You: „So you drive to Altissia and come back as a married man? I can’t believe this.“
Noctis: „Hm.. well, I can’t believe this either.“
You: „Marrying Lady Lunafreya… You are so lucky.“
Noctis: „I wouldn’t call myself this…“
You: „Why? Luna is pretty, sympathetic, charismatic and much more… You know her even. Could be worse. Half of the guys from the world are jealous of you. Haaa… Oh! Or do you prefer the other side? I knew it! You want to marry Prompto.
Noctis scoffs and smiles while looking to Prompto:
„Sure, I am all in for that Chocobohead…“ he jokes and continues more serious,
“ You know…“ he looks first away and than at you.
„I prefer to choose…“
You sigh: „ I am sorry to hear that. The crown is a burden especially at political arrangements…
Noctis: „Don’t be… worry more to find a righteous man for yourself!“
You: „Pah! Don’t worry, I got plenty!“
Noctis: „Not before I give my blessings!“
You: „Hey, that is still my choice!“
Noctis: „While I am the prince or soon king, I decide if he is worthy or not!“
You: „Seriously, Noct?“
Noctis: „I am joking but don’t take an asshole as your partner, ok? They should treat you right. Promise me this…“
You: „You way to serious now… but I promise you. Then,… have a nice trip and treat Lunafreya right…“
Noctis: „Why would you..?“
You: „Don’t mop around. Don’t fall asleep everywhere and eat your vegetables.“
Noctis: „Yes, mom…. So I need to go now if I don’t want to be late. Wouldn’t make a good impression.“
You : „Right! That is the spirit!“ You look at him with somewhat a heavy heart. Noctis turns to you with the same look.
Noctis: „Well then,…“ before he can leave you on the stairs from his home in Insomnia, you give him an bone breaking hug.
Noctis: „Woah! Easy or I can not attend my- Y/N…“
His heart falls. He feels your tears rolling on his neck. He wants to see your face but you still hold him.
You: „ j-Just a moment.“ Your voice trembles as you speak and hold on all your tears.
Noctis: „Hey, it is alright if you cry.“ He jumps over his word so that he is not the one weeping. You soften your grip so he takes a look into your teary eyes.
Ignis: „Noct?!“
Noctis: „Coming!… Y/N, I…“
You: „No, I am alright, Noct! I just sad I can be there…“ the last part is hard to speak because it is a lie…
You would be devastated to watch him marry another woman.
„You need to go. Lunafreya is waiting…“ You send him a smile while he walks down the stairs.
„Be Safe!“ You call out as he climbs into the car.
„You too!“
„I am safe here in Insomnia!“
„I know!“ Little does he know what would happen the upcoming night.
He sees you the last time through the car window waving good bye. Ignis, Prompto and Gladio sit in silence knowing their feeling for each other. He sighs as he hung his head down and touches the fore seat. The world can be cruel …
“Y/N…” he mutters as he imagines your smiling face while calling his name.
It should be you waiting for him, wearing this dress , walking down the aisle towards him, kissing him and being his queen to rule Insomnia.

Astarion and Tav/Durge bard Headcanon
Astarion with a Tav(or Durge) bard always seemed good to me.
Imagine, Astarion listening to They having fun playing alone, and standing there nosily listening. And they wouldn't mind, after all, bards love receiving attention from an audience! Astarion would make comments and compliments, always talking about their beauty and talent.
Astarion would end up inspiring songs, increasingly romantic and full of passion. The vampire would certainly feel like an inspiring muse, flattered.
"Ah Darling... You play with so much desire! Do you have... anyone in mind?" He knew it was himself.
The dedications would only have names after nights of passion, where They would not be ashamed to say that they like the vampire. And Astarion would have his ego sky high when he heard the songs.
When he confessed (in act 2), They would respect his wishes not to have sex. And better yet, nights would pass without touching. Just chatting and, of course, enjoying some music. The songs would be less spicy, and more romantic, almost as if reflecting the first great teenage love.
In the end, no matter what, Astarion would love to have They, his beloved bard, by his side. Playing happy or sad music. Dedicated or not. It was beautiful to see his loved one having fun doing what they loves. And of course, Astarion appreciated their talent.
When all the fighting against the Absolute was over, Astarion would encourage They to pursue their dream of being bards. He would be there for every performance, small or large. He would try to get contacts, maybe even help with shows.
But at the end of the day, They would be there, playing soft music while Astarion relaxes on their shoulder. Sometimes, the sound of music speaks more words and means more than gestures and touches.
"This is a gift..." The passionate vampire thought whenever he found himself humming his beloved's songs.
Comments, likes and reblogs are always welcome. Feel free to support the artist with a follow or by asking. 🌙—Goddness Lunafreya.

Can I get and info dump on Sciosa? What if anything inspired you to create her?
yes, always yes.
Sciosa's name actually came from an old mary sue character of mine from middle school, though the character we know now as Sciosa is are from that character. The OG was a whiny crybaby who couldn't do jack shit to save herself and relied on a toxic lover to do everything for her (ew). Sciosa now is borderline over powered and is a very complex and flawed character.
I've said this before but Sciosa can smite a city from existence, but that's not what makes her interesting. It's what got her to that point that she would even consider it and why she would/wouldn't do it. (I use that example a lot when it's not her who is out there destroying cities lmao *eyes Zemorri*)
POTO's whole theme is power corrupts everyone who uses it, and having the mc be such a powerhouse makes it so fun to write. We follow her though 4 books and with each book the line between between "good" and "evil" grows thinner. She's not an antagonist and never will be, I wouldn't even say she's an anti-hero. She's just someone who has repeatedly had her patience and trust be tested by the gods, fate, and the very mortals she was put on nyrus to protect.
When I first created her, it was for a story that has since been scrapped but her role in that was actually very different. Zemorri was the hero and she was to act as a mentor to him and repent for the sins of her past life. She was very bitter and angry, and rarely had a filter on how she truly felt. That part hasn't really changed too much, though her anger doesn't really appear until POTD. Though she still doesn't have a filter, and if she does filter herself you best better worry.
Sciosa at her core is a young women who laments for a "normal" life. She did not ask to be the Dawn Star but she has accepted her fate to the best of her ability and tries to carry the burden with as much grace as she can. She's 30 at the start of POTO, but that's is so, sooo young for both Zaentri and being born into the bloodline of Duskinfall. Zaentri being half Zaentiraeal from her mother and the bloodline of Duskinfall having an extended life expectancy to help maintain the bloodline until the Dawn Star is born. Mentally she is about 18. Imagine asking an 18 year old to make sure ALL living things on earth are sheltered, with have enough food and water to survive until the Hells are defeated (which could be months or years) that there is enough kindling to keep fires lit as the sun will not rise until the demons are either killed or returned to the hells. On top of that she is expected to rally an army and aid the gods in their fight. Girl I'd be pissed off too, she should be at the club.
Oh and there's a lot that inspired her!! Ciri from the Witcher, Daenerys from ASOIAF and GOT (actually season 8 Dany got me curious of how much would it take to truly break a person to the point of pure destruction. Saying this with my full chest, I'm not mad she went crazy I'm mad it wasn't properly written but I digress) Honestly even a bit of Yen from the Witcher too ngl. There's a picture that I've shared before that was basically the birth of POTO because I wanted to write a scene of it but being me I can't just so one scene I had to do a whole series. Weirdly enough even Lunafreya gave me some inspiration for both Sciosa and the High Priestess' of Zenier. I'd say even a little bit of Zelda, though I haven't played any of the legend of Zelda games in a hot hot minute lol. Last one but it just occurred to me and made me laugh but I think at times she reminds me of Jesus? Bro tell me why so many of these people end up being killed... dany, lunafreya, jesus I swear to GOD Sciosa does not die LMAOOO
Oof okay. That was a lot. but thank you for the ask wyked!! I don't talk about her enough tbh, Zemorri kinda just steals the spot light a lot.
#ask#p: poto#oc: sciosa#juno write a short and sweet answer for one challenge failed#i guess you did want an info dump#okay don't feel too bad now

