The waves are my fave. I like the lil Caesar cut he’s had, and the salt and pepper glory it exposes. But…his waves will always be my fave. Lmaoo, I even wrote an open letter to Scandal’s hair stylist (🤣😅😐) when they were cutting Tony’s hair too short for Fitz in S3. Well, it was back on point in S4. Sheer dreamboat perfection in S5 😍🥰🥰.

I think I was a bit harsh in this post, I really love and cherish Richard, but I absolutely lost it at the combination of the emo hair and the Waldo shirt, that was too much for my poor heart (and eyes) 👀

My personal 5 hottest Richard moments, well. I instantly had some in mind, mostly general things he does, which either drive me absolutely insane or make me melt instantly. No particular order:

Talking passionately about the things he loves. I'm a very enthusiastic person myself and I love seeing someone being passionate about topics as well, really working themselves into it and just geeking about it. I don't know, I just find enthusiasm and intelligence rather sexy:

His growling during the live versions of Du riechst so gut and Asche zu Asche. To quote myself, it absolutely makes my whole body combust into flames, it's just incredibly hot to me, here's an example from this year:

Certain movements in stage: Mostly the Leg™ and the chest punch™, it's so mesmerising to look at:

And now to something very specific: I absolutely love his solo in the live versions of Links 234. It's so, so hot to me, how he slowly works his way into it and it just sounds immensly powerful. Plus he looks absolutely intimidating (read: f- hot) while playing. As an example, my favourite version is the Velodrom gig in Berlin (2001).

Honourable mention Nr. 1, since @gloomy-blonde reminded me of it yesterday: His damn movements during Keine Lust in Rammstein in Paris. I mean what is this? Why do I find this hot? Questions to ponder while watching this endlessly:

8. Favorite plane used in the movie?

F-14 Tomcat and it’s not even close tbh. Unfortunately, I never grew emotionally attached to the F/A-18 or F-16 and the F-14 just had such a unique character in so many different ways. And I’ve been learning so much quirky facts about it that make it so endearing.

18. Scene that makes you emotional?

Iceman’s death. Need I say more? Yes? Well, I get emotional for a more complex reason because iceman was such a strong character and I love him so much that I just feel like I wish we got more. I wish we got to see him in action just a little bit more. Maybe a scene with him and Mav hanging out BEFORE we find out he’s sick again? Like what if he knew he was sick again but didn’t tell anyone and was still doing his duties as COMPACFLT maybe having to pull some strings and shit. And then later we get the actual scene where Mav goes and visits his house. It’d make the whole passing thing a lot more heavy if we reestablished their bond more than just some references and texts.

36. Who's the better pilot?

Tom “Iceman” Kazansky cause that’s the way he flies. Ice cold, no mistakes, can’t get any better than that. If you follow the textbooks and know the limitations of the plane you can fly beautifully AND bring the plane home without damage or getting in trouble. If you need to break rules to win, that might say something about your own abilities.

40. Favorite maneuver used in the movie?

Love that Kvochur Bell move from the Su-57. I’m a sucker for fifth-gen fighters 🫣

Maverick shooting between the two daggers was gorgeous ngl, loved that even though it was definitely reckless.

Also, whole rotating wheel thing from the bogeys in the 1986 mission was super satisfying. They are all spinning in a spiral type move that I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me but if you watch the scene you’ll see what I’m talking about.

As much as I would love to see Sincaraz win the Calendar Slam I just NEED Casper finally winning one. And he was in the US open Final once and he can do it again and this time win.

16: two players who should play doubles together at least once?

That's actually a tough one but I just enjoyed watching Daniil and Jannik playing doubles in Halle so much that I am sure them together would be a blast.

21: 3 sets match or 5 sets match?

I love watching five sets for the drama but a three sets match is better for my nerves and also I sadly have a full time job, my own flat, and other responsibilities so time wise three sets are just easier to catch up on

hi <3 was curious what you thought about ayitl as a whole? do you count it as canon or not?

i think it’s hard to ignore ayitl if you’ve watched it (at least for me). anytime i’m rewatching gg, my whole thought is yup this harvard loving baby is gonna need money for underwear soon enough. it feels veryyyy au/shitty fanfic like though, which is why i get why most people hate it. the whole boyfriend thing with rory DROVE ME UP THS FUCKING WALL. that’s just not her imo. as well as just her in general. and paris a divorcée who thinks she’s in love w tristan???? are you kidding me??? don’t even get me started on lane (or their horrendous outfits).

the only storyline i remotely enjoyed was lorelai’s hike that resulted in the phone call about richard. i honestly can say i enjoyed that. jess becoming the most successful and lorelai (seemingly) getting over her disgust for him was probably my favorite part (the kiss she blew him saved lives). but besides that? i skip just about all of it anytime i rewatch. the fucking musical makes me want to join richard.

