Dating Matt Taylor Headcanons

He's super shy, but behind closed doors or around close friends he can be super affectionate and massive shows of PDA

Tries to act kinda macho but quickly realizes he doesn't have to, so he tones it way down

You are the only person allowed to wear his jacket. If one of the other girls are cold? Absolutely not. One of the other guys has to give up their coat.

But if you look even the slightest bit cold he's shrugging it off his shoulders and tucking it around you before you ever say a word

He loves spoiling you, but in a nonchalant way

Such as

"Oh by the way, I saw this at the store and remembered you said something about wanting it." as he puts down a dress (or whatever you want) you didn't buy because it was so beyond expensive

"Matt, baby, you have to take this back this is too much!"

Or paying before you even have a chance to reach for your wallet

Piggyback rides are one of his favorite subtle ways too

"We've been walking for a couple blocks, and I know those shoes have to be hurting you, want to hitch a ride for a bit?"

One of his greatest talents is the way he can calm you down

Depending on what's going on with you he can either make you laugh or tell you how he feels

He tells you exactly how beautiful you are, how much he adores everything about you and how much he admires you

He even tells you he thinks he doesn't deserve you

His tension breaking skills are legendary

He's made you laugh during slightly inappropriate situations, but it helped you in the moment

The first time you stole his jersey he melted into a little Matt puddle on the floor

It became his lockscreen for his phone within minutes

Wakes up before you everytime just out of habit, but won't move a muscle until you wake up. Even if he has to pee or something he'll wait.

Making sure you're comfortable in a situation is very very important to him

He understands, he's been stuck in the circle of peer pressure a few times, so even if he won't stand up for himself, he'll stand up for you in a heartbeat

You're both at one of Josh's parties and need a break? He'll take you out on a walk until you're feeling better or you'll just both head to one of the rooms and chill out

Someone comes up with a stupid idea that you don't want to do and they're pressuring you?

He's putting you behind him and making it very clear to the other to leave you alone

However, if that upsets you, he'll just leave with you. You come first to him. Doesn't matter if he's having fun.

In the game, they said he wasn't "the sharpest tool in the shed", so he loves studying with you, you explain things in a way he can understand better and it really helps him

Anytime he uses some sort of cheesy pick up line on you, that's the smile that comes out, and his cheeks darken a bit

I fully believe this man is a big spoon all the way, never the little spoon

However, his other favorite form of cuddling his laying between your legs with his head on your chest, especially when he's tired from practice or college classes

It grounds him, and he just likes being close to you

Body language is something he's always watching too, even if you're acting fine he'll know how you're actually feeling just based on that and act accordingly

He tries his hardest to do date night at least once a week but sometimes it's just you two ordering take out and chilling on the couch

Please reassure him 🥺 he tries to hide it but he gets a lil insecure that he's not being a good partner, especially when he gets busy and can't be around all the time

The first time he said he loved you, it came out of nowhere. You came to one of his games with his friends to cheer him on

When the game was won, you ran into his arms like he had just won the superbowl

mattheo raised his eyebrows when you opened the door of your dorm and were all dolled up. "are we going somewhere?" he asked surprised, but you shook your head.

"you can sit there!" you had so much energy, you were practically busting through the roof. "and we need to break up for a second, yeah?"

"what?" he laughed surprised, but you just nodded your head and he sighed. "sure, okay, whatever you say"

he sat down and watched as you took out the newest taylor swift album (red) he had gotten you for your birthday. "i should've known this had something to do with her" mattheo sighed before he pu a hand to his chin, thinking "maybe we shouldn't listen to that music anymore"

"excuse me? we?" you laughed sarcastically "we're not together as if now, remember?"

"yeah, yeah" mattheo muttered rolling his eyes. "do whatever you have to so we can make out"

you rolled your eyes as the smirk on his face, before you started the song and loudly started to sing along.

i remember when we broke up the first time saying, "this is it, i′ve had enough"

"this is the first time, we broke up, but whatever" mattheo crossed his arms, jokingly.

"i thought you liked role-play" he frowned jokingly and you had to laugh once again.

mattheo laughed as you raised your voice and loudly started singing the chorus again. he stood up from his place on your bed and started dancing along with you, as he tried your best to sing along to the unknown lyrics.

when the song was finished, both of you fell down on your bed exhausted, heavily breathing.

"so you now approve of taylor now, yeah?" you muttered and mattheo nodded repeatedly.

