fic updates!!
hi gang uh. itâs been a while, so hereâs a full list of things that are currently in progress.
please let me know if there are any works that should be prioritized!! I think suck it and see is gonna be first up. no set dates quite yet but,,, that ones short so Iâll probably just drop it unannounced. also most of these are nsfw works. so mdni.
ALSO MY REQUESTS ARE OPEN FOR SMALL THINGS. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND THEM IN!!!
BULLET POINT IDEAS:
if u saw me reblog a post by @sunshinedeekay , youâll definitely have seen some of these ideas in their post. itâs not plagerism, we talked abt these ideas together, and my take on them is veryyyyyy woozi centric cus hes the loml.
TTT - couples retreat
joining jihoon and the rest of the members and their partners in a ttt episode of gose
campfire (woozi centric)
sitting around a campfire with svt because itâs that time of year.
grocery store au (woozi centric)
svt members position working at a grocery store.
manager jihoon having such a soft spot for the students working for him.
bss fucking around and breaking a jar of pickles.
SHORTER WORKS:
suck it and see - bf!jihoon x reader
summary: all jihoon had was a simple meeting. the problem is, he looks a little too good in his button up.
warnings: (recently) established relationship. first time together in any sexual way. oral (m. receiving). woozi in a white button-up with his sleeves rolled up. wonwoo and mingyu are kinda?? idk how to explain it but youâll see. chan has a gf n sheâs just kinda there. possessive (but in a healthy?? way?) jihoon. a little throat fucking. hair pulling.
âY/N,â Jihoon hisses. Y/N whines softly as his grip on their waist tightens. âAngel, I think we should head out.â He says softly, still trying to hold his composure. If there was one thing he wasnât about to do, it was pop a boner in a room full of his friends. Heâd never hear the end of it. But the way Y/N sat so nicely on his lap, with their ass rubbing against his cock every time they movedâ god, it was so hard to keep his hormones in check.
It wasnât like they hadnât talked about sex before. They had, multiple times, when make out sessions got a little too heated and Jihoon was left hard as a rock. The relationship was a little too new for them to ever get farther than feeling each other up. It was a very hard line that Y/N chose to draw in the sand, and Jihoon respected it. Something about tonight was different.
Y/Nâs grip on his forearm tightened, thumb brushing against the fabric that had been rolled up. âAm I making you uncomfortable?â They ask quietly, answer given before itâs even verbalized in the way his thumb circles their hip.
âNo, god, never. But Iâm thinking about things that would get me put on a watch list so that I donât⊠yâknow.â Jihoon presses a soft kiss to the base of their neck. âI just donât want to be like this around the guys.â He laughs, but itâs strained. Just like how the fabric of his pants has started to feel. Y/N shifts again to test the water, and boy, is it tested.
when? - geto!woozi x ex jujutsu sorcerer!reader
summary: itâs been ten years since jihoon was banished from jujutsu tech. itâs been ten years since he slaughtered an entire village at the age of seventeen. itâs been ten years since y/n last saw him.
warmings: angst. hurt/comfort. jujutsu kaisen au. kind of post-breakup au. a little bit of a soulmate au if you squint. mega jujustu kaisen spoilers. woozi as geto. long haired woozi. mentions of massacring a village (if youâre familiar w jjk you know what im talking about). unresolved issues. unrequited love (kinda?). attempted murder kinda. hoshi as gojo. dialogue heavy.
The deep swell of the clouds overhead black out the sky. They swirl, angry, as they weep. A storm is brewing deep within them. The low rumble of thunder shakes the apartment building. Tonight is a night full of pain for the sky.
Itâs equally as painful for Y/N.
The sharp knock on the door this late into the evening disturbs them. Y/N holds the cup of tea they were in the middle of making as they walk towards to door.
Itâs most likely a solicitor, but to be out in this weather? They must be desperate. The knocks sound again; they must be really desperate. âOne second!â Y/N calls, walking the few feet to the door. They swing it open forcefully, pissed off as the knocks echo once again.
Lee Jihoon stands on the other side of it. He looks older now. Out of reflex and shock, Y/N moves to slam the door closed. Jihoon slides a foot into the crack. He winces as it slams into the side of his shoe.
âCan I come in?â Heâs beaten to all hell. Scratches cover parts of Jihoonâs face and arms, the blood flowing out of them mixed with the rain. Heâs soaked, shivering softly with hair stuck to his forehead.
Y/N nearly drops their cup of tea, hand tightening around the door handle. It shakes as they pull it open more. âUm, yeah. I guess.â Jihoon slips inside, feet tracking in water. Heâs considerate enough to slip his shoes off, but his socks are equally as wet.
lunch - seokmin x reader
summary: listening to an album with y/nâs boyfriend unlocks something in him. something almost dangerous for seokmin, and the best possible thing for y/n.
or, seokmin wants to be a better boyfriend. heâs fine as is, but it doesnât hurt to start taking his partner out to lunch and craving a second course once theyâre at home.
no teaser available at the moment butâŠ. u get the idea.
drown - wonwoo x reader
summary: wonwoo wants to help his best friend; he really does. but things are so much harder to understand with a heavy heart of his own. so y/n explains whatâs going on in terms heâll get.
tags: angst, hurt/comfort, best friends to ???. mentions of others drinking (specifically chan. this is not an accurate representation of how i see chan, i love him). brief mentions of reader n chan in a rlly complicated situation ship. stress, feelings of depression, etc. just both of em going through a rlly hard time :((( reader n wonwoo r passing a vape back n forth throughout this.
âWoo,â Y/N exhales, pulling the blanket over their chest, âI donât even know what to say.â They lay their head on his chest, closing their eyes softly. They try to push back the tears, but the pressure is overwhelming.
âItâs okay. Take your time.â Wonwoo coos, wrapping his arm tighter around their shoulders.