since ever crisis is doing a crossover with ix it made me think that maybe they’ll do events with other ffs too, and my fave is xv so heres my propositions for who i think would get who’s outfit
cloud: noctis, they’re both the main characters of their ff games so it just kinda makes sense, cause i can only assume thats what they did with the ix collab and giving cloud zidane’s(?) costume (i think but i might be wrong i know literally nothing about ix…)
zack: prompto!!! noctis’ best friend!!! silly little puppy dog men!!! i think zack would probably fit prompto the best overall
aerith: lunafreya! because luna’s dress reminds me of that one skin they already gave aerith, the wedding dress looking one! and i think aerith would look really pretty in luna’s outfit :) plus they’re both like the healer kind of characters
tifa: probably cindy i think, cindy’s outfit kinda reminds me of tifa’s bathing suit outfit (i’m not entirely sure why but it just kinda does) and that one feels more likely than pairing tifa with iris, but i do think tifa would look very cute in iris’ outfit too! its really hard to choose when theres only like… 3 women in xv
barret: gladio! they’re both just the buffest ones tbh… not really any other correlation but i think the outfit would look good on barret
sephiroth: ardyn… i just think it would be funny to see baby sephiroth dressed in *that* monstrosity! plus i think matching the villians would make sense like matching the mcs, like cloud and noctis! although actually i also think ravus’ outfit would totally suit sephiroth!!! like 100% it would look so good!!! (it would also further my seph/aerith sibling hc)(no i don’t actually think they’re siblings i just think the ideas fun and cute)
bonus: yuffie: iris!!! if tifa doesn’t get iris’ then i think yuffie would also suit it super well!!! i would love to see yuffie as iris, plus character wise it makes more sense to me for yuffie to be paired with iris than tifa getting iris…
bonus 2: rufus: ravus! since sephiroth as ravus wouldn’t really make sense, pairing the secondary “antagonists” does! plus they’re outfits are both really cool and mostly white and i just overall think rufus would look super good (i love both ravus and rufus a lot so i’m highly biased)
bonus 3: red xiii: ignis… i think it would be funny trying to get him into one of ignis’ suits… or, idk how they would do it, but umbra or pryna!
cursed bonus: hojo: verstael except hojo gets the verstael episode ardyn treatment where you find out that hojo in his younger years was actually a cute twink that looked similar to sephiroth
blessed bonus: if we say fuck gender and give them the main 4 we can have cloud/noctis, zack/prompto, aerith/ignis (i wanna see her in like any ignis outfit… the suits…), and tifa/gladio (IMAGINE! JUST THINK ABOUT IT! YOU SEE THE VISION! THE OPEN SHIRT?! SHE WOULD LOOK SO GOOD!)
#i would actually really like to see a ffxv collab one day… even if the ix collab was kinda a let down… i wish we got story :(#ffvii#ff7#final fantasy 7#ever crisis#ffxv#ff15#cloud strife#zack fair#aerith gainsborough#tifa lockhart#sephiroth#yuffie kisaragi#rufus shinra#hojo#barret wallace#red xiii#noctis lucis caelum#prompto argentum#lunafreya nox fleuret#cindy aurum#iris amicitia#gladio amicitia#ravus nox fleuret#ignis scientia#ardyn izunia#verstael besithia#this is a much longer post than i expected i’m so sorry (im actually not because i had fun making it… sorry)

Imagining Clive in Dissidia Opera Omnia is so fun even if none of these happen:
"So what are summons like in your world?" "We uh, are the summons..." "WHAT?!"
"Whats Cid like in your world?" Clive, not wanting to talk about Cid's death, "I am Cid." (Omg the main character is Cid!)
Clive 🤝 Rinoa use dog in a fight.
I wonder if Clive's FR would be with Rinoa or would a summoner be funnier?
Everyone owing their journeys to the blessing of the Crystals Vs. Clive's journey destroying the Crystals and their curse. (I wonder what that convo would be like.)
I just like imagining Clive becoming Ifrit in a pinch and someone just slowly puts their summon stone away while watching in awe.
Clive not knowing how his joruney ended and not getting memories on how it ended because of the ambiguous ending.
Not Clive, but I think a Lunafreya and Jill FR would be perfect for the Shiva association.
Welcome to the club, Clive, and co.
#idk if rinoa is a support on a fr or not#also idk much about lock (yet) but i know he has phoenix association so#Locke Joshua FR?#of course clive cid fr would be great but the balthier cid one is also perfect so rip#y talks#ff#ffxvi#ffxvi spoilers#dissidia#dffoo#dissidia opera omnia#clive rosfield

