Would you do Peter and his spouse welcoming their first child to narnia if they had never left and gone back to the professors house
ft. pevensies & f! reader’s daughter (& peter x f! reader) — the chronicles of narnia
╰₊✧ welcoming the birth of the first heir of narnia┊0.7k words
setting: the golden age contains: mentions of labor & one of death
➤ author's note: i probably went off prompt because i assumed that you meant peter & the reader having their first kid in the golden age, but i didn’t focus it on them and focused it on the kid so feel free to send in something else!!
news that the queen had gone into labor spread like wildfire throughout the palace and spilled into the rest of the kingdom, becoming the only thing anyone could talk about for the day since the realm hadn’t seen the birth of a son of adam or daughter of eve in a hundred years after the reign of the white witch. all of narnia held its breath in anticipation for the safety of the queen and the healthy arrival of her child, knowing that the magic of the lands would protect her yet still nervous at the slim chance of a worse-case scenario. one half of cair paravel was bustling with maids running around like headless chickens to tend to their queen while the other half didn’t feel like they could even speak above a whisper for these hours out of nervousness, many simply loitering about instead of working and patiently waiting for an update since they didn’t feel like they could do anything at all until then.
oh, but when the first piercing cry of an infant rang throughout the hallway, it was like the entire world stilled for all the attention to be focused on the first heir of the prophesied monarchs: a daughter of eve with the same royal sapphire eyes as her father and the smile of her mother that shines brighter than the sun. the next high queen who will someday rule with the same grace and wisdom as her parents once did before they eventually pass, but for now, she is a little bundle of joy who doesn’t even know her own name, much less how important she is or the future she’s destined for.
peter couldn’t help but shed a tear of happiness at the sight of her, sitting next to you in the bed and gently holding her for the first time. a product of your shared love and devotion for each other through thick and thin, so frail and delicate placed perfectly in his arms and without a single thought in her little head as she stuck out her pudgy arms at him to touch his face. and just like your love that started out small, she will grow into something so beautiful and powerful that its power will be written into history books about the beginning of narnia’s golden age.
lucy is gushing over how cute she is and immediately runs over to pinch her chubby cheeks, so thrilled that she’s no longer the youngest in the family (even if she’ll always be the baby to her siblings) and to be the cool aunt that she’s always dreamed of becoming— the one who helps her sneak out of boring lessons for an adventure and the one who shields her from her father’s scolding once they get caught, she’ll always be your daughter's favorite relative because of all of the whimsical memories and helping her to always be a child at heart.
susan is calm as always with a glint of excitement and adoration in her eyes when she sees her new niece. she’ll act like a tutor of sorts for her as she grows older, teaching her about the ways of royalty and proper etiquette for young ladies (which are often the very classes that lucy occasionally assists in skipping). despite that, your daughter will deeply appreciate her older aunt for everything she does for her: for helping her out when she fights with you, for teaching her that a lady doesn’t always need to be submissive, and for all the knowledgeable advice that she will carry with her for her entire life.
edmund is just in awe at the very fact that he is an uncle, knowing that this day would have come inevitably and still in disbelief that it happened. he’s a bit of a bad-influence uncle, accidentally teaching your child swear words, helping her prank her father on occasion, and swinging her around on his shoulders when she’s still little, but he always means well and teaches her that being nobility doesn’t mean that you need to give up your sense of humor.
mr tumnus was the one to announce to the people that the queen safely delivered a healthy heir, a daughter named aurora which has latin roots meaning “dawn” to represent the dawn of her generation of rulers. she will be a beloved monarch who will look over narnia and its inhabitants with the same love that her parents raised her with, eventually receiving the worthy title of “high queen aurora, the gracious.”

Can we get some Ghoulcy nsfw hcs?!
Of course you may. I've had requests for Ghoulcy for a minute, but I get so weirdly nervous at the idea of writing for these two. Thanks to everyone who's reassured me about those feelings; you're the best. I'm dipping my toes into the pool, so I hope you enjoy! Thanks for reading!
Cooper Howard/The Ghoul x Lucy Maclean NSFW Headcanons
She's incredibly ticklish, which he discovers early on by accident and eagerly uses against her (that is, once he's sort of adjusted to being allowed to touch someone/allowing someone to touch him). It's an easy way to subdue her when they get to wrestling around, which happens more and more frequently once they start to get touchy, but before they get truly intimate. It's a playful, mostly innocent way to blow off some steam and touch one another (which they're both desperate to do) without anything being too weird, and it often turns into Cooper teaching Lucy a thing or two about fighting. Once they start sleeping together, though, it often turns into Lucy pinned to the ground while Cooper holds her in place with one hand, working his fly open with the other, already grinding his fully hard cock against her before he fucks her breathless. Those big prey animal eyes of hers activate the predator in him like crazy.
He refuses to take off a single article of clothing that isn't the duster or the hat, but once they start to get really close, he'll shed things. It would start slow, though. Rolled up sleeves to expose his forearms, a little sliver of his throat and chest exposed after he undoes a few buttons. Eventually he'd take his gloves off, wanting to feel her soft skin under his hands more than he wants to hide them from her. It's a very rewarding risk to take; the first time she feels his bare hands touch between her legs, she cums nearly instantly, not just from the way he manages to make her feel physically, but from the overwhelming joy she feels at the level of trust he's showing her.
Lucy is so used to having Chet and his very obvious attraction to her around that Cooper's aloofness drives her absolutely crazy at first. Initially, she couldn't care less if the old jerk is interested in her, because she hates him. She hates everything about him and she tries her hardest to not be like him. But the more she gets to know him, the more she realizes how similar they already are, she starts to develop what she realizes is a little crush on him. That's embarrassing enough for her (and the feeling is mutual, right down to the embarrassment), but it's even worse when she starts to be nicer to him, flirt with him, even, and he barely responds. Slowly, she increases the obviousness of her attraction, but even when she's basically laying it out on the table without explicitly saying it, he brushes her off, doesn't even seem to register her moves. Granted, she isn't insanely experienced, but for that very reason she also isn't very tactful about it...the old man simply doesn't believe she knows what she's doing. Growing up in the vault has just made her that friendly, he tells himself. Writes her off as naively, unintentionally coming across as flirtatious, assuming she'd never be with someone like him, no matter how hard she tries to demonstrate otherwise. She basically has to grab him by the collar and shove her tongue into his mouth to convey her meaning and get it to stick.
Speaking of Chet, Cooper teases her mercilessly about the "cousin stuff" thing when she lets it slip, at least at first. Eventually, though, he lets her live, even starts to pry a little about it. What exactly does "cousin stuff" entail? He wants to know how far she's gone, and even though the answer is "not very, really", he still feels an ugly sense of possession start to wrap around his brain at the thought of another man touching her, feeling her skin, making her feel good. When they fool around early on he just can't help himself, asking "Did he touch you here?" the first time his hands find their way under her shirt, into her pants, "Did he make you feel like that?" the first time he makes her cum. It's pretty embarrassingly needy in his mind, but she happily reassures him that anything she did with Chet was out of boredom, basically, and that he could never make her feel the way Cooper does.
He doesn't ask about Max, though. It seems to him that the two likely didn't get up to much in the time they were together, and it's pretty clearly painful territory for her to discuss. He avoids asking her about old paramours when it comes to genuine romantic feelings, and hopes she'll have the courtesy to do the same. Discussing sexual histories is one thing. However, once the two realize they're falling in love themselves, they'll have to have a whole long, awkward talk about it. He's told her about Janey plenty at this point; she's the reason he keeps going every day, so it's hard for him to not talk about her once he has someone he trusts to talk to. He never talks about Barb, though, mentioning "Janey's mother" offhandedly at best. When he finally tells Lucy about her, about how their marriage ended, he cries. Well, he doesn't quite cry, but his voice breaks and his lip quivers in a way that shows more vulnerability and emotion than he has in forever, and it makes Lucy want to hold him close, protect him. After their big talk, they have sex. After they have sex, they exchange "I love yous" out loud, face to face for the first time.
She isn't completely blind to how possessive Cooper is of her. She knows how territorial he can be, and the thrill-seeking side of her wants so badly to try and make him a little jealous. However, she also knows how unreasonable he can be, as well, and she isn't really willing to put anyone else's life or limbs on the line for a little extra excitement. It's wise of her, since she doesn't really grasp the full extent of the older man's desire to keep her for his own. Really, all she needs to do is laugh at another man's jokes a little too loudly, smile a little too big at him, and the minute they're alone he's bending her over the most stable surface he can find and pumping her full of multiple loads, slapping her bare ass beet red as he does it. She'd never admit to how much she enjoys the spanking, but obviously she can't hide how soaking wet it makes her.
The moment he initially uses that lasso on her for the first time, she instantly develops a rope kink. She doesn't really know that that's what it is; all she knows is that any time she sees him using it, she can't look away, can't stop thinking about it for the rest of the day. Especially if he uses it during any kind of combat. He'll notice her looking, and he figures he knows what she's thinking, but he's a little afraid to tie her up too much, always secretly a bit afraid that she'll randomly decide (or reveal) that she hates and finds him repulsive in the middle of them having sex. He doesn't want to fully restrain her, but when he finally decides to use it on her just a little, tying her wrists together above her head as he teases every inch of her naked body with his tongue, her reaction makes him much more agreeable to doing so again in the future. Maybe one day he'll feel comfortable enough to full-on hog tie her. It would drive Lucy crazy.
Similarly, he's got his own little thing for watching her sleep. He doesn't partake, himself, not wanting to deal with the vulnerability of unconsciousness, both physical and mental, but seeing her so relaxed and sweet and exposed often gets him going. Once it comes to light, she's agreeable to him touching her, using her while she sleeps, but he worries about waking her up. Good rest is rare in the Wasteland, and he wouldn't want to deprive her of something so important for smoothskins just to have sex with him. So, despite him certainly finding the idea of somnophilia very appealing and despite her being open to the idea, he almost always refrains...unless they're staying somewhere especially safe, or she's sleeping harder than usual. Even then, all he typically allows himself is to touch her a bit while he strokes himself off. But sometimes he simply can't help himself and he'll spend long, slow, agonizing minutes silently undressing her just enough that he can slip his cock inside her. He's never woken her up yet, but they always go again the next morning when she wakes up and realizes what's happened.

