~~~~~~~☆ 2 week 'New Years' d13t ☆~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~G3NERAL N0T3S~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
clothing - sequins and glitter where possible! even if its a subtle everyday thing, lets put effort into our looks this year! at the least go for leapord print, fitted clothes, or something with classy lace (not those halloween corsets obviously 😗)
workouts - dance off everything you consume, whether thats with justdance, or at a new years event, it doesn't matter! alongside this, pick up a new workout for toning this year, such a pilaties, or something more f4t burning like HIIT (there is a wonderful middleground between these two, and you can find loads of combo workouts on youtube!)
d13t - for new years events, canapés are you best friend, its totally easier to lie about 34ting way more than the measly couple of 45c4l gyozas you did when noones really paying attention to anything but their own plate. and as we go into the new year itself, if you must 34t (which you should if you plan on working out at all) go for f00ds that actually hit your nutrition targets, rather than fast f00d crap, remember we want to be sk1nny, not d34d.
other - glittery shower gel! or body glitter, whatever you prefer, as longs as you have something that sparkles. and, as per usual, we want to be as productive as possible so start setting yourself goals for schoolwork/other tasks to reach those goals!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~°•☆•°~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~31|01|2024~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
glittery eyeshadow
200< c4ls consumed <1000
fit your drinks into the above budget, but still make sure you 34t if you're out all night ☆
wear something cute, or a fancy dress you haven't worn since you got it!
dance!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~01|01|2025~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
<500 c4ls consumed
more eyeshadow!
a nap. (its new years day.)
half an hour pilaties or HIIT (or both)
everything shower
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~02|01|2025~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~03|01|2025 -> 05|01|2025~~~~~~~~~
<1000 c4ls
go for little snacks rather than m34ls
breakfast = coffee
veg or fruit for lunch
high protein dinner
3 hours schoolwork/revison/other productive task
~~~~~~~~~~06|01|2025 -> 09|01|2025~~~~~~~~~
<400 c4ls

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~°•☆•°~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NOTE: don't beat yourself up for over34ting/overextending your c4l budget on new years (whether it be from drinks or not) just work harder in the new year ♡☆
secondly, this is just what I'm trying to do to make new years just that bit more interesting!
finally, inspired by @h0neysugarfree 's old d13ts ofcc
Saint Kateri Tekawitha 1656-1680 Feast Day: July 14 Patroness: Ecologists, Native Americans
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, known as Lily of the Mohawks was an Algonquin–Mohawk virgin. Born in Auriesville (now part of New York), she was orphaned during a smallpox epidemic, which left her with a scarred face and impaired eyesight. In 1676 she was converted and baptized by Father Jacques de Lamberville, a Jesuit missionary. Shunned by her tribe for her faith, she escaped through 200 miles of wilderness to the Christian Native American village of Sault-Sainte-Marie. Kateri was known for her spirituality and austere lifestyle. Various miracles and supernatural events are attributed to her intercession.
Adelaide, Dowager Princess of the Isle (1847-1939)
Adelaide and her husband Charles enjoyed a remote honeymoon at Tregaron Castle on the Isle. Adelaide spent time reading while Charles was secluded in his rooms and went on occasional hunting trips with his friends. When Adelaide and Charles returned to San Myshuno he abruptly left, taking up residence at Dunkeld Palace in Victoria. Adelaide found herself alone raising his children as her own. Charles could never look at his daughters without thinking of their mother Maria Christina whom he dearly loved. After losing his father, his fiance, his first wife, and two children, Charles was never open to loving anyone ever again and distanced himself from his new wife and surviving children. Adelaide dedicated herself to raising Princess Alexandra who would one day become Queen of Windenburg and San Myshuno.
Like Maria Christina, Adelaide preferred spending time with family rather than at court. Adelaide organized a strict curriculum for her stepdaughters, employing tutors and professors from the top universities in the country. Adelaide frequently wrote letters to Charles and Queen Mary, updating them on the children. In December 1874, Charles visited his daughters for the last time at San Myshuno Palace. Charles had gifted his daughters new toys and dresses from Magnolia, gifts they would cherish forever. Adelaide believed that Charles's health had improved and seemed to be in "better spirits", however in February 1875, the Prince died from an illness. Charles had planned to return to Honey House and move in with his wife and daughters, however, he caught a fever which led to his eventual death.