Sylleblossom
Noctis' treatments have been going well...well enough that it seems evident that the royal Lucian family may be leaving soon. Lunafreya returns to that room in her home that houses Noctis, a red, leather bound notebook in her hands. With this Notebook of Memories, she makes a simple request.
Word Count: 1,041
FFXV: Reimagined Table of Contents
<- Previous • Next ->
Another day, another book in hand. Though, this was not just any kind of book that Lunafreya held; it was a red, leather bound journal embossed on the right corner with the image of flowers with petals that flared out, and a bird flying overhead in golden ink. She held it knowing that the time she had with the Prince of Lucis was limited, and she wanted to keep their budding friendship going till it could fully bloom.
Behind Lunafreya were two dogs that often accompanied her -- a pair of black and white canines. One a cross between a shiba and a malamute, the other more of a spitz.
Lunafreya rapped her knuckles against the door, waiting patiently until someone opened it. When finally the door opened, Lunafreya ended up looking at a woman dressed in a gown of green, her brown hair pinned back neatly, and a kind look on her face. Lunafreya had not often been in Aurae’s presence a lot of the time -- generally, she was not allowed over when Aurae was helping quell Noctis’ pain.
“Young Princess Lunafreya,” Aurae greeted, offering a courteous bow to the young royal. “Noctis is doing quite well today. Are you here to visit?”
“Mhm!” Lunafreya hummed in response. “I have a gift for him since I know you are to return to Lucis sometime soon.”
“That’s very kind of you,” Aurae commented, taking a moment to look over toward Noctis. Noctis was leaning over in his bed, peeking around the blue floral design partition that separated the entrance from the rest of the room. It was a sight that caused Aurae to smile in amusement before looking back toward Lunafreya and motioning into the room, inviting her in. “I dare say the young prince is eager to have some company.”
Reining in her want to gleefully skip inside, Lunafreya entered into the room with a hurried step, a smile growing upon her face. Both dogs that were at her back followed after her. Her appearance from beyond the partition made Noctis perk up with a smile of his own as he swung his legs over the edge of the bed in preparation for her to spend time with him. Once Lunafreya had a seat on the bed with him, she handed the book she had out toward him.
In the meantime, Aurae quietly excused herself with a warm smile on her face, closing the door as she departed. Noctis took hold of the book just as the door clicked shut, his attention going toward the exit for just a moment before he turned the leather bound book over in his hands.
“It's a notebook,” Lunafreya commented. Both dogs had taken a moment to pace and find a place to lay down not too far from them. Noctis followed them with his eyes briefly before he turned his attention back down toward the notebook.
“Oh.” Noctis opened it and flipped through the empty pages, noting the blank stationery. He eventually turned the pages over till he got to what was making a noticeable lump in the paper. Set there with a golden wax seal was a pressed dried flower, blue with flared petals. “Nice flower.”
“It's the same kind we sewed our crowns from.” Lunafreya brought her hand to her hair, feathering her fingers against her flaxen tresses as she imagined a sylleblossom crown adorning her head. She then leaned in to look over at the flower with a fond smile.
“Oh yeah, ‘sylleblossoms,’” Noctis recollected, running his fingers along the page close to the flower, a small smile growing upon his lips as he took in more of the appearance of it. His expression faltered somewhat before he looked at Lunafreya more directly. “Is there…anything you want me to do with it?”
“So…” Lunafreya began, kneeling down and resting her arms on the bed. “Take the notebook with you when you go back to Lucis. I'd like you to put something in the book and send it back.”
“‘Send it back’?” Noctis looked confused for a moment. He closed the notebook and looked at it with a furrowed brow. “How am I supposed to do that if even us being here is supposed to be secret? Won’t…Won’t Niflheim find out if we try to send each other stuff?”
Lunafreya looked over her shoulder toward the two dogs who basked in the sunlight that fell upon the tile. Her expression softened. “Those are Umbra and Pryna… They're divine messengers sworn to the family of Fleuret. They will see that the notebook is passed safely from you to me, or me to you. You need only call them, and they will hear you.”
Nodding, Noctis replied with a simple, “Sure.” holding the book closely. He hummed in thought, soon asking the important question: “What kind of stuff should I send back?”
At this, Lunafreya’s eyes brightened as her smile widened with Noctis’ interest. “Memories. Experiences. Things you don’t want to forget. Things you want to share. Stickers. Souvenirs. Anything that you think is interesting or worthy of your time.”
Reaching over, Lunafreya brought the empty notebook back to the pressed sylleblossom. “This is my first memory that I wanted to share that you can keep every time the book comes back to you. A reminder of your time here, and a symbol of Tenebrae.”
“Then…” Noctis mulled over his thoughts. “Oh! What if I sent you back a flower from Lucis? We have these really nice ones. Auntie Aurae calls them ‘morning glories’, but Dad calls them ‘moonflowers’. I can have Auntie Aurae make it like the one you have of the sylleblossom and send it back so you can see it!”
“I’d love to see it!” Lunafreya replied, her grin uncontrollable. “I don’t get to see a lot of flowers outside of the ones we grow here in our gardens. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a moonflower.”
“I think you’ll really like it. It’s big and round,” Noctis described, recalling how the flowers looked in his mind. “They only bloom at night. But…”
Noctis pointed a finger down on the blank page opposite the sylleblossom and gave Lunafreya a confident smile. “I’ll write down anything neat about it for you, too!”

How long has it been since we last saw each other? Decades... It had been decades. I haven't seen him since his decade long slumber, it was as if he just abandoned me... Which he very much did.
How would you feel if you had to be separated from your lover for a whole decade because a stupid ring froze him in time, only for him to announce that he's getting married to another woman when he wakes up?
Would you feel sad? Angry? Betrayed even?
Not me though... Even though Noctis cannot be mine anymore I was just glad he was back and he was safe

Now enough background of my current situation. After ten years I was finally back in Insomnia just... Not for the reasons I'd imagine.
After ten years of not stepping foot at this place I was here, walking to a hotel two hours before Noctis' wedding to meet him in secret as if I was his fucking mistress...
...
We've been sitting in silence for the past thirty minutes. Finally Noctis decides to open his mouth and say something.
“How—“ He clears his throat. “How have you been?” Noctis asks after a tense moment.
"I've been... Alright... Though Prompto is a bit furious you just cut contact with us out of nowhere" I said, trying to sound as casual as I could be
"What about you... You happy with Freya?"
Noctis lets out a heavy sigh, he looks away briefly, as he lets out a quiet scoff.
“Of course Prompto is. He’s always been too emotional.”
At the mention of Lunafreya, Noctis goes quiet for a few seconds, seemingly contemplating something before he replies. “She’s a nice person.”
"I'm glad she's treating you right..." I said, my tone was as dry as a desert.
He nods slowly. Silence fills the room, and Noctis takes a seat on the edge of the bed. He gestures with his hand for me to come sit next to him.
“I— There’s something I want to talk to you about.”
"I'm all ears..." I say softly, I didn't really want to be in his presence too long since it hurt to even look him in the eyes
I pull out a pack of cigarettes
"Do you mind if I smoke by the way?"
Noctis’ eyes fall on the cigarettes, and he nods. “I don’t mind. Go ahead.”
He leans forward, looking away for a few minutes as he seems to carefully consider his words. When he finally speaks, his voice is uncharacteristically soft. “Do you think—“ He hesitates again, before sighing, and continuing. “Do you think we— *us* was a mistake?”
"To be completely honest with you... In our current situation yes"
"If the marriage never happened or we didn't date prior to it we would have been much happier"
Noctis nods slowly,
“Right,” he replies under his breath. He takes a moment to collect his thoughts, before he turns his gaze to me again. “I have to ask, why did you agree to come?”
"Even though we aren't together you're still my friend... And since Promoto wouldn't have come even at gunpoint I wanted to at least be there for you"
"I'm sorry if my presence caused Freya any unease"
After my last comment silence fills the room, Noctis was just averting his gaze for a few minutes before deciding to speak again
“No, don’t worry. Luna understands.” He pauses, then glances over at you. “Are you okay, though?” he asked me in a concerned tone
"In what sense?" I say before putting the cigarette back in my mouth
He raises an eyebrow at your question, as if the answer was obvious. “You know… with— this". Being here, being around me, and seeing me marry another woman. I can’t imagine being so comfortable if the roles were reversed right now.”
"Of course... I'm not comfortable either... There is still a feeling inside me saying that this isn't fair... that I should be the one wearing the white dress but I still have to support you"
We fall into silence again
...
...
...
"Akira..."
...
"You don't have to force yourself to do this"
"You shouldn't force yourself to watch me get married to Luna"
"I'm not going to get mad at you if you leave"
I felt a rush of relief and sigh
"Very well then... Goodbye Noctis I wish you and Luna the best...

