The beautiful thing about writing about not only your own D&D characters, but your friends’, is that it can literally force you to learn and understand where your friends come from when they make the decisions that they make.

You, as a writer, don’t actually decide the actions of their characters. They are not a piece of your soul like your own OCs are, but they are a piece of your friends’ very being. You are holding a small part of your friends’ in your hand and you are guiding their characters in a way that forces you to understand your friends on a deeper level.

All that to say, I can’t believe I’m writing about an old man from the fey wilds committing war crimes against two adults children because he’s the last of his kind and he’s mad at one of the adults for making a pact with Zariel.

one of elis & john’s strengths I think is expertly weaving the british deadpan absurdism type of comedy with the american improv spirit of “yes and”

You know what ? I'll never complain directly about not understanding TazerCraft and them not putting captions because Étoiles does the same : no captions, speaks fast and in a very informal/dialect way that makes it hard to understand for people who are learning french.

#dungeon meshi #izutsumi #marcille donato #chilchuk tims #I still stand by my tags on the Izutsumi character study piece I did in January - but I will repeat myself on a few lines here:#I *really* love this character. I love that all of the dungeon meshi crew are complicated and have difficult to love components.#But Izutsumi is a particular kind of hard to love. I foresee a lot of people being turned off by her abrasiveness and lack of teamwork.#She is very self-centered and openly goes against what the party agrees on.#She's a picky eater in a story that is 50% about eating good and healthy food!#It is in part about her growth but admittedly even *then* she remains rather true to her self-centeredness.#Even though she isn't as nice or funny or compassionate as the others...Izutsumi is still someone worth loving.#Even the more difficult people are someone worth loving.#And those people in turn are people who have something and someone they love.#She may be a girlcat but she is the most human of them all.#I hope that if you are an anime only watcher and are feeling put off by her at the moment; you'll give her a chance.#By the way: *yes* I worked very hard to draw that skateboard pose. It was worth it.#EDIT: HAPPY 500th POST OF POORLY-DRAW-MDZS!!! What a comic to commemorate the milestone with!

1. I was thinking about an aroace Sonic who says things that can be taken as wildly flirty/romantic but he just means them genuinely. “You have beautiful eyes, I keep getting distracted while looking at them,” not cause he’s interested romantically in them but because eyes can be really cool and pretty man I dunno what to tell you he likes looking at cool things and he thinks his friends are neat. “You’re the most beautiful person here,” because he really thinks that, he loves his friends

2. Sonic randomly dropping heartfelt genuine comments on his friends out of the blue completely blindsiding them and then moves on like nothing happened while they’re left going ?????? Bonus points if he does something immensely stupid or jerkish just before or immediately afterwards and they can’t tell if he was serious or not with the compliment (yes he was)

3. Sonic usually being so allergic to truly vulnerable moments that when he expresses something heartfelt randomly Tails thinks he’s been stabbed or something and does not believe him when he reassures him that he’s fine he’s fine he’s not dying yeesh