Adelaide comforted the Queen during her grief and lived with her for months at the San Myshuno Palace. Adelaide was now raising the heir to the throne, Alexandra, whom Mary had turned her attention to. Mary saw herself in young Alexandra and believed she needed to be taken under her wing. Adelaide and her stepdaughters would spend months out of the year with Queen Mary at Statford Castle where the young princess would be educated.
In 1875, with the death of Queen Mary II, Alexandra became Queen. Adelaide became the most senior member of the royal court, after Alexandra, and was thrust into the position of a society hostess. Although Adelaide considered herself an introvert and preferred the company of her immediate family, she helped her stepdaughter entertain at the palace. Adelaide became one of Alexandra's senior advisers and was in charge of her household. Adelaide became the matriarch of the royal family by the time Alexandra's children were born. Adelaide helped Alexandra raise her children and took a huge role in their lives. Adelaide helped arrange the marriage of most of her grandchildren, including the marriage of the future King Albert II and Princess Marina of Brindleton.
Adelaide remained at Honey House for the majority of her life and continued to make improvements and renovations to the house. Adelaide turned the over 200-year manor into a shrine to the royal family and spent the rest of her life restoring the house. Honey House became the center of the royal family, with Adelaide's grandchildren visiting the house almost every week. In the 1930s, Adelaide moved into Kingston Palace to be taken care of by her stepdaughter, Princess Charlotte.
Adelaide continued to appear at family functions and official events concerning the royal family. Adelaide devoted much of her time to charities and organizations which she became the patron of including the Windenburg Disabled Veterans Fund, which she she established after the Tartosan Wars in 1905.
Princess Adelaide was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1938 and later died in 1939, leaving the royal family heartbroken. Queen Alexandra once remarked that the death of her stepmother was the greatest loss of her life. Alexandra's daughter, Princess Adeline, commissioned a statue of Princess Adelaide outside Honey House following her death. Adelaide was given a state funeral held at St. Bartholomew's Cathedral which was attended by 1500 guests. Alexandra had a mausoleum constructed at the Royal Burial Ground where Adelaide was buried.
The Legend of the Princess Augusta or the Palatine Ship
The legend goes back to the historic shipwreck of the Princess Augusta at Block Island in 1738. The ship is known from several contemporary accounts and from statements made by the surviving crew after the sinking, which were discovered in 1925 and reprinted in 1939. The British merchant ship Augusta sailed from Rotterdam in August 1738 under Captain George Long and a crew of fourteen, carrying 240 immigrants to the English colonies in America. The passengers were German Palatines who came from the Palatinate, which is why the ship was referred to as the "Palatine Ship" in contemporary documents, which explains the later confusion about the name. The ship was on its way to Philadelphia, from where the passengers were possibly travelling to a German-owned settlement on the James River in Virginia.
The Burning Ship, by Albert Bierstadt 1869
The Princess Augusta's voyage was ill-fated: The water supply was contaminated, causing a "fever and flux disease" that killed 200 passengers and half the crew, including Captain Long. First Officer Andrew Brook took command when severe storms forced the ship off course to the north, where the survivors were exposed to extreme weather conditions and dwindling supplies for three months. According to the crew, Brook forced the passengers to pay for the remaining rations. Apparently he tried different routes to Rhode Island and Philadelphia, but the storms drove the damaged and leaking Augusta to Block Island. She ran aground in a snowstorm at Sandy Point at the northernmost end of the island at 2 p.m. on 27 December 1738.
According to reports, Brook rowed to shore with the entire crew and abandoned the passengers on board. The Block Islanders apparently did what they could to help. They convinced Brook to let the passengers disembark the next day, and later retrieved their belongings when he left them on board. They also buried about 20 people who died after the shipwreck; the Block Island Historical Society erected a memorial plaque at the site of the "Palatine Graves" in 1947.
The authorities took statements from the crew, but what happened afterwards is unclear. Apparently the crew was not charged for their actions, and they and most of the surviving passengers made it to the mainland, from where little is known about them. Two survivors remained on Block Island and settled there. Most reports indicate that the ship was deemed unsalvageable and was forced out to sea to sink. It may have been set on fire to sink it. According to some reports, a woman, sometimes referred to as Mary Van Der Line, was driven mad by her suffering; she was forgotten and sank with the ship, according to these reports. However, no remains of the wreck have ever been found, and there are indications that the Augusta may have been repaired and sent on to Philadelphia.
