Hello, what question do you recommend or what advice can you give me for writing porn? An amaiga and I are playing a game in which each of us must write a story or fic on a specific topic, I played porn but I really don't know how to write it, the friend recommended that I try reading or writing it to improve and get used to it, but I honestly don't know where to start or how to do it well, I know that practice helps to perfect writing but I just don't know how to start, I appreciate any advice, suggestion or indication you can give me.

We simply write on the roulette the topic of what to write and what the roulette lands on is what the person who spin the roulette has to write.

Alright, so I'm not the best at giving advice. (At least, I think so.) It is nice knowing you would ask, so I will try to help in how I write my fics. Maybe it will help you or not, but it is what I can give. Other than that, definitely would recommend reading writing books online or getting them from your public library.

1. What are you trying to write?

Not all porn/smut is the same. What are you trying to convey with your writing? Is it something tender, intimate, erotica, down right just written porn, or a combination? That is where you want to start. Once you have an idea narrowed down, stay there. Of course, you can move around, but you do want to have a focus on what YOU want to write. Do you want to write two people just getting off together or do you want to write a moment of tender love and sex between two partners? That helps you focus.

2. What is the "plot" scene/story?

So, like a plot in a story, the scene is/can be the "plot." Grant it, if you are writing a larger story, this won't be all the story is about. But the smut is a major part or the reason to write. So, what is it? Jerking off, fucking, kinks, something wild and unheard? You want to get to what you want to happen. (Ex. Person A fucks Person B with a strap-on for the first time or Person A comes home horny from work and wants to fuck Person B while they are working from home.) Like any story, you gotta know what is going on.

3. Outline the story

Now, not always a must for me, or if you are someone is just has a bolt of inspiration and just writes it all down. But a good outline will help you remember where you want to go, what you want to do, characters saying things, etc. It organizes your thoughts and gives you time to flesh out parts of your writing as you move along. The outline can be barebones as "Person A comes home, finds Person B in bed, climbs in bed, sweet talks and touches them, asks to fuck, they fuck, kisses good night." That's it. It could be more in detail, if you have a really specific idea in mind. But it is like the summary of the story.

4. Who is in the story?

Grant it, with fanfics -which is what I write- establishing characters are not always needed. I do write just some NPCS sometimes, which means I have to give them something to anchor them to the story. If they are your own characters, you have to present them with their own characteristics. What kind of person, who are they, what are they like, etc. They establishes the players of your story and gives it depth. Porn does this with "roles" (babysitter, plumber, hiker, etc.), but with writing you have to help further create the image for your reader.

5. Write

I know that this is a big jump. What, just write? But this will be your rough draft, or second if you count the outline. But I'm not kidding, writing does help. Even if you are stuck, just write to help unstick. Write what is going on and keep going until you finish or want to start. Now, if you have never written a piece of writing ever, that is a separate help that requires you to really get some help on. But, assuming you do, then write what you have planned to happen. Even if it is "Person A fucks Person B until they both come. The end." I doubt it will be that short, but it can be just the barest of what the story will be. Because the next part is probably what is tripping you up.

6. Senses

This is important for smut. Not just the words used to convey actions (fuck, cum, pound, thrust, gag, etc.) But what does it smell/feel/sound/taste like? You want to give your readers that experience. It doesn't have to be all of them or a flowery and poetic piece of art. But senses help the readers know more about what the characters feel. Gives them the chance to feel the excitement, the heat, the arousal, the nausea, whatever. After writing, go back and add more details. Add the sweat to their skin, the taste of kisses, the heat, the emotions, whatever. Sex isn't always intimate, porn isn't always crash, and smut doesn't have to be just genitalia together. But, what is going on, needs the support of our senses to help craft it more in our minds.

7. Rewrite or Edit

Some people fully rewrite their first draft. I have on occasion. Some people just edit. This might be even the second or third time editing or writing. But this is where you just keep making it what you are trying to write. What you want it to be. Hammer the mistakes out and add in more details to give it more life.

8. Done

Now, your final work should be done. You should have a work you are happy in. Is it perfect? Probably not. Most things aren't perfect. But you wrote it! It is yours. Bask in that. Share it! Hide it! But you wrote it! Be proud of that. And keep writing! You only get better by writing more.

Since it was my first, that is partly the reason. But I also just didn't want to write for the sake of hitting a word count, because I know that would feel more like bloat than what I like. Maybe the next KH fic will be longer.
