Don't if this has already been explored before but: Desmond being reborn as Ezio's bastard (the one Clay is supposed to descend from) and everyone's reactions to it. Especially Claudia's and Maria's.

Desmond obviously regains all of his memories. He thinks it's super weird to have his ancestor as his actual father. But quickly realizes he prefers Ezio as a parent to Bill.

Bonus points: things get really confusing after Ezio goes to the Vault

I'm pretty sure there's already a fic like this somewhere in AO3 but the only one I can remember is the one where Altaïr is reborn in Italy and has Desmond as his little brother

So, for this one, we’ll focus on everyone’s reaction to it XD

First of all, we’ll have to think about where to set this. We do not have any confirmation (as far as I know) on when Clay’s ancestor was born but, considering that his memories seemed to focus on AC2, we will set this around the latter part of AC2. My suggestion would be around the time the Brotherhood lost the Apple after giving it to Sforza.

This will give us Ezio finding Desmond during the time he’s looking for the Apple.

Now, for everyone’s reaction:

Maria is still unresponsive around this time but he would move and cradle Desmond when he cries at night because he woke up from a nightmare that may or may not be his. They’re not sure if Maria is truly seeing Desmond or if she’s seeing a ‘memory’ of a child she lost (probably Petruccio).

Claudia doesn’t really pay him much attention, too focus on making sure the numbers are all correct.

When she has free time, she would visit him to ‘take care’ of him while his nanny takes a break. More often that not, she tells him all her complaints in a cutesy baby voice. Desmond is more amused than embarrassed.

Mario absolutely adore him and dotes on him more than enough that Claudia has to cut him off. He doesn’t show it but this is Mario’s way of ‘making up’ for his absence in his brother’s children’s life (whether he did it to keep them safe or because he had a falling out with Giovanni is up to you)

Leonardo is fascinated by him because he is the most mild mannered baby he had ever seen and is willing to stay as still as he could while Leonardo paints him. Desmond is definitely the model of a baby Jesus commission that Leonardo did XD

La Volpe visited him once and only once because it was too dangerous to leave his guild alone and there was really nothing to keep him in Monteriggioni. He slipped inside Desmond’s room at night and left soon after. Desmond thinks that was creepy but just waves it off.

I have some fics ideas that includes her, but definily not enough time to write (unfortunately, because I wish there was more content about her on the internet). 

Anyway, here is how I picture superior!Maria Hill in my mind and all the things that makes me obsessed with that idea~

Maria Hill who is your superior, and it is the main cause of your arguments because you always accuse her of treating you differently than the others recruits.

Maria Hill who obviously denies everything.

Maria Hill who actually treat you differently than the others recruits. however it is not in a good way, as the rumors may say, because she is stricter and more demanding with you than she is with the rest of the agents.

Maria Hill who acts that way only because she cares.

Maria Hill who knows the job, and how dangerous it can be. Maria Hill who has see too many agents dying or getting hurt when, and she fears that you could be one of them.

Maria Hill who firmly believe that only perfection could save you from that fate. she advocates strict compliance with rules, and rigorous training. She doesn't let slide any of your mistakes.

Maria Hill to whom the universe has given a girlfriend who doesn't share her point of view (you). there is a slight age gap that may explain the differences. you are not a rookie anymore, but it has been barely a few years. sometimes you argue that she still treat you as a trainee, and not a proper agent. you are both really different she is strict, careful, and respect the rules, while you are reckless, craving to prove yourself, and don't hesitate to take unnecessary risks or to disobey orders to succeed a mission.

Maria Hill who doesn't like to go on missions with you because she knows she won't be able to focus. the whole time she would be worried about how you're probably gonna get in trouble, which has led her to do many mistakes by the past.

Maria Hill who hates it even more when she has to monitor you from afar because there is nothing she can't intervene. if something happens, she can only be a witness. especially when you purposely decide to ignore her orders and threats, and cut your communication devices to do the specific thing she had told you to not because it was dangerous.

Maria Hill who is just scared that you could get hurt on a mission but doesn't know how to express it.

Maria Hill who cares but know you won't listen to her, and even if it pains her to take actions against you, as writing reports about you or suspending you from going on missions, she knows she has to in order to keep you safe.

Maria Hill who is willing to accept you hating her if it's the price to your safety. she would even accept to loose you as a girlfriend if she has to.

And it freaks everybody out and everybody thinks he's holy or something and he's just like "all right okay why not"

It had happened by accident.

It had to be an accident, right?

Altaïr had been thrown out of the room and the Templars had unsheathed their weapons. Malik had been focused on protecting his brother, shouting at him to run as he tried to keep all of the Templars busy.

Robert de Sablé didn’t even look back when he walked away after ordering their death.

Malik didn’t know what happened.

He saw Kadar freeze when he neared the scaffolding that would lead to the treasure and Malik swore his eyes glowed gold for the briefest of moments.

Before one of the Templars charged at him.

Kadar snapped out of it and tried to block, his stance unstable enough that he slipped backwards.

Into the scaffolding…

Taking the Templar with him.

The Templar’s sword struck one of the wooden pillars keeping the scaffolding stable and…

Malik didn’t have any explanation for it.

It shouldn’t have happened.

The scaffolding started to crumble, making Kadar and the Templar run away from it as fast as they could.

And then…

The wall next to the scaffolding began to break apart, golden light coming from the cracks before the entire thing fell down.