4. favorite thing to draw

Plus-sized and fat bodies, absolutely. I've also been having a TON of fun with all the different shapes hollow knight buggies take, but my one love will always be my bigger bodies. I started off drawing them to put art in the world that I never got to see for myself, and that still holds true. Fat rolls, cellulite, stretch marks, body hair, all of them are divine and beloved to me.

5. least favorite thing to draw

FEET. FEET. FEET. I HATE FEET HOW DO THEY WORK. WHY CANT EVERYONE JUST HAVE CUTE LITTLE PAWS OR HOOVES. OR BUG CLAWS. I THINK WE SHOULD ABOLISH FEET. I THINK THE HUMAN RACE CAN DO BETTER. ABOLISH FEET 2023.

6. warm colors or cold colors

Warm, absolutely. An old semi-critique a friend gave me is I always adjust my palettes to be warmer, and you know what? Yeah I do. My favorite colors are orange, yellow, pink, and a warm teal, so I tend to skew towards them when I can. I don't think there's enough orange or yellow in the world.

8. what's the most fun and the least fun parts about your process (TITTIES BELOW)

The most fun is probably the lineart stages when I'm doing intricate lineart. I haven't done any recently for HK stuff, but I used to be The Lineart Guy haha. These are both from 2020, but doing the lines for the hair and all the little intricate details was very soothing to me. I once did a nine hour stream where i almost exclusively lined a character's hair.

I've also really come to like the blocking in and 'sketching' portions of painting too.

My least favorite part is coloring. Which is odd because it tends to be the part I get compliments about the most? But it takes me the longest and I Do Not Like It.

10. how many different sketches do you usually have until your piece is finished

This depends! I usually do rough sketch/thumbnail -> clean sketch -> lineart -> color, if it follows that area. Otherwise for paintings I end up sketching and then build up off the sketch on the same layer. Usually only 1-2, sometimes 3-4 if I can't get a concept down.

3. How does their social personality differ from how they act when they’re alone?

Vox is someone who easily comes off as aggressive, maybe even kind cold at first. It's the veneer she's worn since she was a child, and her way of protecting herself from others.

But she cares so much. About everything. She cries a lot when not around others, especially after working particularly rough jobs. She's also a huge sucker for romance, which she would never admit to anyone, and the music she listens to when alone reflects that.

14. What attributes do they have that are inherited from their parents or shared with their siblings/other relatives?

Vox doesn't have a lot of memories of her parents, but if you were to ask Vik, she's more like them than she will ever know.

Just like her father, Rom, Vox loves a good scrap; Vik would even say her natural talent for boxing comes from him. She got her mind for netrunning from her mom, though Vox isn't nearly as good as Amp was. Her taste in music comes from both self-proclaimed audiophiles, and Vox still has the boxes upon boxes of tapes and records her parents owned.

do u think there will be any 0 point televote scores this year in the final? the big 5 are a lot stronger this year so i feel like it could possibly be another country/ies like switzerland again if it makes it.. (like the song but when ur up against käärijä and loreen in a televote ?? uh ohhhh)

there might be multiple ??? but not as many as 4 or whatever it was in 2021…

It's possible, but I think it's very unlikely. Since this year semi qualifiers are based on televote only, it means that all countries that make it to the final have enough support to not get zero in the televoting. If Switzerland gets enough points in semi to qualify, they are not going to flop completely in the final.

Czechia 2016, Austria 2017 and Switzerland 2022 got zero televotes in the final, but they had only qualified thanks to juries so they didn't have enough audience support in the first place.

If we do get a shock televote zero this year, it's going to be one of the big 5 countries. My guess would be the United Kingdom because Mae hasn't sounded great in the pre-parties and traditionally BBC has struggled with staging :/ But as you said, big 5 are all stronger this year so I hope and believe we are not going to get any televote zeroes this year <3

23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?