I've been macking on our neighbor. Lemme watch?
Barbie dolls: Locklyle x gn reader
Word:2k
Summary: Lockwood and Lucy both think their neighbor (🫵) is hot and hilarity ensues
Warning: poly ppl, um you and Lucy have sleepovers and kiss, a few sex jokes but like what'd you expect it's me, Lockwood is a bit of a horny perv, he doesn't really do anything he's just got a rabid vibe about him, you wear a sweater, it's insinuated that Locklyle is bi4bi but idk, George doesn't make an appearance, Lockwood is a nerd and can't flirt with ppl
Lockwood hated to say it, but his neighbor was hot. Every day as he went out to get the mail, you were leaving your front yard to walk to what he assumed was work. He would stare. He didn’t take pride in it but his favorite part of the morning was ogiling you. Lockwood pretended not to, pointing his head towards the mail in his hands but staring at you from the corner of his eye.
Even worse he loved to talk to you. You had said hello once and that sparked Lockwood telling you good morning every day. You smiled and replied before stalking off down the sidewalk. Eventually, Lockwood would go back inside with a grin brighter than the sun, lighting up the kitchen.
Lockwood wasn’t the only one. Lucy saw you every time she went out to water the front garden. She caught you as you were coming home from work. Even tired you were hot. Once she complimented you on your hair and you smiled so wide Lucy thought she might faint. You complimented her in return but she didn’t hear it the blood pounding in her ears was too loud.
Then you started talking over the fence when you came home. You told her about your work and Lucy told you about hers. Eventually, she got further than Lockwood. She even reached your bedroom for a ‘friend's sleepover’. Granted she wished with all her heart it wasn’t friendly but you had to start somewhere. Lucy left before you had to get ready for work and by the time you were walking out the door, Lockwood was ready to greet you by the mailbox.
He was next to travel into the friend zone, even getting invited to lunch with you. Not much happened during the lunch, his hand brushed yours when he handed you the salt but that was about it. You just thought that house, and company, was packed full of friendly people.
After the third or fourth sleepover, Lucy kissed you. You were both having downtime after socializing for hours with each other. You pulled out a book and Lucy started a game of solitaire on the floor. You were lying on the bed while Lucy’s back was pressed to the side of it. Your hand traveled to her hair when the book wasn’t enough stimuli. You twirled a piece of hair around your finger as she worked on her game. It irked Lucy.
It made her want to live on the floor next to your bed forever. She didn’t want to lean because it might make you move your hand. She didn’t even want to breathe wrong. Obviously, Lucy didn’t want to overstep her neighborly boundaries with you but she didn’t want to wait forever for one of you to finish prancing around the bush. She stood up, your eyes following her in surprise. She tipped your head up with her hand and ducked her head down, meeting your lips. You didn’t waste time, flinging your book away so you could pull her up onto the bed with you. You didn’t make it much further than that, but it was a perfect step in the right direction.
You and Lucy started flirting over the fence instead and often said good night to her with a kiss. Yet, Lucy still had simmering feelings for Lockwood. And Lockwood still hadn’t figured out how to say much of anything to you. You however were conflicted because how do you tell your hot neighbor you were already macking on your other hot neighbor?
Lockwood, as lovely as he was, was a hot mess. He knew he liked Lucy, he was pretty sure he liked you, but something strange was happening under his roof. Lucy was acting weird, giggly, and offering to go get the mail. Which she did not get the privilege of doing.
You greeted Lockwood all the same and he decided he did like you. Now what to do with this information he wasn’t sure. How does one go about liking two separate people at the same time?
They caught a case. It was going to pay well too so Lockwood was quite excited to get started. They were waiting for a Taxi. Once it showed up they would pile all their bags into it and head off for their case. Lockwood was anxiously sitting next to the window, waiting and waiting. Then he saw it, he wasn’t sure if he’d ever seen a more beautiful thing. And then Lucy joined him by the window. She peaked out, pulling the curtain back a smidge. She was currently snacking on a protein bar. She raised a brow at Lockwood and took another bite of her bar.
“What?” She asked, her voice muffled. Lockwood shrugged, still staring at the mid-afternoon sun catching in her hair. Lockwood shook his head, finally feeling his lungs greet air again.
“Nothing. You’re just…” Lockwood trailed off, feeling like he shouldn’t voice his feelings if he knew he couldn’t even like one person at a time. Lucy reeled back, furrowing her eyebrows.
“I’m what?” She asked, obvious hurt lacing her voice. Lockwood quickly leaned forward, realizing his mistake. He shook his arms around, trying to clear the air of her self-doubt as fast as he could.
“No, no. No. no. No. I was going to say you look pretty but I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. I just paused at the wrong time. I’m sorry.” Lockwood said, standing straight again. Lucy slowed her bite. She looked Lockwood up and down before nodding.
“Thank you. You’re um- not horrific to look at.” Lucy said before pulling her heavy bag off the floor and heading towards the door. She poked her head out the door. Lockwood followed after her, stepping out onto the doorstep. They ought to check that it is their Taxi before calling for George, he’d pitch a fit if it wasn’t. They both watched as the Taxi drove right past their door and stopped at the one next to them.
You stepped out onto the stoop, turning around to lock your door behind you. You glanced up at them and waved. Lockwood recognized the sweater you were wearing as the one he saw Lucy wearing last week. He remembers specifically because the way Lucy looked in it made him want to sink his teeth into something and shake his head back and forth. His lips fell apart, glancing at Lucy with a confused look.
“Isn’t that your sweater?” Lockwood whispered. Lucy hummed.
“Yeah, we’re-um… Friends.” Lucy said. Her tone made Lockwood raise a brow. You waved your arm harder trying to get their attention. Lockwood was really hating himself at the moment. He liked two people who were apparently already close enough friends to share clothes and Lucy made it sound like you could be more to her. Now he was really up a creek without a paddle. He was flirting and yearning for two people already together. Lockwood and Lucy raised their hands, waving back at you.
“Hey, beautiful!” You yelled across the distance. Lucy sighed and Lockwood lost his breath.
“Hey.”
“Hi.” Lucy and Lockwood spoke together. You paused your hand and smiled falling. Lucy slowly turned her head back looking at Lockwood. He clenched his jaw and shook his.
“Thought they said-“
“What? Lockwood?” Lucy asked sarcastically. Lockwood nodded, letting out a huff through his nose. Lucy hummed and faced you again.
“I mean, you’re handsome too. I was just referring to Lucy in that moment.” You said voice raised. Lockwood nodded, wanting to curl up in a ball and sob.
“Are you fucking getting in or what?” A new voice yelled. All three heads turned to the taxi. The driver was sticking his head out the window and staring at you. You quickly made your way across your yard and sunk into the backseat.
By the time the case was over Lucy and Lockwood were sitting in the Library together. It had been silent up until that moment but once again Lucy couldn’t stand it.
“You too huh?” Lockwood looked up from his book and furrowed his eyebrows. “The neighbor,” Lucy added. Lockwood pressed his lips together and stared down at his book though now it was obvious he wasn’t reading anymore.
“Yeah. Me too.” They both let out a dreamy sigh at the memory of you.
“Yeah. Rough isn’t it?” Lucy asked, staring ahead at the fire. Lockwood snorted.
“I didn’t know you two were like a thing, I wouldn’t have said anything to either of you if I had known,” Lockwood said, still keeping his eyes on the book. Lucy hummed, tossing a tiny paper ball into the flames.
“Well, I don’t know if we’re really a thing. Not to mention I think we’re all a little messy right now.” Lucy said, readjusting her sitting position. Lockwood looked up, pressing his eyebrows together and shaking his head.
“I don’t know what you mean.” Lucy sighed.
“It’s just like, You like me and our neighbor. I like you and our neighbor. They like you and they definitely like me. I just don’t entirely know what we’re supposed to do in this situation.” Lucy said, sighing again. This time Lockwood could see her shoulders sinking with the weight of her confusion.
“You know I like you? And the neighbor?” Lockwood asked quietly, feeling incredibly predictable. Lucy lifted her head, raising an eyebrow at Lockwood.
“Yeah, dude. You know you’re not exactly secretive, right? You get all giggly and blushy anytime I breathe near you. Not to mention I mean you’re basically shining every time you come in from the mail. I just put two and two together.” Lucy said, looking at the nearest book and deciding it was definitely more up George’s alley.
“Oh.”
“Before you ask, I know they like me because they kissed me back. I know they like you because I’ve seen you two interact and they got all flirty with you so I once again put two and two together.” Lucy said, dropping her head back.
“You kissed?” Lucy hummed. “Was it hot?” Lockwood asked, feeling like his eye might twitch. Lucy made a low sound that came from behind her ribs. It gave Lockwood the eerie feeling that she should’ve gone into horror movies, she would make a great antagonist with that sound.
“yes!” She said, shaking her hands in the air. Lockwood snorted and smiled down at his book.
A few days later all three of you were standing in your front yard. You had a long conversation on the status of your relationship and by the end of it you decided the best way to solve this problem was for all three of you to date. Lucy wondered why she hadn’t thought of that and Lockwood wondered why his plants in the front yard looked so healthy.
As Lockwood and Lucy were heading back inside, You stopped them. You ran all the way around to their gate and stomped up their steps. You latched onto Lockwood’s tie and pulled him into a kiss.
Lockwood felt the ground dip underneath him as he realized all he wanted to do for the rest of his life was kiss you. Your hand found the back of his head and with your fingers twirling at the hair there Lockwood wanted to faint into your arms so you’d hold him forever. You eventually pulled back and headed for your own home, slipping past your front door before Lockwood’s brain could catch up. Lockwood felt a clattering sound scratch its way out of his chest and slip past the barrier of his teeth. Lucy nodded and patted his shoulder in sympathy.
“I know, baby. I know. Let’s get you some hot tea, hm?” Lucy said, pulling Lockwood inside the house. As it turns out getting the mail and watering the plants can easily be a two-person job if your neighbor is hot enough.

Ruben Dias x Reader - City Girls Part 7/8
Yeah this is a mess I can't fix 😅. Had fun writing this chapter tho since it ft Kyle Walker whom I am very fond of 🤣
Reader plays for the Man City girls academy. She struggles a bit but gets Ruben to mentor her. The the two don't hit off despite having many things in common. It all gets worse when Reader eventually catches feelings for Ruben.
Enjoy!
Cityzens Day.
It was mainly for the club sponsors but alot of players brought along their families and friends as the day was filled with fun activities, football challanges and the ever so popular guided tour inside the Ethiad campus.
It was your first time attending, although it was mandatory for all City players. A little sad, that you weren't able to bring your family from Brazil. They would have loved it, especially the chance to play football at the Ethiad Stadium. Apparently that was the highlight of the event, a friendly game between players from all levels, men, women, girls and boys, and of course their families. The game would be broadcasted on the teams website and it usually brought alot of laughs to alot of people. You couldn't wait to play, but until then you wandered the campus alone, watching other players enjoying spending quality time with their families.
"Hey Y/N, come here!"
You were observing a very intense juggling contests between an academy player and someone's kid, when coach spotted you in the crowd, waving you over.
"Meet my family." He stood next to a beautiful red-haired woman and young boy with a toothy smile. "This is my wife Trish, my son Ethan and that over there..." He pointed towards the crowd, to the center of it, where the juggling contests was happening. "That is my daughter Lucy." He said.
"Wow, she's really good."
She was definitely bruising the ego of the young academy player. He would certainly up his juggling game after this.
"You know, she reminds me alot of you." Coach smiled. "I can't get her to stop juggling the ball either."
"Seems like her talent won't go to waste today, the price is a Playstation 6, no?"
You shared a laugh. Coach had a lovely family who had flown all the way from Australia to see him. Cityzens Day was really the best time for that.
A food truck pulled up to campus just in time for lunch. You bought a taco bowl so big that you had to share it with another player as she saw you struggling.
"So when are you coming to play with us again." She asked, you knew her as Alison Bennett.
"I dunno?" You sighed. "I don't think I fit into the kind of squad your coach wants."
"Are you joking?" Alison frowned. "But you played so well with us."
It was strange really, but since it happned more than once now, that you got excluded from playing with the first team, you simply assumed the worst. Even though Ruben told you not to worry about it, you couldn't help but to. Your development as a player was at stake. And the fact that Ruben's diet helped you put on a few pounds was not a constellation. Perhaps the coaches on the first team had noticed, that you were getting fat?
"Speaking of playing, are you on for the game this afternoon?" Alison asked.
"The game against cityzens?"
"Yeah?"
You smiled. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."
"Great. I really hope you're on my team. I'm the captain. We're gonna need...."
Alison got tuned out as you sighted something in the distance, or better yet, someone. It was Ruben, walking side by side with a woman just as tall as him only thinner. She was wearing a Man City jersey, sporting the number three, Ruben's number three. He held a hand to her lower back, guiding her around, introducing her to his teammates.
"Speaking of players I would like on my team." Alison took notice of where all your attention had gone. "We could surley use a defender like Dias."
"Ruben?" You asked, your voice a bit strained.
She nodded "He's like the best defender City's got. We'll never concede goals with him on our team."
You turned back to look at Ruben and the woman he had brought. Could it be his girlfriend? In that case Ruben didn't have a type, because you looked nothing like her.
"He used to coach me, you know?" Alison leaned in and whispered.
"Who, Ruben?"
She bit her lip, nodding her head.
"B...but you're a forward?"
"So? Aren't you one too? Nevertheless, Ruben used to teach me how to improve my skills. You know, help me get past the...."
"Defenders." You said, finishing of her sentence.
"Yeah, exactly. He's a really good coach."
"I can imagine." You ignored the painful beating of your heart. "Tell me..." You asked. ".. did you used to go to his place to, you know,"hang out"?"
She snorted. "No, why would I do that?"
"Oh."
A slight relief.
Alison stood, having helped you finish your meal. Her smile was devious. "No, Ruben used to take me back to the infirmary. We used to"hang out" there."
Your heart sank.
It was the realization that perhaps you were one of many.
********************************************
The afternoon sun was setting over Manchester City, but Cityzens Day was far from over. The game of cityzens was still on the agenda.
You laced up your cleats and stepped onto the football pitch at the magnificent Ethiad Stadium. It was truly breath taking playing in front so many people. Although the game was for fun, you were determined to showcase your talent, and even more determined to win against Ruben and his team. That's right, he was the captain of a squad containing lots of good players from all divisions. Players that made your teammates look like freaking toddlers.
"Alright! Ladies, fellas, huddle up!" A man urged for all the players on your team to gather around him. He was big, but funny looking, with a voice that did not match his brutal appearance.
"I'm Kyle Walker, but you can call me your captain for this evening."
"Captain?" Alison frowned. You were lucky to have her om your team, however, she did not look happy to find the captains armband handed to someone else. "We never voted for you to be our captain." She protested.
"Well, you should have. I have the experience when it matters and feel confident that I can lead this team to victory." He said.
"How?" A young U21 player squealed. Like the rest of you he was glaring at Ruben and his team as they warmed up on the opposite side of the pitch. The majority of Ruben's squad were players from the men's first team, including their assistant coaches.
"They're gonna eat us alive." The boy said, to which everyone agreed.
"Well that's not the spirit. Come on guys, hands in." Kyle ordered for everyone to stretch out a hand towards the ring you formed. "Victory on three, alright. One...two...three...VICTORY!" Kyle shouted, whilst the rest of you mumbled the words. Nevertheless you personally were not intimidated. You had played against tough opponents before, and you knew that you had a team that could give it their all, because Manchester City was arguably the best football club in the world.
The whistle blew, and the game began.
The first half was a blur of sweat and noise, as the two teams battled it out on the field. You dribbled and ran, dodging and weaving around your opponents, but Ruben and his team were tough to beat. They were bigger and stronger, and they had a few tricks up their sleeves.
"Whatta fuck!"
You ate dirt as Ruben ordered his players to tag team you. You stood no chance as Ruben was well aware that you rather go on your own than pass the ball.
"I'm sorry Y/N."
Ester pulled you up from the ground, having helped her teammates knock you down. She was playing for Ruben but seemed genuinely sorry for how he was running his play.
"Just give me the ball." You scuffed, as coach blew the whistle, handing your team a freekick for the offense made against you.
Kyle took it and missed.
The game resumed.
"Come on team, it's not over yet!" Your "captain", encouraged. "Fight until the end!"
As the second half began, your team was down by three goals, the majority of players being tired, cold and dirty, ready to throw in the towel. But you refused to give up. You knew that you had to do something to turn the game around, and you were determined to be the one to make it happen.
The moment didn't reveal itself until injury time. During he last minute's of the game. Ruben misjudged a pass, and you saw your chance. Charging directly towards him you had no other intention than to dribble past him.
"Pass the ball!" Kyle shouted, pointing to Alison who stood open, ready to receive the assist.
Your heart was pounding in your chest, you had to do this, you had to try and get past him. However Ruben's braud frame made it nearly impossible for you to sight the goal behind him. He looked smug, aware that your chances of getting past him were slim to none. But you had prepared for this. Ruben had prepared you for this. As he lunged forwards, you did not hesitate to bring the fight to him. The two of you clashed together, with Ruben's strangeth throwing you off, however you had suprised him with an elbow to his lower ribs, the quick jab making him fold before your eyes. It was your chance to get past him. For that split second that you caught him lacking you managed to ship the ball in the air and leaped your body over Ruben's extended leg. It was the moment of the match, the crowd on their feet watching a 60kg girl go head to head with one of the world's greatest defenders, beating him to it, sending the ball into the back off the net.
The crowd erupted in cheers, and your team rushed onto the field, arms around each other's shoulders, grinning from ear to ear.
"That's what I'm talking about. That's how we play!" Kyle Walker was in the verge of tears. You may have lost the game, but you had proven that you were not to be underestimated. Not now, not ever. By anyone.
"Great game Y/N."
"Um, thanks."
Ester approached you as the pitch cleared of people, friends and family members heading their respective ways. Cityzens Day was officially over.
"I really mean it, you played amazing."
You were on the ground tying your cleats. Looking up at Ester you sighed. "What do you want?"
Her expression was hard to read, her eyes desperate to tell you somthing. "I..." She squealed.
You stood, hands on your hips. "Yes?"
She sighed. "I'm sorry it had to be this way...between us. You really deserve to play with the first team but so do I. I've fought all of my life for this position."
"And I haven't?" You gasped. "Ester if you've got somthing else to say to me I rather not hear it." You turned your back on her and walked away, however, she fought to catch up to you.
"Come on Y/N. At least now you get to be with your boyfriend. I mean it was his idea."
"Whatta hell are you talking about Ester. I don't have a boyfriend."
"Could have fooled me." She chuckled, to which you frowned. "Ruben practically begged me not to tell the club officials about you two. He told me that he would talk to the coaches on the first team, tell them how you were having problems settling into a new country, mental problems, that were effecting your performance."
"He did what?"
Suddenly you lost the sensation of your hands and feet.
Ester nodded. "It worked. The coaches on the first team didn't want to put pressure on you by calling you up to play for them and so they picked me instead. It's a win-win for both of us since you get to be with Ruben and I get to play."
You were lost for words, trying to make sense of her words that were like riddles to your ears. However one thing was clear, Ruben had betrayed you, and for what?

