Day 25. almost free. almost done.

it is Fake Peppino Friday... but for some reason, the sound of clucking is in the distance? that's strange..... perhaps one of these little Fakelings has something to do with it.

around a nearby town, strange rumors started popping up, about an old abandoned building that had stood vacant for a good few years. but odd sounds had been heard from within, the sounds of hard work, heavy objects being moved, and inhuman, almost cluck-like cries. nobody knew what it could have been, and none were brave enough to investigate. until... one day, out of nowhere, the building appeared somehow cleaner, and a large sign had been hung out at the front, with the bright, colorful words:

CHIK'N PLACE!!!

who was the culprit? well, one step inside this newly refurbished restaurant and you will be greeted by its very enthusiastic owner...

the often-excited, very sociable Poultrino! she started off as all of the other Fakelings, a strange, gooey blob-like creature with hunger and curiosity. but soon after going out into the world on their own, she stumbled across a runaway definitely wild chicken, which she chased after with great interest and then gobbled up with glee. but, the feathery snack awakened a strange feeling in her, such a delicious taste, she wanted to share it with all the world! and thus gave rise to the fifth and final Fakeling...

and now, all customers are happily welcomed at her humble Chik'n Place! there is chicken of all kinds there; chicken wings, fried chicken, chicken nuggets, living chickens, anything you could possibly want, as long as it is chicken! (and all VERY legally obtained, she wouldn't THINK of pilfering chicken from other establishments for her own....) and not to worry, she is very polite and welcoming to anyone who wishes to visit! as long as you are not also a chicken, or a tasty bug or rat.

their appearance and body are quite unique amongst the Fakes as well! and though she is still made out of simple Goop like the others, her "skin" is fairly soft and smooth, almost feeling like soft fuzz despite having no real feathers! her legs, tail, and "fleshy" parts are the same gooeyness as standard Fake Peppino though. despite her strange appearance, most customers assume she's simply in costume, and very few are any the wiser as to their true nature.

though, one more very important fact to mention... you didn't think they worked alone, did you? of course not, all that Chicken isn't going to serve itself! which is why the first person to enter her restaurant was taken happily hired as the first employee!! say hello to Sue, Poultrino's favorite and only employee!! (credit goes to my wonderful friend @plebbicinnabun-arts for coming up with her! 😊✨)

she helps prepare and serve many of the chicken dishes! (and makes sure that the stuff that's served is actually edible when possible...) and not to worry, her boss treats her with great care! she is paid well in a salary of both "human currency" and delicious chicken-based foods! it might just be very strange trying to explain her job to friends and family.

but together, these two help run the Chik'n Place, and Poultrino finds decent success at running a business! her Papa is very proud of her.

i will say the one thing about my New Year's Resolutions post going viral is that lots of people have done my own resolutions so much better than me now lmao. blogger who made a whole website with ratings for their Fruit Adventures i love you. i barely remembered to take photos of all my fruits which are now just randomly scattered through my camera roll. tumblr user who managed THIRTY FOUR different pasta shapes in a year where did you find them it took me all year just to hit 20 and then i ran out of shapes available in the 2 cities i checked. showing up to your home with a bowl so i can get a little of each

For WIP Wednesday, something completely different, from my probably-never-to-see-the-light draft: The Rael Averross Guide to the Seduction of Women

“I think my underworld alias is a hit with women. You know, what they might call a ladies’ man. A real Lothario.” Sifo-Dyas’s face was full of happy light; he was clearly thrilled with the prospect of creating his undercover persona. 

“A real… what?” Rael repeated. He looked at Dooku, who tended to have a larger vocabulary, and also happened to speak fluent Sifo-Dyas. 

Dooku shrugged, returning to his salad. He had no idea what the seer was off about.  

“A ladies’ man.” Jocasta repeated with deep skepticism. “Aren’t you….?” She hesitated uncharacteristically. 

They all looked at her, including Sifo-Dyas, who seemed more curious than anything. There was a long, long pause. 

“Oh. Gay?” Sifo-Dyas blinked. “Yes, of course, obviously, I’m gay, Jocasta, you’ve known me since I was seven. I mean, stars, do you remember our teenage years?!” He impatiently waved past her at the Master and the Padawan sitting opposite. “That’s why I’m here, of course. I’ve never needed to be anything other than who I am. If I’m going to pull this off, I’ll need tips from the expert.” 

Jocasta’s eyes followed his gesture to land on Dooku, widening with confusion and deepening dismay. “....tips from…ah, from Dooku?” She cleared her throat. “Dear one, are you sure?” 

Dooku began to make offended noises - he was by no means whatever a “lothario” was, but Jocasta did not need to protest his charms with women in such stringent terms - but Sifo-Dyas was already laughing, shaking his head. 

“No, no, no. Oh, that’s hilarious. No, not Dooku, of course not.”

 Dooku’s eyes narrowed further. 

Sifo-Dyas nodded toward the senior Padawan. “Tips from Rael.”

Day 1 - "Fontaine"

Some of my crossovers are wild because the whole list is randomised. I won't be sharing my prompts just because it's niche specific to my interests lmao

Honestly I really like your take on this, I can absolutely see that. I mean gosh, this leaves me wondering how many years its been? How old is October now vs then? When did they meet? My questions about the dynamic between them only grows, but this is an incredibly plausible for a reading here.

May seeing October traped with in parabola and being one of the few still in frequent contact with her by the dreams.... October seeing May make the same stubborn mistakes over and over again, growing older herself and seeing him as more and more fallible. Augh this breaks my heart (having a fantastic time here).

Yes yes yes yes yes thats exactly the way I interpert him as well. I mean, think about it. He's so, so old, he's watched so many people, so many cities, long past his own, come and go and fade to dust. How on earth could you view people the same after that? How do you continue to interact with people, remember that they are people, and not just specs of dust who will fade.

Yes May is manipulative, and possessive, and stubborn, and many other things. He has so so so many issues.... but he's also just a very sad old man who doesnt know how to view others on the same level anymore, and its so so tragic.

Cringetober Day 12 - Niche Interest

I survived the art challenge for ah... 10 or 11 days! new record! I won't force myself to finish it since I'm so busy (and Burnout) so take this prompt that I accidentally did early :3c