There is a rich oral tradition of this event, and numerous sightings were reported in the late 18th and 19th centuries. The legend was immortalised by the poet John Greenleaf Whittier in "The Palatine", which faithfully reproduces the traditional story in verse. Which gave the Legend it's name. On Saturdays between Christmas and New Year's Eve, locals still sporadically report seeing a burning ship pass by. Folklorist Michael Bell, investigating the legend, found that almost a year after the incident, two versions of the night's events were circulated.
The Palatine Graves
The Block Islanders insisted that their citizens had made a valiant attempt to rescue the crew, while the New England mainlanders suspected the islanders of having lured the ship to them in order to seize their cargo. Both legends agreed that a female passenger had refused to abandon ship when it sank, and those who claim to have witnessed her reappearance say that her screams were heard from the ship.
Today, a plaque at the Mohegan Bluffs where the ship is said to have run aground reads: Palatine Graves - 1738. Some claim that those who died that night are buried underground. However, Charlotte Taylor of the Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission has stated that no physical evidence has ever been found to support either this claim or the legend itself.
It's Mexico's independence day so heres some facts I know, but you can tell my favorite subject and the only one i could really pay attention in elementary school was History
Independence battle was started in 1810 (15-16 of september) and ended in 1821 (September 27th)
The revolution also started in a 10, 1910. (This was a revolution against the dictador Porfirio Diaz)
In 2010 the goverment make so many conmemorative events for it since it was 200 years from the independence and 100 of the revolution i even have a bill of that year
We find funny the stereotypical characterizations of the Mexicans. We are actually proud and glad of the interest.
We almost got governed by a French man, in fact, a lot of historians think we would be better if he made it to the power (he was executed after the French invasion)
The 5 of may conmemors the victory of the Puebla's forces against the French army (it was literally pure peasants with machete against French troops, it was a huge win even if we lost the thing after that lmao)
Where I live theres a huge seasonal fair that the goverment puts bc here was the main battle. The fair is next to the forts of the battle, and its crazy expensive so It's been years since i visited it)
Mexico City is actually constructed over a huge lake, where in the prehispanic times Tenochtitlan used to be. Tenochtitlan was full of man-made islands that held pyramids, villages, plantations. It was huge genius. The civilization settled there was the Mexicas (me-shi-cas) or better known as Aztecs. But with colonialism (1521) arrived and they literally burried all of that, the lake is still there and México city sinks over 3 cm per year.
Colonialism lasted over 3 centuries.
We actually have royalty: when we first were freed, the democracy wasn't implanted over the first couple of years as a free country. We had like 3 emperor until a new constitution was made and we were able to vote for our presidents. The last descendants of the last emperor are alive and residing in europe
Our famous president is Benito Juarez a peasant who scaalled until president, was built like a penguin and his most famous phrase is "Respeto al derecho ajeno es la paz" (Respect for the rights of others is peace). It's an inspiration for a lot of attorneys here. During his presidence the country's capital changed over 5 times because he was the one who had to held the French invasion.
Women vote its legal since 1952
Our presidencys lasts over 6 years.
We're going to have a new constitution soon and we're all fucking scared
We have an inside joke that in the north states the people dates their cousins (sweet home alabama Monterrey)
We all hate Santana (The guy who sold half of our contry)
The main religion practiced here its not catholicism. Its "Guadalupanism". Because theres a myth of an appearing of a Mary Virgin in (also) México city. 12 of december is another huge date bc of that. This religion is practiced over the 60% of the population (according to inegi)
In september 13th (also by the time of the French invasion) there was a confrontation Mexicans vs Frenchs in the Chapultepec Castle (Home of next to be French-mexican emperor) where the French tried to take over, but they were running so low in forces they needed help of the military academy with spldiers between the 12 and 19 years old. The history books said that was 6 kids that leaded and defended the castle, all dying in battle in such heroic ways (one of them involved himself in the flag and jumped of a rooftop to land over a French troop). There's a monument where their tombs are supposed to be. But this was recently discovered to be a myth and there's not actual historical evidence of this event. They were called "Niños heroes" (Hero kids)
For most of us, independence day is just an excuse to drink alcohol, eat a lot of typical food (I love my Dad's pozole. I LIVE FOR MY DAD'S POZOLE) and commit Arson.
My Dad makes such a delicious traditional Pozole.
Did I mention that i love my Dad's pozole?
My favorite food of here is cochinita pibil (traditional dish from Yucatan). And my favorite pastry is napolitan Flan, and impossible cake (a variant of Flan but with chocolate cake), my Dad recently taught me how to do Flan. I stand for Hibiscus Water bc im lactose intolerant and i cant drink horchata. My favorite candies are Santa Clara's Cookies and camotes (both typical from my region).
