliance Conference is coming up, and LBH has a difficult decision to make. He doesn’t exactly want to go back to the Abyss but… if Tianlang-jun gets free again, won’t his plan to unite the realms be the same? If he can find his way into the Abyss and claim Xin Mo before LBH does… no, it’s better for him to take it, to hide it away somewhere. Xin Mo may be considered lost, but there are still stories about where it could be found, some of which he knows to be accurate.

(SJ isn’t sure why his new head disciple seems so worried about the Conference, he’s sure he’ll do fine — he’ll even bet on it, and get some money out of all that work training him that he put in. It’s just a simple competition — what could go wrong?)

Disciple Shen yuan au, but he transmigrated as a pre/early arc reader of pidw. Say in canon he transmigrated at like 22, if pidw was written over the course of a couple of years he might be in his late teens. Innocent pre cucumber era where he had high hopes for pidw and hasn’t totally been stomped down by health issues and frontal lobe development

This is heavily inspired by Sy’s temp transmigration system because it’s a great fic and I love it but I can’t get it out of my head of what if situation is basically the same exept he hasn’t read pidw yet

Maybe he realizes he’s in a book, maybe he even realizes it is pidw (still in early stages, MAYYBE became more mainstream recently due to the start of the abyss arc) based on just seeing things online. But he doesn’t have the same biases about what the characters should be like or the foreknowledge of all the native life

I’m torn between him being the only Shen yuan there so there can be disciple bingyuan or to make cumplanes relationship more interesting by putting in not only another transmigrator, not only one that doesn’t know the world, but one that is literally the (to them, sy would kick anyone who called him this) child version of the most beautiful intelligent cunning bordering cruel wife of the emperor that lbh and sqh have gotten to know

Not only that, but I think it would be really funny if without the bias towards binghe as his blorbo since he hasn’t read pidw yet takes one look at lqg and is just standing in shock (UUUGGGHH FEED MY MULTISHIPPING TENDENCIES) but you cannot tell me he wouldn’t have a big fat crush on him. I think it would be really funny if he also is automatically drawn toward lbh and I think he would be absolutely ecstatic about it but would prob get scared away by their pda after like a week and a half

I also think it would be soooo funny if bingyuan end up adopting teen sy and find out about it and approach him like ‘you are NOT dating that BRUTE’ or some shit and he’s like huh?? Wdym?? I just think he’s really cool for when he saved me that one time and when he let me fly on his sword and gave me a cool fan and also I like watching him train and he’s just objectively pretty anyone would admire a face like that how could I not but Id never want to date him he’s a guy!?!? I’m an ally but I’m obviously not gay??? And bingqiu would just sigh and shake their heads and try to keep him away from lqg

And I think it can also be an interesting point of introspection like if I never met binghe would I really be with lqg? If I didn’t get to shizun first would lqg have stolen him away from me? I think on sqq’s part like so much of what sy does is a source of (first hand? Second?) embarrassment because ohh wow I was an annoying kid or oh my god why is teen me staring at him so much this is embarrassing I have a husband what does this say about me. And for binghe it can become a place of insecurity like if I never came along I’d this how it would end up if I never made it out of the abyss what if shizun leaves me for lqg has shizun ever thought of him that way what if what if what if what if

And i think sy would have an interesting relationship with sqh if he was still in the process of reading the early arcs when it was still mainly exposition and he’s already gotten a taste of the plants and monsters and plot set ups but it hasn’t gone downhill yet into fan service. He would totally gush about how much he’s interested in the story and share his theories and hopes for it and they might even end up brainstorming for another book for sqh to write together. And I love the idea of sqh not only being older post transmigration but also pre like he was a full adult when he STARTED writing and sy was a teen when he started reading and sqh just has the realization of ‘wow I was like 26 beefing with a high schooler online’ but also the fact that sy LOVED pidw pre fan service like you don’t stick with such a long and shitty story if you weren’t obsessed with it at some point. And I think it would give sqh a new perspective on sqq’s criticisms and upset about how it went. Yeah, he chose to keep reading, but he chose that because he had faith in the world airplane created and the character he loved.