❝ Baaaaaabe. ❞ Comes a call from the living room. Nothing of an urgent or distressful quality, merely a beckoning tone. However, when Ignis does finds Cindy, she is lounging upon a fluffy beanbag, finished novel now resting upon ever growing middle, and in a bit of a predicament.
❝ Iggy… ❞ She looks up to him with mossy hues, wide as saucers and a misty resignation to her ordeal. She does not want to cry over this, tries so hard to keep those sudden waves of emotion at bay. But her chin occasionally lifts with each inhale as she stifles down any sobs attempting to break loose.
❝ I think … ❞ she tries in vain to wiggle herself free, ❝ I think m’stuck. ❞ // forever crying over mama and papa scientia (・ัω・ั)
" --- yes, darling? " His response is immediate, cooking tools already being lowered to the counter so he may prioritize her in full without delay. Since childhood, he has always been overly mindful of tone and response time... NEEDED to be, to keep Noctis alive and out of trouble, for the boy had not been given the easiest or most merciful of health records. Natural, then, that his dutiful advisor would continue this habit even in the presence of others, and especially so, his wife.
Well loved and worn leather protests as he adjusts his gloves before peeking into the room, trying to deduce what need she has of him before having to ask. The remote, is it too far away? Mayhap she is hungry, thirsty? A pregnant woman differs only somewhat from a spoiled prince, in that their needs are largely similar, but Ignis is not against ENCOURAGING the former to make use of him even for the smallest, most mundane of tasks.
Including, but not limited to, helping her from this cushioned prison.
" Oh, darling... " He tries not to laugh, he really, TRULY does, but his amusement is clear as day 'pon his visage even without an audible sign. " 'Tis inevitable that this would occur at some point. You need not feel ashamed. " The moment they'd found out they were to be parents, Ignis had consulted every female he knew for advice and beyond, and read more books and articles than even he could keep track of. One thing that been both notable and recurring? ' Stuck Stories, ' as they had humorously named them. The couch, the car, the bathtub--- it seems every location imaginable, even UNimaginable, made the list of places a woman heavy with child had gotten stuck.
His expression finally stops betraying his endeavor to refrain from making her feel worse, and now, he may focus on freeing her. Lowering to her level, he first plucks the book from the swell of her belly and sets it atop the nearby table to be retrieved later on, before an arm nudges its way 'round her backside for support. Opposite hand slips into hers, and on the count of three, he carefully pulls her upwards and onto her feet with a light grunt.
" There. Welcome back to the world of the upright. Are you okay? " He remembers how it had felt being so helpless. Having to rely on others for the most basic of things whilst he was recovering following the moments after Noctis and Lunafreya had saved him from a self-chosen death. He hadn't been down for long, much to Gladio and Noctis' worry, but the few days his independence had been stripped from him had been agonizing.
Cindy, too, is much like her husband in that she prefers to do everything on her own, oft running herself ragged as a result. 'Tis a wonder they've both made it this far, surviving both daemons and terrible work habits, the latter just as dangerous as the former.
" Come now, do not cry; I've got you. I am here. " He peppers kisses along her cheeks and jawline, hoping to offer a smidgen of comfort in a time where emotions and stress were high, and only certain to worsen as the fated day got closer. " What may I do to make it better? "

A leap of faith. But in what has Lunafreya placed her faith, exactly?
The view was haunting. She shall never forget it; the lifestream leagues beneath her feet, coming ever closer as she plunged into its depths. Seeking him out in this blind, grasping attempt to cling to something that she herself does not understand. From there, it all becomes fuzzy. Slivers of a conversation come to mind, but it feels jumbled somehow, like a disassembled puzzle.
Ah, but emerging - that she remembers clearly. Coughing and spluttering, a man easily twice her muscle mass and a whole head taller tucked beneath her arm. She'd struggled to pull him free, feeling frailer than she had in years. But he was far worse off; shallow breathing barely visible as he remained utterly unresponsive. She can remember every step with great clarity as she'd brought him here on chocoback, to this abandoned house. It's nice enough - plenty of nice places were abandoned after meteorfall, where people scrambled to join communities owing to resource scarcity.
She'd laid him peacefully on a bed, and there he has been since. Some days, Luna does nothing but sit at his side and talk, hoping a friendly voice might reach him. And sometimes she almost thinks she sees his eyelashes fluttering as if he were at last to wake - but no. It is her wishful imagination every time.
❝I knew it could not have been you,❞ she would tell him. ❝Please wake. Please - prove me right. You are good. You are the first good thing to come to me from beyond my borders. Do not take that from me.❞
Her pleas would meet naught but dead air until one day, she brings a fresh vase of flowers into the room; and upon seeing him, she drops it. The glass does not shatter, but the sound of it echoes far too loudly. For a moment, she is speechless. Her legs shake, and it is all she can do to put one foot in front of the other. ❝You are awake...❞