I like parties, how are made here. They're so fun.
My country is going to the shit and I'm so fucking scared
2006 Olympic Compulsory Dance
this was fascinating - it was Ravensburger Waltz season from the last time the Winter Olympics were in Italy. they used to have TWELVE judges on championships panels. and the tech caller for this particular event was Andrzej Dostatni, who is now married to Elena Dostatni, the WASA coach of Neset/Markelov and formerly Flores/Desyatov
there were 24 teams at this event in Torino--the aesthetic was um different 😅
10 of 24 women wore tan/beige boots
Barbara Fusar-Poli and Maurizio Margaglio led after this segment:
lots of famous names, current coaches and officials. and a very involved crowd who booed some of the scores. 29 yo Romain Haguenauer in the k&c with Natalie Pechalat/Fabien Bourzat ⬇️
i always thought of the waltz patterns as graceful and floaty, but it's so technical and looks hard here lol the Ravensburger Waltz is 48 bars x 2 at 66 beats per minute - 66 bpm could be dreamy if you only do one step per bar. but in this pattern, a lot of times they have to do 2+1 or even harder, 1+1+1 steps per bar, so it ends up being nearly 200 bpm - all the teams were kicking up a lot of snow making such fast turns, and not all of them could get deep edges at this speed
i don't know if it's a quirk of old footage vs newer, but at this 2006 event the music is clocking at 66-68 bpm. but in 2016 Ravensburger SD season, the top teams were more like 64-66 bpm - there's a big difference in skating 192 bpm vs 204 for the individual beats
anyway, staying on the music, covering maximum ice while making big curves and skating close all look challenging at this speed- i'd love to learn more because some of these top scoring teams looked cleaner or had more beautiful presentation than others. like Barbara and Maurizio don't have the lines of Navka/Kostomarov, and Tanith and Ben had some moments of such total unison. the teams who don't appear to be actively pushing also look better - i like a lot about Delobel/Schoenfelder, but they slow down in the curves more than some of the teams above them here. Marie-France and Patrice have an airy light quality while still curving quite a bit, but he's powering them more than her. idk, just my half baked thoughts watching one compulsory event 😅
but the field as a whole had superior skating and partnering skills compared to now - even compared to 2016, 2006 looks stronger in these fundamental ways
January 9th 1811 saw the very first women’s golf tournament at Musselburgh.
The participation of women in golf is continually growing to new heights each year. There were approximately 5.8 million women who play golf, according to a 2017 National Golf Foundation report. Involvement of women in golf has continued to increase over the past few years. Women and golf have a long history together dating back to the 1500s.
Mary, Queen of Scots, was accused by her enemies of playing maile and golf at Seton House in 1567, only a few days after the murder of her husband, Lord Darnley, in which they said she was implicated. Mary was tall and athletic and went riding and hunting. She practised archery and tennis, which women usually played with the assistance of a servant. Mary is reported to have once played tennis at Falkirk in men's breeches, which was outrageous for the day, but shows that, if she had wanted to play golf, she would have found a way, despite the restrictions of heavy dresses that women wore.
We do not know what type of golf Mary Stuart played. As she was also accused of playing maile (pall mall), the witnesses may have confused it with this game, or it may have been putting. The decorative Victorian portrayals of her striding over the links on her way to the green, after a 200 yard drive, are an undoubted fantasy.
A few years ago, a new first definitive reference to women playing golf has been discovered in the Caledonian Mercury newspaper . On 24th April 1738, two married women are reported to have played an match on Bruntsfield Links in Edinburgh, with their husbands acting as caddies. The Edinburgh paper reported that the match attracted quite a crowd and gambling. The women are complimented on their 'dexterity' in holing out as well as how manfully they 'tilted' the balls. The event was won by the 'charming Sally', though other than her first name, her identity is not known.
The first recorded golf tournament for women only occurred on this day in 1811. The tournament was held in the town at Musselburgh, East Lothian, Scotland for local fisherman’s wives of Musselburgh and Fisherrow, a neighboring town. The event was organized by the Musselburgh Golf Club and took place on their eighteen hole pitch and putt course. The prize for the winner was a creel and a shawl, with the runner up receiving two handkerchiefs from Barcelona.
Sadly the identities of the players have not been recorded in history.
In addition, Cal's 800 freestyle relay team of Ava Chavez, Polonsky, Stadden and Lilou Ressencourt swam a season-best time of 6:55.79 to finish 10th.
