What if her unwavering belief in her friends and who they could be clouding the reality became the reason for all of their downfall in the end?

What if the experiments were a distraction that let her live in the delusion that these people she still cares about so deeply despite everything; are still alive and well somewhere, that she didn't fail at protecting them, that it didn't all go up in flames.

What if her unchanging wish for all these years was that the smart red headed girl she let slip through her fingers got to raise her kid?

What if she was distant like her parents because it hurt to feel? What if she wanted Luna to know about her chosen family, let their memory live on, but it was so painful talking about them that she felt like she could never get it right and shut down? Harry and Lily Luna 🌸

Whenever Harry got the opportunity to pick up his kids from school, he took it, especially his little Lily Lu. There was something special about the way her face would light up as she sprinted towards him to give him a bone-crushing hug. It made his day so much brighter.

Harry always brought her a flower, and she would act surprised with her hand clasped over her mouth every single time. She always complained she was tired just so she could con Harry into giving her a piggyback ride (let's be honest, she didn't need to try very hard), as she chatted animately the whole way home. Harry listened to every single word and asked her lots of questions to keep her engaged.

They would take the long way home, stop by their favorite cafe, and grab everyone's favorite dessert. Lily's just happened to be treacle tart too, so they would get an extra slice and share it at the cafe just to make sure it still tasted the same, and like always, Lily would tell Harry it's hard to tell with one slice and she needed another one just to make sure. It worked every single time. When they got home, Ginny would cross her arms and give them a look, and within seconds, she got her to admit the truth: "We only had one slice, mommy. Okay, two, MAYBE three… Fine, we had four, but only because we had to make sure it still tasted yummy."

i am so beyond frustrated by this one class right now. It *should* be an easy class. It's literally an 100 level class but i swear no one's on as much of a powertrip as professors who teach 100 level classes omgg. These weekly assignments are only worth 7 points and if you use ONE single "to be" verb (or "to have" verbs which for some reason he thinks are "to be" verbs), end a SINGLE sentence in a prepostion, use a comma incorrectly, or whatever, he takes off a point, and with the grading scale that means that you get a B on the assignment. I literally got a C on the "tell me about yourself" assignment. The questions were "where are you from?" and "what did you do during the summer" and I GOT A C ON IT??? literally so annoying.

Anyways, I forgot to take one single quiz (my fault I know, but i'm a good student i literally never do that except i forgot :( ) and now i have to be perfect in the rest of the class (and do the extra credit) to still get an A (and i'm not getting a B in an 100 level class, so far the only class i've gotten a B in is chemisty and that one was actually hard), but it's so hard to be perfect in a class when the only thing i'm getting points off on is stupid little grammar mistakes. I'm not learning a single thing in this class i'm just stressing over not misplacing a comma or writing out a number higher than eleven when those are supposed to be written in symbols in APA or whatever. I literally just spew word barf for all the assignments and then go through and do backflips to make sure there's no "to be" or "to have" verbs in them, because if you make like more than 2 mistakes he takes off points from them.