The vast majority of my OCs have changed a lot but I’ll talk about one that I haven’t discussed much here. My Altmer TES OC Volonmir has changed a lot compared to how I originally intended him to be. He was originally meant to be a very stern Thalmor agent, the sort that you see in the embassy in Skyrim. Essentially, an antagonist that had nothing to do with my other OCs and/or other characters other than to be a nuisance. However, I played some ESO and now he’s a high born Altmer that’s been sent to Khenarthi’s Roost to do work there and ended up in a relationship with a khajiit farmer/thief with a senche companion and extremely conflicted world views. A sort of turncoat of nobility, if that makes sense. Before he was Just A Thalmor Asshole but now he’s got some story to him. And a lovely cat girlfriend 👍

44. Something you like about your OCs in general

I LOVE angst. It’s definitely my favourite ‘genre’, you could say, and the vast majority of media I consume has it to some extent. My OCs all have their fair share of angsty lore, to varying degrees. Phulgrax, for example witnessed the downfall and death of many of his family and/or kin. Freyja was an outcast from her family with no true knowledge about her heritage, and after discovering it and finding out that it was bad, chooses to accept her suffering of her own accord. Meldras watches his partner in crime and lover be hanged as a result of his crimes after they took the blame for him. Koltair is just a terrible person, he has no redeeming traits whatsoever.

Although they all have their fair share of happiness and fairly light hearted lore, their stories are plagued with unhappiness and pain.

happy storyteller saturday! how did you go about designing your characters? what elements of their design are your favourite? are there any tiny details about their appearances that seem innocuous but actually have much deeper meaning? :3

I seem to have two main ways of making a character. Option one is that I need someone to show up, describe them as they do and go "huh, so an Indian guy? Okay, why not?" Option two is to ask what would be the coolest/most dramatic/silliest etc choice to make and go from there. It depends a bit on what I'm aiming for in the scene.

Ariel, for example, was named so because I thought it would be funny to give all the men in his family names that are androgynous on a technicality. His dad is Lindsey, cousins are Ashley and Kelley. Things like that. Santo, meanwhile, showed up and I was like "this boy has long hair. I can feel it." Beela has curls because I love curls and my hair refuses.

I don't think anyone has deeper meaning in their appearance or description. I'm not great at symbolism (intentionally, anyway. I think I do it on accident). Nona's long hair is a way for her to feel pretty, so I need her to cut it off as a plot point to show sacrifice.

Ariel has my favorite design. Hands down, no questions asked. I would love to look like him. Transition goals. I love his style (victorian lordling, though he'll be able to tell you which parts are edwardian and which are older/newer and why the neckwear is totally not a cravat) and his tattoos (they're all bright blue and he has two sleeves). A real combination for the ages.

Wysteria's design is closer to my own day-to-day wear. The big skirts and the sweaters and the not matching. I don't have my hair dyed or wear much jewelry, but her clothing choices could come from my closet

Batman gives each of his Robins a different code to use when they’re in trouble and need immediate extraction. He promises that when they call, he’ll drop everything just to get to them, come hell or high water.

Jason, during his time with the League, shares his code with Damian, to be used “only in the direst of circumstances, when you have exhausted all other options.” He doesn’t know if Bruce will answer, given how fractured their relationship was before he died, but it is better than nothing. Every tool counts when they live such dangerous lives.

Damian uses it exactly once, and Bruce, who still feels the loss of his son like a yawning chasm in his chest, responds to it even though he knows it can’t be Jason because Jason’s dead. What he finds, instead of Jason, is a boy in League garbs, drenched in blood from the tips of his midnight-black hair to his too-small feet, with a face that Bruce sees himself and Talia in, requesting asylum from a grandfather who wishes to possess his body. Bruce doesn’t question how this boy who is so clearly his son knew the code. Talia al Ghul is resourceful and places family above all; the code is not beyond her abilities to discover, and she is not above using Bruce’s desperate love for his dead son to ensure that hers does not meet the same fate.

Bruce takes Damian in, because of course he does, and since Jason is dead he allows Damian to keep using the code. After all, it’s not like Jason is alive to use it, right? If someone uses the code, there’s no one it could be but Damian, right?

The next time the code is used, Bruce traces the location to Gotham even though Damian was supposed to be in Bludhaven visiting Dick. But whatever happened that resulted in Damian being in Gotham can wait, because he has already failed one son and he will not fail another, his son is in trouble and he needs to get to him, he needs to—

What he finds, instead of Damian, is a boy (just eighteen, too young, but also too old, but also he will always be a boy to him) in League garbs, drenched in blood from the tips of his midnight-black hair to his too-large feet (when had he gotten so big), wearing the face of his dead son.

(Who, maybe, just maybe, may no longer be so dead.)

Another year, another group of my delightful ninth graders trying to spell the word "tragedy" for their Romeo and Juliet assignment.

"...alright. Just the usual ones? Night time too...and tampons. Don't ever apologise. Alright. We'll be home soon. I love you."

