In The Silence

She was timid and shy

Not one to ask the question why

In a corner she sat alone as she preferred

Surrounded by the echoing volley of words upon words

Not much to say, her opinions of no matter

In the day to day voices emptying their banal clatter

A picture of silence she portrayed

In her own world she happily stayed

A mousy little bit, quite unassuming

A cacophony of noise, her undoing

She preferred the essence of relative calm

A release from the deafening din in a soothing balm

She found peace in the silence of being alone

Her thoughts could freely release and roam

Her own special time before life was stirred

Before the noisy thundering voices clamored to be heard

A moment each day to seclude herself and be at ease

To close her eyes and just enjoy the noiseless peace

To breathe in the silence like a much loved prayer

In her time of seclusion, quiet kept her safely there

A gentle smile creased her face

In her sought after peaceful place

A state of lanquishment finds her

As she succumbs to the kiss of silence that surrounds her ..!!!

I’m glad that J.K. Rowling has never written about the marauders and that no company has made a marauders film adaptation because 1, it would be boring (and straight) and 2, what’s great about the fandom is that we made the whole thing up. Some names were mentioned once or twice in the book and we gave them full on personalities. Everyone has different opinions on different characters and I think that’s the best part of this.

Harry who looks like James with his dark skin and wild hair and carefree aura, and has not just lily's eyes but her smile, and her laugh, and her wicked sense of humor, and who carries himself with the same pride that Regulus does, shoulders straight, head up and chin down, mouth pulled into a thin line and firm eyecontact when speaking with authority, and who inherited Mary's take-no-shit, headstrong determination but also her soft, caring, and protective personality

Lily was the first to figure it out. It shouldn’t have come as a surprise, after all she was known for coming in first in all her classes.

When James didn’t bother her for a week she thought he was planning something big. When he didn’t bother her for a month she thought he was finally giving up. When he showed up two months later with an apology, that’s when she knew.

He was over her. Fully and truly. Cause when James loved someone he loved them with his whole heart - which meant he had moved on to a new target.

So it doesn’t come as a surprise that when she goes into the potion room after hours to work on her extra credit assignment, she finds James making out with someone instead.

“So you do know where the potions room is.”

The happy couple jumps apart and James turns a sheepish look at her. That’s when Lily finally gets a good look at who James was with.

Black curly hair, regal features, slytherin tie.

She raises an eyebrow. “You never took things the easy way did you?”

James groans as Regulus laughs.

Lily smirks at Regulus. “Him going after you, I get. But you? You voluntarily chose him?”

“It was a lapse in judgement”

“Hey-“

They both ignore James.

It’s the start of a beautiful friendship.