He would like immediately out himself as a transmigrator because he went to the new kid ceremony thingy overheard cumplane being dumb and had a really obvious reaction bc wdym these two fantasy men are talking about miku in English in public out loud like what is happening here so they catch on to that, sqq accepts him as his disciple and the three of them have tea together and their interaction goes something like

Sqh: so you’re a transmigrator

Sy: uhm I guess so

Sqh *to sqq*: psst Shen yuan bro (or something clearly Shen yuan) say something

And that’s how they find out sqq and sy are the same person they eventually figure out timeline and stuff and sqq is like oh my god this is a child but also child me without pidw knowledge I need to keep him away from any trouble including plot, kidnappings, dangerous beasts, and mystery plants and obviously the most effective way to (not) keep him safe from this is adopt him BINGHEE COME HEREEEE we’re adopting this one now also remember how I came from a different world yeah this is technically me when I was a teenager before I read your story so he has no knowledge of this worlds dangers or customs we must protect him at all costs binghe locks eyes with him and the internal monologues are going in completely different directions binghe is cooing and brainstorming ways to booby trap the house so he can’t leave and sy is just gazing into his eyes like wowww what an objectively handsome guy yk his muscles are very big his hair is very big his eyes are very big,,,, I want to BE him I def don’t want him I want to BE him,,, gym goals fr,,, then he asks who he is and lbh’s like ‘oh my qingqiu’s husband 😊’ and sy just passes out on the spot

I also get the vibe that he would not be a very horny teenager like he might catch himself looking once or twice but I mean sqq didn’t really care about the porn in pidw so either he’s very particular or he’s very time and place so I don’t think his inner monologue for pretty people would be as body oriented as sqq’s is. I also want him to take a liking to yqy since he’s just like his older brother back home and sqq is like ‘no get away from this bad man’ and sy is all ‘but he’s so nice to me 🥺 he doesn’t mean bad’ like bro doesn’t know the lore also he would maybe not quite wifebeam but he would endear himself to like every single peak lord immediately.

I like to think he’d keep his body p much plus dianxia robes And the story is that bingqiu found a magic plant and made a plant son using bingqiu qi or something idk so that’s why they not only suddenly have a kid, a kid that looks similar to sqq and acts pretty similar to him but has no idea about anything in the world. These people think he was born yesterday and they might as well be right with how little he knows about the world or it’s customs

I know i wrote about Sqq wingmaning HuaLian and Wangxian but he's not exactly better than them, he's just good at hiding it

So, here's how his first enconter with Wwx went

After he stopped screaming, Wwx pulled him out of the earth and gave him some spare clothes (Definitely not Binghe's and definitely not on purpose) he was trying to act as if he didn't know what was going on but it didn't last long, stupid reflexes "So... How should i address...?"

"Shen Qinqiu is fine, i'm not exactly a peak lord anym-..."

"... I'm sorry, was your identity being hidden?" Wwx asked, as they started to walk down the mountain, he has drawn a teleportation array in the nearest town

"You must know what happened when i passed, don't you?"

"Oh, yeah... Ge has been very affected by it, that's why i'm here after all"

"Your ge?" As Sy was considering his chances of being able to run away succesfully now, Wwx sighed

"Yes, my ge, you see, he's been really sad since you died, so i've been searching to make my ge happy, and now you're here so!"

Just who the fuck was this man? Someone he knew? Yue Qiyuan? He had a close relationship with the original goods but not sibblings like this definitely, ah, perhaps it was an admirer? Still, how did this person find him? "May i ask... How, exactly?"

"Oh! That's easy, look here" Wwx pulled a the soul compass out of his sleeve, Sy looked at it for a second before staring at the man again "This is a soul compass, it can direct you to someone's soul after certain conditions are met, it's not perfect yet, but nine out of my ten tests have worked, even when someone changes appearence"

"... And it pointed you to me...?"

"Exactly!"

Sy sighed, fine, there was very little chance of him getting away, but- "System?" He mentally asked out of habit

Radio silence, he was met with nothing, so that wouldn't work either "Can i ask how you can be sure you didn't get the wrong person?"

"Well, you said it was you, and also when i searched for Lord Shen Qinqiu, i needed to know what the appearence looked like, so i look a peek at your corpse and-

Sy internally yelled AT MY WHAT?! "Aside from that, you do look quite a lot, even in this uh... Other body?"