âI justâ I feel so stupid for even thinking that I had a chance.â They exhale slowly. âLike, I can never be first place against someone who doesnât even care about him.â The tears they had been holding back for the last ten minutes slowly begin to fall as they open their eyes again.
Immediately, Wonwoo knows what Y/N is talking about. Their over complicated situation-ship had been a heavy topic that hung in the air for most of the last week. Wonwoo knew as soon as he entered the apartment that something was off. When the soft, hesitant knocks bounced off his door into his room, he knew.
He opened his door; to the soft call of his name from a shaking voice, and eyes that seemed to be brimming with tears. His body moved to usher Y/N into his room, to bring them to his bed and tuck them in as they both leaned against the headboard and held each other.
âChanâs on the phone,â Y/N said flatly, face burning red as they struggled to speak.
âI know,â Wonwoo whispered into the air.
âWith her.â They closed their eyes, suddenly hyper aware of their own heart beat.
âI know.â Wonwoo sighed, arm wrapping around their shoulders. He hated this; this look of pity on Y/Nâs face, their eyes so wet from holding it together. The hesitance in their voice; something Wonwoo never heard in it. They were always so confident, so optimistic. It was gone entirely.
FULL LENGTH FICS:
abstract - idol!jihoon x reader
professor lee is a fantastic teacher. above all, he is a knowledgeable old man who is incredibly passionate about his job and his students. he enjoys dancing, bad karaoke, eating lunch with his students, writing with expensive pens, teaching and talking about his family. and he is about to give his last class, not because heâs retiring, but because heâs terminal. he doesnât expect to make it to the end of the semester. y/n loves the philosophy class taught by professor lee. this yearâs class is different. this year, the students enrolled in professor leeâs philosophy classes will learn about life and death, but the most important lesson y/n learned comes in the form of their professors son; jihoon.
current warning list: gn!reader. afab!reader. implied bi!reader. very brief reader x female oc. college stuff (academics, drinking, jihoon smokes cigarettes). mentions of issues with food/not eating. major character death. homophobia, heartbreak, life lessons. philosophy talk. grieving. hella hurt/comfort. this has a happy ending i swear.
The earth seems very far away. Wherever the two of them are right now, home seems so far away. Itâs a very small dot compared to the rest of the vast and dark universe. Whatever is here, it shares the darkness and the emptiness of the vacuum of space. Whether it was a moment of total dissociation, or just shock, nothing seems quite real to Jihoon. The room is no longer spinning, but it feels just as fuzzy. His eyes feel bleary and heavy from crying, which he has also stopped doing. He watches from the front porch as his father is carried into the back of a hearse, Y/N held tightly to his side.
Itâs cold, and the sun has begun to set. The glow of the afternoon is long gone. His mother and cousin are almost nonexistent in this moment. The only thing that really grounds him to the earth is the warmth of Y/Nâs body inside his jacket. Their arms are crossed to keep the heat in. Jihoon tightens his hold on their bare arm.
Itâs beautiful, he recognizes. The clouds are deep shades of purple; itâs an unusual occurrence for this time of year. âItâs just like him,â He thinks, âto pick the most beautiful day to die.â The hearse drives off and no one moves. No one speaks. The wind has even seemed to stop blowing; the earth has gone completely silent.
end of beginning - fbi agent!jihoon x detective!reader
summary: decorated detective Lee Jihoon transfers to the NYPD to catch yet another deranged serial killer. The only difference this time is his set of colleagues, and his unbridled hatred for one of them.
warnings: jun is dead as hell in this fic (he was readers old partner n died in a shootout) I am so sorry for this one seriously oh my god. if itâs any consolation, itâs only talked about n he doesnât die during the fic. GRAPHIC depictions of violence, murder, bodily mutilation, getting shot; generally pls just be aware that this is a fic abt chasing down a serial killer in new york. woozi is such an asshole in the first little bit of this fic but he has his reasons. enemies to lovers. coworkers to lovers. ANGST. smut. fluff.
âYou want me as an equal? Then start doing half the fucking work!â He snapped. God, how easy it would be to draw their gun right now and take him down a peg, Y/N thought. The intrusiveness of the thought made their body run cold.
Sure, Jihoon has always been an asshole, but shooting him? Iâm getting far too invested in this. Y/N thought again, swallowing harshly. They let out a shaky breath, deciding to not say anything to counter him. This profile was hard. It had been two months, with five separate incidents and they had nothing.
âWhat? Nothing? Have I finally gotten you to shut up?â Jihoon sneered, a smirk falling onto his face. Any chance at silencing themselves was gone now.
âI really, really fucking hate your guts Lee. If it wasnât for this fucking case I would happily never see you again. Youâre self-centred and cocky, and frankly, youâve contributed fuck all to this investigation. Weâre two months in, both of us of the two most decorated detectives in North America. We have nothing. Donât you dare fucking lecture me about putting in the work when the stakes are so high.â Y/Nâs hands gripped their hair, pulling it harshly as they paced to the other side of the room. âIâm not about to lose another partner, not again.â It sounded like a sob.
âFeelings mutual.â Jihoon states, pushing open the glass door of the room and leaving. He swallows harshly as he exits, running a hand through his hair in frustration. Heâd gone too far, and for the very first time, his argument with Y/N had left him with a sour taste in his mouth and the all too familiar feeling of guilt in his stomach.
when weâre both thirty - producer!jihoon x reader
summary: after writing a contract while drunk in college that detailed if both parties were still single by the time they were thirty they would get married, jihoon and y/n forget about it. nine years and one divorce later, jihoon finds himself on y/nâs doorstep begging for forgiveness and a place to stay. the only issue is, he realizes his feelings four years too late.
current warnings: so much angst. unrequited love. friends to strangers to ??? to ???? to lovers. four years of silence from jihoon. broken heart syndrome. reader struggling hardcore w depression after the unofficial official breakup. bss bestie shenanigans. hoshi is the mvp here. hoshi calls jihoons ex wife a whore at one point. (more to be determined. this one is still in the beginning stages)
âIâm taking Y/N home.â Soonyoung pats his friend on the shoulder twice. Jihoonâs mouth falls open softly, a look of confusion on his face.