The Bears' 200 medley relay team earned First Team All-America honors while the 800 freestyle relay team was Second Team. The top eight finishers in any event are named First Team All-Americans at the NCAA Championships while 9-16 are named Second Team.
On Day 2, Cal senior Polonsky set another record, this time individually. She is increasingly showcasing her recent explosive improvement would have taken her?
Polonsky shattered her own personal-best time in the event during the morning prelims, establishing the third-fastest time ever at Cal with a 1:51.91 to qualify second for the championship final. She returned to the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center hours later for the finals and shaved almost another half-second off that time, moving up to second place on the Golden Bear all-time list and finishing third with a mark of 1:51.51.
Polonsky, who won the Pac-12 championship in the 200 IM as a sophomore in 2023, had never made a championship final at NCAAs before Thursday. During the prelims, she was slightly edged by Olympic gold medalist Torri Huske as the top qualifier.
It was just one month and one day since Polonsky last set a personal-best in the event, placing third at the ACC Championships with a time of 1:53.28. At the time, that was good for sixth all-time at Cal. Since, she has trimmed almost two full seconds off her best time.
Polonsky, a 2024 Olympian herself for her native Israel, is now done with her collegiate career in the 200 IM. But she will be back in the pool Friday as the No. 8 seed in the 200 freestyle and Saturday in the 200 butterfly. Meanwhile, graduate student Maya Geringer scored somewhat surprising points for Cal in the 500 freestyle, placing 14th in the event after entering NCAAs as the 40th seed. She grabbed the 16th and final spot in the B-final after recording a career-best time of 4:38.76 in the prelims.
Freshman Mary-Ambre Moluh tied for 14th in the 50 freestyle.
The Bears' 200 freestyle relay team of Moluh, Mia West, Isabelle Stadden and McKenna Stone earned First Team All-American honors with a seventh-place finish in a time of 1:26.96.
With two days remaining at the 2025 NCAA Championships, Cal moved up to sixth place in the team standings with 89.5 points. The meet continues Friday with the 100 butterfly, 400 individual medley, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, 3-meter diving and the 400 medley relay.
Pecunia non olet
When the Roman emperor Vespasian reinstated Nero's very unpopular tax on the distribution of urinals' waste, sometime around 70 AD, his son and heir, Titus, complained about it, thinking it was vile and disingenuous. Vespasian shoved a golden coin under his nose and asked the young fool if he still felt offended about it. Pecunia non olet - money doesn't smell, son. This very gold comes from, well, urine. Live with it.
I once comforted a whole orphanage, in Moulmein, Burma, for three weeks, with about 500 well-spent US dollars, at the local bazaar and shops. From rice to fruits to the strange, exuberant vegetables of the Tropics, meat and eggs and chocolate, and for good measure, aspirin, band-aid, antiseptic wipes, notebooks, pencils, socks, shoes, Tshirts, skirts and trousers. Filled three rickshaws with all the boxes and bags and went for it. The St Joseph orphanage was run by five formidable Anglo-Indian nuns, who took care of about 40 children, aged 5 to 16, whose parents died in the horrendous floods that followed the Nargis cyclone, in 2008. They had nothing. When they asked me who I was, I honestly told them it did not matter. Non nobis, Domine, non nobis.
Make no mistake. I am not a saint. I smoke like a chimney and swear like a drunken sailor and sometimes have to professionally, elegantly lie, because such is the nature of my job. I am cynical and short-tempered and yes, less impatient now than at 20. That day in Moulmein will always shine bright in my mind and in my heart for its absurd joy. And also for the feeling the real generosity was not mine, that day, but theirs.
Last week-end, about 200 women I would probably find perfectly insufferable paid from 2000 to 5000 US dollars each, to meet and greet and fawn and take #silly pictures with three guys who happen to be part of the cast of a certain TV series. With only one of them, in reality, but let's not trouble the waters. Apparently, they had a good time. I am not sure about the guy: he's not exactly the Svengali type. I very much doubt that this event will go down in history. It was as good as it gets, with the people it could attract. Entitled? Maybe. Sad? A bit, if you ask me. But above and beyond all of this, it was transactional. I pay, you drop by. I pay, you take a pic and smile. I pay, I ask a stupid question. I pay, we have a dram. For our mutual benefit.
I have no idea if these people maxed out their credit cards to be there. In theory, this is all about disposable income, cash that can and will be well... disposed of, somehow, whether it's a horrendous pair of mauve shoes or the last gadget or hey, a meet and greet. If I were Marie Kondo, I'd even dare say that parting with cash brought them joy.