"Ah, but surely there's a lot of people who look like me?"

"... Not really actually, my ge made sure of that"

No, really, was there no way for him to scape?, just who was this guy's brother?! "If you really want to know, there's one more thing"

"There is?"

"I initially got two signals, but one was too close to ge for it to be and also, someone came and told me which one was more likely"

Sy didn't like where this was going "Who would that be...?"

"One of my ge's underlings, oh right, he told me to tell you something when i found You"

Sy reapeted the please don't be mantra on his head when Wwx talked again "He said 'Sorry Cucumber-bro, i still want to live'"

He was going to kill that hack author for real this time! First of all, they didn't ask you! Second, a little bit of warning could've been appreciated for such betrayal! And third, even if he was going to be found anyway, he could've liked they help here! Also, this was A-Ying wasn't he?! "... I see"

"I will thank him later, oh, Ge probably also will" Sy is SO dead, he's so, SO dead! A-Ying is taking him to Binghe isn't he?! Was his dead not enough to end with the resentment?! Did he want to be the one to finish him off that badly?!

He laughed nerviously, maybe he could get along with A-Ying and he'd take pity on him? Did this child even know why Binghe wanted him?! "Is that so? Who could've thought he still wanted to see this old man"

Wwx laughed at that, did he know? was he a sadist? "Of course ge wants to see his master, he's barely thought of anything else since he found me and Hong-er"

Binghe, please remember he was good to your little brothers too! "Really? But this old man doesn't have anything else to teach him"

Wwx snickered at that, and Sy was starting to seriously consider he might be a sadist "Oh, no, no, he surely thinks there are a few things"

He might regret it, but- "Do enlighten me please"

At that, Wwx looked at him confused for a second, before an idea apparently clicked on his brain, his ge said his Master wasn't good at taking indirects, was he? Oh, well, maybe he could help a bit "Like... How to kiss!"

Sy froze for a moment "E-excuse me?"

Wwx nodded solemly "And to hold hands, and how to plan dates, ah, but i think ge might already have a few ideas"

"Wouldn't... Shouldn't he have dozens of maidens he can do that with?"

Oh, was that the problem? Was his ge's Master not aware that his ge was a cut-slevee?"Why would he go with someone who he doesn't like?"

Sy really wanted to ask, why would he go with me then? But instead said "Then shouldn't he go with a young maiden...?"

Alright, he was doing this, Ge was going to owe him a big one here"The only person ge likes- no, loves, is Shen Qinqiu"

Sy didn't really believe him, but the seed planted blossomed when he saw Binghe again

Wwx had taken him to a palace underground, pretty much left him to his devices with someone to keep an eye on him so he wouldn't run into anything dangerous, and went to get his brother

The person watching him was luckily for him, Airplane shooting up towards the sky

The person having to watch over the recently found Shen Qingqiu was, unfortunately for him, Shang Qinghua "Bro i can explain!"

"Explaining My ass! You sold me!" He yelled, running behind him with a newly acquired fan that Wwx bought him in the city, or more exactly, picked out, threw his way, and put into his brothers "tab"

"I wanted to live!"

"You didn't have to say anything!"

"It's for your own good! Listen here, he was already searching for you! Do You know why?!"

"Because Binghe wants to kill me, that's why!"

"What?! No! He actually-"

"... Shizun thought i wanted to kill him...?" Asked a voice that was holding just by a tread, a voice that Shen Yuan recognized in an instant

In the moment it took for him to turn around, Wwx grabbed Sqh and run out of the room, but stayed in close vicinity, he wanted to see how this went "I..."

"Shizun..." Binghe slowly made his way over, and Sy couldn't help but back away "So, Shizun really..."

"This Master..." He sighed, if Binghe really wanted to kill him this might've been easier "This Master knows what he is deserving of, that's all"

Basically, Wwx wingmaned and speedran Bingqiu kind of on accident

The only reason Sqq didn't actually run away completely is because he's starting to doubt himself thanks to Wwx, because well- could he be right...?