"have i ever not approved of her? who got you that cd, love?"

you rolled your eyes, but nodded, approvingly, before you added "now we can get back together"

"but babe" mattheo muttered confused "i thought you said we would never ever ever get back together" he started laughing hysterically at the very bad joke and you slapped his chest before you joined in.

in honor of halloween here's a halloween-themed headcanon set for each until dawn character.

samantha giddings.

sam chooses a diy nature-inspired costume like a woodland fairy, using biodegradable glitter and repurposed fabrics. think leaves, twigs, and soft, earthy greens.

she insists on going to a local pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin and spends hours carving designs.

while the others plan for parties, she hosts a low-key gathering with candles, cozy blankets, and homemade pumpkin spice lattes.

loves classic horror but gets super into psychological thrillers. hereditary is her top pick, and she’s the one pointing out foreshadowing before everyone else catches it. josh washington.

josh goes all-out building a haunted maze in his backyard, complete with hidden speakers, fake cobwebs, and scare actors he hires just to freak his friends out.

dresses as something horrifying, like a blood-streaked serial killer. full commitment to fake blood and smudged makeup.

has a camera ready to capture each friend’s reaction when they’re scared out of their minds. keeps a scare montage video just for fun.

he's surprisingly good at carving pumpkins, but his designs are intricate horror scenes, almost like horror movie posters in pumpkin form.

ends halloween by watching obscure, disturbing horror movies that leave everyone else uncomfortable. mike munroe.

shows up dressed as a suave vampire or some other classic monster, aiming to look cool and a little dangerous.

takes his friends to a haunted corn maze and enjoys it way more than he lets on, constantly teasing the jump-scare actors and testing his bravery.

organizes a frat party bonfire in the woods with s’mores and ghost stories. he’s the one lighting sparklers and throwing on extra wood to make the flames bigger, he drinks to much and forgets he's the host of the party.

pulls classic halloween pranks, from fake spider webs to jumping out of dark corners. the type to keep a scary mask in his bag just to mess with people.

jessica’s costume is elaborate, trendy, and slightly dark, like a glamorous vampire or a witch in haute couture. she’s all about looking spooky-chic, she went shopping early for the best costume.

stays in to watch mean girls with a couple of her girl friends referencing every qoute.

spends half of halloween snapping aesthetic photos of her outfit, snacks, and décor, making everything look flawless.

gets her halloween nails done a week before and flaunts them on her social media platforms.

he’s the guy bringing pumpkin spice lattes and fall-flavored treats for everyone, unapologetically embracing the season.

suggests doing a couples costume with emily, probably as a famous horror duo. secretly excited about how they’ll look in photos together.

convinces emily(and maybe the whole group) to go on a haunted hayride, keeping a brave face while sneaking glances to see if she’s scared.

volunteers to help with halloween décor, placing spider webs and fake spiders around. he’s got a collection of led bats and ghost lights.

dresses as a chic witch, complete with a designer hat, intricate lace gloves, and knee-high boots. halloween is just another reason to look flawless.

sets up a dark, enchanted photo booth with crystal balls, black roses, and velvet. her instagram feed is a whole halloween masterpiece.

makes sure to get billions of stunning couples photos with matt, each one more perfect than the last. their matching costumes and chemistry are on point, making everyone else a bit envious (and they know it).

emily hosts a halloween themed sleep over with velvet pillows, and black satin sheets for an ultra-cozy but gothic sleepover vibe. the girls chat and laugh till they fall asleep, each secretly keeping one eye open.

dresses as a ghostbuster or some iconic horror nerd costume, complete with all the gadgets. he’s fully committed to the nostalgia factor.

brings his gear and talks about doing a "ghost hunt." sets up his phone to record “paranormal” activity around the bonfire.

insists on watching horror classics with everyone, pausing every now and then to geek out about the movie effects or the backstory.

after everyone else goes to bed, chris and ashley stay up playing with the ouija board, half-joking but also half-believing they might make contact. they end up spooking themselves and get so scared swearing to never use it again.

dresses as a character from classic gothic literature, like mina harker from dracula, complete with vintage lace and dark, dramatic makeup.

she knits little ghost ornaments and diys her own creepy decor, like mason jars filled with “witch’s brew” and spiderweb doilies.

loves telling ghost stories, candle in hand, with just the right amount of dramatic pauses and eerie expressions.

ashley, catching her breath and laughing nervously, gives chris a playful whack on the arm for scaring her so bad. “not cool, chris!” she says, but she’s grinning as he pulls off the mask, clearly proud of his successful prank.

insists on having a stash of halloween candy just for herself. she’s all about chocolate, especially reese’s and kit kats, and jokingly guards her stash from the others, even hiding a few extras in her bag.

hannah and beth washington.

hannah and beth take turns posing in different eerie setups around the cabin, snapping dramatic photos of each other in candlelight, near fog machines, and with props like antique lanterns. they especially love capturing a few shots that look like something out of an old haunted portrait.

both love the idea of exploring the mountain at night, so they plan a late-night “ghost hunt” under the full moon. they bring flashlights and spooky stories to tell along the way, daring each other to walk just a little bit farther into the woods.

beth and hannah sneak into the room with a giant rubber spider and place it right on josh’s chest. when he stirs and opens his eyes to find it staring back at him, he lets out a yell that has the girls stifling laughter from behind the door.

they have a slight obsession with candy corn and will spend halloween night indulging in it, trading their favorite types of candy and making candy corn-themed treats, like popcorn balls or cupcakes.