âWhy? Is everything okay?â He canât help but worry, despite his new bride glaring at the concern on his face. âAre they okay?â Soonyoung nods curtly.
âUm, they just donât feel well. Theyâre in my car right now.â It wasnât a complete lie, but the tears they had been holding back all night were getting closer and closer to spilling. The last thing Y/N wanted was to be accused of ruining Jihoonâs wedding by crying.
He was still their best friend after all. Even if being in love with him felt like getting their heart ripped out through their throat, it was still his big day. Even if Seokmin had to calm them down in the bathroom, the family bathroom, and they received strange looks from the group of strangers who saw both of them exit it, it was Jihoonâs day. Y/N wanted nothing more than for this day to be a happy one, to be the last day where they could say they loved him.
But things didnât work out like that.
All it did was twist the knife deeper, puncture holes in their lungs that made it impossible to breathe.
pride and dignity - idol!jihoon x male!soloist!reader
summary: jihoonâs managed to keep his private life out of the media for the last ten years. however, his first ever scandal is a dating scandal; and even worse, one with another man. with the mistake of going out for drinks and getting a little too touchy, jihoon has to navigate all of the speculation on his sexuality, and his growing feelings for the other person caught in the middle of it all.
warnings: m!reader, but i use they/them for reader in this fic bcs itâs easier to distinguish reader from woozi that way. i grew up writing gay fan fiction, i am using they/them for reader out of pure convenience to keep my shit straight. hoshi n lee soohyuk r together. woozi is gay. he likes men in this bad boy. dating scandal. mild homophobia. lots of sex talk. this is really just porn with a lot of plot. plot with a little porn??? idk. this is so angsty my lord. woozi is a TEASE in this oh dear. a little dialogue heavy in some places. soft n tender woozi makes his return!!. reader has a little bit of anxiety. did i mention angst. angst. pledis statements. thatâs a warning in and of itself.
Jihoonâs heart beats wildly in his chest as he stares at his phone. The photos of them that were leaked looked incredibly intimate. Jihoonâs arm is wrapped around Y/Nâs waist, a tender smile on his lips. He looks like heâs in love. He was just drunk.
Still, the soft expression on his face is noted in the headline of the article. Woozi and Y/N Entangled in Gangnam. Jihoon feels sick.
Entangled. That they most certainly were. This is what he was afraid of: his personal life intertwining with his professional career.
The call from his manager comes soon after. Jihoon sinks into his couch as his manager rambles on about how detrimental this scandal could be to his career. Jihoon knows. He knows better than anyone what this could mean for not only him but Y/N.
Y/Nâs in a much worse position; they said it themselves, being gay is a death sentence in the K-Pop industry. Especially when youâre new to it.
âI can confirm that the person in the photos is Y/N. As for the circumstances surrounding the photos, I wonât comment on any rumours or speculation. All I can say is that Y/N and I remain committed to our work and professional relationship moving forward.â Jihoon keeps his words calculated and careful as his manager asks for an official statement. Pledis was taking a new approach with this scandal, and hearing from the source was what they deemed best.
He had no idea how Y/Nâs company would handle it. Jihoon only hoped that they wouldnât be too hard on them.
But he knows.
He knows any way itâs dealt with will hurt Y/Nâs career. Jihoon feels like heâs going to throw up.
statute of limitations - criminal defense lawyer/single dad!seokmin x neighbour!reader
summary: getting a new neighbour is always an experience. getting a hot single dad right across the hall I n even better experience.
tags: jeongcheol canonically. lawyer/roommate!jeonghan, mentions of wack crimes/assault (cus theyâre lawyers). more tags to be added here as well.
âHi.â He smiles, opening the door wide enough for Y/N to step into his apartment. âWhat brings you here at this hour?â His smile is still so bright, despite the fatigue on his face and the hour of the day.
âSorry.â Y/N looks down. âI needed to get way from Jeonghan for a bit. Is it okay if I come in for a bit? I promise I wonât keep you up much longer.â Y/N looks back up at him, smiling softly, eyebrows raised slightly to make their eyes look bigger.
âCourse,â
âI seriously thought about strangling him. He just gets on nerves about certain things and itâs soââ Seokmin laughs.
âIâm not too sure if you should be confessing your violent impulses to a criminal defence lawyer, angel.â He coos, setting the glasses onto coasters on his coffee table. He grabs his glasses from the table, slipping them onto his face before he finally leans back onto the couch. Thereâs very little space between the two of them.
how do you talk to a star? - PREQUEL TO HOW TO KILL THE SUN
summary and tags are a work in progress so here is a little teaser.
Ah, yes. The origins of the nickname angel.
Jihoon was babysitting once again as the rest of his friends drank. The booth in the bar was crammed full of people, most of them eating half as much as they drank. It was one of the rare times he had agreed to go out without being forced; this making it a cause for celebration.
âYouâll babysit me, right?â Soonyoung asked, an hour earlier when he wasnât drunk. Jihoon huffed, nodding reluctantly. He rolled his eyes, not exactly happy to spend his Friday night watching Soonyoung cry in another alcohol induced breakdown.
A gentle pat to his thigh pulls him out of his dissociation. âYou okay?â Y/N asks, nursing another glass of god knows what. He looks up from the table to them. He hums softly.
âMm, yeah. Just spaced out a bit.â He laughs quietly, thought it sounds a little forced.
âYou sure? Youâve been spacing out a lot recently.â Y/N rests their hand on his thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze. Jihoonâs heart swells a little at the action. Most people leave him to his own devices in situations like this. They let him deal with the overstimulation on his own. Y/N? Y/Nâs a little different when it comes to these things.
âYeah. Just a little tired.â His hand slides over Y/Nâs, giving it a soft squeeze.