And Binghe is calmer thanks to him too, yes he's still been grieving for 5 years, but for 3 of them he's had two people who do love him by his side and who are good at dealing with demonic energy overall, so Xin Mo didn't make as much of a mess of him as in canon (It still does, is just kinda delayed)

An extension to the PIDW x Ever After High AU

The first post was pretty short so I'm going to put it here too.

For clarity, the 'parents' in this AU are the OG PIDW characters, and will go by their courtesy name, and the children are an AU version of them and have their birth name (so SQQ is the parent and SJ is the kid, YQY is the parent and YQ is the kid, LBG, is the parent, and  LBM is the kid, or at least a more mentally stable version of Bingmei? etc) 

SJ is pretty much fanon SJ, and a very mellowed out version of him, since in this AU, he didn't end up as a slave. Still traumatized tho. I like my Shen Jius traumatized. Shen Jiu is Raven in this AU, and he DOES NOT like his destiny. That's putting it lightly. NO ONE is happy. YQ doesn't want to be forced to abandon SJ and go through a horrifying qi deviation in the Lingxi Caves. And have his little brother's severed legs be sent to him as a present one day, and walk to his death the next. Yikes. Liu Mingyu doesn't want to die prematurely and have his shixiong be falsely accused of his murder. And Binghe doesn't like it either because he had a better childhood too, and is, well, disturbed, by the shit his father did, and the fate that's written for him. Binghe has his issues and he's that one quote "My father is the worst man alive and I am his favourite son". Like he knows the shit his dad did was completely unhinged. Him and the Book of Legends bear most of his hatred, and he never really has anything against Shen Jiu.

Everything just sorta revolves around everyone finding out what kinda person 'Shen Qingqiu' really is, along with the defying destiny thing Ever After High had going on. All the kids are just getting along far better than any of their parents did. The other mxtx characters are in here too, Wei Ying, Lan Zhan, Wen Ning, etc. 

LBG is totally going to be here too. He's acting all creepy towards SJ, like this mf is so close to tearing his off limbs too, and he's really tryna hold himself back. And he's fully planning to torture him too once his son puts Shen Jiu is the water prison because his SQQ is already dead. When he sees SJ in the flesh, he's eying him in a way that screams "I'm going to own you and there's little stopping me from having you in chains like your father." SJ is not so subtly hiding behind LBM, while LBM is so ready to fight his father to the death for SJ. 

The OG PLs from PIDW will definitely have some fucking regrets and will try to make it up to SJ coz the person they actually wronged is long dead (or is he?). And the peak lord kids are running interference everytime their parents want to get close to SJ, with maybe the exception of SQH and LQG. OG! LQG is alive because. Well I'll think of smt later. Plant body revival???? 

QHT has a son and a daughter who are supposed to be QJL and QHT, as is their so-called destiny. During Legacy Day, the kid that's supposed to end up like QJL sees flashes of his uncle's life and ofc he'll end up seeing the abuse SQQ endured under him. It is at that moment, what really happened in the Qiu manor was revealed. QHT's son is actually a chill dude who hates his destiny too and hates his uncle even more. SJ and QHT's kids are cool with each other, and this pisses off QHT so much lol.

Now more onto SQQ.

This mf is ALIVE and KICKING. And by that I mean he absolutely did pull mushroom body getaway and did some serious demonic cultivator bullshit to animate his dead body like some voodoo god. LBG was straight up torturing a corpse lol. SQQ originally didn't want to sign either but decided to do it anyway because he knew LBG definitely wanted to. SQQ thought that he should legitimately try to kill him so he doesn't turn into that. SQQ knew that ofc he would ultimately die in the end, but thought his villain halo could still try to do some damage to LBG, and to prevent his rise to power, and work against the destiny he signed at the same time. Obviously, the protagonist still had to come out on top and SQQ failed miserably. So. Mushroom getaway>>

Listen, those mushrooms were obviously supposed to be used in the OG PIDW. and somehow weren't iirc. And it was supposed to be used by a villain. So yes, SQQ's generation does end up being PIDW complacent. Except SQQ is a smartass and is living his life away from any destiny bullshit rn.

SJ/LBM will reunite with SQQ.

