'My world'

Matt isn't one to upload many videos to his personal channel, so when a video of his titled “My World” appeared on my screen, I was taken aback. He normally asks me what he can do for his videos and asks me for help editing or recording them, so it caught me off guard. I pressed my finger on the screen, and the video started playing.

The screen went black for a few seconds, until a small text appeared:

"The beauty of life is sharing it with the people you love, that's why having you by my side makes everything special. Here's a little video of our adventure together…"

I began to understand what the video was going to be about. A soft smile painted on my face. A warm feeling of love enveloped my heart. The text slowly disappeared and an old video appeared.

Video number 1. The camera was settling down, focusing on the two of us sitting on the couch watching a movie. Little 14 year old children who didn't know what falling in love meant, but were slowly understanding it.

We were both watching the movie. I slowly snuggled closer to him, and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, pulling me a little closer. We looked into each other's eyes and smiled, both of our cheeks red from the mixed feelings.

Video number 2. The camera was in a small tree, focused on us, two 16-year-olds, sitting on a small blanket, enjoying the beautiful view of the river surrounded by trees. We were both enjoying nature, the birdsong, and the silence between us.

Matt looked nervous, but I hadn't noticed. In the video, you can see that we both started talking, but because the camera was a little far away for me to see it, you can't hear much of what we're saying.

A small text appeared at the bottom saying "You can't hear it, but here I asked her if I could be her boyfriend."

On the screen, you can see that I was super happy, I hugged him really tight while nodding with my head.

After a few seconds, we separated a little, looked into each other's eyes, and then it happened. The moment couldn't have been more magical.

Matt pressed his lips against mine, and it felt like the world had paused. Butterflies danced a wild jig in my stomach.

My eyes filled with tears of excitement. A gentle smile graced my face as I watched my surprised expression in the recording.

Video number 3. I was holding the camera, showing what we had been doing. "Okay, here's Matt's gingerbread house..." I explain to the camera, showing his house that was a complete mess, while a little giggle escaped my mouth.

"I don't know what you're laughing at because you have to show yours now" Matt said a little annoyed. The camera now focused on his face, his eyebrows furrowed and his eyes narrowed, acting angry. My laughter could be heard behind the camera, which made his tense expression soften.

I quickly rested the camera on the countertop with an evil smile. "What are you doing?" Matt asked curiously.

A few seconds later a food fight broke out. The kitchen was filled with food and laughter, and we were both covered in cream and gummies.

Another text appeared at the bottom: "Definitely not going to do that again"

Video number 4. Matt was fixing his hair a bit while the camera focused on him. "Okay, after a few hours, thousands of tutorials, and many failed attempts..." Matt turned the camera, focusing on the hairstyle he did for me. "My future wife doesn't have to worry about her hair anymore, right, love?" Matt said in his sweet, peaceful voice.

I laughed softly as I stood up and walked to the bathroom to see the hairstyle in the mirror. Matt followed me and focused on me to record my reaction. A small smile appeared on my face. "I have to admit, it's not that bad..." I explained while looking at the hairstyle, which was actually really good.

Matt quickly turned the camera and rolled his eyes, trying to look annoyed while a big smile betrayed him.

Video number 5. "I'm arriving at the airport to see Y/n again. She went on exchange to London for about 3 months. Honestly, those were the worst 3 months of my life, you have no idea how much I miss her" Matt explained to the camera, his eyes filling with tears as he couldn't hold back the emotion.

Nick grabbed the camera, continuing to record Matt, "They video called every hour of the day," he explained behind the camera. Matt ignored him, as nerves were eating him up. Suddenly, the car stopped, and Matt ran out of the car. Nick, who still had the camera, focused on the scene happening in front of him. The two of us, at that moment, 20 years old, ran towards each other with our arms open, ready to give an endless hug.

It didn't take long for both of us to reach each other, Matt hugged me and showered me with kisses on the face. We both missed each other so much.

After a few minutes, we both separated a little, Matt wrapping his arm around my waist as we walked towards the car, where his brothers were. Our happy faces said it all.

"Finally, I won't have to listen to Matt cry because he misses you anymore," Chris said as he came over to hug me. We all laughed, and the video switched to another.

Video number 6. Matt was sitting in the kitchen facing the camera, it seemed like I wasn't there. "Well, I'm recording this for our wedding day..." he begins to explain but stops to take a small breath.

"I want to propose to Y/n. I know maybe 22 is a young age to get married, but she's the woman of my life. I've never loved anyone as much as I love her, and I think proposing to her would be an act of love to show her how much she means to me." Matt said.

