the only reason the wig is there it's cause they consider the afro textured hair a fashion element just like clothes ,bags and shoes . it is what it is

many black models , facing this tremendous amount of concern and apprehension about it... ( wearing wigs or box braids bc hairstylists dont do black hair at fashion shows )

it's fucking 2024 , you got countless black models out there willing to empower others by proudly showing their natural hair

they finally fixed my account so i can send messages again!! throughout tonight and tomorrow i will be back to sending numbers from this account <3 i am running super behind lol but it should be easy to catch up. i know it's bad form to argue with word of god, but i just- i don't agree with this? did 7x05 not make it clear that, yeah, buck was figuring some stuff out then, but he knew he wanted tommy. and now he's had six months to settle into that - and by all accounts seemed pretty secure as of last episode. even this episode - abby hurdle notwithstanding - he was very clear about what he wanted with tommy. sure, maybe the moving in was a bit of a knee-jerk response to the previous spiral, but he seems very settled with himself and his wants.

from tommy's character's perspective i can understand it. he's probably been burned before. he's protecting himself, and buck, well, both of them really, end up as collateral. i actually think that's an interesting conflict. but to say tommy was accurate in his assessment of buck? the scene very much read to me as tommy being in the wrong here, making a decision for buck. which, again, could've been something really interesting that i'd have liked to see. but, going off all these interviews, this really was it so, i guess not lol.

I dont care about fandom discourse or drama, but invoking the name of a real life trans child who was hatecrimed to death because someone wished violence on a fictional character is shameful behavior. Tommy Kinard is not real. Nex Benedict was. You speak about performative activism, but I think you should take time to consider why you thought that was appropriate to post. You do not have to publish this or respond to this, but as a fellow queer person my heart dropped to my stomach seeing that post.

no, tommy kinard is not a real gay man, but the real gay men on this website have to see discussions of killing him with a gun and beating him like a piñata with a baton, among other things, and people agreeing with and adding to it… because he kisses buck.

i brought up nex to remind people the shit they say when speaking about beating tommy to death or shooting him with a gun happens everyday to queer people in real life. my town can’t do a pride festival because every time it’s mentioned a specific group of talk about shooting it up because they hate queers. do you see the correlation?

saying you want to kill a gay man with a gun, and then hiding behind your sexuality when you’re called out for it and claiming it’s a joke is bad. as a fellow queer person, i shouldn’t have to tell you that.

i think about nex everyday. the incident happened a few hours from me and my state reps have offered nothing to protect kids like him and instead insisted we aren’t welcome here. the violence spoken toward tommy kinard for shits and giggles happens everyday to us so forgive me for being blunt and upset.

also, don’t call me performative. i don’t boast about the stuff i do in my everyday life on here because i don’t need validation to make myself feel good.

Speaking of retcons. What fans does Liam have to manipulate? Liam has always been the least popular member of 1D and what fans he did have disappeared when his 2018 album got yanked. You can tell that because his most popular music required GP interest. Plus he can’t sustain a UA and there’s no one defending him on Twitter. Every thing goes viral because there aren’t enough accounts to muddy the algorithms with other tweets. It’s the least believable thing Maya has said. That and her descriptions of his team as powerful. A powerful and manipulative team looks like Harry’s. They’ve been sweeping his indiscretions into a very dark corner for years. One day they’ll come spilling out and he’ll have his Diddy moment. His team will have made their money so they won’t care.