SQQ will end up liking LBM but he's still a mother hen, so he'll be giving him a really hard time before he's ready to let him anywhere near his son.

SQQ was separated from his son until this point. The name SQQ meant to give him was Jiu, as in turtledove. Which has this whole meaning of 'enduring love'. He meant for SJ to not turn out like him and to live out his best life despite what life throws at him. I absolutely love the fics where the author makes the Jiu in Shen Jiu be the character for turtledove. And with SQQ-J taking care of his younger self in a way. SQQ and SJ are going to have the fluffiest father-son relationship because I deem it to be so. Unlike LBG and LBM, my badd:/ Have fun with those daddy issues, buddy.

Within the chaos that is SQQ's mind, he really did not regret doing what he did to LBG, but y'know, having some time to himself while he was on his sabbatical, he learnt a few things about himself, and how he used LBG's future self to justify trying to kill smn who otherwise didn't do anything wrong (yet). And the fact that things could've turned out better if he truly went with his heart and hadn't signed the book like his son will HAUNT HIM. Sure LBG may or may not have wanted his destiny but SQQ definitely didn't!! He could've fucked up his story by not signing it just the same!! This is totally not eating him up alive!! Yup!! He just haddddd to sign it and thought be could kill LBG to avoid future devastation. Said future devastation still came to pass lol. RIP SQQ's sanity, I truly feel for you.

Let me make this worse. LBG didn't want to sign it either and was peer pressured into doing it. He genuinely thought he could reason with SQQ after Legacy Day and tell him he really didn't want them to hurt each other. And he was so sure SQQ felt the same way, he could've sworn they were on the same page- but then he saw how determined SQQ was to sign the Book of Legends on Legacy Day. And when SQQ's hardened gaze locked in on LBG, he met SQQ's eyes, promising a future of pain for them both. LBG ignores the way his heart shatters at the resolution.

Look, enemies to lovers BingJiu is fine and all, but consider LOVERS to ENEMIES BINGJIU!!! I'm just imagining BingJiu animatics in head with Taylor Swift's Bad Blood egckfxv.,

Coz yes, even the prev B9 gen totally had smt going on. Too bad for them tho, it ain't happening.

Imagine how fucked up it would be if Shen Jiu is up there doing the book signing ceremony that seals his destiny of becoming the next 'Shen Qingqiu', and the mirrors display him getting thrown away by his martial siblings at the trial, and his limbs being torn off and other despicable tortures, and being brought down so low that your humanity is stripped away from you, all for an audience to see. And they cheer. The crowd is ecstatic, perhaps even more so than when his father, Shen Qingqiu, was put on trial.

Shen Jiu is barely 15 when this happens and every goddamn person is reveling in this child getting tortured. Amidst the sea of people who loathe him, there is one person not advocating for his death, and that is LBH’s son!! The very person that’s supposed to kill him!!! When LBM sees the same hopelessness that he feels in SJ’s eyes, he decides at that moment that he will be SJ’s number one defender. Everything else be damned. When SJ announces that he will not be pledging to a life of misery, LBM gets up on that stage and makes it clear that he won’t either.

i wonder if there was ever a chance of shen jiu and liu qingge geting along. like, did liu qingge think sj was like a pampered master? but there are clear differences between people who were born to wealth and who got it later (at least i think so), so shouldn't he be able to tell the difference? and besides that, i don't think that besides his appearance, sj got many "young mastery" things going on

that is to say, i wish that there was ever a chance of seeing them interact more. sj might be intentionally awful but lqg just unknowingly dropped bomb after another (like when they were choosing the desciples. or maybe knowingly but he was not aware of the real efect he had i guess)

i'm trying to think about it and i don't think they could get along without like reliable third party. sj would never admit it if he had non hateful feeling towards lqg (i doubt he would like recognize them. i think the real link sj and sy had was the amout of delusion and self gaslighting they were able to subject themselves to) and lqg seems like he would just not care if it was a person he disliked (sj in question)

but that dislike is grounded on misunderstaning and lack of like, heart to heart? (writing that with them in question made me cringe. one tries to not have a heart and the other is very particular who he shows the hart to and drop kicks the rest)

but that seems to be like, every relationship in here, and usually it takes one party to die (or die several times, yes sqq im looking at you) and many years for the truth to come up. every except moshang? i am yet to read the official extras but from what i remember it went well for them. truly an author of the story, using his godly powers to avoid dying before getting his feelings out there

sqh is abruptly reminded that he is talking to lqg, a man who probably would be more interested in people if they punched him in the face.