âIf you want, Iâm sure no one would be upset if we left.â Y/N starts, brushing the fabric of his jeans in an attempt to soothe him. It works.
âNo. Youâre having a good time; Iâm just a little spaced out but Iâm fine here.â He gives a small smile to them as they rest their head against his shoulder. It was definitely the alcohol in Y/Nâs system that made such an action so easy for them.
role model is also on this list. i got extraordinarily busy and didnât end up finishing it on time, and life kinda got busy and i couldnât write anything happy for a while but i swear i will finish it!
these wonât be out for a while, I think this is my fic plan for the rest of the year tbh. but if anyone has any suggestions or requests for something shorter that they want to see, again, please feel free to send them in!!!

Actually, I haven't finish my rant about what annoys me with how Gege wrote Gojo in the last chapter months.
The new episode of the anime is one of my favorite moment in the manga, the moment we are shown that Gojo Satoru cares a lot. It contrasts deeply with the teenage Satoru we met at the beginning of the flashback, who sees the weak are inferiors and useless and despises them. It implies that him and Geto exchanged their point of view throught their time together, with Suguru, who was the one putting values in every human at the beginning, becoming totally repulsed by humankind. They both started with a strong opinion, as they argued about it, but also weren't "extreme" about it, however they swapped opinion and went fully into it. It's not really shown with Gojo in the flashback, apart from him confronting his best friend after his massacre, where he is horrified. Until the Shibuya fight, where Gojo Satoru is clearly annoyed and mad at the pain and deaths the curses are causing around him. We can see his growth from the self-centered teenage boy who didn't have to care about anyone else weaker than him. The smiling goofy strongest is pissed at strangers being killed.
(They don't contribute to the discussion, I just love those panels so much. He looks so feral and crazy bakdhzvjdjsv)
So, Gojo Satoru cares so much, he is mad at those pathetic curses killing random strangers around him. And my issue is that we didn't see this anger toward Sukuna. He was big mad at Kenjoku when he was freed, but nothing against Sukuna. And it annoys me because Sukuna hurt not just strangers BUT THE FUCKING KIDS HE RAISED. I am supposed to accept that Gojo Satoru, who learn to care deeply about the weak and is mad at people hurting them, would not be angry at the curse who possessed Megumi and killed Tsumiki. Sukuna has deeply harm the two children he raised for more than 10 years, why did Gege refused to give us Gojo showing emotions about this!!!
#jujutsu kaisen#gojo satoru#megumi fushiguro#fushiguro tsumiki#jjk#jjk spoilers#i guess???#my ramblings#I have a lot of feelings about this little family of three and Gege is not feeding me#And I'm always hungry

Lol all the 23 mentors would be entering a late teenage rebellion lamo
Yeah the massacre of the covey is another example of the peacekeepers extreme senseless cruelty the covey wanted no part in the conflict,I feel like having Lucy gray be obviously very emotional when she talks about her families deaths would be a shock for the mentors because they never thought that this charming performer could have had such a defecult life and faced lots of tragedies and it would force them to see Lucy gray out of this charming persona and see the vulnerable 16 year old girl venting about her frustrations and the injustices she witnessed and then after she vents she breaks into tears and jessup and wovey stand up to comfort her , and then each tribute talks about the atrocities they saw from the peacekeepers cruelty in their districts
About your ideas for the before end I thought that at first when everyone is trapped the mentors would ask vipsania and coryolinaus if they can get treech to do some tricks or Lucy gray to sing to entertain them Lucy gray and treech are like: you are not getting a show out of me) and the tributes who performed to get food vent about how humiliated they felt at being literal performing monkeys just so they wouldn't starve while yes Lucy gray is a natural performer and l like your HC for treech (although I personally see him as more of someone who loves performing tricks hed give lucky a run for his money, but that's just my opinion your free to have yours) they were still deep down frustrated that they were entertaining people who gawk at them as if they are animals just so they can eat after days of starving so now they don't want to perform and a way that would show how far the mentors changed their views would be of them going from referring to Lucy gray and treech as only their mentors tribute and the "clowns from district 7 and 12 " to refering to them by their names and politely asking them if they want to
I have a few more ideas
It takes a while for Mrs. Plinth to send the food (because she's cooking for 24 children and I don't know if in the book she has servants helping her in the cooking ) so the mentors get the supplies first and when wovey goes to ask: can we have some?we are hungry please) hilarius tells her to go back to her corner and urban attempts to push her wich gets the tributes angry again and bobbin threaten him from daring to touch a single hair on woveys head and its what triggers the mentors to ask why do they care so much about her or any of the younger tributes since they are only just "obstacles " and only mizzen can put up a fight wich cause the tributes like you said to say that they won't hurt each other until they are left with no choice , reaper talks about the strong community of district 11 and how they constantly look after one another because they only have eachother in the face of cruelty and that's why he will protect dill while looking at felix and Clemensia dead in the eye, coral talks about how mizzen is like a little brother to her and there is no way she would abounded him and she tears it into persephone for not prioritizing mizzens well being and festus for thinking of her as only a propt for entertainment and a way for him to gain more money mizzen is so touched by her words that he rushes to hug Coral with tears in his eyes and coral hugs him back, persephone is touched by this and starts to realise how she neglected the little boy that depends on her to survive and how the girl who is supposed to kill him has more clear care and concern for him, while festus is shocked at seeing this side of coral he was only thinking about how he can mold her and not about who she is as a person and it hits him that he has been hoping for a little boy's death , and that it wouldn't be as easy for Coral as he thought it was going to be and it gets him thinking , bobbin yells at hilarius and Juno for complaining about him and wovey as tributes and he says how none of them had any choice in being kidnapped from their homes and families to be brought to die and be treated like less than humans and yeah the tributes only have eachother in this horrid situation
I have heard that in the books district 4 have fish shaped bread so maybe Mrs plinth made fish shaped bread for mizzen and coral and some district 2 dishes for sabyn and Marcus and district 1 recipes for facet and velvreene (idk if these would be known but assuming that these distracts are the wealthiest so they are somewhat popular with what's going on in them) that's what gets everyone realising that this food is meant for the district children and boy this opens more opportunities for shenanigans with the tributes attempting to get the food maybe the stronger more intimidating tributes would start spooking the mentors into giving them the food
And in regards of the tributes talking about the food situations in their districts ever since I found out that mice like grains I have been hc that district 9 have lots of mice so imagine that somehow a mouse makes it into the arena ofcourse the mentors are freaking out(again)and are disgusted but sheaf catches it with her hands and manage to kill it (dont ask how) livia yells: throw it into the rest of the corpses! but sheaf is like: throw it? Give us some matches we are going to cook it đ , and after a vomiting section from the mentors is over she explain how mice are the only meat people in 9can catch without getting a risk of death and punishments by the peacekeepers since they have to keep the mice from eating the grains because "its Capitol property "it doesn't matter what they do with it so mice are the most accessable and common meat back in 9 she even sells mice if she catched many similar to how Katniss would sell squirrels .