Emily- uses it to start her own magazine (she tries to include something to remind her of the Washingtons in it)

Jess- doesn’t touch it (considered using it to get plastic surgery but genuinely didn’t want to)

Mike- keeps it but doesn’t know what to do with it (he ended up getting his masters with it)

Matt- uses it to go to college (he goes to Josh’s grave and thank him for it)

Hi! I was thinking about the characters in Until Dawn and jealousy. What do you think they would be like when they were jealous? And how would they react if their significant other was jealous?

How they'd be:

• Ashley: she doesn't get jealous that often, but I think she'd let it be. Yes, she'd be angry, but I feel she'd be too ashamed to admit it or to do anything abt it

• Beth: she'd try to be as calm as possible, almost to the point of not looking jealous. However, if you ask her and you're close to her, she'd open a bit abt how she feels

• Chris: he's not the type to show it with actions, but with words. If you tell him that you've hung out with someone he doesn't trust, he'd be like "oh, so you've met with _, huh?" But he wouldn't do anything unless the other starts getting more touchy

• Emily: after what happened with Mike and Jess, I feel like she became more possessive/jealous, so she'd get visibly mad and she'd end up arguing with her partner when they're meeting another person (she has lots of trusting issues)

• Hannah: she'd only admit that she's jealous if you saw her crying abt it, if not, she'd be like those teen girls from those hs American movies (writing it on a diary and even doing voodoo to get rid of the person that causes her jealousy)

• Jess: she'd try to make people notice abt her, no matter what cost. She wants the other person to realize that she's way better, even if she doesn't think that's true, but she kinda craves that feeling when she's jealous

• Josh: he's jealous not bc he's possessive, but bc he's insecure and thinks that you're going to get someone better soon, but he wouldn't show it that much

• Matt: he'd act like he did when he confronted Mike. He doesn't really get jealous, but he'd try to control his thoughts by thinking that he isn't gonna get betrayed, but when he does, but he'd end up exploding, both on his partner and with the other person (especially after the whole Mike/Emily thing)

• Mike: oh boy, he'd get very temperamental. If he sees his partner with someone else he doesn't trust, he wouldn't control his words against the other person and he'd be way more touchy with his significant other

• Sam: I don't think she's the jealous type, but if she got, she wouldn't say anything (or if she did, it'd be after a long time)

With a jealous reader:

• Ashley: at first, she'd find it a bit awkward bc she'd feel like you're trying to keep her only for you, but if you aren't very noisy abt it, she wouldn't mind it that much

• Beth: she knows she isn't gonna change your mind abt your jealousy, so she'd try to deal with it in a calm way, with a lot of reassuring and avoiding the other person if they start getting more touchy or flirty with her

• Chris: he'd make some jokes to calm your jealousy sometimes ("if it makes you better, I can hack them off the planet") But he wouldn't really know how to react when you act like that, he'd just let you express your feelings

• Emily: she's very independent, so she'd be kinda annoyed bc she'd think you're trying to control her

• Hannah: she'd stop talking to the people you get jealous of (unless it's her siblings or Sam) No need to ask her twice, she doesn't want to make you sad

• Jess: she actually likes it. I feel like she kinda romanticizes jealousy bc she feels like you actually care abt her, so it's no big deal for her (except if you keep her from doing things she likes)

• Josh: he sometimes finds it funny bc, how could you think that someone's gonna "steal" him from you knowing how absolutely whipped he is for you? Anyways, he'd try to calm you down when you have a jealousy attack, but he wouldn't think much abt it

• Matt: he wouldn't get why you're jealous bc he knows he'd never cheat on you or anything similar, so he'd do anything it's up to him to make you understand that not everyone is a threat to your relationship (but in a calm and not irritated way)

• Mike: he'd find it hot at first because he likes the idea of having a jealous couple (bonus point if you're possessive too), but he'd end up getting tired of it

• Sam: she'd tell you that she doesn't like it, but she'd try to calm and reassure you that you have nothing to be jealous of, bc she'd never leave you

mike - leg bouncing and rubbing his stubble with his thumb. leg bouncing especially in cars and stuff where he cant really do anything but that.

jess - tapping her fingers against surfaces, like tapping beside her while sitting on a couch or a bed

em - i like to believe she used to have a bad habit of biting her nails when she was younger, whether due to anxiety or something else, but she managed to stop doing so by like her last year of middle school.