"hahaha thanks liu-shidi but maybe not i think yue-shixiong could probably kill me if i tried," says sqh and scurries away.

fast-forward a week or two, in which sqh is having a stressful time. maybe it's tax season. maybe it's a shitty night hunt that he has no business being on. either way, yqy is there with him and good god is yqy zoned out.

is yqy actually zoned out? eh, maybe not. perhaps he is actually fully paying attention, but also he takes a look at a stand for fans while sqh is talking to him and sqh is like "shit, is this sqq again?" exasperation turning into anger while sqh is just, super stressed, and he just needs yqy to pay attention to him just this once, and the thought occurs -- well, at least two separate people have told him that he just needs to hit yqy --

Their extras hurt my cold dead heart way too much and as much as bbygirl SJ is a piece of shit, Yue Qingyuan deserves happiness, and for that he needs his Xiao-Jiu. Basically YQY does not stay dead when Bingge turns him into a pincushion à la White No Face to Xie Lian except with arrows. What happens from here? Idk didn't get that far but I imagine he steals back his (probably dead) Xiao-Jiu, maybe does some other batshit insane shit like we all know that deep down he's capable of, and the duo fucking COMMUNICATES for once in their life and they live happily ever after. Bonus points for hilarious deaths for Bingge.

- If you're a filthy multishipper like me, want a BingJiu version of the above QiJiu? Easy, SJ decides to haunt Bingge's ass for eternity and vice versa when Bingge kicks the bucket and so they spent the rest of eternity trying to make each other miserable in increasingly ridiculous and creative ways. Maybe along the centuries they find a common enemy or sort their shit out and proceed to make their awful existence everyone else's problem. A match made in hell, truly <3

Are you seeing a theme yet. I like a general comedic air to svsss AUs, it just belongs to the svsss experience ya know? Anyway carrying on-

Shen twins, and SQH twins cause why not. If you want Binghe twins too, actually probably funnier with Binghe twins, where one is our beloved maiden Bingmei and the other OG!PIDW Bingge but forced back in time with memories of the PIDW timeline. Transmigrator SQH aka Airplane gets the peak lord + Mobei-Jun plotline while OG!SQH is just chilling as an An Ding Peak Hallmaster or something. Meanwhile, the Shen twins have a funny game of imposter going on. As far as everyone is concerned, there is only one Shen Qingqiu, Shen Yuan. Shen Yuan transmigrated in earlier into the novel, but ended up going to CQM with Yue Qi while SJ got stuck in the Qiu household as in canon. From here the details can change but the main idea is that

A) Shen Yuan knows how to do his peak lord job actually

B) SJ is a calamity ghost, having died either in his disciple years or alternatively never made it out of the Qiu household alive

C) Both SY and SJ have been playing switcheroo when SY needs to head out and do stuff or just wants SJ to do his paperwork for him.

I still need a good reason for the switching and duping, but wouldn't it be funny if the disciples just had to deal with their peak lord behaving WILDLY different at times. Most of the time it's good ol' Shen Yuan smiling at disciples, way too enthusiastic for monsters and plants and keeps forgetting his fans everywhere. Then one random week in the month after he has a resting bitch face, scowls, snarls and bitches at anyone and has 0 patience for teenage attempts at music.

Most shrug it off as just terrible migraine weeks, but some disciples are suspicious, most of all Bingge who is CONVINCED something is WrongTM. Like, he KNOWS SQQ and this SQQ is just so different, something must be different. He doesn't know how right he is yet everyone just thinks he's actually insane.