I love the idea of the mentors trying to explain the different types of food to the tributes it would be the final wake up call it would take lots of screaming matches especially towards urban, hilarius, arachne, livia, festus, Juno, Gaius and Androcles but they'll get there they will have to stop viewing their tribute as objects/animals and see them for the human beings they are and how they allowed themselves to view starved children who were about to die as opportunities , sejanus would be glad In the end finally his classmates are realising the errors of their ways and yeah the Capitol would definitely send all kinds of fancy food to ensure their precious children have their favourite foods and as many options as they like especially if it's the mentors parents sending it
For some reason I started imagining a scenario where the tributes and the mentors somehow get trapped together in the arena (without the peacekeepers being there don't ask me how I haven't figured it out) at first the mentors are freaking out meanwhile the tributes are just sitting there being like: we are dead anyway and each group is staying on one side of the arena and don't want to cross the other side however when supplies are sent for the mentors empathize on only the mentors the nicer ones are willing to share with their tribute while the less good ones are complaining and screaming nonstop until the tributes have enough of the screaming and tell them to shut up Bec they are the ones who the capitol is trying to save and send supplies for and the ones who well get to live while if they get out of the arena while they will come back home in boxes and will never get the chance to grow up except one and the tributes who are frustrated with their mentors varbully smack them down until the bad mentors finally shut up and slowly they go from insulting the tributes to trying to have a somewhat casual conversation although with little success idk I am writing this while half asleep so sorry if it's all random and there are dozen of plot holes and I haven't decided if the reason they are all trapped in the arena is Bec of the bombing and where the peacekeepers would be as I am not considering them so sorry if this is all random but it's a scenario that I thought would be somewhat amusing
That's a fantastic setup for a fix-it!! Because the best way to convince people to part with their prejudiced, bigoted beliefs is to let them interact with the people they hate. It forces them to see the humanity in those they've convinced themselves are lesser beings. It's what most of my full fix-it AU's are focused on: forcing the mentors to see what they refuse to accept. The tributes just don't have the power or influence to stop the games, but the mentors do. They have the freedom to actually do something. It's just that they don't, because they only care about their own tribute and are raised to believe in the system. The games are a part of the system. Working within the system means trying to make their own tribute the victor, and it's that mentality that gets all of the tributes except Lucy Gray killed.
The bombing's the only time the tributes and mentors both go into the arena at the same time, so it'd have to happen then if we wanna stick as close to canon as possible. Ain't no way the Capitol's gonna let their precious children be alone in a large space with district people so there would be peacekeepers either way. The best way to handle this is to kill most or all of those peacekeepers via rubble. The first bomb goes off in the entrance rather than near it, effectively collapsing it shut, and the second goes off lower down in the stands. Only the walls to the bottom of the stands collapse, the ceiling stays intact. Possibly a third bomb goes off to create a gap in the ceiling that's too high for anyone to reach.
Maybe Treech and Lamina are sent by the mentors to climb the pile and find a way out? Because the mentors view themselves as smarter and more superior so they try to take the lead and be in control. They wanna send Wovey too but the 22 glares (bc Dill wouldn't glare) burning into their very souls put that idea to rest very quickly. But Lamina and Treech can't make an exit without moving stones which would risk bringing the whole building down on everyone. The mentors refuse to accept "no" until Reaper and Marcus have enough of their shit and threaten them to accept the answer or face the consequences. Sejanus, throughout all of this, is an absolute angel trying to stop his mentors from being jerks. It's not effective, but he's trying, and he only admonishes the mentors that try to threaten back. Not Reaper or Marcus, because of course not. They're well within their rights to be rude to the Capitol kids. So, they're stuck and retreat to their corners because of the mentors.
I think the tributes would want to be with each other while stuck in the arena, but their mentors would stop them because competition and "those other tributes are vile and dangerous district scum and you're different so I can't be around those beasts!" Maybe that's actually the snapping point for one of them? It would show some more selfless characteristics which would make it harder for the mentors to ignore. This kid didn't stand up for themself but for people who they met days ago that'll have to die soon. It's very echo-y in the arena so even spoken words can be heard by everyone. Perhaps, while the tributes like Facet and Panlo are screaming at their horrible mentors for being trash, they reveal some of the horrible living conditions in the districts? Like one of them will go "and not even when we're in the Capitol can we escape you worthless, slimy douchebags depriving us of our basic needs! Not even when you need us fed will you bother inconveniencing yourself in the slightest to be less than the bare minimum requirements for a basic human being!!!!" and it kind of shocks the mentors out of their delusion because the tributes haven't ever been so openly hostile before.