Can we compare the two moments? Of course not. But both of them are the result of a (hopefully fully aware) choice.
It's been a long while I also chose to never set foot in such places, for such things. Not my circus, not my monkeys.
Stating the opposite is pure hypocrisy and pearl-clutching.
Sunset on the Salween River. Moulmein. Burma. August 2010. Taken by me.
Saint Kateri Tekawitha
1656-1680
Feast Day: July 14
Patroness: Ecologists, Native Americans
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, known as Lily of the Mohawks was an Algonquin–Mohawk virgin. Born in Auriesville (now part of New York), she was orphaned during a smallpox epidemic, which left her with a scarred face and impaired eyesight. In 1676 she was converted and baptized by Father Jacques de Lamberville, a Jesuit missionary. Shunned by her tribe for her faith, she escaped through 200 miles of wilderness to the Christian Native American village of Sault-Sainte-Marie. Kateri was known for her spirituality and austere lifestyle. Various miracles and supernatural events are attributed to her intercession.
General 1 and story 8 for everyone!
OH FUN!!!
1. Where can your Tav be recruited? Are they first encountered on the Nautiloid, or in the Nautiloid crash region? Or are they not recruitable until a later act?
we're going to go with tadpoled marigold for this, for simplicity's sake, which means that mari is in the nautiloid crash region! i think my beloved girl went a-wandering and with her amazing conflict resolution skills her recruitment event is you watching her enchant those bandits by withers's temple. they're getting hostile and trying to defend their score, mari (wizard) starts twirling her hair and going "oh i'm so sorry, i didn't mean to offend! listen, i'm really just hopelessly lost and i could do with some directions and protection, i'd make you a lovely cake in return!" and then when the bandits start gearing up to rob her she fucking wastes them in front of you & turns around with blood on her skirt like hey guys what's up :D and you can recruit her. astarion approves if you do this but all of their banter after a certain point becomes him going I Literally Fucking Hate You So Much. Gods.
evie (ranger) shows up as part of mari's personal quest, which is directly evie-centric <3 it gets weird and probably violent. evie basically begs you to recruit her as a party member and if you don't do it she will just become a camp follower anyway. you have to dismiss marigold to get her to leave your camp, and at any time while she's there you can recruit her.
thea (cleric of haela brightaxe) is recruitable in the last light inn. she showed up to confer w jaheira bc she's very stressed about her missing daughter, which means that jaheira basically shoves her at you like "hey can you take my situationship out for a walk so she stops semi hysterically propositioning me in war meetings." and if you agree: you have thea :)
TECHNICALLY ros and norie woulda come with thea, but we're spacing this out bc this is now working within bg3 party member game logic, so they're both recruitable in act 3 when you visit the tasty pastry! they're kind of redundant atp i think bc you don't REALLY need another fighter or another cleric but if you take one you have to take both.
8. Do they have comments on who the Player Character chooses to spend the night with?
marigold makes like 200 really really really bitchy and passive aggressive comments if you flirted with her at all but chose someone else OR if anyone starts romancing gale and does not ever really get over doing that for the entirety of the game to the point where a few of the gale specific banters triggered by the PC romancing him are just him going "hey marigold can you please let it go." she does not. toxic hater girl.
evie, who actually probably propositions the PC at some point, will mostly just be congratulatory (a very "hey nice look at you getting some!") but asks a little apprehensively if you're sure about astarion. seems like maybe he needs a friend, not a lover. i also think if you're romancing wyll she asks you if you're sure he's safe. sometimes those hero-types aren't as nice as they seem when the doors are closed and no one is looking.
thea is just like for FUCK'S SAKE do you not have PRIORITIES??? we have BIGGER FISH TO FRY. which becomes super funny and stupid later because i do think there's a cutscene that's the PC walking in on her and jaheira having one of those swoony and very stupid romance novel arguments like the world isn't literally ending guys cmon
roslin wants details. independently of who it is. details. share. now. gossip.
norie doesn't care and doesn't comment. you can mention it to her if you want her take and she will immediately be like do not talk to me about this. actually do not even talk to me. What is your fucking problem. THOUGH. she's gender locked (women only) and if you flirted with her or romanced her a little before settling on someone else she gets this little kicked puppy attitude like i kinda thought we had something what happened :(
#asks#bakery lady shenanigans#this was extremely fun lmao thank you :'D#looking at this like....mari my beloved forever problem#marigold baker#evie riverborn#althea march#roslin maynard#lenora chou
