one of elis & john’s strengths I think is expertly weaving the british deadpan absurdism type of comedy with the american improv spirit of “yes and”

You know what ? I'll never complain directly about not understanding TazerCraft and them not putting captions because Étoiles does the same : no captions, speaks fast and in a very informal/dialect way that makes it hard to understand for people who are learning french.

okokok let's start with Andy. He gained consciousness when this mall ad for some small town mall was made. And they just kinda exist? In these ads? Eventually, it grew to not just mall ads but other ads as well. It can't talk due to the fact it originally had no speaking role, so they try to keep to the background. While these ads were airing, this was easy, as they could see the other people in the ad in the space they exist in. When those ads stopped airing, the people disappeared, leaving only Andy. In most recordings of the ads, the people are in the ad, Andy just can't see them. I think there are some recordings that show the lack of people. Just cause that would be cool. Think of this like a sort of separate plane Andy exists on. He can walk around freely in replica areas the ads are based on. When and ad is played based on the area he's currently in, he can hear the ad, and act accordingly. He lost his ability to see the other people in the ad when the ads stopped playing on regular television. This makes his life harder, and also a lot more lonely. I have a plot idea of where someone notices Andy in the background of these ads and becomes so obsessed they die. Conspiracy!

While Andy is my baby, I do have some other OCs. Anya and Celeste are my fave lesbian ocs. They are supervillains, but in a more doofenshmirtz team rocket, not a threat more comic relief kind of way. While appearing stoic and proper on the surface, they are actually very silly and I love them. Anya has the power to control water and Celeste can sink into shadows.

We also have Bob, who is an office worker. He's also a spider guy cause he lives in a world where that's normal, but other than that he's Just A Dude.

I love that all of the dungeon meshi crew are complicated and have difficult to love components.#But Izutsumi is a particular kind of hard to love. I foresee a lot of people being turned off by her abrasiveness and lack of teamwork.#She is very self-centered and openly goes against what the party agrees on.#She's a picky eater in a story that is 50% about eating good and healthy food!#It is in part about her growth but admittedly even *then* she remains rather true to her self-centeredness.#Even though she isn't as nice or funny or compassionate as the others...Izutsumi is still someone worth loving.#Even the more difficult people are someone worth loving.#And those people in turn are people who have something and someone they love.#She may be a girlcat but she is the most human of them all.#I hope that if you are an anime only watcher and are feeling put off by her at the moment; you'll give her a chance.#By the way: *yes* I worked very hard to draw that skateboard pose. It was worth it.#EDIT: HAPPY 500th POST OF POORLY-DRAW-MDZS!!! What a comic to commemorate the milestone with!

The designs fast drew my mind into marching bands so I went for this idea first ahah! At some point I watched a ton of marching band videos, they cheered me up with the exciting and very complex perfomances and the players enthusiam was so catchy!! Also watching the 1st person POVs of i.e. the trumpet and drum players are super fun ahaha! Combined with the striking costumes all this directly reminded me of submas, and now it’s a thing!!!