josh - when he was really little he’d twirl and mess with his hair a lot. it didn’t really do good for it, and it stopped when he was like 10.

chris - chewing on his lip and the inside of his cheek

ashley - skin picking. she used to have mosquito bites that’d like never go away cause she’d keep picking them open, and when she learned to crochet (another personal hc) her mom made her make fingerless gloves for herself. now she just itches at the gloves

matt - he rubs his thumbs against his other fingers a lot. and when people hold his hand(s), he tends to brush their knuckles.

the sound of beer or wine glasses echo through buck merrill’s bar as people cheers or they hit the table.

you and dallas are on a couch, you’re a bit tipsy, and he’s made it his job to take care of you. he’s a gentleman when he wants to be. his arm is around you, pulling you in and making sure you don’t do anything stupid. you’re laughing and talking with him, it’s pretty late so the atmosphere in this bar is a bit quiet. you’re spending most of your time gazing up at him as he talks, the eye-contact between you two is endless. he’s addicting to you. he has no idea how love-struck you are with him, but everyone else knows.

girls glance over at you two constantly, bitter looks in their eyes. they’re judging you. your short dress, the way dallas is spending so much time with you, how tipsy you are. you come across as a bit of a slut to the naked eye. you’re so obviously not a slut, but maybe it’s worth it for once that they’re giving you these dirty glances and thinking their crude thoughts. why? because dallas has so clearly noticed them. any girl that glances at you gets a very threatening glare from his cold eyes, only to warm up as soon as he looks back at you.

everyone wants him, but they aren’t adorned with the smell of his cigarette smoke on their clothes, they don’t have his arm around them, they don’t have his full attention. you do.

you take another sip of your beer. he’s so badly wanted you to stop, so badly wanting to care for you and make sure you feel good in the morning. but he doesn’t say anything, just letting you make your own decisions.

“you should probably stop starting beef with random girls, dal,” you tease, playfully pushing his shoulder. “their boyfriends are all starin’ at you.”

“it’s fine, [y/n], not like they’re gonna do anything, huh? they’ll thank us for making them realize their broads are in love with me.” he says, a playful and arrogant touch in his words.

“god, you’re so cocky, aren’t you?” you roll your eyes. “it might blow up in your pretty face someday.”

he shrugs. “well ain’t that a shame,” he says sarcastically, looking out at the party and pulling you closer to him as he does so.

your eyes have not once left him this entire party. a smile grazes your lips at his sarcasm and teasing, your eyes full of love, admiration, and pure joy at his constant attention toward you tonight.

“dallas,” you say softly, grabbing his attention. he looks down at you. “you look good tonight.”

he chuckles softly. “thank you, sweetie.” he never calls you pet names, and you always get jealous when he calls other girls that. but now you’re that girl.

more comfortable silence falls after that. he’s waiting for you to say something, he knows you want to say something, by the way your mouth keeps opening and closing. you’re just trying to figure out how to word it.

you’re exploding, you need to tell him about your silly crush. your brain is flooded with alcohol, completely forgetting that one confession could ruin your entire friendship.

you finally speak, words soft and delicate, a bit nervous to tell him. “what if all i need is you, dal?”

his eyebrows shoot up ever so slightly. he stays quiet, a bit surprised by your words. he knew it was coming, he could feel it, but it’s shocking nonetheless.

Who the Until Dawn Characters Voted for: ELECTION DAY SPECIAL

Hannah voted for Kamala but she needed convincing. She was absolutely going to vote for Jill Stein but Sam talked her out of it after saying that it would just give votes to Trump.

Beth voted for Kamala too, but was with her from the start. As soon as Biden dropped out of the race she kept saying it’s time for a Kamalanomenon.

Sam ABSOLUTELY voted for Kamala. SHE IS A VEGAN ROCK CLIMBER AND ANIMAL ACTIVIST. She loves the idea of taxing the rich even though her best friends are all nepo babies.

Josh probably wanted to write in himself but his state didn’t have a write in box so he just voted for Kamala.

Mike voted for RFK.

Jessica accidentally filled in the box for Trump and started panicking so she had to go back to the registration table to get another ballot. Besides this little fumble she voted for Kamala, she might not be a girls girl but she does not want the orange back in office.

Emily voted for Kamala and announces it proudly. She is so tired of old men being in office and needs a woman to be in this position of power.

-Jess used to tan a lot

-Josh's voice got much deeper after puberty

-Josh can sometimes have bad hand eye coordination 

-Although Josh is the oldest, his younger sisters could still be very protective of him

-Ashley is religious and knows/remembers a lot more than Chris

-The Washingtons also grew up religious; the twins were more interested in it than Josh

-Chris and Ashley actually both really like animals and watch animal documentaries together sometimes

-Beth also needs glasses and used to wear them, but she switched to contacts

-Ashley is afraid of heights
