Had a bunch of ppl asking for a tutorial on making a head, so I thought doing this for my updated rexy mask would be good.

Number one rule is always crush and shape the cardboard!

This is part one, I’ll be going over the other parts as it progresses, next will be masking tape and paper mache.

I've been struggling to get a job since i quit in june ( for being harassed for masking. which i do bcs i have long covid ).

Part of my income i used to support a friend and their roommate, both Black and disabled with LC, in staying housed. Its tough. Their car died for good the other night, while in traffic. Its been known to do this for years, but its been neglected because they sincerely couldn't afford to fix it, and it could've costed them their life.

I couldn't do nothing. So I came up with the idea of masked portrait commissions!!! In order to make up for all their unmet needs...which extend beyond car repairs.

These are two I've done so far... and am looking to do lots more!!

made this mask today, some of the characters in The Other HAppy Place wear masks. I wanted to see if i could make it fairly real? I haven't done physical crafts in ages. it's made with plastic mirrors i broke and snapped, hot glue, silver leaf and a pretty sturdy thick hard plastic mask base.

ideally i'd make it with metal, but then I guess it'd be pretty heavy! and I can wear this one.

BUT IT'S KINDA HARD TO SEE.

oh well, we suffer for beauty *falls down my stairs*

Here’s the first one I did and my personal favorite! I only have yellow felt atm, but it doesn’t look horrible <\3

A non-felted one I did based off of a design my grandma made!

Here’s the last one, based off of a cheetah cause I wanted to practice with different patterns! :]

I’m hoping to get supplies to experiment with changing the ears and snout, so we’ll see how my future masks look :]