The mid-morning traffic, less frantic now than an hour before, shhhaaaahed around the car. From the passenger seat, Yuuji watched Kento with a fascination about to bubble over with suppressed laughter. Kento put the phone down. Yuuji, just a boy, grinned, almost teasingly at Kento.

"Tampons, huh, Nanamin?"

Kento looked to Yuuji, flicking the windscreen wipers on to rid the screen of drifting cherry blossom. His face remained neutral, sincerely questioning. Yuuji scoffed, bold as brass, before continuing.

"Jeez Nanamin...you're such a simp."

Kento's eyes narrowed, searching for meaning. He repeated, slowly, the word unfamiliar upon his tongue.

"...'simp'."

"You'd do anything for her, right?"

"Is that...a bad thing? You say the word, not that I know it, as if it's derogatory."

Kento tapped on his phone, and Yuuji backpedaled, his grin sliding away to a wide-mouthed grimace as he waved his hands in a fit of no, wait, I can explain. Kento appeared to be reading, his face growing dour. He huffed, one short puff of air from his nose. He tucked his phone away.

"Ah-- Nanamin-- I didn't mean--"

"A simp, hmm? Alright. Come along, Yuuji."

They drove. Yuuji bit his nails as he stared out into traffic. Kento was silent, calm.

And Kento took Yuuji on errands.

At the Conbini, Kento collected pads, tampons, snacks and pain relief.

"Do you have any of the night time ones?" Kento asked the assistant, holding up a pack of pads, unashamed, as Yuuji tried to sink into the floor, just a boy. As the assistant walked away, Kento asked Yuuji, calmly.

"Would a simp do this?"

"Ah...jeez, I...yeah, I guess so."

"Alright."

In the Florist's, Kento was meticulous with the sweating assistant, identifying only the finest blooms of your favourite wildflowers. He commandeered, insisting they were wrapped in brown paper, stamped with wax and tied with ribbons. Tapping his fingers on the counter, bored, Yuuji's reverie was once more broken by Kento's smooth timbre.

"Would a simp do this?"

Kento walked up beside Yuuji, with a spray of sweet botanicals in his arms. Yuuji squirmed beneath the schooling.

"Yeah, I...I reckon so. Probably."

"Splendid. Come along."

At the launderette, collecting your repaired jacket; "Would a simp do this?"

At your parents' house, dropping off a birthday card; "Would a simp do this?"

At Jujutsu High, filing some late paperwork for you; "Would a simp do this?"

In the car, calling Ijichi to cancel drinks the following night; "Would a simp do this?"

By the time Kento had completed his errands, Yuuji sulked, just a boy, begrudging how overboard Kento had gone, all because Yuuji had used slang that meant nothing apart from something Kento couldn't understand.

Yuuji stood back in the hallway, shucking his shoes off, as Kento walked ahead.

Yuuji's eyes darted up, to you, shocked to see that you were...a mess. You could hide the tears all you liked, but your puffy lips and salt-sore cheeks told of a whole day of crying. The dinner Yuuji usually enjoyed wasn't made. The fragrant candles that Yuuji usually enjoyed weren't lit. The curtains were closed.

Yuuji felt vicariously guilty for something he had not done, but he listened to yours and Kento's mumbled conversation.

"...sorry...so shit...haven't done anything...needed you...Yuuji must be hungry, I..."

"...shhh...done nothing wrong...Ijichi cancelled tomorrow anyway...order take-out...come here..."

Kento held you in a rustle of bags and brown-papered flowers. He did not begrudge the tear stains on his lapels. He looked at you as though your very blood ran divine, when you gave the flowers and bag of snacks a watery smile, pressing a salty kiss to Kento's cheeks before walking to the kitchen.

As Kento and Yuuji stood back, watching you swipe your tears away before beginning to fill a vase with Kento's wildflowers, Yuuji dawned upon the cusp of a bold new understanding. Kento felt it, this gentle yearning, and took Yuuji by the hand over the horizon.

Kento's voice was, slow, considered, and gut-wrenchingly sincere.

"Never deny yourself the beauty of loving someone without restraint, for the fear of vulnerability, Yuuji. Never let anyone taint the way love should guide and consume you. Because if loving wholeheartedly is weakness...you shouldn't want to be strong."

Yuuji watched the gentle golden thread of joy that Kento had woven through your sadness. He shuffled, his hands in his pockets, his peachy head tilted down as he kicked at his shoes.

"...yeah, I get you. I'll... I'll be a simp too, then. When I find the one. And...and I'll be proud of it."

Kento smiled, pressing a bag of snacks to Yuuji's chest.

"And I'll be proud of you."