Maybe, if they rant a little further, the other mentors turn to their own tributes and ask if things are really that bad. The answer? "Ha! No. Absolutely not don't worry :). It's worse :D" When Facet straight up tells Livia he hates her and everything about her, and Brandy declares she wishes she'd gone through with slitting Arachne's throat rather than showing mercy, they start to realize just how much the tributes loathe them. It's awkwardly silent for a few minutes when Gaius tries to lighten the mood with one of his "jokes". The mentors laugh. The tributes scowl. Panlo says nothing, merely looks Gaius in the eyes for a few seconds. Then he spits in his face and decks him hard enough to break his nose. Standing up, he goes to sit with Sheaf. The glare he gives when Gaius speaks up indignantly and tries to follow shut him up immediately as he sits down. Something about the previous conversation about not feeding the tributes sits with Vipsania and she turns to Treech. "When I said you should perform for food, I-"
"I know about the prize, Vipsania. It's fine, you don't have to lie." Marcus and Sejanus have spent this quality time to bond and become actual friends (because Sejanus is very funny when he subtly roasts his classmates and Marcus can appreciate that the guy's trying to help them at least) so when Sejanus tries to apologize Marcus merely gives him a hug and assures him that he didn't do anything wrong. Coriolanus' belief in Gaul's theory is destroyed because they're all effectively cornered and this is the most human he's ever seen the tributes act (because he can't not pay attention this time). No one's dead, and even the already starving tributes who were initially denied food haven't done anything drastic or caused any actual harm. Huh... Maybe he should listen to Tigris a little more, she's always been there for him after all. He knows she has the best intentions, whereas Gaul... He's starting to have his doubts about her.
Pup asks Lamina whether she thinks he's been a good mentor, and her answer is along the lines of "Yeah, and you've been a good friend to me." She glances at Treech, and he remembers all the things he so desperately tried to diminish and write off. The way they were always near one another, them sharing all their food (his earned through performance, hers given by Pup), the way they constantly looked over at one another to make sure they were still okay and their obvious concern. They cared about each other, and he was fine with taking someone so clearly important to Lamina away from her because actually questioning the system would've made him uncomfortable. His comfort had been more important to him than her happiness, her mental stability, and possibly her life. Vipsania turns back to Treech. "Do you hate me?" It catches everyone's attention, and he stares at her with an unreadable look on his face before hesitantly saying: "You could've been much worse..." While she knows she'll regret it, she repeats herself. "But do you hate me?" For a few agonizing seconds, you could hear a pin drop while everyone waits for his next words. They don't come. Instead, he merely looks away from her, curling in on himself. It's answer enough.
All the other tributes look away as well, and that's when it finally actually hits the mentors. Even the tributes with nicer mentors hate them. It's Lucy Gray who explains it. Some of them like their mentors just fine, but due to the circumstances... There's a part of them that can't help but feel resentful towards the Capitol kids. Their privileged lives, their frivolous worries like school projects that somehow take precedent over children who rely on them to survive, the everything about their circumstances and everyone's role in it. The system that caused the suffering and future death of the tributes is the same system that benefits the mentors. And no matter how much said mentors show they care, it clearly wasn't enough to make them even question this unfair world. Silence and inaction can speak much louder than any word or action ever could sometimes. This is one of those times.
I have so many more ideas but I'll cut it off now. Do you want to write this? If not, I'd be interested :) (with credit given ofc). I do have two running stories and 3 things I plan to start writing, but I'd give this precedence over at least 2 of those lmao. But it is your idea so...

Guillermo tells us how to feel.
Like, consistently. He is the closest thing we have to an audience surrogate and HE tells us what our baseline expectations should be based on his reaction to the world. Luring virgins to a house of vampires to be murdered? All in a day's work! Chopping them up into bits and burying them in the backyard? Gross, but necessary! Re-deading your ex-wives in a Bachelor parody? Morally questionable but I'm not gonna stop you. Hypnotizing a man so many times his brain explodes and he dies? Sounds sad but can't talk, I'm embezzling and committing fraud atm. WWDITS is close to being an anti-comedy like IASIP or Seinfeld because the main characters are all awful people who commit terrible atrocities, but we DO care about them and their happiness because we are given that baseline to work from and know what to take seriously and what to laugh at.
The reason s4e9 felt so cruel was because Guillermo responded to it that way. Because HE was hurt and HE was upset and the last shot of the episode was his heart breaking on screen!! We are SUPPOSED to feel how he feels!! All season things have been getting better for him; he has been more appreciated and respected and has taken more control of his life and now the rug is pulled out from under him again. He/we are left wondering: Guillermo, what now? Is all this still worth it? Is it time for you to leave?
The vampires, as a rule, NO NOT CARE ABOUT HUMANS. They're livestock and free labor and occasional entertainment, and that's the way it's always been. (We haven't even talked about the fact that Nadja killed Sofia Coppola đđđ) Vamps are too long-lived and jaded and used to killing to live for it to be any other way. Humans are playthings!! Unfortunately, that includes Nandor's wives. It includes Marwa, it includes Guillermo's family, and it includes Freddie. But it's starting to NOT include Guillermo.
Like Nandor, we are supposed to FEEL THE GAME ENDING. He was having fun, making a new human to play with because he was bored of his old one and getting to spend time with his bestâŠman and literally could not compute that any of this would be upsetting to Guillermo. Because why would it? They're only toys, they can always get more. (Here, Guillermo is already held separate and above other humans)
But Guillermo was upset! He was angry! He didn't think it was fun, he didn't think it was a game, and this human was IMPORTANT to him and we see Nandor falter, stumble over his words, get quiet and soft and ashamed. The comedy is over and he stops having fun. And he does his best (best is debatable but he is very stupid) to fix it!!