I find the detail that Jonathan was going to spend the night away from home but then sent a telegram that he'll take the 4hr commute back to be home with her tonight pretty interesting. Did he change his mind? We never see his telegram, but Mina seems to suggest he gave as reason that she'd not be alone at night?
I was thinking recently about what day it might be when considering the timeline for Arthur's note to Jack after the funeral for his WRWD. To sum up, it looks like the 25th is probably a Monday. The other option was that it's Sunday, which seems less likely but does make him wanting to get home sooner if he could more likely. I guess in a way that's not very relevant to the specifics of your question. I was just reminded...
Anyways. Your suggestion that Jonathan came home for the (stated) purpose of ensuring Mina didn't have to spend the night alone is interesting, and I see where it comes from:
And yet, if it be true, what terrible things there are in the world, and what an awful thing if that man, that monster, be really in London! I fear to think. I have this moment, whilst writing, had a wire from Jonathan, saying that he leaves by the 6:25 to-night from Launceston and will be here at 10:18, so that I shall have no fear to-night.
If that last phrase is continuing the description of what Jonathan's message said, then yes, that does seem to be his stated reasoning. However, I've always personally read that as a modifier/response to her own earlier line about "I fear to think" - basically, I've assumed Jonathan just said he would make it home, and it was Mina who added that now she won't have to worry about him tonight. Of course, some of that was based on my assumption that Launceston is in London and so she was worried about his proximity to Dracula. But Launceston, I've just learned, is actually in the opposite direction, further west than Exeter. So... perhaps that's not what's going on. Maybe I've been wrong and your interpretation is correct.
Regardless of whether Jonathan said it or Mina did, I think the fear referred to here is her worry about him. He did just have a total collapse a few short days ago (3, to be precise). And that happened while traveling. Not to mention, the last time he went on a business trip away from her for more than a day, he went missing for months and turned up horribly traumatized. So even if she 'knows' it's just an overnight trip and he will be fine, she could be feeling understandable anxiety about this. All the more so after losing Mr. Hawkins and Lucy.
However, equally relevant is Jonathan's own feelings on the matter. I think whatever worry Mina might be feeling about his business trip will be just as intense for him as well, if not even more so. He was obviously trying to dive into his work to both distract himself and live up to the responsibilities he now has as Mr. Hawkins' heir. He may well have agreed to or arranged this trip in an attempt to prove he's fine/make himself fine/fulfill others' expectations. And then perhaps in the train there, he began to regret his choices...
He didn't send Mina his message until around 6:30pm, just about the time he was catching the train home. That's after the close of business for most offices nowadays, at least. Probably back then as well. I think it's quite possible that Jonathan either worked as hard as he could to finish everything early (regretting his choice very soon after leaving) and only told her once he was sure it was all done so he could go home, or was already going to have finished things but originally didn't want the long trip back at night. But he changed his mind at the last minute and told Mina as soon as he did, so that he could get back to her side and not have to spend a night alone away from here.
I definitely think both he and she would hesitate to be apart at night, at least at first. All the more given his night terrors, and a 'business trip' would be worse than some other reason, given the history there. If the need arises I'm sure they could/would, but if Jonathan realized he didn't have to, he'd try not to.
I'd be remiss not to also mention another theory I saw a while ago. I don't have the specific post but I believe there was speculation that Jonathan realized Mina had opened his diary before she told him, and some of his throwing himself into work was him deliberately giving her space to read it. It also might have been him trying to avoid any reaction she might have, in case that dredged up things he didn't want to face. If so, him turning back around and heading home would indicate a willingness to face the truth, or at least see how she looks at him now. I don't tend to buy this one myself because she read the diary a couple days earlier, and so the timing doesn't quite match up for that to be related to his trip.

We'll be just fine (Pierre Gasly
Misunderstandings take a toll on your and Pierre's marriage
Note: english is not my first language. this is another long piece that I hope will make me keep up with posting a bit more regularly, and while I'm pretty sure it's not that good, as I'm not the best at writing angst, I'm working on it so I hope this is at least not awful.
Thank you so much to everyone who likes and reblogs, your feedback is appreciated 🤍 and I'm taking requests so if you have any ideas or concepts you want to share, feel free to do so as I'll try to get to them the best I can!
my masterlist
Tw: miscommunication, drinking heavily, curse words
You walked around your bedroom, grabbing the last few things before you left the house to go out with your friends for some food and drinks, thinking of texting Pierre that you'd be going out with Anna and that she would bring you home since she was on antibiotics, bless her, so she would be the one driving, but refrained from doing so because you would come home earlier than he would anyway, his meetings lasting longer and longer these days.
The marriage had been going through a rough patch, and while you had both admitted that you'd both need to put in the work for it to go forward, Pierre felt like it wasn't going anywhere. None of the efforts were making it worse, that was for sure, but it wasn't going maybe as fast as he had hoped. He still felt some distance on your part some days, and he was cautious of your boundaries, not wanting to overwhelm you and, in part, he was happy that you were taking some time for yourself to enjoy with your friends.
In the bar you and your friends had decided to spend the night, drinks kept coming to the table while you spoke about whatever came up, "are you okay, Y/N?", Anna asked, nudging your side when the rest of the group had to make a bathroom trip, "yeah, just tired from the week", you offered, not really wanting to dwelve into your thoughts since the therapy session alone that week had been intense and full of things to sort out on your own. Drinks kept coming and while you weren't too drunk, tipsy was also a word that couldn't describe how much you had in you.
"I'll drop Y/N home, guys", Anna said to the rest of the group as they arranged their own rides since Lucie's husband had volunteered to take them home. Sitting in her car, you opened the window so you could feel the cool breeze on your face, "are you good? Do you need to stop?", Anna asked you, "I'm good, just a little bit tipsy, but no throw ups, don't worry", you said, grabbing your purse to text Pierre that you were on your way home and seeing a couple of texts and missed phone calls, "Oh, but he's worried now", you mumbled, locking your phone once you noticed you were getting in the road you lived in, "thank you so much, Anna. I hope I wasn't too bad", you mumbled as she walked with you to the front door, "you're fine, not the worst I've seen you, I have to say", she smiled, "you'll be okay?", she asked, "yes, I will", you reassured her, "I'll be good", you said as you heard the door open unexpectedly, seeing Pierre greeting Anna, thanking and wishing her a safe ride home, the whole scene seemingly slower than it probably was.
Getting inside, you heard Pierre close the door before he sighed, "I'm sorry I didn't text or call back, but when we were at the bar, the signal wasn't the best and I couldn't hear it. When I saw the notifications, I was already at the top of the road", you explained, sensing that the sigh would come with a scold from him.
"I was worried about you! You guys don't usually stay out for this long, and this was when I assumed you were with them from your hand I recognised in their stories", Pierre began, "and you didn't tell me anything, I didn't even know where you were, and you didn't answer your phone!", he snapped, "something could've happened to you and I didn't know where you were or how you were!".
Rubbing your temples, you manage from look up at him, the frustration clear in your voice as you spoke, "I left the house with my friends, to finally spend a night where I don't have to think if I put a foot wrong with you or if I am too much trouble or if I'm not keeping the promises or the behaviour that I should", you yelled, tears brimming your eyes.
"You didn't tell me where you were going, I have a right to be worried for my wife!", Pierre pointed his finger, and you broke down, "Why do you care? It's not like I matter to you anymore", you hiccuped, letting your mouth speak what was inside.
"What?", Pierre asked, not expecting that to be your answer, listening closely while you walked to the other side of the living room.
"Why are you so bothered by this? Why do you care so much? You barely ask me anything these days, you don't ask where I'm going, or what I've been doing. You don't care wether I've had a good day or a bad day, you don't care to know how I've been... you don't care about us...", you finished, tears falling from your eyes give that your futile attempt to stop them didn't work.
Shaking his head, Pierre looked at you, "is that what you think this is? That I don't care about you? That I don't care about us? Y/N, no, absolutely no", he stated, "I thought you needed some time to yourself, that you wanted to set some boundaries and so I didn't want to pressure you, or make you feel like I was controlling you", he gulped, "I never wanted it to seem like I didn't care about you", he explained, "I care about you, mon amour. Fucking hell, I don't think I've ever loved anyone like I love you", he admitted, making you look at him, still keeping a distance between you, "Sometimes I don't feel it", you admitted back.
Sighing, you wiped your eyes one last time, feeling the waterfall finally stop, "I don't know how to deal with this, with not knowing how you truly are doing, if I can ask for something or not", you mumbled, feeling lightheaded from the alcohol and choosing to sit on the sofa, "are we condemned to this?", you asked out loud and to no one in particular, you guessed, until Pierre knelt in front of you, "you don't seem bothered by this, but I am! Every spare moment of my thoughts I have, I'm thinking about this, wether or not we can make it work, wether you care about me or about enough to not let this go. I miss you, I miss us", you let out a shuddered breath.
Pierre was lost. He truly didn't think he was behaving like that, as in his mind, he was just giving you some space and allowing you to set your boundaries, but miscommunication clearly got the best of you two, "Mon amour, I never wanted you to feel like this. I'm truly sorry for making you feel like this. I love you, I love you so much and I'll spend everyday of my life reminding you of it", he said, grabbing your hand as you looked at him, "one step at a time, we'll do this", he rubbed your hands, "we can work through this, I know we can", he stated.
"What if we loose ourselves again?", you whispered, the fear you felt contrasting with your voice's volume, "we get back to eachother. We will talk about everything, we can't leave eacother in the dark. Anything that happens, good or bad, small or big, we talk it over. We go to eachother and ask what we want to know. And it doesn't matter if we get mad at eachother, because we love eacother beyond that, and we'll get through it", he comforted, making your hands hold his, squeezing them, "we'll be just fine".

