You know what, I think Kazan, Rai Mei, Ritsu, and Hikari are just a bit obsessed with fire safety and avoiding fire in the Persoma au.

There’s reasonable fixation on that given history.

First thing that Hikari did in the apartment was check all the fire exits and all the sprinklers and where the fire extinguishers were. He refuses to go near open flame events.

Kazan does a quick check of all the buildings if they’re up to date with fire regulations and he probably also bugged Crick and Temenos to get another fire extinguisher for the apartment.

Ritsu goes and cooks most food either microwaved or cold. And every time he uses the stove there’s the underlying fear that he forgot to turn it off at all times.

Rai Mei makes sure the sprinklers work. She makes sure that the sprinklers always work and that the fire exit doors are never blocked. Because fire spreads fast and people need to get out fast.

Also 100% Hikari and Rai Mei’s palaces probably had some characteristics of fire extinguishers and sprinklers and such everywhere.

THEY HAVE SO MUCH ANXIETY. It lingers and never leaves. They would do all of these. They plaster fire escape routes on their walls just in case they're so panicked that they forget despite knowing all of this. Hikari thought he knew the fire escape routes before. He thought he knew how to handle it before but it was something he didn't think would happen.

Ritsu absolutely avoiding using the stove at all times and he sacrifices his health by refusing to cook a lot of his meals. Not that he was the healthiest person to begin with and didn't get takeout when he could.

Temenos would probably notice Kazan's anxiety as this being a rare case of him showing it and it's obvious. The small things show for all of them. If they ever are in a place together and casually ask each other where the fire exit is nobody would bat an eye. And they may be terrified of airplanes/places like airplanes.

I understand that tall men are our POV characters, but surely being like a foot taller than everyone around them would have some occasional consequences