State of the WIPs
A lot of my writing has stalled due to work, chronic pain in my foot, and Tears of the Kingdom. It’s really hard to be creative on stuff.
But I figure it’s time to give some progress reports on the WIPs I’ve got going at the moment. Especially since I’ve not talked about them in awhile. Everything will be behind the cut.
dal segno al coda
This is the monster fic. Of course. I’m currently at 99,462 words currently in the draft files for the three sections. This does not include the out of place snippets that haven’t been written into the main story or content from the original draft file that I want to keep. All in all, I’ve written over 200k words for this story, but not all of it will be kept in the long run.
Currently about 95% of the story is outlined, though. Which makes life much easier for me in some parts.
There are sections for Lunafreya that I’ve been writing in part 1 that lean heavily in the spy / political thriller type genre. This is a type of story I absolutely love but feel a little overwhelmed dabbling in. So part of my ‘research’ for this has included reading stories in this genre.
Additionally, I’ve been working on sections of part 3 that I can’t really post any WIP content for, since I need to keep as much of it as secret as possible. However, I’ve also written the last chapter and the epilogue. Those were things I couldn’t shake. And there’s a Meanwhile, Elsewhere... chapter that is post-story. On top of that, I’ve also written a post-segno side story that may, or may not be published some day.
I’m clearly having too much fun dabbling around in the mental images I’ve got of the post-story time period for Eos. I don’t know if I want to publish these things because I don’t want to color what other people end up imagining post-segno Eos to be like.
Additionally, the story ended up needing the creation of an original character. I’ve named him Valens.
I was able to get an incredible commission from @teapots-and-hats for his design. And while I don’t want to post the whole art yet for reasons, I do at least want to post this portrait at the very least and a small snippet that features him that may, or may not, be kept in the final version of the story.
That chill ran down his spine again as the swordsman looked towards his advisor. Somehow, despite not being able to actually see his eyes, Noctis just knew that he could tell where the man was looking. This meant that somehow - impossibly - this man had magic. To make matters worse, it was somehow resonating with his own.
"You're impossible," Noctis mumbled softly, as he started to make some connection over this black haired, black leather clad stranger. This drew the attention of the swordsman and this time, Noctis felt like his breath had simply been taken from him. All of that magic he could feel was turned on him in an instant.
"Am I?" As the swordsman approached, Noctis began to feel his legs buckle again. It was not from a physical force this time, but instead the sheer overwhelming presence that buried itself into the very core of his being.
Noctis just wanted to shout for Luna and Ignis to stay away! Stay far away! However, he found himself frozen within the stranger’s overwhelming power and he was unable to even speak a single word.
Once he was near Noctis, the masked swordsman settled onto a knee and reached out with a gloved hand to gently wrap leather-clad fingers around Noctis' chin and force the prince to look up at him. Noctis fought hard to keep his eyes forward and not recoil under the magic being pressed against him.
"I'm not the one who is out of time," the swordsman's words were heavy and cleanly punctuated.
Of course, Noctis thought angrily to himself. Of course he knows.
Oh yeah. I’ve also got a set of special dividers integrated into the workskin I’ve been working on for segno. It’s not the ones I’ve used here, but they do use this same style. I might as well use this as a preview as well, right? They have a very special purpose, and I’m eager for those to be seen as well. However, I want to keep the actual dividers a bit of a secret still.
Last, but not least, I’ve been in the process of designing and planning a ruins to kind of serve as a ‘final dungeon’ of the story. Sort of. It’ll make more sense down the line, I promise.
Speaking of the ending. That’s actually written. I know exactly where I’m going in segno now. I just need to get there.
You can find other stuff I’ve posted about this story under the tag ‘#dal segno al coda stuff’
Twilight
This little AU that has the chapter by chapter ‘end of life’ story for Noctis in an AU where he survived the end of the game. An important aspect of the story is that he gave up his royal title and has begun living a hermit-like lifestyle in Duscae while hiding his true identity.
I promised a bunch of other side stories and I finally got Granting Another Light out not too long ago.
There are multiple shorts that I’ve got outlined and need to finish. They have the following titles:
A Quiet Morning - This details Noct’s morning routine late in the story. Just a simple bit of fluff with no real direction. It just adds color to the whole story.
A New Restart - This is the short about the “incident” that was mentioned in the main story where Noct blew his cover, and how it forced him to change his lifestyle.
The Puzzle Box - The making of a certain puzzle box that has an important role in the main story.
Some Things Never Change - Noct runs into Sania after a job. The worst part is she recognizes him.
There are still three more stories worked up that don’t have titles yet. And a fourth that’s just going to be a bunch of random texting shorts between Noct and his friends.
Inconvenient Blessings
This will be a small pre-canon one-shot that is Regis-centered, following Regis and Clarus at a special event for a Children’s Day celebration, where little 6-year old Noctis is with them due to the holiday.
It features a very clear moment of “kids say the darnedest things.” And when that kid is the Crown Prince, those little things can be more troublesome than normal.
This may be the final outcome from an incomplete and untitled story that I finally posted to AO3 sometime ago. This little short explores the idea that the general public likely has superstitions around the Lucian royalty and their divine connections with the Crystal. And children mucking that up.
Nothing is fully written on it, but this has been outlined and it’s ready to start. I just need to get it more clearly in my head so that I can begin writing on it.
Untitled Psych Horror Story
This 5-chapter jaunt that I’ve started working on delves into psychological horror, which I’ve never played around with in writing before. I’m a little excited with the idea of the story, but a bit nervous on it at the same time. This is because it’s a genre I’ve never written before. However, once the idea for this story got into my head, and the more I played around with ideas for it, the more I found myself wanting to actually write the damn thing.
The most important thing that has me very daunted on this story is that I feel like I’m invoking stuff I’ve come across from other fic writers like @breakfastteatime and @every-lemon and I’m a little terrified and hope I can do their works justice. (by the way, read their fics, they’re amazing.)

"Iris," Gladio mumbled as he walked into the living room and saw her lounging on the sofa with a magazine. It looked very... off from the kind of thing she'd read. Cover lines on it included topics such as Increased Spam Calls to Insomnian Citizens Require Legislative Intervention and The Ideals of the Lucian Royalty: A Bygone Dream.
"Hey, Gladdy," she said cheerfully from behind the magazine, but yelped as he abruptly pulled it from her hands.
"What's got you reading this kind of shlock?"
"What are you talking about, give that back!" It wasn't too hard for the older of the siblings to hold the magazine out of reach.
Gladio looked at the magazine to show her the cover lines, when he stopped short after glancing at it again. The cover was now different from what he had seen before. It had originally looked like some sort of business magazine, but now? It was just a local fashion magazine. He quickly flipped through the pages to make sure he was seeing things. When he convinced himself that he was, in fact, imagining it, he just tossed it back onto Iris' lap.
"What's gotten into you, Gladio?" Iris sat up on the sofa as she snatched the magazine into a hand.
Gladio rubbed at the side of his head. "I'm not sure. Today's been a very odd day."
---
So there you go. A bunch of stuff on works that I’ve got on the sidelines and the monster fic itself. I’m always happy to answer questions in my ask box for these stories, as well. Especially since some of them are now playing with canon and stuff that was never really fully fleshed out in the original game.

Hit me with more FFXV astrology headcanons 💯
Alright so Ignis is my third fave, he is an Aquarius, born February 7th with the same birthday as Aerith Gainsborough from FF7. Ignis definitely radiates Aquarius vibes, which is Saturn-ruled, and tho Ignis is younger than Gladio, he definitely gives dad energy, and is 100% the Dad (or mom?? Parent I guess) of the group.
Aquarius Sun would give a Pisces, Aquarius, or Capricorn Mercury. I think Ignis is a lot more sensitive than we give him credit for, so I think Pisces is possible, but his method behind things is very Saturnian, meaning he’s methodical, hard working, serious - I mean, look at his outfit! That can’t be easy to run around in, but he’s gotta look business profesh at all times. So I think he’s got some Cap placements (or Aquarius, since both cap and Aquarius are Saturn ruled).
Also, he’s the only one even mildly aware of who tf Imperial Chancellor Izunia is lmao, when Ardyn decides to introduce himself while Titan is having a rampage, and Noctis is like “huh” so Ignis really is the only one who knows what is even going on at any given time lol. This just speaks to his maturity, he also absorbs a lot of knowledge easily - perhaps having a Virgo placement somewhere, or Gemini (both Mercury ruled). Like seriously imagine Noctis just flailing around WITHOUT Ignis or Gladio or Prompto lmaooo. He’d be a mess. But yeah Saturn gives people like “old soul” vibes or like, seeming way more mature for their age.
I FORGOT in my discussion of Prompto, but I’m going to insert it here lol. Every one of them is sus of Ardyn, EXCEPT PROMPTO LMAO, and he is like “maybe we can ask Ardyn for help” at some point, and it always makes me laugh. That blind trust feels very Libran (also Piscean, but I digress) and Libras CAN be more naive and try to see the good in everyone bc they are so instinctively drawn to partnering with people and building relationships. Poor Prompto 😭
I do think with Ignis’ cooking skills he has some Cancer placements. He isn’t cooking for himself, he’s cooking solely for his friends to increase their strength and skills. This is so Cancerian and speaks again to his being the dad of the group. So maybe he’s got a Cancer moon, or something.
I have a friend who is a Capricorn rising, with Cancer Sun, and Aquarius moon, and he’s SO like Ignis, and so I think Ignis would have some mix of Aquarius, Capricorn, and some Cancer. POSSIBLY Virgo from how fancy and proper he is (altho that could be the Capricorn influence).
I do want to talk about both Noctis and Lunafreya being Virgos, which feels like a weird choice, but I’ve rambled long enough lol.