Hi! just want to say really love The Rookie episode breakdown that you do.
So assuming you have watch all of them, do you have any list / ranking of best Chenford related episodes? Or can you give us your ranking of best Chenford related episodes? Really want to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you!
Hi @xiaozhen16! First off thank you for your lovely comment on my reviews. Means a lot I'm so glad you enjoy them. :) Also appreciate you wanting my thoughts on this. Let's see I have been with The Rookie since day one, actually pre-green light. I followed Nathan after Castle and his next project and saw The Rookie get its green light. So i've been with since the literal jump. Seen all eps for sure more than once haha Think I've rewatched it least 5 times since it started. Thank you for being patient while I took the time to answer this. Life is hard to fit stuff in so thank you. It'll be a long reply lol In order to answer this properly I'm going to do top 5 with an honorable mentions that could span up to 5 cause this is hard LOL Those will be in no particular order. I'll do it for each season. Except S5. I just can't choose S5 down to a top ten.
I love that entire season. But I can do 1-4. Someday I can rank S5 on its own ranking the entire season if you like but for now it'll be this. Let me know if you'd like me to do that in the comments. But for this one Each season has something different to offer for them. So it'll be easier to break it down by season but only going up to S4. Hopefully you enjoy this detailed reply. Anyone is welcome to comment and such too.
Season 1.
1x14 Plain Clothes Day
Hands down this is my favorite episode of S1 for them. It's a very telling episode for them both. Lots of growth as well. Lucy is hell bent to prove herself to Tim. She is nervous but driven to prove to Tim she is worth investing his time in. Her day is a plethora of jitters and mistakes. Tim consistently getting under her skin and rattling her cage. Then at the last minute like a phoenix rising from the ashes Lucy makes the right call. Such a clutch moment that impresses Tim more than he'll ever let on. Doesn't hesitate for one moment checking that man's garage out.
This is a huge step towards her growth as a cop and a person really. Its seminal episode for Lucy. A stepping stone to her confidence and learning to trust her instincts and not second guess herself. For Tim it's realizing as much as he loves to mess with Lucy he wants her to succeed more. He states in the very beginning of the episode how he's had 11 rookies wash out on this day. ELEVEN. He hasn't cared if his rookies have washed out 11 times. Then Lucy Chen walked into his life. Disrupted his life in the best way.
With her incredibly driven sunshine ways he REFUSES to let her be his 12th. Does everything in his ability to keep her from being fired. They have a lot of lovely moments in this episode ranging from messing with her to fiercely protecting her from that tool-bag trying to take her job. The scene outside the captain's office where he has to re-write her eval gah so very good. Overall just an amazing episode of moments and growth for them as characters and as a ship. Another step towards their rock-solid bond.
2. 1x20 Free Fall
What's not to love about this finale? It's the culmination of everything they've been through to this point in the season. We watch how Tim instantly protects Lucy from being infected. At first he's in control of the situation (or so he thinks..) Trying to keep Lucy calm while on the inside he is panicking. Attempting to keep up his tough T.O. act with her. Determined to show Lucy he's bulletproof no matter the situation. That quickly begins the devolve the longer he is in that room.
The more he has to deal with this disease alone the worse it gets. We get a front row seat into protective Lucy. The way she is losing it for Tim on the outside. Doing anything and everything to get him out of there. This is the first time we get to see Tim trust Lucy emotionally and not hesitate. Not only that but so openly. She has been knocking on the door of this all season.
The scene above is her reward for all that work. The role reversal that happens here is wonderful. Where Lucy becomes the rock. The one to comfort him while Tim is battling with his dark thoughts of suicide if this goes sideways. Trusting her enough to tell her such deep thoughts. Lucy guiding him through those emotions best she can. It's a fantastic way to end the season for them. Lots of earned moments in this one.
3. 1x11 Redwood
Our first Iconic OTP Line Episode. This is where we start to see Tim soften for Lucy. Those sharp edges dulling a bit. We get to watch how he knows exactly how to calm her when she is in a panic. Tim commands this entire episode for her. Distracting her from the moment that needle goes in to chewing out the nurse for not prioritizing her. It was our first glimpse into protective Tim and I was here for it. Excellent introduction to this side of him regarding Lucy. Does the Tim Bradford special where he tells her like it is while showing empathy.
The first time we get to see him care truly care and let her know that he's there. Has her back in a way no one really has before. Lucy is watching her career go down the drain in her eyes. Changing her life forever and is in panic city. Tim doesn't let her be a resident there for very long. This ep showcases how amazing he is at his job and how good Tim is with Lucy. Knows exactly what to do in order to keep her sane.
He spends his entire day distracting her and showing empathy in the process. Ultimately stopping her from going off the razor's edge. It's these moments she has with Tim that shift her POV of him. Why she fights for him like she does. Lucy knows the good heart this man has. That he cares about her as person. That she is more than just his rookie. It's so very good. Producing the line above. *sigh*
4. 1x07 The Ride Along
These early episode are what I like to call building block eps. The foundation that is laid in these are so important. It's Lucy showing up for Tim when he needs it most. Their relationship is in its infancy in these episodes. Being molded into what we see in the finale and honestly the future. Lucy noticing a serious wrong (Isabel taking advantage of Tim's deep loyalty) Not only noticing but not letting him throw his life/career away for it. The line above is EVERYTHING. She refuses to let Tim cross an ocean and compromise his soul for someone who wouldn't cross a puddle for him. The bravery it took for her take a stand I'll always commend her for. How scary it must've been for her to confront him like this. When he was still in his radioactive insanely damaged phase. Tim already meant more to her at this point than she expected. She couldn't stand back and watch him self-destruct for someone who didn't deserve it. Tim is not even close to being used to someone showing up for him like this at this point. It's so very foreign to him.
Not only that but someone putting him in place and knocking sense back into him. Something he comes to learn and love about Lucy. Becomes the fabric of their dynamic really. In the moment he's so angry with her but long term forever grateful she stepped in like she did. That crack in his wall starting to grow a little more. A defining moment for them early on in this season. They had me hook line and sinker after this. I was already low-key shipping them but this added to it.
5. 1x03 The Good The Bad and the Ugly
Another building block episode. A crucial one for them really. I love how their early episodes set them up beautifully for the rest of the season. If not for these episodes you wouldn't see how wonderful the growth is for them both. The episodes that'll be in my honorable mentions are the fruit of these. Because without seeing where they came from how could we deeply appreciate how far they've come? Tim is imploding at a high velocity in this episode. Doesn't care about the collateral damage either. At this point that damage radius includes Lucy.
We truly see Tim as his very worst in the beginning. The beautiful thing is Lucy see's past his hurt into who he is as a person. He is worth getting through to. Also she also see's he is a god damn dumpster fire. One that if she doesn't put him out he's going to take her down with him. You know Tim respects the hell out of her for the scene above. (Not in the moment but in the long term of it all.)
For standing up to him and showing him how selfish he was being. It's what earns her that wonderful scene in the shop afterwards. Where he opens up and tells her about Isabel and a little bit of their history. His way of thanking her for getting his head on straight. Their early stuff is so raw but so good. They're learning how to function together. Usually one of them leading the other more depending on the situation. Start of their wonderful dynamic.
~~~
Honorable mentions-Ones I wanted to include cause they're amazing but can only gif the top 5 and one mention ha So it'll be my top ten for each season. They have so many good eps.
1x18 Home Front
So much to love about this one. Lucy busting his chops the entire ep. Get our first glimpse into their playful work flirts. Her challenging him on his personal life and not work for the first time. Standing her ground in that opinion. Like she does best with him. Telling Tim he needs something other than work. Naturally is defensive at first and eventually caves in. It results in the cute paintball moment above we all know and love.
1x19-Checklist-We get another glimpse into what Tim is willing to do to keep Lucy from washing out. I love this episode and how we start to see Tim trust in her decision making skills. Like the woman with the swapped plates. She lets her go and it ends up working out for her. The final scene is the best where he logs OT for her to continue on in the program. Lucy feeling so supported with this gesture. *heart clutch* So good.
1x16 Green light- Our first look into how protective Lucy can be about Tim. Their rank be damned in her opinion. The way she protects and defends him to Detective Murphy is glorious. Not caring she's her superior officer. She is kicking him when he is already down and Lucy won't stand for it. Then Tim returns the favor when she's upset about catching Cole. ‘Grief is grief. It’s a hole that can’t be filled. But over time, it’ll shrink enough so that you won’t fall in every time you take a step.’ His growth in this line is amazing to watch unfold. How he has grown since his whole debacle with Isabel.
1x15-Man Hunt.- We see some more fruit of Lucy's impact on Tim. Him wanting to do more with his career. He decides to go for Sergeant and we all know she is part of that reason. Also we get a glimpse into Tim and his rookie days through Deacon and his 54 connection. Lucy is delighted to get a birds eye view to his past. It's the scene where they're defending the escaped prisoner that's the best. Saying how he refuses to do something he will be ashamed in the light of day. This moment being proof Lucy's impact on him from 1x07. Its beautifully full circle.
1x01 Pilot-Gotta include the pilot. It's what set the table for them. "Officer Bradford gets our hot shot." He sure does. Getting a look into them as characters and where they start off from. It's what hooked me to this show to begin with. Other than just my love for Eric and Nathan at the time lol I saw deep characters with so much potential and I've been hooked ever since.
~~~
Season 2. Has an unreal amount of good eps for them did my best to keep it to ten.
2x11 Day of Death
Naturally this iconic episode is my favorite of S2. How could it not be? This is a massively seminal moment in their history. It's where they go from border-line friends to bonded in a way no one else will ever understand. We watch Lucy fight tooth and nail to stay alive. She is so resilient because she knows Tim is on his way. He won't let her die. Won't Let Caleb win. Her immense amount of faith is beautiful. Knowing that he will get to her in time. Not a doubt in her mind.
We watch Tim race against the clock to rescue her. The pressure and anxiety mounting through out the entire episode for him. Like a weight on his soul he refuses to put down until she is back. We get to witness how much Tim has come to care about Lucy. See the depth's he will go to get her back safely. Also get to see a darker side to him. Which I wasn't totally opposed to seeing in order to get to her. (and wouldn't mind seeing again. tbh) 'Today is your day of reckoning. I am responsible for a life that is in jeopardy, and I will do whatever I have to, to save her.' *fans self* That man is on edge from the moment she goes missing till she is in his arms above.
First actual relaxing breath he takes the entire ep. You see how his body slumps against her in relief as he holds her. How deeply worried he was and won't let her out of his sight afterwards. We all know that man slept at the hospital all night and didn't take his eyes off her until she woke up. To make sure he was the first face she saw. That final scene in the hospital a beautiful look into the deep bond they've formed at this point. I love them sfm. Where we get our next Iconic OTP Line. 'You know me so well. Too Well.' Amongst a flurry of heart eyes and emotions.
2. 2x12 Now and Then
What I love the most about this episode is how Tim steps back. Let's her get taken care of by someone other than himself. Control Freak Tim Bradford hands the reins over. Because her recovering is more important than his ego. The growth I can not. He see's a blind spot within himself that he can not help out with. So he heeds Nyla's words when she approaches him about taking her on. He watches anxiously from afar wanting not to over step the entire episode.
Lucy is hurt he doesn't let her ride with him right away. She is confused and her emotions are all over the place in this episode. Rightfully so. We get to see once again how much Tim cares about her. The way he's asking everyone around her how she is. Even asks Nolan how she is really doing. You know that was hard for him to do. We get to the end of the episode and this glorious scene above. Tim sharing a piece of his past to heal her present.
You can tell he so desperately wants to take on some of her pain. That if he could he would. Still shouldering the weight of her being taken being on him. Trying to give her some hard won perspective. This is his way of saying he's so proud of her, he misses her, hoping him sharing his past brings her back to him. Brings Lucy back to being his sunshine human. Not the angry resentful one he see's in front of him. It's a beautiful scene for the both of them. The sweet smiles when he tosses back the ring. My damn heart.
3. 2x13 Follow Up Day
Another Iconic moment in S2. This season is full of them. Ground breaking moments that drive them forward as a ship. He's passed his Sergeants exam. Hooray. Lucy is SO DAMN PROUD when they get the news. It's the thing he's been working toward since the beginning of S2. He's offered a Hollywood post. One that he can have quickly. A prominent position for him right out the gate and yet he hesitates. Why you ask? Well he's a little too attached to his current rookie that he pretends he isn't attached to. (While dating her best friend might I add. Something I would forget regularly in this season)
Lucy reminds him why he wants to stay around and not leave yet. She challenges him, supports him and believes in Tim in a way he's never had before. Has unwavering faith in him. He says he's not done training her yet. When really he's not ready to let go of the influence she's had on his life. Heart eyes galore. She is more important than moving up atm. I love it.
4. 2x02 The Night General
The beginning of Tim's quest to study for being a Sergeant. It starts off as Tim torturing Lucy with reading his out of print book to him. What starts out as him enjoying making her read it turns into so much more. Lucy quickly turns it around on him. Because well Lucy. Decides on specific segments to have him recite back. Quickly annoying him and he loses this game fairly quickly. It's during this studying we find out Tim learns a certain way. That he must be in motion to absorb the material. (Me too love) He doesn't take this news in stride very well because it's Tim.
Lucy goes above and beyond to apologize for upsetting him. She spends what I assume is any free time between shifts recording the book for him. Not only does she do this she reassures him that it's ok to learn this way. There is no shame in it even compliments him because of it. Telling him its why he excels at being a cop. I
I just adore this moment so much because she builds him up and encourages him. Never once letting him feel shame for how he learns. Lucy taking care of him in ways Tim can't even comprehend atm. He is overwhelmed by her support and empathy. Can only muster a really loaded 'Thanks.' Such a lovely building block for them. Also welcome to the sweaty gun show above *fans self*
5. 2x08 Clean Cut
Ahh the protective Lucy episode. We get to see how far Tim will go for Lucy in this season. The audience also gets to see how far Lucy is willing to go to protect and defend Tim. Just like in 1x16 she charges head long at a superior to defend Tim. Refusing to let anyone sully his name or character. From the moment their shop hits that woman's car she goes into 'Protect Tim mode.' at all costs.
Hell raining down on anyone who gets in the way of her clearing his name. Eating anyone trying to stop her from righting this wrong she KNOWS is a wrong against him. Tim is so defeated and resigned after it happens. He's not going to defend himself so Lucy takes it on herself to do this. The ferocity is noticed by Tim. Why he lets her lead the questioning against the shady BF.
Lucy breathes life back into him that they could overturn this. That unshakeable faith she has in him. Refusing to let him give up on himself. It's the way she builds him up and won't let him think any less of himself I adore so much. After it's reversed and he gets his award she's a proud wifey. Even throwing back his own words at him when he thanks her. Eyes full of love. It's fantastic full circle moment for them.

