Still thinking about the fact that in this new Nosferatu we learn that Ellen comes from an incredibly wealthy home while Thomas comes from nothing (and is probably an orphan).
Like, her childhood bedroom was bigger than the apartment they now share, and Thomas (even if he so much advances in his career as a real estate agent in the 1830s) could never offer her the same kind of financial stability or future she would have found in her own social circle, but all of that does simply not matter to her.