reading last rb and reduced to kicking and screaming and generally imagining myself harmful stimming in my head because LUNAFREYA NOX FLEURET DESERVES SO MUCH MORE.
her entire schtick in the game is being one of two things: A. the oracle and B. noctis's one-time-childhood-friend-turned-conveniently-politically-arranged-fiancée.
nearly every single appearance made by luna in ffxv proper is defined by one or the other and never in the present time. hell, the only time she appears outside of a flashback or "meanwhile, somewhere else in eos...," she serves her purpose as Thing A mentioned above to make an announcement, then serves her purpose as Thing B and promptly dies.
i love luna with all my heart. i truly believe in the relationship she has with noct. but i swear to god it SCREAMS satellite love interest in the same way that post describes peter's relationship with every love interest who is not MJ.
that's not getting into the fact she's still dead in the alternate episode ignis ending. putting aside issues of luna being the satellite love interest, do you think noct will ever be able to move on from losing his first love? bro spent the majority of the second half of the "prime" timeline being stuck in his own head. i can say with 77% certainty that the answer is no.
and if we assume the lucian royalist society is similar to what we have in our world (i.e. the performance of the white heteronormative "ideal"), he'd be expected to continue the "bloodline," whatever that is. (why else is ardyn so hellbent on ending noct?) that's not even getting into OTHER issues related to kingship and running a country that is recovering from War, Death, Famine, and Pestilence.
anyway, luna deserved so much more in ffxv proper than what the game presented of her.
p.s. i know i'm missing vital pieces to the rest of her characterization by not watching kingsglaive or reading her section of dawn to the future. but as much as i love the xv universe having multiple entry points, i hate that it's not in the game in the first place.

When Nyx had woken in the rubble of what used to be Insomnia, he was obviously quite surprised. Making his way around Niflheim soldiers so he could get out of the fallen city had been hard with his injuries, but eventually he had managed and joined a group of civilians headed for Lestallum. A potion had made the pain bearable, but he had surrendered to professionals once they were somewhat safe.
Now he was here: alive and without a purpose. He was a hunter, a warrior – surviving the ring had never been part of the plan. So imagine his sheer surprise when he saw a very familiar face not long after his arrival to the city. It almost felt like the gods had answered his prayers for a new purpose.
"If it isn't the Princess herself! I'll be damned, you actually made it out," he kept his voice low, worried about anyone unwanted hearing him, but could hardly hide how relieved and ecstatic he felt at seeing her. He shouldn't be too surprised though, Lunafreya had quickly proved that she had the will to overcome anything thrown her way. Still, it was a relief. It felt like something had gone right in the shit show that had been the Niflheim invasion.
"Did Libertus really leave you to fend for yourself?"
#sylleblosscm#verse; viva la vida#|| i'm admittedly a bit unsure about the exact timeline of luna's journey#|| but hopefully you can work with this!~

this is fandom-related but also bad childhood-related and it gets kind of dark, so i'm putting it under a cut just in case.
as i play through FFXV for the third time, i'm finding i still have a really hard time sympathizing with Ardyn, even knowing what i know about his background. and i've been thinking about it all week and i think i finally understand why.
a history of suffering does not give someone a free pass to hurt others. and the idea that it does, is exactly what perpetuates generational abuse.
my father had a terrible childhood. he was surrounded by abusive adults. and it genuinely hurts me to think about some of the things he went through. but my bigger problem is that my father grew up and then he did those same things to me.
during one of many fruitless conversations we've had over so many years, when i brought up my C-PTSD, my mother tried to get me to sympathize with my father. "He had a bad childhood, too," she told me. "He went through a lot of similar things. You'd probably be able to relate to him!"
...yeah, i'd "be able to relate to him" because he made sure my childhood was just as bad as his was. he made the choice, as an adult, to continue that cycle of abuse on his own kid.
and this is where FFXV comes in.
Ardyn suffered. badly. he went through things no one should ever have to go through. being betrayed so severely, then locked away for so long, all the feelings of worthlessness that must evoke...i can't even begin to imagine his pain.
however.
then he woke up and decided to take it out on people who never did a damn thing to him.
Noctis is not Somnus. he is not Ardyn's hateful younger brother who took the throne from him. the Lucis Caelum line, as it exists in the present day, is 2,000 years removed from the person who actually hurt Ardyn.
but that doesn't stop Ardyn from tormenting Noctis, from stabbing Lunafreya to death, from kidnapping Prompto and torturing him, from stomping Ignis in the face and playing mind games with everyone. it doesn't stop him from making everyone absolutely miserable, people who didn't even know who he was and had absolutely nothing to do with his suffering.
Ardyn's "revenge" on the Kingdom of Lucis is directed at the wrong people. there is no one alive who actually contributed to his pain.
and, unsurprisingly, it reminds me of my own family. because i sure as hell wasn't alive when my father was being abused. i didn't make any of those choices. and i didn't choose to be born. but i became a victim of it just the same, a victim of misdirected anger and unresolved trauma that didn't belong to me and yet it somehow became mine to bear.
i feel bad for my father's child self, yes, but i feel worse for child me.
and i feel bad for Ardyn, but i feel worse for the people he hurt.