Honorable Mentions
2x19-Q Word
As I've said earlier S2 is chock full of goodies. Tim learning the place he still holds in Lucy's life. He is her GO TO. A place he thought he had lost in 2x11. He gave up having that spot in her life because he no longer felt worthy of it. That he was given his shot and he blew it. Lucy not for one damn second thought he forfeited that. She was more upset he wasn't engaging with her about this than anything else.
Lucy does her best to relieve him of his burden. Of the guilt he continues to feel. To let him know it was NOT his fault. That his opinion is one of most value to her. The very opposite of what Tim thought of his place in her world. It's a good episode. One of the best parts above. Lucy applying some salve to his guilty soul.
2x06 Fallout
Lots to love in this ep. Tim trying and failing at 'being nice' to Lucy while she goes through her emotions about her ex. To him tapping into his actual soft side for her. The genuine side. Them facing a bomb threat and Lucy getting to unleash all her anger about her ex's wedding Such a good scene.. With a little of Lucy throwing his words back like no one else can. Lastly ending with them deciding to spend their last moments on earth together drinking booze. Damn good ep.
2x10-The Dark Side
Ahhh the pre-DOD episode. Where Tim spends the entire episode being over protective of Lucy and not sure why he is. All he knows is he doesn't like this guy sniffing around her. His cop gut screaming at him with a mixture of jealously and actual worry. The whole episode is one giant foreshadowing for the following episode.
2x14 Casualties
Tim background eps are always my jam. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this man and learning of his history. Getting a little look into his life in the service with Mitch. Also the intro of their fur-baby Kojo and how very unready Lucy is to care for him. We get our next Iconic OTP line 'Some things matter more.' A moment which is such a prominent scene for them. Good precursor to the moment they share in 2x19 as well.
2x01 impact
The premiere got some real good stuff. We see how Tim reacts so very poorly to Lucy protecting him. Regressing them both with his flour bomb moment. HIs anger coming out in everything he does with her in this episode. Lucy taking it at first then reaches her boiling point towards the end. Basically hands him his ass in a way only Lucy Chen can. It's glorious. Turns him around so much he brags on her to Grey later on about her jump after a suspect. 'Of course she did. I trained her.'
~~~
Season 3
3x09 Amber
Ahh my fav ep of the season. This episode has so many good moments. Lucy with her list for a 'healthy parting.' How she is determined to make her last day a big deal with Tim. Where as Tim is also determined, just in the opposite direction. Because if he talks about it he's going to have to face her leaving. Which we all know he does not want to do. Fights her on it most of the episode. Until something serious happens. Then Tim finally gives in to distract Lucy from the stressful baby scenario they're currently in.
Takes care of her by letting her do the bloody list he's trying to avoid. They have a lovely moment of reminiscing over Plain Clothes Day. How far Lucy has come since that moment. The amount of confidence she had gained. Learning to trust her instincts fully. Something Tim saw in her day one and wanted her to hone in on. Lucy then brings up UC and Tim saying she doesn't have what it takes. it leads into the most iconic moment of the episode. Where she "pretends" to have feelings for Tim.
Sending Tim into an ABSOLUTE panic till she can't take it anymore and breaks into pure laughter. Wounding his pride severely in the process of proving her point. We get two epic moments in this episode. The parking garage scene is lovely. A culmination of the last year of so. How far they've both come. His last eval being one that brings them full circle. Lucy's flour bomb finishing off the nostalgia. The heart eyes galore in this scene and its topped off with them calling each other by their first names. Starting a new chapter with this wonderful moment.
2. 3x14 Threshold
I LOVE this episode so much. It's why it's number 2. This episode is the culmination of Lucy's fast track UC training with Harper. Lucy chomping at the bit to prove herself. A VERY anxious Tim observing from the outside. The flirty flirt we get in the car makes me squee every time. Little bit of Tim and Lucy truly coming out in that moment. The touching is everything as she communicates silently with him about what's going on.
Then we get this moment above. Where they are blatantly flirting and checking each other out. Especially Tim. Man could not be more transparent in his attraction to Lucy at this point. The elevator gaze before they even talk. *fans self* Shameless flirting, praise from Tim and to top it off Tim is the one to ask Lucy to save him a dance. I remember going out of my mind with excitement when I saw this episode. Look at them above. My god the UST in immense and I love it so very much.
3. 3x06 Revelations
The episode where Lucy begins her interest in UC. It's a ROUGH episode for Tim for a lot of reasons. From his PTSD about Isabel with Mack showing up to seeing Lucy put in harms way. We see the protective side come out fiercely in this one. He doesn't even try to tamp it down. Especially in front of others. i.e. the entire OP room LOL Tim battling past demons and losing terribly. Seeing his favorite human put at risk isn't sitting well with him. His panic at losing her or possibly getting hurt making him lose his mind.
Lucy just wanting him to be proud of her. For showing an interest outside of patrol. To be excited she got put on an OP because she kicked ass on the fly. Impressed Harper enough to green light her. His approval and opinion meaning the entire world to her. When he doesn't she is so very discouraged. That's what makes the moment above so important and amazing. Tim putting aside those demons and letting her have that approval and praise she earned ten times over. Because at the end of the day this OP was about her and not him. So he puts her first with the lovely moment above.
4. 3x11 New Blood
Where we see Lucy be utterly CONSUMED by jealously and insecurities. Tim gets his new rookie and Lucy is excited at first. Then see's Tim isn't treating her anywhere near how she was treated in the beginning. He's being nice, letting her drive, buying her coffee, being soft and empathetic. All things she had to drag out of him kicking and screaming. I've said this before but Tim was her first real 'puppy' with massive success. It was a lot of work though for her to have the relationship she has with him now.
Then this Katie Barnes comes in and gets it all in one shift. Lucy is losing her damn mind most of the ep. Watching from afar with massive jealously. Poor Jackson has to listen to it most of his shift LOL Comes with the bestie territory though. By the end of the episode she see's Tim filling out her paperwork and lets Tim have it. What I love is he doesn't get mad at her for it.
Doesn't reprimand her just quell's her insecurities. Explaining why he was training Barnes the way he was. Then seals the scene with the lovely line above. Lucy is absolutely beaming when he walks away. Full of so much joy and happiness she can't contain herself. He thinks she is one of the best rookie's he's trained and lets her know it. Saying maybe one day Katie could be as good as her. *sigh* So good.
5. 3x01 Consequences
Their first marriage episode of the season. Where Lucy is on Tim like white on rice. Her confidence and self esteem shines through out this season and this is the starter episode of it all. The way they go through Nolan's house together is fantastic. She challenges Tim the entire time with her own cop gut. It's so fun to watch the back and forth.
They go from cute banter to Tim being a fierce protector when they have to go see Rosalind. Tim tries to prevent her from going in. Wanting to shield her from this monster. Lucy refuses says she can handle it. Rosalind just see's someone she can play with. Tim attempts to hold back. Not interfere and tries to keep Lucy steady. Then loses it when she taunts Lucy with her barrel song. The official title of 'Fierce protector.' is born in this moment. Such a good episode for them beginning to end.
Honorable Mentions
3x02 In-Justice
I adore this ep because it is one giant flirting session. The scene above alone is proof of that. Tim just sitting back and enjoying the Lucy show. Setting up a game he knows she is going to absolutely crush. (and does) They're legit flirting in front of their call for like two minutes before they disengage and Lucy works her magic. Also we get to see how soft Tim is for Lucy and gone for her with her car. Telling her to get over until Caleb PTSD in brought into the picture. It's then he caves instantly. Also the introduction of their pseudo daughter Tamara. Lucy's 'puppy.'
3x04-Sabotage
The fruit of the last couple eps coming to fruition. Lucy having Tim revisit something he did on her first shift. Confronting him about how he treated those gardeners. Not only that but the impact he had on them through his actions. This brings Tim's defenses immediately up and he snaps at her. Trying to defend his actions because he is feeling defensive. He does a poor job of it and shuts down completely. Reason being he's ashamed of who he was then and Lucy bringing it up hurts in a way he wasn't expecting.
We get to see our boy go through some serious growth. MASSIVE growth really. I could not be prouder of him for it. For not shutting down for the rest of the day. Letting Lucy know he was wrong and what he can do so it never happens again. Love this ep for the Tim growth, Lucy calling him out and letting him know how proud she is of him. It's such a good moment/ep for them.
3x07 True Crime
I personally LOVE the documentary episodes so much. The reason being their banter is the best part. Their chemistry is on full display for all to see. Lucy owns Tim's ass in this one. Shoots down all his cocky comments. He is also all heart eyes whenever she isn't crushing him with her words ahha. Light hearted fun ep for them.
3x08 Bad Blood
Good ep for Tim telling her like it is when he's trying to avoid it like the plague haha Emmett breaking up with her over text. Lucy doesn't handle it well. She self destructs till Tim does what he does best and gives her some solid perspective. Helping her finally solve the 'Why' behind her break up.
3x05 Lockdown
Tim and Lucy being a united front against Doug is the absolute best. How Tim comes tearing into the station after Stanton and Lucy has to stop him. Then Stanton is an extra ass and Tim then has to prevent Lucy from hurting him. The way they have each other's backs always gets to me. They spend the entire episode this kick ass duo determined to protect Jackson. I love it sfm.
~~~~
Season 4 another super hard one for me but top ten helped.
4x09 Breakdown
I'm sure some of you thought I would choose 4x22. It follows this one pretty closely but I ADORE this episode. It's my favorite for so many reasons. Lucy has a day off and how does she spend it? With Tim and his sister redoing his childhood home. Totally normal 'Friend' status there. Nothing soulmate level about that at all....Then they spend the episode chasing down his father's sordid past. This is due to a gun they find in the wall. Not only that but how heavily Tim leans on Lucy during the process.
Let's her take the lead and trusts her to handle portions of it for him. Like interrogating his dad's former mistress. Then we get this GLORIOUS scene above. Hands down my favorite hug of their's. Tim confronting his father and walking out feeling nuclear in his emotions. He is radioactive from that interaction and so very hurt. He explains what his father did to Lucy. He's so disgusted and hurt.
Then he is NEEDING Lucy to know he isn't his father. That the Tim tests don't make him like his dad. He is on the verge of tears as he says this to her. The most vulnerable we have ever seen Tim in general but especially with her. Lucy jumping into action and gathering him up in her arms. Comforting him, letting him know he is NOTHING like him. Tim sinks into the hug. Wraps himself entirely around her. Letting her hold him up emotionally. It's here we see the last of his wall crumble to the ground never to be rebuilt again. This was the ep I knew we were headed towards them getting together. All time fav ep.
2. 4x22 Day in The Hole
So much to love in this episode. From their daughter getting her ‘first’ car to finding Tim's bizzaro world double 'Dim' LOL Also the introduction of Juicy aha It's so good I can not. Lucy getting beyond excited to get Tim all dressed up for his UC mission. Especially with the tattoo's. Then when Juicy gets involved so does Lucy. It's AU Tim and Lucy and I was dying. Lucy breaks his brain in more ways than one above. The way she stuns him with her UC background for their characters LMAO He stumbles on his words and shifts like his pants are getting little tight for him heh. They haven't even kissed yet.
It will forever crack me up his reaction. Also the hilarious lead up to the kiss. How nervous and awkward they are. 'Well that's romantic....I wasn't trying to be romantic.' LMFAO. Clearly Timothy.... Eric and Melissa's chemistry on full display in this moment. Then the way Lucy just grabs his face and the kiss above happens. How they instantly melt into each other. Like why haven't we been doing this the entire time? You can see Tim ready to seriously deepen the kiss above. The pre-tongue action going on. Hot damn. I remember having to rewind it making sure what I was seeing was real.
The hilarity that ensures when Tamara walks in is so so funny. Never not cackle at this. Lucy's 'Oh!' and Tim is stumbling over himself to get out of there. Makes me laugh just writing it. The awkward 'Good jobs' and pointing. I'm dying. Tim's epiphany in the hallway is the best. Can no longer run from how he feels anymore. That kiss unlocking why he's felt the way he does. The awkward way they interact at the station. Both hiding in their vehicles waiting to find the courage to come out. Gah such a good finale leading to an incredible season 5.
3. 4x12 The Knock
Another episode on the road to them ending up together. They are at soulmate level territory in the scene above alone. The entire episode is fantastic. 'Personal space I don't know her' is the theme of this episode for them. From this 'date' to their case. Where Tim lets her take the lead. They're right on top of each other in that hallway scene when Tim is asking her POV on what they should do.
The beach date is one of the best parts. I don't know how both Ashley and Chris didn't just get up and leave. It's so obvious Tim and Lucy are the ones on a date. Chris and Ashley just happen to be there. The way they flirt the entire time, the inside jokes, the way they know each other so deeply. Their intimate connection on full display.
It's the lack of space I adore so much. That magnetic pull of their's. Never be over Gerald the goat. The way they lovingly stare at each other after he's told the story. The only ones laughing are them. To think either of them (Chris and Ashley) actually thought they had a chance against their bond. Such fools. I would've been highly threatened after that display. Something so intimate about knowing someone on an emotional level like they do. Height of their soulmate moments in this one.
4. 4x18-Backstabbers
Gah this episode be still my damn shipper heart. Lucy getting annoyed she isn't getting any recognition as Tim's aide. Naturally at first Tim pushes against it. Gives her crap for asking for it. Little bit of Old school Tim coming out in this scenario. But we see by the end of the episode him cracking for her. Like he always does. Tim cashing in on the dance he owed her from 3x14. How these two don't know they're in love at this point I couldn't tell you. Blows my damn mind.
The fact that he gives up recognition for her to have it. To further her career and telling her he wants her to be successful? Gah not to mention the heart eyes in this moment. Lucy is beaming brightly like a Christmas tree at this gesture. Tim is so so gone for her by this point it's oozing out of him. If you watched these two above with no context you'd think they were together. Everything about them says how in love they are. The entire scene is one giant I love you/in love with you moment. Tim I don't do weddings Bradford tearing up the dance floor with his girl. Gah I can not.
5. 4x01-Life and Death
The premiere is so very very good. Tim offering her a safe space the moment they get some time alone. Especially after hearing how heartbroken she is. How she can't go back to her apt without Jackson right now. The way he gives her a safe place to crash land into. I love it sfm. Then we get the gloriously intimate and beautiful hug above. The one that sparks the flame between them. One they've been trying to keep at a low flame roaring into an inferno. Their emotions and closeness ramping it up to a level neither is ready for.
The chemistry in this moment is out of this world good. Both being smacked in the face with the growing UST between them. Lucy going for it but it being shot down by Wesley's call. Gah such a good way to start an amazing season. Then Lucy spends the rest of the episode worrying about him from the other side of the world. Letting him know that worry until he makes it back. Such a good premiere.
Honorable Mentions
4x07 Fire Fight
This scene alone is why it's my first honorable mention. Phew lord. The fiery UST in this scene. HOT DAMN. The brazen way they're both looking at each other. This is totally platonic friendship right here....The intense gaze gets me in my shipper feels. Then Tim gets his wits about him a bit before sassing her. Telling her the mic is too high. Her ripping it right off and his face LOL They're so married it kills me. I do love the way she bosses him around in this scene and afterwards when he's in the car. She's projecting jealously entire time.
4x06 Poetic Justice
Oh you know just another episode where all they do is compete and flirt. Not caring about anyone else around them while they do so. Because they can't handle their emotions yet. So they intensely channel it into flirting and competitive things instead. I love these idiots so much.
4x08 -Hit and Run
I LOVE this episode for the Tim background alone. We get the introduction of his sister Genny. Who I love sfm. Lucy of course eats up her being there. She THRIVES on any morsel of info she can get on his background. Lucy is enjoying herself till his dark childhood is brought up. His sister is there to sell their childhood home and he doesn't want to be apart of it. ""Wha-what do you want? Some other family to just cuddle up under the broken plaster where dad slammed my head against the wall?" Ugh my heart. My boy. But it's such a good episode in full for Tim. Also for Lucy getting to meet his sister.
4x14-The Long Shot
This is a great episode for Lucy. We get to see more about her background as well. Finally finding out why her mother is the way she is with her. Her deep digging revealing her father isn't her real father. How much she struggles in this episode emotionally. We get to see how natural it is for Tim to be there for her. Not an ounce of fight left in him to stay out of her personal life. This is just part of who they are now and it's such growth I can not stand it.
4x16-Real Crime
Another gem for the documentary series. If you think they were married in this last one they double down on this one. The amount of cuteness, sass and marriage moments is primo in this one. 'Can I be interviewed alone?' LMAO The epitome of Grumpy x Sunshine. Lucy having the time of her life while Tim is a grumpsaurous. Their dynamic gives me life haha I adore this entire episode for them.
S5 I adore all it's own. If you want a ranking from 1-22 I can do that but I can not choose. Hurts me too much to do that LOL but here are my picks for 1-4. Once again thank you for being so patient on my reply. This was a hefty ask to answer thank you for asking me :) I hope you enjoy the answer.

