At least in my area and my friends', people put the naked real xmas trees out on the street for collection at some point. I think here we have a wood chipper truck that takes them on certain days?

My Point:

Neighborhood being Nice to LBM by deliberately making a Pile instead, and letting him have fun trashing it and then using it as a bonfire.

A little careful arrangement at the base for firesafety, and they can hang out with hot cocoa from a safe distance and enjoy the show while LBM goes Wild!

A PSA for all ILGR researchers.

Please remember to use the patented ILGR Anti-Bite Gloves when handling any LBM specimen. They are supplied at all ILGR facilities and can be found in both the regular PPE storage units, or in the LBM Emergency Containment kits.

Fun fact: LBMs don't consume flesh! If an LBM bites off an unprotected finger, it will usually deposit it nearby - which means phalangeal reattachment is often a viable option! (That said, a better option is wearing your gloves!)

Fun fact: an LBM can chew through a leather boot in less than five seconds!