like i said. if you wanna suffer ill be happy to watch. but also the only thing i know about ff 15 is that one max0r video which while very funny is probably not 100% accurate to the story
now this is giving me too much power. I'll be happy (and sad) to oblige. And give you a quick overview.
and yeah i doubt that one video is a good description of it. so.
cracks fingers.
One of us is going to end up crying by the end of this. it's going to be me. but you're welcome to join me.
Final Fantasy 15 is the story of Noctis Lucis Caelum, crown prince of the kingdom of Lucis.
The Kingdom of Lucis is facing a crisis as the ever-growing Niflheim Empire is trying to expend and take the kingdom over, at the same time as a sickness called Starscrouge is slowly killing people. When the night falls, daemons come in the dark, and ever since those events have started happening, nights are growing longer in longer.
As the Empire of Niflheim is discussing peace treaty with the Kingdom, a clause is made on their contract to have Noctis marry Princess Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, who's been held captive by Niflheim for about a decade, and who has been Noctis's childhood friend and penpal. She is the Oracle, chosen by a prophecy to be the only person capable of healing the Starscrouge before the sickness takes hold.
King Regis decides to send his son to his marriage-to-be right before the peace treaty is officially signed, accompanied by his three most trusted friends - Ignis Scientia, who's been working as a royal advisor, cook, caretaker ever since they were children, Gladiolus Amicitia, who's been Noctis' bodyguard and royal trainer for a very long time, and Prompto Argentum, Noctis' school bestie who, despite having no relation to the royal family, is the only person outside of it Noctis managed to get close with.
But soon after their departure, the peace ceremony goes array- King Regis is murdered and the Kingdom of Lucis fall to the Empire, now leading a manhunt for Noctis to kill the royal lineage, and recover the Ring of Lucis, a powerful artefact carried through the family that, especially once coupled with the Magic Crystal that is the source of all magic in Lucis, can connect its wielder with the Kings of Old to access tremendous power left by the Gods.
See, there is a prophecy in the Lucis lineage that one day the One True King Of Light, chosen by the Gods, will be able to purge the world of the Starscrouge and Daemons, ending this curse at all cost. and, as you can imagine, this burden will fall on Noctis's shoulders as he goes through his new journey to awake the old gods and reunites the soul weapons of the previous Kings in order to unlock the full potential of his power.
The game mostly plays as an open world where you explore the valley with your besties. There is a lot that is very difficult to communicate that is just about how it feels like a camping simulator. You don't want to stay up at night for too long because Daemons are overleveled and bitch to kill, so you try to level up, do your missions, and enjoy your time connecting with your friends, learning more about them.
From Prompto's insecurities about his place in this journey, to Ignis's unwavering loyalty that would oversee Noctis's protection to the end, to Gladio devoting himself to being the shield even when everything starts to fall apart, you end up caring a lot for this group of misfits who are just trying to enjoy their journey knowing it might be their last.
You spend the game mostly having fun with them. Finding place to camp, new recipes for Ignis to cook, Prompto is constantly taking pictures and selfies to remember the journey by, you stop to every ponds to be sure Noctis can enjoy all of the fishing he can, you meet up with Gladio's little sister, it's really a really heartful game in ways that are very difficult to articulate.
... until shit hit the fan.
You're introduced to the real antagonist of the game, the Empire's chancelor, Ardyn Izunia, who's been pulling the strings all along, while also helping Noctis unlock the powers of the Gods.
And when finally it's time for you to go find Lunafreya for their wedding and hopefully linking the power of the Oracle to the King of Light in order to finally purge it all.....
Ardyn will brutally murder Lunafreya in front of Noctis, killing with her any possibility to stop the Starscrouge and the endless nights around the corner. The death itself is pretty heartbreaking, showcasing Noctis' very difficult time to deal with her loss, and Luna was defined by how she was willing to do everything to carry her duty to the end, so it was really sad.. but Luna was not very well written unfortunately (she appears maybe 15mins in the whole game up until this point) so i don't have as much to say about it :( it was super heartbreaking but yeah... yeah.
During this confrontation, Ignis will lose his eyes trying to protect Noctis, as Noctis was unconscious and Ignis grabbed the Ring of Lucis to ask for the powers of the Gods to protect him, and the Gods burn his eyes off. (it's so hard to properly explain but Ignis becoming blind ends up developping a lot of problems in the plot, of course, but especially in the gameplay. Like you spend the game having Ignis cook all sort of things and exitedly tell you about what he's going to cook today, and then your first campire after this incident you see the only food you can cook is some canned bean and it's just. so sudden in the way to tell you Ignis is changed for ever by it.)
Shortly afterward, Ardyn will create illusions that will push Noctis to push Prompto off from a moving train, resulting in Prompto getting kidnapped and experimented on by the Empire.
all while Gladio is losing his faith in Noctis because everyone is expecting so much from him, that they're their only hope, and yet Noctis is so lost in his grief that he doesn't focus on the bigger picture, while everyone he loves is losing everything around them.
When you finally decide to take down the Empire's HQ to get Prompto's back, is when a lot of truth starts to unravel.
You learn that Prompto is the clone of one of the highest funding members of the Empire, who was created to become one of the mindless drone enemies you fight the whole game, but has been smuggled out of the labs before he could be turned as such - only keeping a mark on his wrist reminding him of who he truly is. As much as Prompto always wanted to be Noctis' friend, he always feared that him being a clone, a failed weapon made by the enemies, would eventually disgust Noctis, and he feared all his life that Noctis would turn against him. so you can imagine the panic for Prompto when Noctis did attack him due to the illusions.
Most importantly though, you learn that Ardyn Izunia is actually Ardyn Lucis Caelum - one of the prince of Olds, the first person who was prophetized to be the King of Light. Bahamut himself, god of gods, gave him for missions to purge the Starscrouge, and Ardyn did just that, and took all of the Starscrouge in the world inside of his body, eradicating it from this world... and when he came to ask what he was supposed to do now, the Gods turned on him and left him to his fate, as he was not the one to actually serve to finish this prophecy. (if i recall correctly they legit say it wouldn't be narratively satisfying. Fuck the Gods, fuck Bahamut, all the homies hate Bahamut no matter the universe.)
Then, as the gods refused to clean him from the scrouge, his brothe, Somnus, tried to kill him before locking him into a magical prison and a magical slumber for the centuries that followed. Somnus became known as the Savior of Lucis, he took the credit for the actions of his brother, and build his kingdom on his ashes, continuing his royal line until Noctis' birth out of it.
When the Niflheim Empire started to come to power, they freed Ardyn, and figured out how to be able to use his power -- Ardyn could unlean the Starscrouge inside of him and have it spread into the world.... and we learn that people who "die" from the Starscrouge actually become Daemons, creature of the night, and the more people become Daemons, the longer the night will last.
And so Ardyn unleashed all of his power, all of his suffering, but himself has been turned into a Daemon at this point due to the sickness ravaging his body for centuries. He only feels pain, and he cannot die, for the sickness made him immortal. So while the Empire woke him up to use him, Ardyn decided instead to use the Empire to take revenge on the descendant of his brother, destroy the world he had sworn to save, and finally by the end, being killed by the True King of Light in the way the Gods will find narratively satisfying.
And finally, as our four companions are trying to escape the forteress, Noctis finds the Crystal, and with all the power he has gathered since then, and prompted by Ardyn telling him that the only way for him to know how to defeat him, Noctis approached it... and was taken in by the Crystal.
In there he met the Kings of Old who told him about the prophecy. The King of Light will pure the world of the Starscrouge and the Demons by taking out Ardyn for good.... but since Ardyn cannot die, his soul will always come back into his body, the King of Light must die as well in order to kill Ardyn's soul in the afterlife once its there.
Noctis therefore learns that by the end of his journey, the only thing that awaits is his own suicide in order to finally put Ardyn to rest.
The Crystal kept Noctis in it for about ten years. For ten years Noctis could do nothing but wait, as the Night fully took the lands over and destroyed everything. Only small camps here and there managed to survive and fight -- and his three friends have been trying to do their best for the people's survival, while being torn apart at the sudden loss of Noctis that day.
When Noctis finally returns, he can meet with his friends one last time. And tell them what awaits him.
youtube
For one last time you team up with your dearest friends, all of them having to be aware that they're walking you out so you can kill yourself to finally bring peace.
youtube
Before entering the final room to the final boss fight, Noctis turns to his friends, and ask Prompto to give him one of the pictures he took. You go through all the pictures you took as Prompto as you decide which picture Noctis will hold on in his last moments, holding on knowing they were the people who brought him on this journey to start with. In there Noctis will share his final words with them.
And finally you leave your friends behind. Finally it's time to fight Ardyn as he himself only awaits for death. Two dead men giving each other a last fight, two pawns by the prophecy made by the Gods, tool in a narrative that never saw them as humans, no matter how hard they clang to their humanity and to the people they loved.
One last final fight, finally killing Ardyn. And watching Noctis climbs on the throne of his father, and empale himself with all of the swords of the previous kings, in order to finish this fight in the afterlife.
And so the game ends. Ardyn is dead. The Starscrouge and Daemons are purged from this world. the Kingdom of Lucis can live on and see better days. And Noctis is dead as well, standing on the throne of his father.
In the last moments of the game you see him in the afterlife where he reunited with Lunafreya. He's holding the picture you picked in the previous scene. Looking over his friends one last time.
And then in case it's not enough you have the DLCs. Ardyn's DLC tell you more about how the Gods set them up for narrative satisfaction to start with. Then you have all three friends' DLC, set at points in game when you don't know what happened to them. But all of them ends with some final goodbye of some sort.
Gladio's DLC is the most underwhelming one in general so i don't really know what to say about it, and it doesn't really have a big payoff.
Prompto's show how he felt, abandonned in the snow when Noctis almost killed him. Having to wrestle with his existence as a clone, and figuring out if Noctis even wants him by his side. This DLC ends on a last conversation between Prompto and Noctis right before Noctis entered the crystal, in which Noctis tells Prompto he hopes he'll be by his side as he'll try to be a good king. Prompto promise he will be, always.
youtube
And then. Ignis' DLC. god that fucking DLC.
You really see the events in which Ignis stole the Ring to try to protect Noctis there, the event that rendered him blind. You see how much he fights out of devotion for Noctis. And you learn that when he put the ring on, the Kings of Old told him Noctis was going to die. Ignis spent his life protecting Noctis. In fact, you go through various flashback of their first meeting. Ignis has to learn that the kid he's protected his whole life, is going to die, and there's nothing he can do about it, because this is the fate that has been drawn on him.
On the first ending of the DLC, There is one last goodbye. Where Ignis wants to follow Noctis to the end and Noctis has to stop him, telling him that he wants him to live on.
youtube
(so that's the scene where i was crying so hard i ended up tripping in the stairs)
BUT THEN Ignis's DLC has an alternative ending. an ending where when Ignis hears the plans the Gods had planned for Noctis, he tells them, screw you. I'm never going to let it happen to him. I'll fight all of you if i have to and i'll save Noctis from this cruel fate you have planned.
And so in this ending, Ignis doesn't let Noctis walk into the Crystal and they work together, in an alternative way, until they can save him and put him on the throne.
and let me be clear: this ending is impossible by the game's lore. It's purely a fanservice fix-it ending, a what if, Ignis' ultimate proof of love that is enough to screw over the prophecy hundred of years in the making.
Where Ignis manages to save Noctis so Noctis can actually live on as the King he was raised to be. For ever at his side.
SO. WELL. WELL. I NEVER RECOVERED.
(and i am in fact crying as i'm writing all of this)
all of that while the main theme of the game is a Stand By Me cover by Florence + The Machine that will forever rip your heart and will leave you crying your eyes out as you finish this game, especially after the true ending, watching Noctis' die, and then hearing this fucking damn song.
youtube
Anyway i never fucking recovered from it. Like, never.
Like, even a summary doesn't do it justice. My first playthrough took me hundreds of hours. I spent hundred of hours with those kids. Enjoying their banters, seeing them protect each other, fight with one another. There's so much of their dynamic that is so deep into the gameplay, the way your companions will check on you during a fight, the moments they'll pause to have a high five, those moments of pure happiness where you know they're having fun by each other's side.
and Noctis being such a good character you really get to love and for what. And for what!!!!!!!! to get him killed by the end???? like for crying out loud. literally.
So yeah that's the speedrun of what FF15 is about. It's about tearing my heart out of my chest, that's what it is. (and others themes but you get my point)
Anyway. Yeah. Here you are. Here you know FF15's story.
and btw there was a little webseries set right before the event of the games, telling you how each of those friendships started. if you ever goot curious through reading all of this, i definitely recommend it. (the playlist is from newest to oldest though so be sure to watch on the right order)
was it worth it.
#*puts hands on my face and starts screaming*#i started a replay not so long ago#it's fun when you try to pretend the ending isn't there#but then you remember the ending in every fucking things you do and you cry :)#any mistakes in the summary is due to me being an emotional mess if i ever did anything wrong#ichareply#ichafantalks ffxv#anonymous#sorry i gave up and posted videos but you will watch them. you will get me. you're welcome.#also if you're here from gbf all the seiyuu are in gbf#in japanese noctis' is Aglovale's seiyuu. Prompto's elmott. Gladio's Deliford. And Ignis is Mamoru Miyano (not in gbf. yet. but you know hi#im more used to the english bc i played in english tho#(mostly bc the subs kept jumping and some banters weren't subbed so i had to compromise)#(the english cast is very good tho)#but yeah. yeah.