4. “You know I’d do anything to have you stay by my side, right? Anything.”
Hi! I had a bad day and was wondering if you could do this, for me? Like honestly this two are my comfort ship
Context/Ideas: Adamsapple wedding, Heaven and Lilith intervenes to try and take the first man back and Lilith is trying to get her (ex) Husband back and trying to make him "see reason' on gow marrying Adam is a mistake. Clearly it doesn't work for them..
If you're still out there anon, I hope this brightens your day. :)
"Lilith, what are you doing here?" Lucifer asked as he stared down his ex-wife. She could not have picked a worse day to show up from her long absence.
Today him and Adam were getting married. In 20 minutes in fact. He didn't have time for her mellow drama his fiance was waiting.
"Lucifer darling, I've come to make you see reason. You don't really want to marry Adam of all people do you? I'm back now, we can be together again." Lilith said in a sweet voice. A voice that had she been here 15 years ago, he would have melted for.
Now it just pisses him off.
"You left me, remember? I've finally found someone to be happy with." He crossed his arms over his chest.
She scoffed at him. "Adam makes you happy? I know you've had needs with me being away and all. I get it, I didn't expect you to go without getting some. But marriage is too far. We are still married!" Her eyes flashed red.
Lucifers own turned red as well. "Actually, after seven years of no contact I can assume you're dead. Our marriage was over the second you walked out the damn door!" He could feel himself getting mad. "I love Adam, maybe more than I loved you."
Lilith gasped, "Take it back!"
The door behind her opened. It was Adam. "Lucifer, do you know why the fuck angels are here and-" He stopped when he saw Lilith. "Hey bitch, how was vacation?" He sneered, he didn't really give a shit. She had been on that beach for so long he was surprised her ass didn't fuse with the beach chair.
Lilith was pissed. Her true demon form came out. "YOU!" She brandished her long sharp claws. "Husband stealing prick!!" She took a swipe at him.
Adam knew he couldn't fight her, as a sinner he had no powers. He couldn't move in time. All he thought about was how this was going to fucking hurt.
So much for a happy wedding day.
He closed his eyes and waited for the pain. But it never came. Adam cracked an eye open and saw that Lucifer had come between them, holding Lilith by the wrist.
"Don't you DARE lay a hand on him. Bringing harm to a ruler of Hell is treason Lilith. You are not the queen anymore." Lucifer growled out his voice demonic.
Lilith just looked at him with a gobsmacked expression. "You can't be serious!?"
"Dead serious." With everything he had he tossed her across the room, she landed in a heep on the floor. "Now, collect your angel pals, go back to heaven and LEAVE US ALONE!"
Lilith got up and glared. "Fine. Marry that second rate loser asshole. Don't come crying to me when it doesn't last." And in a puff of smoke, she was gone.
Lucifer turned to Adam. "Are you okay? What's going on?"
"Sera was trying to get me to go back to heaven with her. I told her to go pound sand." Adam looked at him. "Why did you do that?"
Lucifer cupped Adam's face, looking into golden eyes that stole his every thought. "You know I'd do anything to keep you by my side right? Anything. That means telling her to get lost and stopping her from hurting you."
"You chose me over her?" Adam felt his heart flutter. He was always worried that if the day came that that bitch came back, Luci would choose her. For once, he was glad to be wrong.
"Of course. I love you, Adam. I'm going to marry you for Satan's sake. Speaking of, why aren't you ready?"
"Angels in the way."
Lucifer shook his head. "Well they're gone now. Go get in your suit and I'll meet you out there."
Adam smiled. "Okay. I'll see you out there."
He couldn't wait to marry the love of his life.

Hey could I request a Lockwood x reader based on the first verse of Stay Stay Stay by Taylor Swift where maybe Lockwood was reckless again on a case and the reader and Lockwood get into an argument but the next morning she wants to try to resolve the argument
—stay, stay, stay
pairing: anthony lockwood x reader
summary: you should never leave a fight unresolved
warnings: screaming nothing else i think
note: such a cool idea, I'm literally living for this
“let’s just calm down and talk tomorrow”
“calm down, do you think i’m not calm right now?”
“well! you don’t really act like it”
the screaming could be heard throughout the whole house. George and Lucy were sitting downstairs and listened to every word that sounded through the thin walls of the kitchen.
“it’s worse than last time, isn’t it?” Lucy asked softly, still ducking at every loud curse word she could hear you and Lockwood scream
“it’s always worse than the last time” George answered rolling his eyes. he was used to your fighting, but still he wouldn’t be caught going up there any time soon.
it’s not like you fought often, but the times you did, it was so memorable that Lucy and George would find each other sitting in the kitchen and comparing how bad the fight was to the one prior.
the one topic that you always fought about seemed to be each others safety, because both you and Lockwood had a tendency to do quite reckless things. this time it had been Lockwood, jumping down a bridge into the water, about ten feet.
you had been at home, sitting and waiting uncomfortably for your boyfriend and your friends to return. George had told you what had happened and you had left the room quietly, Lockwood sighing before he followed you, ready for what was about to happen.
up in your room you were pacing around, Lockwood was sitting on the bed, trying to calm you down.
“don’t be so smart with me, mister”
“i’m not trying to” Lockwood said “i don’t want to fight anymore”
“whose fault is it that we’re fighting?” you asked rhetorically, daring him to answer
“not mine” he shrugged, laying on that stupid grin of his. you guessed that he was trying to get you to laugh, to ease the situation. that wouldn’t work this time.
his smile faded as he saw your expression turning even angrier -he hadn’t thought that was possible- before you took the first object you could find - a book - and threw it at him, only missing by a few inches.
“not yours?” you screeched, before you ran out of the room. you were sure that you had never been that angry before, and you desperately needed to calm down before you would seriously hurt anyone.
down in the kitchen George and Lucy winced simultaneously, as the thrown book made contact with the wall, echoing throughout the house.
this had never happened before. Lucy and George exchanged a scared look, assuming the worst, that possibly one of you had turned violent and hurt the other. badly - hurt the other
they stood up abruptly as you walked into the kitchen.
“are you alright?” Lucy asked concerned
“i’m fine” you replied, trying to not let your anger get the better of you and scream at her too. “i’m just tired of him”
as if on cue, Lockwood walked into the kitchen as well, watching as you poured yourself a cup of tea.
“sweetheart” he said softly.
you put the kettle down loudly, making everyone wince. “do not talk to me”
you turned around quickly, dodging his body that moved forward, as you made your way out of the kitchen. they could only hear the sound of you slamming the door and turning the key, locking the room.
Lockwood sighed and sat down at the table.
“this time was really bad, wasn’t it?” asked Lucy, while she pushed the plate filled with biscuits in his direction
Lockwood nodded as he thankfully took one of the biscuits. “she hasn’t screamed like that in ages”
“there was a loud sound… you didn’t..?” Lockwoods eyes grew big at what George suggested
“of course i didn’t hit her, George!” he leaned forward, his eyebrows tugged together, a look of betrayal on his face, hurt that his friends would ever think that he’d lay a hand on her. “she threw a book at me”
“sorry” George muttered
“then why is it so bad this time?” Lucy asked “you’ve done much worse than throw yourself off a bridge”
“it’s her brothers death anniversary and i knew that” he sighed “i should’ve just stayed home tonight, not worry her anymore than necessary”
“oh” Lucy and George exclaimed at the same time. they had known about your brothers death, but not that it had happened today all those years ago.
“yeah” Lockwood nodded “i better go talk to her, she doesn’t like to go to bed angry”
Lucy and George nodded and watched as he made his way out of the kitchen and back up to your room. they stayed silent, listening to his soft knocks on your door
“i hate you so much right now” you said as you opened the door and Lockwood could see your tearstained cheeks
“i know” he said softly
“but you’re still my favourite person and i need you”
“i know” he followed you into the room and climbed into bed next to you, holding you in his arms. “we can talk about the fight tomorrow”
he could feel you nodding your head, before you fell asleep, still crying softly.
when you woke up the next morning, your boyfriend was still lying next to you. you saw that he was already awake, reading a book. the very book that you had thrown at him and that had spent the night laying on the floor right next to his side on the bed.
“we should talk” you said softly, sitting up. his eyes wandered over you and he nodded
“i just need a second” he said, leaving the room.
you stood up, changing into one of his sweatshirts, head turned away from the door, when you heard him walk back into the room.
“i’m sorry that i was so angry, but just, you know what day it was and i thought that you—“ you turned around, stopping mid-sentence at the sight in front of you.
Lockwood had come back. but now he was looking ridiculous. he was wearing his dads oversized football helmet, the one you had tried to hide from him many times, considering it was way too big for your boyfriend.
you broke into giggles, having to sit down on the bed
“okay, let’s talk” Lockwood was able to mutter, before he joined into your laughing
“why the hell are you wearing that?” you asked between laughter
“for the case that you decide to throw something at me again, of course”
“i love you” you just said, smiling
Lockwoods grin turned serious and he stepped closer to you, taking off the helmet. “i love you” he said “and i know that i was way out of line yesterday, and that i hurt you. i said many things i didn’t mean”
“i know, thank you” you nodded “i’m sorry for the way that i screamed at you. i hate fighting, but you make me just so angry sometimes”
“it think that’s a good sign” Lockwood smiled “imagine you would never feel anything towards me, i’d say our romance was dead, but that proves how much we mean to each other, especially when we’re able to reflect and say sorry”
“i know” you stepped closer, taking the helmet off his hands “but that goes back into the attic”
“didn’t expect any different” Lockwood shrugged while you put the helmet down on the ground
without another word he opened his arms and you stepped in to hug him. he planted a kiss on top of your head.
“just stay with me forever, okay?” you asked softly “then everything will be fine”
“it never even crossed my mind to leave you”
“good”
“also, it’s pretty funny when you’re mad”
you slapped his arm “Anthony Lockwood!”
Lucy and George just rolled their eyes down in the kitchen, knowing well that you had just made up.

kintsugi
kintsugi is the japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. it treats breaking and repair as part of its history, rather than something that should be hidden
synopsis when you go searching for your cousin in london, you find yourself meeting someone you wouldn’t expect
pairing george karim x gn carlyle! reader
req yes
wc 1.6k
an i lowkey wanna make this a series so pls lmk what you think!
as you walked the cobbled streets of London, you stopped at 35 portland row. you walked up the steps and paused. you were here to see your cousin Lucy, and it wouldn't be a stretch to say you were both somewhat estranged.
after your aunt had told your mother of what Lucy had done, running away from home to who knows where she was never spoken about again. any mention of her name would have your mother sending daggers in your direction. so when you saw a boy on the news talking about a Lucy Carlyle and her talent, you knew what you were going to do.
following in her footsteps in the early hours of the morning, you collected most of your essentials in a trunk and maneuvered yourself out of your window. it took a bit of parkour to get down, but you hit the ground running.
after saving money from all the jobs you've worked, there was more than enough to get a one-way ticket to London. you couldn't go back, not that you minded that much. your mother and hers were alike in many ways. always taking what they wanted and never offering any affection in return. after all, it was better to be alone than surrounded by those who didn't care about you.
the train ride was more nerve-wracking than you expected. your mind kept on bringing up different scenarios, each worse than the last. what if she didn't want you there? what if she hated you? what if she somehow blamed you for all of it?
you were so deep in thought you almost didn't clock that the train had begun to slow, eventually halting to a stop. you stood up as your heartbeat quickened. you were here.
you made your way through the crowd, acutely aware of those who surrounded you. being pickpocketed, or worse, kidnapped, was the last thing you needed. not knowing where you were going, you stopped a guard for directions for Lockwood & co. once you had them repeat it thrice, you were on your way.
it had started to rain. you didn't notice it at first, gentle taps soon turned into harsh strikes. the muscles in your arm were burning, and you regretted bringing the trunk each step you took. your hair was soaked, your socks were soaked, but at least your coat was waterproof. once you spotted your destination, your shoulders relaxed. only a few more steps and you were there.
you were at their doorstep; her doorstep. you were here. really, actually, truly, here. your heartbeat quickened, and your hands began to wetten; the rain and sweat combined left you cold and terrified. suddenly all your fears were hitting you in full force, and you couldn't help but want to walk away; to simply become a hermit in some far-off place, never to see her or anyone else again. but before you could wallow in your misery anymore, you brought your fist to the door and knocked three times, very aggressively. probably too aggressively, but the cold had set in, and you couldn't help the shakes you were getting.
george was on the stairs, dusting the clippings that were framed on the wall. lockwood really needed to up his cleaning game. he liked cleaning though; it helped him relax. as he wiped the glass, he was in an almost meditative state, the monotony drowning out everything else around him.
that was until he heard something assaulting the front door. to call whatever he had just heard a knock would not only be a false but a totally erroneous one. already dreading who he assumed was a new customer, he envisioned some old man. entitled and rude, not willing to pay even half of what should be expected. but as he opened the door and came face to face with the visitor, he couldn't have been any more wrong. they looked like a wet cat. hair stuck to their face, the coat they had on was fighting for its life in the storm, and they were shaking so much that it looked like they were vibrating. you were intriguing
he was pretty, really pretty in fact. but after holding eye contact with this boy for an uncomfortably long time you spoke, "Is Lucy Carlyle here?"
that did the trick. his eyes lit up as he quickly ushered you inside, muttering something about you becoming ill. those mutters quickly turned into shouts as he screamed
"LUCE, COME DOWN HERE"
your head snapped up to him before looking back down. you shrugged your coat off and placed it on top of your trunk. you really eyeing freezing now. it seemed like he could tell; eyed you up and down he announced that the kettle was going on.
once you were left alone, you stood awkwardly at the entrance. messing with your hands, you thought back to when you were little.
you and luce were the same age; your mothers had thought it would be nice to have you both at the same time and live together as neighbours. after your mother moved for work, you did with her. that didn't stop you from seeing each other during break or holiday, though. not a month went by where you didn't meet up at least once.
when you were 3, you baked your first pie together; it was an apple one. lucy had picked them herself. she was awfully proud of it. while you were making the filling, she kept on adding more spices, saying it would make it “more pretty”. you put the top half of the dough on top, adding the small slits. once it was baked, your mom cut you a slice, and you nearly gagged. there was way too much cinnamon.
when you were 10, you learned how to ride bikes together. it was serious business. one day, you both decided to finally go down the big hill in your neighborhood. as you went down, you lost control and ended up scraping yourself up pretty bad. lucy held your hand as you walked back home teary-eyed, she tapped out a pattern on your shoulder to distract you when the hydrogen peroxide came into contact with your knees. you could still remember the bubbles.
when you were 15, she introduced you to her friend Norrie. you went out and picked apples together to make pie. now you could lattice it, and as an extra touch, you added some roses. as you bit into your artwork, you held back a choke. still way too much cinnamon
george’s mind raced as he set the kettle on. you were stunning, you were interesting, ugh. he had so many questions, for you, for himself, for lucy. who were you? why were you here? did you think he was cool?
he poured milk into a cup and microwaved it. he normally didn’t bother, he didn’t really know why he was doing it right now. and for a complete stranger too. but he ignored the chaos going on in his head to make the tea. it was going to be the best he’s ever made.
lockwood came from the basement to see george acting like he was on masterchef. there was no reason for him to be that into making tea, in his time knowing him he’d never seen him so into something not ghost related. so he sat down and watched the performance.
as the kettle boiled george poured it all into a saucepan, adding spices and tea leaves he swore he wouldn’t touch even if the queen herself was at their door. as it boiled even more, he took out the warm milk and added the tea to a cup. then the milk, and he was done. it was his masterpiece. as he turned around, cup in hand and jumped. he hadn’t noticed lockwood and he had really given him a fright.
hearing the sharp echo of glass breaking broke you out of your trance, you glances quickly towards the sound before hearing a voice you’ve been dying to hear for months.
“y/n?”
lucy stood atop the stairs in her heart pajamas, the ones you got for her. her hair was still dripping, but that didn’t matter as she bolted down the stairs and into your embrace.
your worries melted as her arms encompassed you. you both knew what the other wanted to say, no words needed. how’ve you been? have you been eating well? i’ve missed you. i’ve thought about you. i love you.
you pulled away from each other and smiled. how could you have ever thought she’d be upset at you?
both your heads turned as the boy with glasses came out, with another this time. lockwood, you recognized him from tv. he seemed amused while the other was grumbling on about something.
after lockwood assessed the situation quickly, he offered you his hand and introduced himself. you did the same.
you faced the other boy, his eyes didn’t meet yours as he said his name.
george karim, it had a nice ring to it. you smiled at him, and he did the same, finally bringing his eyes to look back into yours.
lockwood and lucy shot each other a knowing glance, you both were going to get along very well.