Idk if these events will be specifically addressed next ep because we have important Colin things to do and there had to have been a decent time skip between Freddie leaving and Memo going to London, but I want to point out that THIS IS THE DARKEST HOUR MOMENT. Nadja is losing her club, Laszlo is losing his boy, Colin is losing his youth, Nandor lost his wife/boytoy and Guillermo's trust, and Guillermo lost his boyfriend and got his heart broken for the upteenth time. Things SUCK FOR EVERYONE right now - and that's the point!! Ep 9 of season 3 ended with Colin Robinson DYING. Next ep, things will start to look up. Right before something insane happens that makes everything SIGNIFICANTLY worse and leaves us on a year-long cliffhanger! đ And I for one am excited to see it lmao
(Also Marwa sidenote bc look how they massacred my girl:
I will miss Marwa and I'm sad about her (I know not everyone was fond of her like I was lol but idk if the writers expected anyone to feel a way about her regardless), and I'm left thinking "is this even Marwa?" If she has none of her own memories or body or personality left, can we even consider it her? Does Marwa no longer exist? May be the best outcome for her mental state if she now exists only in 1300s Al Qolindar again lol. But if the wishes get reversed or something else happens to return her to Marwadom I'm hopeful she will pull a Derek and return one day!! Wwdits is well known for bringing back one-off characters, and Marwa was a season regular in like 7/10 episodes so I'm not giving up on her yet... My fanart will continue.)
#wwdits#wwdits spoilers#wwdits s4e9#wwdits speculation#not art#nandermo#freddermo#marwa wwdits#I ainât mad bc I try not to get mad at tv shows anymore I spent all my tears on spn but I am anxious for whatâs next lol#my post.#I may have to wake up at like 6 or 7 wed morning to watch

You know ur small predicament post?? you should make a reverse version where s/o is smaller!
A Smaller Predicament [Genshin Impact x Smol!Reader]
Characters: Scaramouche, Diluc, Kaeya, Childe, Xiao, Zhongli, Albedo
Synopsis: Not only did you shrink, you went pocket sized as well!
(A sequel to "A Small Predicament")
(A/n): Sorry for the long wait anon, and I kind of added a twist to the scenario for more diversity hahaha hope you don't mind >_<. And why is Childe the poster boy for this series lmao.
------------
Childe
When Childe walks in, he doesn't see you....until he looked down. He almost crunched you beneath his feet if it weren't for your constant flailing of arms and screeching voice. He blanks out for a hot minute as you clung onto his toes, doesn't dare to move an inch because he's so petrified (even though there's nothing to be afraid of??). But honestly if Childe moved right now, he might accidentally flail you to the side and that's the last thing he wants.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU??" He screamed so loud it nearly blew you out of proportion. Seems like he's going to have alot of adjusting to do. Childe is a tall man (canonically the tallest) and he knows how impulsive he can get which is why he bought a handmade dollhouse from one of the Liyue merchants for you to stay in.
Though there's something about your tiny size that makes his heart flutter. With your face so small with a pair of eyes far too big, *clutches chest* "My oujo-chan is so cute" -Childe probably. He won't stop saying them over again and you were growing tired of his gushing reactions. He can't help it. He wants to spoil you rotten. You fit right onto the flat of his palms, the way you just snuggle up againts his finger and he just- swoons, might tear up (bruh).
Toys may be for kids but for Childe it was now his favourite pass time. While you navigate around the wooden dollhouse, he pitches in by moving around the furniture to make it easier for you. Offers to carry you through the rooms like a personal elevator. And please, please let him tuck you to bed. He has to pinch his fingers to grab the blanket. It's so adorable to him.
Loves it when you snuggle up against his collar. He thinks it would be the best area for you to be nearby him since the risk of you getting hit by anything (or him) by accident is very slim chance. Sometimes he pulls up his collar so that you're more comfortable and cradled within. He would have to avert his eyes down rather than turning his head if he wanted to look at you otherwise you'd be hit by his chin and that would hurt.
The poking sensation with you by his neck can bother him since he's veeeery tickilish there. Plus, Childe can get easily sweaty so have fun with that.
You have a feeling that he wasn't so pleased when you transformed back. You might be right. Actually, you are right. He secretly has an extra potion hidden somewhere...just in case.
Diluc
Mortified, his soul just left his body. To think things couldn't get any worse ever since he turned into a child to the point no one took him seriously, now you're literally the size of an apple. Oh god what if his bird suddenly swoops in and gobbles you right up? Or the wrath of the wind comes by, swirling you away towards a tornado. Needless to say, Diluc grew paranoid over your well-being ever since.
Due to your extremely small size, he will ensure that you are supervised by him (except at night where he has places to go). In otherwords, you're slipped into the inner pocket of his coat. It's super warm, you can fall asleep (and feel his heartbeat awww). Diluc doesn't like keeping you in places where people can see you, it would be too easy for outer things to access your tiny form (or maybe he secretly likes the feeling of you in his pocket.)
And he's such a gentleman about it. You noticed how careful he moves among his footsteps because he's worried that you might get dizzy. Diluc guards the pocket at close parameter, keeping an eye on things so he won't bump into them. As if he was treading on thin ice (you even suggested it was best to leave you home but he's too overprotective for his own good).
You're like his little assistant. Diluc does so much paperwork through out the day and although the act was small, he finds it endearing how you would help bring the papers back to it's rightful pile or pushing the ink bowl towards him. Or during his shifts at Angel's Share, crawling around the glass utensils and trying to find a specific wine beverage on his shelf. Of course that only happens when the shop is closed, how is he going to explain to his patrons that you shrank and now live in his pocket?
He dislikes the thought of you wandering too far. It's so easy for you to get lost especially when the mansion is so large.
At night you now sleep atop the fluff of the pillow. Diluc is a calm sleeper so he won't have to worry about hitting into you. However he radiates warmth so you just subconicously roll towards to his face. He usually wakes up with you sprawled over his nose. He can hardly breath (careful, he might just sneeze too).
This all happened because of the experiements you participated with Albedo. Diluc ensures that doesn't happen again. It will take some tencaious effort to convince him otherwise.