I know this is probably increasingly insane and dumb, but fast forward to the Abyss opening. SJ was probably there to keep an eye on his clumsy twin, but SY ends up asking the ghost to look over the Luos, as the system still demands that they go to the abyss. So SJ after much grumbling agrees (after all he probably just was unmasked as ghost calamity, and the twins as demons, with a huge amount of cultivators moving their way. It's really the smaller hassle to jump into the Abyss and deal with the horrors there. Besides, the scholar in SJ would be curious about the abyss (and SY too let's be honest) ), kicks both in and goes "Alright we're taking an impromptu field trip" and jumps in after leaving SY to deal with the political mess that comes after.

Anyway, the last AU can be changed in various ways, like make it a PIDW time travel fix it with only the OGs around, or just Shen twins, etc. Feel free to shout at me how dumb this all is.

Hi! I'm back! I'm so glad you liked my au idea hehe. And I absolutely loved your extension of it! It has left me brimming with a lot more ideas that I came to share. (Maybe someday I'll be motivated to write a fic??) this is gonna be long, so I'm really sorry for that.

Maybe Airplane can help YQY and SJ reconcile by making up a story about seeing the guy come looking for someone or whatever.. SJ doesn't buy it because he's been with him the whole time since the Qiu Manor incident but he knows by now that there's something almost seer-like in his new mentor, so he brushes it off.. anyway, timeskip..

So, SJ does come to IAC with WYZ/Airplane not knowing what MBJ had planned for it?? He just came to catch sight of Qi-ge. But then the demons take over and the disciples are dying and fighting for their lives. WYZ/Airplane who is now one of his two father figures said he needed to come here so SJ assumes it's his prophetic abilities that led them here, so he too tried to help the disciples, considering they're far too young to hold out on their own (like he was supposed to be well into his peak lord era so I'm assuming he's old enough).

In doing so, he spots a clearly demonic child, and the probable Qing Jing peak lord trying to fight MBJ, with all their strength. Before he can even react, he's looking for ways to help him "not dad". Then, MBJ mentions something about Binghe being a demon and being good or whatever, and it pisses him off? The young Qing Jing peak lord (I'm picturing a SY younger than SJ who was brought into this world after SJ decided to not join Cang Qiong), is fighting MBJ pretty hard, so SJ tries to stay hidden, but defend MBJ. SQQ/SY still has the mission of pushing Binghe down the abyss and the timer is running thin, so he slowly picks up his drama of being betrayed by Binghe being a demon, as MBJ portals out.

But somehow WYZ/Airplane shows up. Something passes and SQQ takes out his sword, and SJ assumes it as a threat to his other dad, and ends up doing something? Like maybe he uses his sword or some demonic cultivation tool or trick that WYZ/Airplane taught him. It hits SQQ who collapses on the spot, in front of Binghe who was already dealing with his shizun's look and words of betrayal but now he's confused and panicked. He looks horrified as he runs to SQQ and calls out "Shizun..shizun this disciple is sorry.. he was wrong.. please.. please look at me.." but SQQ just won't. He's not dead but let's say that the demonic cultivation technique does something that makes the person appear dead for some time. Luo Binghe sees red and glares at WYZ (because SJ was still hidden in the same direction as WYZ is standing) as his zuiyin flares, and he's ready to attack, but SJ beats him to it and pushes him down into the abyss before he can do anything.

Binghe's hatred is too much, because he hurt and betrayed his shizun, who is now dead? and it's all because of those demonic cultivators, so his abyss arc is now also blended with the 5 years without shizun arc, except he has no body to bring shizun back.

Back on earth, SQQ is fine, but devastated that the abyss plotline was done. He's incredibly sad. He doesn't even remember doing it. Then somehow the airplane/cucumber reveal happens because airplane knows that the Og SQQ is with him. Either way, SJ doesn't feel too guilty for protecting WYZ but airplane is losing his mind because the vengeance on SJ is still predestined. He talks to SQQ about it all but doesn't exactly tell him that it was SJ who pushed binghe down. And SJ seems to be getting along well with SQQ despite their earlier feuds.

I like to imagine a scumcum relationship forming? Like QiJiu is there but I wanna add jiuyuan to the mix. He low-key feels bad because of how totally depressed and widowed SQQ looks all the time, so he tries to do this and that to distract and cheer him up. Somehow he does a better job than the brute LQG and is so very smug about it.