Together with the treasure and the ark where it had been resting.

The ark broke in half, splitting in the middle to reveal an egg shaped thing made of stone that was around the height of perhaps Malik when he was sitting on the floor.

The treasure fell on top of it, shattering like it was made of glass.

Where the shards fell on the stone, the stone changed and spread.

Until…

What had been stone had changed to seemingly three pairs of wings with white feathers that seemed to shine gold all curled together.

The wings twitched…

Before slowly opening, stretching to its full size.

Revealing a young man seemingly sleeping, the three pairs of wings attached to his back. His head was resting on his propped up knees.

No one could speak.

No one could move.

Until…

“Altaïr?” Kadar whispered hesitantly and Malik could see why he would call out that fool’s name.

The man looked too much like Altaïr for it to be a coincidence.

Almost as if hearing the name, the man…

No.

The divine being in front of them opened his eyes.

Instead of Altaïr’s golden eyes, his eyes were light brown with specks of gold in them.

And Malik wondered how he could see them from where he was standing, a few meters away from the winged being.

The divine being looked around and blinked.

His eyes met Malik and his lips parted.

“It’s an angel!”

Before he could speak, the Templars all knelt and began to pray.

The Templar who had attacked Kadar took off his helmet and…

It was a woman.

A woman who was praying fervently at the divine being who…

… looked at Malik with wide confused eyes.

Unorganized Notes… I mean… sorta notes?:

Desmond is surprised for a few seconds then he goes “Be not afraid” and tried to sound super impressive “Ye are in the presence of…………… the will of God.” and he’s just bullshiting his way to uuhhh. He has no plans.

He glanced at Malik and Kadar and oh yeah, alright.

“Ye shall not harm these… men of justice for they are… under my protection…?”

At that point, Desmond knows he is ffuuuccckkeedd. Malik is obviously onto him. Kadar is super confused and just keeps staring at his face. Then…

Maria, of all people, agree and even goes as pledge her sword to him which is super weird and Desmond’s just “???”

In the end, Desmond accidentally takes the Templars about to kill Malik and Kadar with him as he leaves the temple with Malik and Kadar. It’s a very awkward journey and Desmond has no idea what else to do other than…

Oh wait… there were other Templars stationed nearby and they all saw him leave with his ‘entourage’.

Before he could try to say anything, Maria speaks for him, calling the messenger of God and that he had been sleeping in the Ark of the Covenant which sounded like a super big deal (and he can’t even whisper to Malik to ask what the hell she was talking about because the Farm was never religious and the only time Desmond even heard of the Ark of the Covenant was from Indiana Jones) and…

… why does it feel like Maria was converting people into becoming his personal army???

Oh god… Was this…

Was he going to take his own army to Masyaf???

The good time had led to Maria singing on impromptu karaoke, plus having a whale of a time dancing and not just with Gareth, though he'd kept very close.

Now they were supposed to be walking back to where she was staying near the base to get some sleep. Maria however kept getting distracted.

I've read so much bucktommy tumblr posts and ao3 fics that I'm done with buddie. Maybe you should read some and be done with it too. It's ok to admit when you're wrong.

I don't ship buddie because Buck and Eddie are hot together. I ship them because they complement each other.

Buck has always been searching for a family, for stability, for someone to love, for someone to stay, for someone to love him completely and for someone to accept his love.

Eddie, has been stuck trying to take care of everybody, carry out their plans for him, always sacrificing himself for others, never allowing himself to get what he wants without feeling guilty, unable to express his emotions freely, reluctant to ask for help.

You know what’s the beauty of buddie, even as just friends? That in the first 3 episodes of season 2, the buddie dynamic was already stablished and it gave us so much characterization. Buck, wanting to be supportive, helped Eddie out by introducing him to Carla, checking in with Bobby so that Chris could stay at the station, driving Eddie to pick up Chris after the earthquake. And Eddie, who wouldn’t normally ask for help, not only accepts it but allows Buck to continue to take care of him and Chris.

Now compare all that characterization across 7 seasons, 7 years that we got to know these characters vs 5 scenes with Tommy... You can't tell me you give up on buddie after 4 episodes with a new character whose storyline could barely fill a paragraph and be taken seriously.

Like it's ok to admit you only wanted to see Oliver kiss a man and that's it. That's fine, but miss me with all this superiority complex with shipping bucktommy.

Yeah, you guys wrote 3000 fics and innumerable posts on tumblr filled to the brim with *check notes* tropey headcanon on top of horny headcanons, gender roles, and once again buck getting female coded with stereotypical bottom tropes. Fanon buddie bore me before, and I’m already done with fanon bucktommy aka Tommy “might as well be an OC” Kinard and Evan “self insert” Buckley.

 Every single previous female love interest of Buck had more characterization than Tommy, but somehow *cough* misogyny *cough* Tommy has this insane fan support behind him by his 4th appearance. I wonder why?

I don't hate Tommy or the ship, but I'm sorry, he is not a fleshed out character, you guys just love how plain he is (so the headcanons are easier to apply) and how hot Lou is, because where was all this energy and push for a love interest to stay in the show, for any of the previous female love interests??? 

All this talk about how perfect the relationship is but when Natalia and Buck, who also had the same amount of scenes and development by her 3rd/4th episode, no one was rooting for her to stay.