Please please read this and give it some love but I had an inkling of this feeling but never mentioned it cause I thought it was absurd.
Basically its a tweet of a reddit post (inception ik) basically of how Tim is basically rewriting the characters back to the way they were.
More below 👇🏾
Everyone's been mentioning how the characters have been more in character and the actors are happy and that makes sense.
He's been making them more in character than they ever were.
And with the Buddie situation (yes not everything is about them but i am a buddie fan who happened to find and grow to love this show because of it) it makes the most sense.
Now that Oliver mentioned the love story and everyone assumed it was the shooting and being in live it made the most sense.
Who else was he going to be falling in love woth at the time? It surely wasn't Taylor. Their romantic relationship was always doomed to fail and it was a great friendship they had (ehhh sideye for Bobby situation and Jonah eventually) that lasted if they weren't too persnally involved in each others lives.
She'd have been a perfect friend for him to gossip about the drama at the 118 (not work cause you know she'd make a story). That relationship wasn't going to work. He's too honest and she's too opportunisic.
If it hadn't been Jonah it'd be something else and he'd feel the same sense of betrayal (also Buck kissing Lucy was betrayal but that also felt a lil like assult cause she got him reallllly drunk and if the roles were reversed people wouldn't be that enthusiastic about it).
The only other love story that's been written logically as a will they won't they tragic and emotionally complex story is Buck and Eddie's.
Season 2 he replaced his love intrest! Like come on!
But in all seriousness, the Ana breakup and ll the vague dollow your heart is basically being rehashed.
I remember someone mentioning that Marisol is just another Ana (whoever you are if you see this send me hit I'll put it in here) and that's actually true.
Yay Marisol no last name haters your time has arrived cause it's official she's done!
There's no worry because we're getting a conclusion on the fact that was supposed to happen years ago.
She's not a permanent structure.
This storyline can go two ways.
One Buddie confirmed season 8.
Or two, Eddie realizes what his family could look like and its a single parent home with a support system from work (and Buck but we're gonna just gloss over that for now).
Meta linked above I just talked about Eddie and its coming to fruition (hire me abc im getting better at screenwriting!).
For the first one it's juicy storytelling.
For the other it makes sense as development for Eddie becoming comfortable with himself apart from his identity as a husband/widower, son, Catholic, and father.
He'll learn to bebhimself which he hadn't had the opportunity to do as he had fell into adulthood with his kid and then added on having a child with a disability that needs a lot of monetary support he ended up losing the chance to figure out who he is without all of that.
Even if it's not romantic (😔) it's great for him to realize he doesn't really need to be with anyone or fulfill a role he's not ready or willing to fill due to duty.
He can just be a father and work it iut that way.
Chris only wants his dad happy and I sense he knows his dad isn't happy at times or even worse he's not happy but is pretending so that his dad can be happy as he feels he has to give him that space/approval.
Chris is getting a storyline and he's always been observant so he'll most likely either explode in his feelings and tell his dad or tell him in a misunderstanding (he is getting to be a moody teen after all it's not going to be an adult reaction).
He's been close to death, heard his dad lose it and loat his mom. He's more mature than people give him credit for but the story hadn't included him much recently so we'll just have to see.

Lockwood has been avoiding you, and you're not sure why.
It started a few weeks ago.
Usually, the two of you would spend mornings together in the kitchen, talking over steaming cups of tea as you waited for Lucy and George to get up. Your afternoons could go any which way - relaxing in the house, taking consultations with possible clients, running around London for god knows what. Evenings, well, they were your favourite. If you weren't on a case, either with the whole team or just paired with Lockwood, you'd sit in the library together, simply enjoying the other's company as you read one of the many novels in the house and he sifted through magazine after magazine.
Now, though, it's all changed. Lockwood is never in the kitchen when you're there on your own. He doesn't sit next to you during consultations, or invite you on his errands around the city. Worse, he isn't taking you along on cases with him, opting to take Lucy or George instead.
It shouldn't upset you the way it does, but it's not like you can help it. He's your closest friend. Your partner in crime. Without him, what are you?
Lucy has her theories but you're not overly convinced.
One of her theories sits in front of you currently, sipping a mug of coffee under the bright lights of the Costa you chose to hang out in today.
"Any interesting cases lately?" Kipps asks. "I can't imagine Tony would like to take any of the boring ones, but I suppose he'll have to take anything he can get, really."
You glare at him half-heartedly. "We take anything we can get, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. We help out the people who can't afford your fancy services. And, yes, I'll have you know we did have a particularly strange one, recently."
One of his eyebrows quirks up. It looks like a bushy caterpillar. "Go on."
"This murdered woman, right, who had been wanting revenge for her death. Turns out, the house was being occupied by some descendant of her murderer. He got ghost-touched, ended up dying, and then his husband came to get our help. You'll never guess what her source was."
Kipps thinks for a moment. "Her favourite necklace, stuffed under the floorboards somewhere."
You cross your arms in an X shape and make a 'wrong answer' buzzer sound. "It was her old record player that had gotten passed on from owner to owner. Apparently, the record on it had been on it for so long that it had melted onto it. The song had been playing while she died."
"That's awfully grim." Kipss takes another sip of his coffee, but he frowns as if it no longer tastes as nice. "And any improvement with Tony? Any conversations longer than five words?"
"No," you say miserably. You stir your spoon around in your tea, hating the way one guy has made your mood go from relatively okay to the opposite. "I don't know what I've done. I invited him to come to Arif's with me the other day, yeah? You know what he said? Lucy would love to go. And that was it! Lucy wasn't even home. The prick."
His gaze flickers to the door of the café. "You might want to keep your voice down."
"Why?"
When you turn, you realise why. In comes Lockwood, hair damp from the rain that pours down outside and jacket dripping, but still as radiant as ever. His face is almost glowing from the brightness of his smile as he laughs at something the girl beside him says.
Something in your chest squeezes horribly at the sight.
You turn back to look at Kipps, plastering on a smile as you swallow the burning feeling in your throat.
"He's coming over," he says, sipping his coffee - not - casually. He seemingly can't decide whether he should look at you or the person approaching. "Act normal."
As you sip your tea, which has gone a little cold after being left untouched during your conversation, Lockwood's shadow covers the table.
"(name)," he says, and you can hear the smile in his voice. "What a surprise to see you here."
You press your lips together. "Yes, well, I told you I was coming here today. What a coincidence."
When you look up at him, he's wearing that dazzling smile of his, and your breath catches. How long has been giving this other girl - the one who floats by his side - that very same smile? Has he smiled at her in that private way of his, where the corners of his lips twitch a little? Has he told her why he's got a scar on his forehead, and the stupid story of how he got it?
"Tony," Kipps says, giving him a curt nod. "(name) and I just met up to catch up on things. It's been a little bit since we last saw each other."
It's almost unnoticeable, but a muscle twitches in his jaw. "Two weeks, if I'm right? That time when our cases were next door to each other." he pauses then, glancing at the girl beside him "Oh, sorry, how rude of me. (name), Kipps, this is my friend Talia. Talia, this is Kipps, supervisor for one of the Fittes teams, and this is (name), my employee."
Your teeth grind together. "Just an employee? Hmm, okay."
"Nice to meet you," Talia says, smiling.
She seems nice, and you want to like her, you really do, but you can't. Still, for her sake, you repeat the phrase politely.
"Well, we best go get a table," Lockwood says, "before they all fill up from the lunch rush. Let's go, Talia. See you soon, (name)."
Despite wanting to swear at him, you give him the best smile you can muster. When he's gone, you visibly deflate, glaring at your croissant.
"Don't look at the pastry that way," Kipps says. "It hasn't done anything to warrant that."
"Oh, shut up."
--
Back at 35 Portland Row, the house is quiet. As far as you know, George is at the Archives researching for the next case you have coming up in a day or two, and Lucy is out getting supplies from Satchel's along with general shopping. You half wish you had gone with her rather than going to see Kipps.
During the rest of your time alone, you get some cleaning done. You've been putting it off for a while, but the washing-up basket is so full of dirty clothes that there is a mound as tall as your hips beside it. At this point, it's unavoidable.
You're halfway through folding the first load of washing when the front door opens.
"Be careful!" you call from the bottom of the basement stairs, hoping whoever it is will hear you. "I mopped the floor, it's slippy!"
For a few minutes, no one comes down to see what you're up to but, finally, you hear footsteps on the stairs.
"I boiled the kettle not long ago, it should still be warm if you want a cup of tea."
"Thank you, but I just had some."
You freeze for a moment before continuing your folding. Without turning around, you ask, "How was your date with Talia? She seems nice."
Lockwood pulls his chair out from under his desk. The sound is screechy, to say the least. "It was good. She's an agent at Rotwell, you know?"
"Mm."
"How was yours with Kipps?"
The disgust in his voice is palpable, but it doesn't even begin to compare to yours.
"It wasn't a date. Kipps is just my friend."
You can feel the look he's giving you - the disbelief is thick in the air. "Is he really just a friend?"
"Well, Kipps is six years older than me and an adult so, yes, he is just a friend because it would be illegal otherwise." The shirt you're folding probably doesn't deserve the amount of aggression you're handling it with. "It also wasn't a date for the reason that Kipps is my cousin. Now that I think about it, that's illegal, too."
Silence. It makes you feel a little triumphant, to be honest. It isn't often Lockwood is stunned into silence. He's always got something to say.
"Kipps... is your cousin?"
"Yes, he is. My mum is his aunt. Do I need to explain how that works for you?"
"No. No, that's alright. I just didn't know."
You shrug. "Never asked. Not like we were always super close. We've only really started catching up since I joined you guys because I'm in London now and he's my only family here. Not that that sentiment seems to be appreciated."
"If I'd known, I would've -"
"You would've done what, Lockwood?"
Finally, you turn to look at him, practically throwing down the jumper you're folding. He's already watching you, that smile of his nowhere to be seen. If you didn't know any better, you'd think that's guilt in his eyes.
"Would you have stopped avoiding me? Because Lucy seems to think that started when I reconnected with Kipps. I don't - Even if he wasn't my cousin, it makes me ill thinking that you might've thought we had a thing. Ugh, I can't even say it without wanting to be sick. Is that what all of this avoiding-me business was about? Be honest."
His lack of an answer is enough. Usually so full of things to say, it's a shock seeing him this quiet. You wait for him to say something, anything, but nothing ever comes. He just sits there, staring, supposedly figuring out what he should say.
You turn away from him again, folding the last item of clothing. "Your pile is that one on the end. Second load of washing will be done in an hour. I'm going out."
"Going out? Where?"
"I don't see how that's any of your business. I am just an employee after all."
"I didn't mean it like that -"
"Well, that's how it sounded. Jealousy doesn't suit you, you know." You pluck a jumper from your pile, tugging it on. "I'll be back before dinner. George is in charge of food tonight."
"(name), you don't need to go out. Let me just explain a few things."
"I have a great idea! Why don't you explain those things to Talia? I'm sure she'd love to hear it."
--
"I think I was a bit harsh."
"Oh, I don't think you were harsh enough."
Snorting, you stare out at the park. The bench you're sitting on right now, accompanied once more by Kipps, is soaked from the rain, but your jacket is long enough to save your jeans from getting soaked. The rest of the park isn't in much better of a state; there are massive puddles lining the paths, and the trees are sagging from the weight of the rain.
You pull your hood further over your head. "Tell me why you wanted to sit out in a park while it's chucking it down? I would've much rather had to sit in the same room as Ned Shaw than be out in this. My hands are freezing."
"You're the bait."
"The bait? What for?"
"Ah, there he is. My plan worked perfectly."
"Kipps, what are you -?" Turning your gaze down the path to the right, you realise. "No, Kipps, you're not going to bother Lockwood. I can handle myself."
"He needs to get a grip. He acted like a ten-year-old by avoiding you instead of talking to you, and it upset you. This just gives me the perfect excuse I've needed to give him a bollocking."
As he stands, you make to grab his sleeve. "Kipps, no."
But he's already sauntering up to Lockwood. The two meet halfway, drenched in rain. Lockwood's cheeks are flushed from the chill, and, though Kipps is the one speaking to him, he's looking at you.
"Kipps, stop it," you grumble, hurrying over. "I don't need you to mother me. It'll make things worse."
"I for one would like to hear what he has to say," Lockwood says. The challenging tone he always takes on with Kipps really should've been there, but it isn't. It's more of a guilty statement than anything else.
"You're acting like a kid, Tony," Kipps says angrily. "Do it with anyone else, but not with (name), not when they don't deserve it. I've been warning them not to fall for your tricks, but they've been insistent. He's a good guy. He's just going through a lot at the moment. Bullshit. Buck up your shit, or get out of their life."
"Kipps," you hiss. "Just shut up."
"No, I won't shut up, because he's hurting you. I won't stand for that."
"Just stop it! I'll handle this myself. I don't need you to do it for me."
"We all know that you weren't interested in that girl," Kipps says, glaring at Lockwood. If looks could kill, he'd be dead five times over. "You did it to be petty because, what, you were jealous that (name) was spending their time with someone other than you? Grow up."
"Kipps -"
"I'm going to leave now." His voice has grown quieter, even sterner, taking on the tone of someone using his age as leverage. "You two are going to talk this out. But if I find out that you've hurt them again, Tony, we're going to have major problems."
For a moment, he doesn't move, but then he squeezes your shoulder and leaves. You watch his figure disappear out of the park, blurred by the rain, before turning back to Lockwood.
His hair is plastered to his forehead and he's breathing a little heavier than usual. "(name) -"
"Kipps basically said everything that needed to be said," you say, pursing your lips. "I might've done it a little more gently."
A little laugh parts his lips. "He's right, you know."
"Oh, yeah, I absolutely do know. And it makes you a prick."
"It does." He looks down at his feet, guilt clouding his eyes. "I just - I was upset, and I know that gives me no right to have done what I did, but I felt - I don't know. Pushed aside? So I avoided you because it hurt a little less not having to see you all the time and wonder if you were thinking of someone else. Now I know how entirely wrong I was."
You stuff your hands into your pockets, desperate for warmth. "I was worried I'd done something to make you hate me. Lucy had tried to tell me that my hanging out with Kipps was a possibility, but I just didn't think it seemed like a logical reason. That's why I started spending more time with him - you avoiding me made me feel alone, and, yeah, I've got Lucy and George, too, but it felt nice to have someone shake some sense into me."
"I'm sorry, (name). Truly. If I'd known, things would've gone so much differently. I was more than a prick."
"You were." You laugh softly, and the sound has Lockwood's eyes back on you. "Lockwood, you mean the world to me. I thought you realised that."
There it is: that little mischievous glimmer in his eyes. The corners of his lips twitch. "Well, since I obviously didn't, maybe you could show me?"
"Are you sure you don't want Talia to show you? She did seem lovely after all."
He rolls his eyes, taking a step closer. He's near enough that you can feel the warmth of his breath. "Are you jealous?"
"Well, I wasn't the original jealous one, but, yes, I suppose I am."
When his hand touches your arm, you can feel its heat even through your jacket. You wonder if he can feel your heartbeat. It's never gone so fast before.
"So, about showing me that I mean the world to you?"
"You are insufferable."
It doesn't stop you from pulling your hands from your pockets and pulling his lips to yours. He may be insufferable and frustrating, among other things, but you wouldn't have him any other way. So long as he's yours.

