Ok, hear me out-

The penguins are DnD nerds.

But so are the chimps, so they’d have like a whole little party and play their campaign every Thursday or something

Some headcannons:

Mason is their dungeon master

Phil is the ranger

Kowalski is a wizard

Private is their cleric

Rico is obviously the barbarian

Skipper usually goes fighter or rogue

Marlene and Julien would join later since they are newer to the zoo and they’d start a new campaign with them

Marlene is a sorcerer and is chaotic good

The penguins would make Julien be the bard lmao

The whole party is chaotic neutral apart from Marlene and Private who are chaotic good and lawful good 💀

Some other headcannons:

Kowalski and Marlene will constantly rival about who is the better magician and fight about it like siblings, but Kowalski is very arrogant about it

Skipper tries paladin once even though everyone tells him it’s a bad idea, but he doesn’t listen - he accidentally oathbreaks within the first 5 minutes and makes them restart the whole campaign

When they see Rico get randomly encumbered it’s immediately a cause for concern, because they instantly know he just yoinked some barrels of gunpowder and alcohol and is planning something really stupid

Marlene and Kowalski make up their own spells and constantly cast them on each other, much to Mason’s dismay - “I cast… MANUAL BREATHING!” “I cast… PARENTS FIND YOUR TEENAGE SKETCHBOOK!”

Skipper is an absolute menace as a rogue and always uses sleight of hand on his friends which he finds very funny

Marlene will do ANYTHING just to spite Kowalski

Private is the strongest and takes it the most seriously, so he usually has to dig the others out of their own shenanigans

Julien is the first to die in every situation, usually because his use of vicious mockery comes to bite him back in the ass

Rico loves to use his friends as improvised weapons

Mason is a very good narrator, but usually goes on forever until someone has to tell him to get to the point

Private collects EVERYTHING he finds along the way and makes Rico carry it when he gets encumbered

Phil and Rico turn into partners in crime and cause chaos and destruction wherever they go - they love to use explosives in battle which ends up with half the party dead

They always make Alice the final boss of their campaign

Maurice loves his weekly break from Julien

What if TPOM was a soap opera??

((((so YES that's an excuse to merge in my new sort of kind of hyperfixation (it's not as strong as some of mine hyperfixes but it certainly is there) on this one polish soap opera from 2001 called Adam and Eve))))

But! The plot would be kinda nice! I mean it's a soap opera so there's a TON of drama---

We have Skipper, our protagonist, who is stuck with her EVIL malicious husband Julien, who is focused on himself and a cheater (gasp!) He's burnt out living day to day at their flat, taking care of the little Private an supervising if Rico is putting himself into some trouble again (I wanted them to be the equivalents of the children of the protagonist, Private would be the young but supportive son, and RIco the teenage rebellious daughter who keeps falling in trouble - in the show she crashed a policeman's new car because she wanted to help some guy she met a few hours earlier)

but ONE DAY this guy just falls from the sky and crashes into him! His name is Hans, and he'll fall in love at first sight. Not Skipper tho!(or he'll think so),, But this meeting will change his life forever :)))

At the same time, his old friend, Marlene, returns from her travels, and she's sweet as ever :3 Skipper had a little crush on her in the past, but decided to get into the more financially stable marriage with (charming at that while) Julien. But what if the feelings never died out?

And to not make Julien the bad guy - when he notices Hans - this guy his husband started hanging out with - he noticed how neglectful he was and decided to change it. One day Skipper wakes up and sees Julien from the past - charming and sweet. Maybe there's a chance for this marriage???

God i thought up a lot of stuff about this already

Kowalski plays the role of the protag's smart sister, who in the og gets envious of the main love interest (which happens to be hans :P what a crackship,,,) and wants to end up with him (but he never notices her)

Oh and Hans can fly in this AU :)) it creates a contrast of "boring, flightless everyday life" - "this guy FALLS from the sky and is a little crazy and unpredictable"

Oh and Maurice is there too (from the cast i thought of) - he's julien's lover (obv) - in the og the lover is a smart journalist who is with the husband to gain information she needs and she kinda wraps him around her finger

Everyone LISTEN I have come to a very important realization that is completely not delusional.

(Also don't be fooled this is purely about skilene you'll get it at the end of my rambling trust.)

So, I watched The Otter Woman episode right after The Falcone and the Snow Job okay and we all know how down bad skipper was for both Kitka and "Arlene" BUT when it was Kitka he was so down bad that he didn't even think Kitka might have kidnapped Julien despite the evidence, like sure the evidence was wrong but my point is despite EVERYTHING and EVERYONE telling him Kitka is the culprit he kept believing she wasn't. And in The Otter Woman despite being more down bad than ever the moment he realized this "Arlene" might have done something to Marlene he didn't even give "Arlene" the benefit of doubt not even slightly did he want to prove she wasn't the culprit. No, the possibility of Marlene being in danger snapped him out of it instantly. And im. So normal about this information.

I just feel like bellatrix black is lana del rey coded in a im in denial about liking these man but i also need their approval and validation kind of way

I don't really have anyone specific for pandora because in my mind she's folk through and through but canonically she is kind of a mad scientist so like i don't know. But still i think she'd like florence and the machine, blackmore's night maybe and like joan baez. Maybe weyes blood too.