Then Binghe comes back. Shizun is alive!? He's overjoyed but then he sees SJ, the one who pushed him down, tailing behind his shizun like he used to. He wonders if they were always in cahoots. And misunderstandings and things similar to canon timeline happen because though SQQ is unaware of who pushed binghe, he still said all that to him, so he still expects punishment. He does die once before realising that SJ, LQG and Binghe were fighting over his corpse, and the fact that SJ was the one who pushed Binghe in and berates Airplane for it.

I'm so sorry.. for the length and if there are grammatical errors. I was overflowing with ideas. I love me some angsty bingqiu. 😞

like, SQQ is kind of his favorite now, he can’t just lose him, he fought so hard for him, he stayed with him while he mourned his disciple, he helped. but now SQQ knows it was him who pushed luo binghe, so he must hate him and SJ doesn’t want to see those eyes filled with hatred.

only SQQ knows about plot and inevitably of certain things, so he doesn’t hate, but he still prefers it for SJ to stay away from him and Binghe for some time for safety reasons. angst all over!! 🥲💛

I gotta say the callous attitudes of the Peaklord to go behind SQQ back to discuss his qi deviation and theorizing maybe Possession took place and when that became clear it was not they just did not continue to look further because they like the pretty outer shell of nice SQQ because then it would make them ask what make their shixiong so prickly and what his issues were that maybe it ran deep because how else is he so different otherwise?

 No one thinks of: what if this SQQ wishes to remember? I read once in a fic, and I found it very just, a Lan Zhan amnesiac who says that even if it were painful experiences (33 lashes and 13 years of mourning) they were part of him, that they were dear to him even if painful.

I think that even if SJ hated to have lived what he lived, he did not want to forget he did not want to forget Qi-ge, his fiancée, the courtesans of the brothel, all the women who were nice to him,… or his life, who he is. And who he is with unpleasant experiences: rapes without doubt, abuse, a life without a parent, a feeling of abandonment, the fact that he never felt at home in Qing Jing, that he was not loved by his martial brothers and sisters, betrayal ... and also with things he did.

it's not something they have to decide. If SY were SJ it would be up to SY and SY alone to decide if "something must be done" and if He have to “stay that way.”

I also think that although the peak lords may be right to not appreciate SJ, they never tried to get along with him either. I always found LQG to be very contemptuous without knowing (like all peak lords)

Like it sucks cause they should have talked with him in person your memories what youve gone through as a person and when it comes to his trauma all the girls he put his head down for a nice nap, Qiu Hatiang, Yue Qingyuan "betrayal" all the shit that went down makes him who he is as Shen jiu. They don't talk to him and ask if he wants to look deeper into his memories like they disregard their martial brother who I get they dislike but it makes them scummier in my eyes because wtf they barley even tried ?

Like if it were any of the Peaklords take LQG for instance they would have tried their hardest to get his memories but because their SQQ is more presentable and make them feel more comfortble is disgusting cause they disregard his autonomy.

Who we are is made up of our memories and how our past experiences have led to the development of our beliefs, our coping mechanisms, our very personalities. Without his memories, is SJ even SJ anymore? They may prefer the blank slate, but it requires no self examination for them. They do not have to think deeper like you have about why SJ is who he is, what terrible past he has that makes the reader more forgiving and understanding of his faults. If they did think about that, they would have to do something, wouldn’t they?

Hell, If Yue Qingyuan and SJ were reversed are any of us going to be suprised at the lengths he'll try to go to get his Qi-ge' back as readers but YQ who cares for SJ but lack of a backbone in not trying to recover his memories and not trying is just... irksome. SJ being more all or nothing guy compared to YQ who basically just a water down version of MDSZ Lan Xichen who basically did nothing to his benefit really says something. He's not kind he's a diplomat a politician he's polite is what he is.

YQ character would be much more attractive to me if his indecisiveness just never existed lol. I hate mopy characters so damn much and with a postions as sect leader had he been more firm and not let his shidi do whatever 99% of the things that happened never would have occured. There's only so much you can blame on miscommunication when it actively hurted and harmed the other party. He saw what it did to his shidi and he just did nothing about it right up to his foolish sucide attempt to save his Xiao at the last minute when his legs got sent to him. Wonder wtf he was doing then filing paperwork lol?