Hi, it's me again the one who came back to the fandom recently and has a lot of feelings
I have a specific AU in my head that dosn't go away
Context: are you familiar with the prototype series? Alex Mercer and stuff? Alex is the virus who thinks of himself as the doctor Mercer in the start (sorry for the shit paragraph)
AU: Desmond is now an Eden Piece (some Isu bullshit happened and now he is a Eden Piece ) and because the piece consumes Desmond's memories (or leak of them) they think now they're Desmond Miles (who is dead) and try to live his life as Desmond.
So because of Animus bullshit, Desmond doesn't have many things left but he knows Shaun and Rebecca, then he will hunt these two down because he wants to stay with them, he feels lonely and doesn't understand the world very well (maybe deeply he knows he is not the true Desmond, but he can play pretend for a while because the company)
Shaun and Rebecca accept "Desmond"with tears in eyes, hugs and promises of all being together now. Everyone is happy until "Clay" shows up
That Clay is not exactly their Clay, but they're also as "Desmond" an Eden Piece. EP!Clay actually knows more than EP!Desmond and try to alert them about the Isus, because Eden Pieces are used to control the humans and serve the Isu and EP!Desmond just runway
While this happens, the two humans (Shaun and Rebecca) are trying to calm Layla down, but the girl just makes the canon choices and she dies (sorry Layla, I like you, you looks funny but you need to die girl for the sake of this shit, you need to die) but this time everything is worse because Eden Pieces
The truth comes to the light and the humans still decide to keep EP!Desmond and EP!Clay as friends... Until...
...after all this stupid shit show Layla comes back as Eden Piece... Honestly, Shaun and Rebecca should just retire at this point, go to some cottage live in the rural zone at the United Kingdom and leave all those freeks there... eat some warm soup, drink tea, feed the goose and sheep. Just ... They don't want to work with the possibility of finding an EP!Lucy someday, just give up and live a calm and rural life with zero technology (Shaun and Rebecca I like you guys, pls don't hate me, I feel really sorry for it but all your friends are now replacement for some alien version of them...)
I am quite familiar with the Prototype series XD
This is quite interesting and it reminds me of the movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Let’s mess things up a bit. Instead of basing it on Alex Mercer, let’s based this on Elizabeth Greene’s version of the virus.
Desmond is our ‘red herring’. The supposed Alex Mercer type in the story.
But the truth is he’s just the first of the ‘children’ being reborn as one that is both human and a Piece of Eden.
A device that had a connection to both the Grey and whatever Piece of Eden was used to create the Animus. That connection is what made that device be able to copy and recreate the data into a state the being was in before its death.
Becoming a Piece of Eden in the process is more of a… necessary ‘sacrifice’ to keep the production going without losing all resources.
Now, this does beg the question who our actual Elizabeth is. The ‘patient zero’.
Desmond Miles.
To be more exact, EP!Desmond is a failure because he was not able to be set in the same state as he was when he died which wasn’t when he was Desmond Miles but when he was the Reader.
This program was meant to return the Reader to a corporeal body to fix the world after he learned how to fix it.
That’s why Clay was the next one to be ‘reborn’. The device assumed that Clay would be capable of remembering the plan that the Reader made but that… went sideways because it’s not Clay’s memories. Clay does have the plan in his head but it’s jumbled together with the rest of the information (mindscrew) that Juno gave him before his first death.
Layla was the device’s Hail Mary. To be more exact, the device waited for Layla to die (it had no hand on her death, that’s an entire different thing that was half-orchestrated by Loki and his mistress and half-‘shit went down because we were too busy to actually support Layla’) because the next one to be reborn isn’t the Layla who died BUT the Layla who joined the Reader in trying to figure out how to save the world.
And unfortunately for the device, this Layla also suffered from those missing memories.
Because both the Reader and the Heir aren’t exactly human by the time they were to be reborn.
And now…
The device needs to figure out which one could (1) hold the Reader’s memories of the plan and (2) still be human.
The device’s next child?
The easy way out is that it’s one of Desmond’s ancestors with Altaïr being the easiest choice because his time with the Apple would make the transition to being a Piece of Eden easier.
The hard “let’s fuck with Desmond” choice?
Subject 4: Daniel Cross.

I’m very intrigued by Arcane Archer… do you have any HC?
OKAY RIGHT ARCANE ARCHER HEAD CANONS
- they've known each other since middle school and Oisin has definitely had a small crush on Ivy since then but never said anything about it
- Ivy clocked it in their freshmen year and decided to not say anything until she realised she had a bit of a crush on him too
- they've always been the two bitchy best friends but are both very good at pretending to be nice
- they've been together since before the rage stars but kept it secret because they didn't want Jace or Porter knowing incase they broke them up due to the relationship being a "distraction"
- they flirt by playfully bullying eachother
- they are constantly flirting with eachother but the rest of TRGs just ignore it and assume they're just teasing eachother in a friendly way
- post being rage star-ed their relationship became mutually toxic because of the rage pumping through their veins and the grief of losing Lucy
- Ivy got very jealous when kipperlilly suggested that Oisin pretend to be into Adaine to get her guard down
- Oisin noticed this and decided to agree to the plan (just to be a bitch)
- so when the party came around Ivy decided to go a little rogue and flirt with Fabian (despite that not being in the plan and that making her look worse to TBK)
- eventually Oisin apologised because he got far more jealous over Ivy and Fabian than he'd like to admit
- post rage stars they both kept to themselves, the only person they talk to besides eachother is Ruben and that's only because they don't know how else to help him with the memory loss stuff
- they both breakdown and apologise to eachother for how they treated each other while under the affect of the rage
I also have a pin board for the ship if anyone is interested in seeing it lolz

The Craft and The Lost Boys crossover prompt! This was inspired by a dream I had. Pls tag me if you’re inspired by any of the ideas below and I’d love to read it! ❤️🩸
You fall in with a group of witches after you witness Nancy Downs murder your brother, Chris. She threatens you to keep quiet about it or else. The witches don’t welcome you into their coven but you learn the hard way that there are worse fates than death when you’re still forced to hang out with them. They can’t risk you exposing their secrets but if they killed you, especially so soon after your brother’s death, it’d look too suspicious. The only witch you like and get along with is Sarah Bailey; she’s different from the other outcasts at school. She’s a natural born witch and is much more powerful than the others but maybe hasn’t realized it yet. Nancy is power-hungry, lacks empathy and often engages in reckless behavior that endangers herself and others, Bonnie is aggressively narcissistic, and Rochelle is bitter and vengeful. The three of them start abusing their powers and misusing their magic. Unlike them, Sarah is really sweet and has a lot of self-control over her powers. She treats you like a friend and has your back despite the circumstances.
You’re dragged into joining them on a girls trip to Santa Carla - the murder capital of the world! By the time you get there, it’s night and the boardwalk is crowded and bustling with many attractions such as tattooers, piercers, shops, rides, music, and more. Performing on center stage is The Lost Boys, one of the hottest rock bands in the country, fronted by Michael Emerson. He and his band members are local heartthrobs; They’re all devilishly handsome and talented young men who seem to have it all. Their stage presence is incredibly sexy and alluring, almost provocative with how they love to strip and tease during their sets. The way they dance and move to their frenetic music is almost hypnotic. Word on the street is that Michael replaced the former vocalist shortly after he moved here with his mother Lucy and little brother Sam. He’s always seen hanging out with The Lost Boys after dark, especially David.
You have such a huge crush on Michael at first sight but who doesn’t? While watching him perform, you feel as if his eyes are piercing straight through your soul and he’s singing only to you. But c’mon, who are you kidding? The thought that he’d notice you out of the hundreds in the crowd is pure fantasy. But maybe that fantasy has a chance of becoming reality when you slip away from Nancy and her fellow witches (possibly in part thanks to Sarah causing a distraction and/or covering for you). You catch the attention of boardwalk security guards and try to explain you witnessed your brother’s murder and need help, but there’s been so many murders in Santa Carla they’ve become desensitized to it. It’s the murder capital of the world, kid. Have you not seen the missing posters littered everywhere? When you mention witchcraft, they laugh in your face and assume you’re on drugs and making shit up. They ignore you and walk away before you can even tell them the murder didn’t take place in this city. God fucking dammit.
Michael overhears your plight and is willing to help you get back at Nancy for what she did to your brother. While talking to him, you keep nervously glancing over your shoulder as hairs raise on the back of your neck from the feeling that the witches may be waiting nearby and closing in on you. Michael notices how scared and uneasy you are, so he offers to take you somewhere private where you won’t be disturbed. You know you shouldn’t hitch a motorcycle ride with a man you just met and let him take you to an unknown location in an unfamiliar city that’s the murder capital of the world, Stranger Danger and all that, but fuck it.
You meet David, Paul, Dwayne, and Marko at their cave. They’re practically Michael’s brothers and welcome you to the club (even if they pull pranks on you and mess with your mind a little bit with their vampire powers before Michael tells them to knock it off.) They urge you to spill and tell them all the deets about what’s going on, so you tell them everything about the absolute hell you’ve been through because of Nancy and her outcast witch friends. After listening to your story and deliberating quietly amongst themselves, they agree to take care of the witches for you so they never bother you again. Do you want them dead or alive, babe? Do you want them to be scared to death or just plain scared so that they leave town forever? You tell them to spare Sarah since she’s your friend and respects the laws of magic. While she put that love spell on Chris that went awry and inadvertently played a part in his death, it was an accident on her part and she didn’t mean any harm. She just wanted to be loved. She regretted her actions and tried to find a way to undo her spell on Chris, but failed. But the rest of the witches are fair game for the boys to do whatever they want.
Hell fucking yeah, this calls for a toast! They pass you an ornate wine bottle and tell you to drink up, baby! It’s been a very long night for you. Hell, you’ve had several very long nights ever since your brother’s murder. You haven’t really had time to mourn him before now. You could really use a drink, so you chug from the bottle without even thinking about it while the boys applaud and cheer. Unbeknownst to you Michael and the Lost Boys are vampires, and you’re Michael’s mate. Vampires are immune to witches’ magic since their hearts are no longer beating and thus can’t be swayed - but witches are not immune to vampire mind tricks since they’re still technically human, living and breathing. Their flesh tears from their bodies just as easily as ordinary humans, and there’s no protection or warding spells against vampires - so feeding from them should be easy. They’ll come up with an insidious plan and help you get retribution for Chris’ wrongful death.
You might regret letting the boys do whatever they want to Nancy and her friends after you learn the full extent of their true nature, but it’s too late to take it back now. The deal has already been struck. In just a few days, you won’t be human anymore either. Michael will be there for you when you begin to change into a half vampire. It’s painful and confusing; your heart feels like it’s on fire, your lungs feel like they’re filled with water, you feel like you’re dying - because you are. He’ll comfort you (possibly with sex) and teach you everything. David, Paul, Marko, and Dwayne will help you too. Maybe Nancy or one of her witch friends will be your first meal. You’ll need to feed to complete the transformation and become a full-blooded vampire. Have you ever had witches’ blood, baby? It’s a rare delicacy but is absolutely delectable. It just hits different than regular human blood. It’s to die for, literally!