Hello, watching the South Park special about the panderverse, I came up with a headcanon for Final Fantasy Assassin's creed prompt from Relaxing One's Muscles to Take a Fist, by that I mean that you (if you can, only if you can) write what the scene or story would be like (as you did with the Assassin's creed prompt from Relaxing One's Muscles to Take a Fist in which based on the Dada idea you wrote parts of the fic before completing it and uploading it to your page on ao3).
Here is the headcanon: Noctis after marrying Lunafreya, is somewhat upset because Lunafreya had to emergency abandon their honeymoon in altissqia to attend to an emergency, Lunafreya tells Noctis that she is staying and enjoying the stay since she will not be able to return in time, Noctis in a moment of weakness is about to call a prostitute but is interrupted when Gladio arrives to ask why Lunafreya left, when Noctis explains everything and what he was about to do, Gladio to prevent Noctis If he gets in trouble for calling a prostitute if Lunafreya or Ravus finds out, Gladio proceeds to fuck Noctis.
Meanwhile Ravus is happy that his sister has to leave Noctis on their honeymoon, but then begins to suspect that Noctis might be cheating on his sister, so he asks Ardyn to go investigate what Noctis is doing. Ardyn upon arriving in Altissia sees that Gladio is fucking Noctis, after hypnotizing the two and finding out why Gladio is fucking Noctis, Ardyn decides to join, after Ardyn has fucked Noctis he comes up with an idea , he returns to Ravus and while he sleeps he hypnotizes him to believe that he loves Noctis and that the reason he hates him is because he really loves him, after having hypnotized Ravus Ardyn returns to altissia so he can continue fucking Noctis, Meanwhile, Ravus, asleep, dreams that he is fucking Noctis twice in the throne room of the citadel in front of everyone.
As the days go by Ravus receives photos sent by Ardyn in which Noctis is seen being fucked by various men (Gladio, Prompto, Ardyn, Nyx, Cor, Ignis) all with their faces covered (except Cor, Nyx and Ardyn, the three of them are those who take the most scandalous, provocative and explicit photos and videos) and in various lewd poses and with Noctis covered or dripping semen, Ravus gets angry because he doesn't understand why Ardyn sends him this and why he gets excited looking at the photos while imagining that It's him in the picture fucking Noctis instead of someone else; until one day Ravus receives a bunch of videos along with a note from Ardyn that says "I hope you enjoy it, by the way I had to call for backup since I had some things to do and couldn't stay, if you decide to join call me I'll pick you up right away." and in less than a day you will be in altissa" when he plays one of the videos he sees that Noctis is being fucked by Prompto, after Ravus masturbates watching all the videos that Ardyn sent him (in each video Noctis was being fucked by a person different), calls Ardyn and demands that he take him to where Noctis is, once there he proceeds to fuck Noctis while complaining that if Noctis wanted a cock so bad he could ask him for it and he would gladly fuck him, then From that everyone (Gladio, Cor, Nyx, Prompto, Ardyn, Ignis and Ravus) takes a turn to fuck Noctis, while everyone sleeps Noctis can only think about how great their honeymoon was.
Wow that is a very long and detailed out idea. Not that I mind, of course! I don't know if and when I'll be able to get around to write it, if I can. But it is also something so delicious to read as it is. I do love when someone needs to get fucked and just left all by themselves. Of course, Noct getting fucked by everyone is such a delight too~