You could tell he was nervous, but also sure of his decision. He was seen playing with his small ring, a common habit of his when he's anxious. There was a short pause and then he continued, "I don't have a ring yet, but I'm going to wait a year or two to prepare everything. I want- no. It's going to be perfect."

The tears that had formed earlier were now rolling down my cheeks non-stop. The happiness I was feeling right now was inexplicable. I hadn't seen that video, surely Matt had forgotten to show it on our wedding.

Video number 7. The camera is a few feet behind us. Matt and I are nestled on the sandy shore, watching as the sun dips below the horizon.

The sky is ablaze with hues of orange and pink, their fiery reflection dancing on the calm, crystalline waters.

As the rhythmic crash of waves provides a soothing soundtrack, we embrace, lost in the moment. Matt pulls me closer, his kiss on my forehead sealing our bond. My heart overflows with love as we bask in the golden glow of our first vacation together.

Video number 8. Once again, there we were, the two of us, sitting on a blanket, in the same forest and by the same river as 8 years ago, where it all began.

Everything looked the same - the trees, the river, the birdsong. It was all the same, except we'd both grown so much. We were no longer the inexperienced teenagers we once were, now we were adults.

Despite the distance of the camera, which was in the exact same spot as in our old video from when we were 16, you can see Matt stand up and take my hand to pull me up with him.

Matt began to speak, my eyes filling with tears as I bit my lower lip to keep from screaming with excitement. I already knew what was going to happen.

Sadly, you can't hear what he said, but I remember those words as if it were yesterday.

Matt finished his little speech and knelt down in front of me, opening a small box that contained a wedding ring. In the video, you can see the tears falling nonstop. I leaned down to cup his jaw, pulling him in for a small kiss. As I pulled away, I said yes and we embraced.

After a few seconds, we pulled apart and both started shouting. 'WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!!' we both screamed with excitement.

It was a scene I had imagined thousands of times in my mind, but nothing could compare to the magic of the moment.

Video number 9. "You know it doesn't matter what that test says, I'll always love you like it's the first day," Matt said, trying to calm both of our nerves. We'd tried a few times to get pregnant, but unfortunately, we hadn't had any luck.

We both waited impatiently for the pregnancy test result in the bathroom. The camera, resting on the counter, captured the moment of the beautiful couple.

My phone alarm went off, signaling that the waiting time was over. Matt wrapped an arm around me as I slowly picked up the test. "I don't want to see," I said without thinking. A moment later I regretted it. "No, lie, I do want to," I laughed a little at how nervous I was.

Matt turned the test over and there it was, the long-awaited news. We looked into each other's eyes, not knowing what to say. The idea of becoming parents had become a reality.

We both started crying with happiness, nerves, a bit of everything, as we hugged each other as if we hadn't seen each other in years.

A small text appeared below the video: 'The best news.'

Video number 10. Matt was setting up the camera on the living room table, while the kids were screaming and jumping all over the place. "Okay, are they ready for the surprise?" Matt asked the kids. Or rather, his kids.

They were both super excited, not knowing what was going to happen.

I was watching them from the couch, a warm smile on my face. "Yes!" the twins shouted together.

Matt went downstairs and came back up with a box with holes. The kids were screaming nonstop.

I grabbed the camera and put it on top of the unlit fireplace, to focus on the whole room. "Okay kids, this is a present from Mom and Dad because you've been very good this year. You have to keep it up, okay?" I said, trying to calm the kids down. They both nodded, their nerves and doubt eating away at them.

Matt slowly opened the box and stepped back so the kids could see. Before they could get closer, a little pug poked his head out to check out the place. The kids started jumping with excitement and ran to pet the dog.

Matt came over to hug me, planting a kiss on my head, both of us enjoying our kids' excitement. He grabbed the camera and focused on them, trying to capture as many memories as possible of the two of them.

"Now we have to choose a name," I said, knowing it would inevitably end in an argument/war. The three of them started throwing out names, trying to come up with the best one, while I laughed nonstop.

"Okay, we're going to be here for a few hours deciding, so we might as well say goodbye," I said as I grabbed the camera to focus more on the kids. "Say goodbye, kids," I told them, and they both waved and said goodbye. Then I focused on Matt, who looked happier than the kids, "Goodbye," he said with a big smile on his face. I quickly gave him the camera to film me, "Goodbye!" I said with a big smile.

The screen went black again, and I thought the video was over, but a text quickly appeared:

"Thank you for all the moments we've lived together. My love for you is eternal, and being by your side makes me the happiest man in the world. I'm so excited for all that the future holds for us. To my world,