Scaramouche
Fuck this guy. He treats you like his new pet, a new toy (though you technically are one). He has this arrogant, smug and sadistic look as if he was a predator looking at his prey and grabs you by the collar before dangling you up in the air.
"Hmph, looks like the tables have turned," he says while toying with your state. You tell him he's just angry because he's short himself and mad that everyone else in the Fatui organization is taller than him. Scaramouche demon face activated. He's about to devour you. (Maybe you should keep your mouth shut this time. Honestly your relationship with him is pretty weird).
His hat is so fun to play with. You'd swing around like Tarzan using the strings that were hanging from it. His head was your playground now which annoys him to an enourmous extent because it makes him look ridiculous. Scaramouche will have a hard time catching you since you move around so much. Climb around him, especially the back of his neck. He'll start wheezing when you tickle him there.
The type to put you in a box but also the type to keep you on his shoulders. Being relied on makes him feel taller (lmfao). Scaramouche seemse to have developed a habit to poke your cheeks whenever he needed your attention and you bit him back once when he pushed too hard that you nearly fell off. Despite your size, your teeth still hurt. He threatens to put you back into the box if you don't behave and the outcome ends with a full out brawl as he tries to grab you again while you run around, pulling the strands of his hair to climb on top of his hat. (This is literally Tom and Jerry wtf.)
After transforming back, he outwardly admits his disappointmen. Scaramouche says it suits you better (when he actually meant that he highly prefers you small). You marked his words, keeping an extra vial for your own entertainment in the near future.
Xiao
Xiao was face-palming against his forehead real hard about this. For the love of Rex Lapis, what kind of trouble have you gotten yourself into this time? First it was the child incident, now you're the size of his finger? Good grief, looks like he will have to keep an eye on you from now on but at the same time he's scared to get too close, you are nothing but a tiny mortal in which he would have to double his effort to look after.
He lets you sit at the crown of his head rather than anywhere else. You insisted since it was easier to see everything at a nice distance (plus he's short so you won't have to worry about him bumping into door frames). You noticed that Xiao also has a little strand sticking out from the center (ahoge) and you sometimes grab onto it for stability. Turns out he's quite sensitive there and winces when you pull too hard.
For the remaining week as the antedote was being prepared, Xiao became extremely aggressive over your well-being, he looks as if he's ready to massacre everything in his way...which he did. Clears out the monsters off the path before going on daily strolls with you, you wouldn't have to lift a finger from now on. No one except for him is allowed to hold you unless they're a trustworthy person. You could feel his sharp eyes glued on you like a hawk when walking into the grasp of Zhongli's hand.
You once accidentally tripped into his almond tofu when he wasn't looking and he almost ate you. Turns out being small made his job as your gaurdian ten times harder (especially when you're the clumsy type). If you were to fall off the table, he would have to catch you right? Xiao often bumps into furnitures in the process...ouch!
He's very soft. It's all over his forehead, his mouth, his eyes. When he looks at you, his tense eatures melted away and there's an invisible fondness over them as he cradles you in his palm. The way you snuggle in them is lke the most precious thing in the world.
When you turn back, there's a wave of relief. He was really stressed out you know?
Zhongli
His first thought is to get you as far as he can from the Funeral Parlour before Hu Tao finds you. Who knows what that child might have in mind. Zhongli takes one of his empty tea pots and urges you to go inside, or carries a tea cup with you in it, he likes placing you on objects while carrying you around.
Zhongli realizes that you can no longer use the household items like before so he has to remake them to your standards- especially when he realized he doesn't have the mora to buy you a dollhouse. He improvises. Takes a handkerchief to make your blanket, his cups for your bathtub, Zhongli had to cut the foot into byte-sized too. But in terms of clothes, well he had to make them as well. Living thousands of years would mean he would have lot of experience. Sewing was one of them luckily. But that would mean he has to take your measurements as well. In the end, most of the things he made were dresses since they were alot easier.
You like to sneak in between his shirt and his vest tucked behind the coat he wears. Unfortunately Zhongli doesn't seem to have visible pockets (most likely the reason why he doesn't carry mora either), though if you don't hold on tight you might just slip down his vest and right to his stomach. It makes him chuckle when that happens even if the amount of effort to get you out took more than he thought since his attire is quite complicated to put on. If you really want to climb on him, he'll find a seperate pouch (but realizes it won't be a good idea when there's alot of pick-pocketers in Liyue streets).
All of a sudden he reads you bedtime stories. It's some sort of inner instinct that tells him he's taking care of a child now (he's right though). You realized that his voice was equivalent to a thunder's roar due to size difference. He would have to whisper now.
It will always be part of his precious memories when you turned pocket-sized. Zhongli still keeps the clothing he made somewhere in his closets too.
Kaeya
Amused by this eventful situation. Absolutely thrilled! He's not evil like Scaramouche but this new version of his s/o is both adorable and fun at the same time. You're so easy to tickle, just one poke using his finger against your hips makes you yelp. Sometimes he twirls your hair or taps your forehead gently despite your protest, he's so handsy like always in an affectionate yet annoying way.
Kaeya picks you up and places you among the fluffy comfort of his feathery scarf. You sneezed, the last time he cleaned it was before he went on a mission with the knights. Though you have to admit, it's the best feeling in the world. It's so soft you might sink deeper into the fabric. He likes to put you in places where he can talk to you easily, sometimes on the table while he downs on his wine. Normally you have to take the bottle away before it gets too much, now you have to push it away which he finds very entertaining at your futile attempts.
"Don't you have anything better to do?" you tell him. Since you turned byte-sized, he can't seem to stop playing around. Takes his two fingers and pretends they're legs walking across the surface. You would turn around and he halts, Kaeya sends you his signature grin. When he promises that he wouldn't do anything funny, you would let him hold you. Since hugs are out of the equation, Kaeya gives you his finger instead to wrap your arms around. He can't get enough seeing you like this, things he couldn't do when you were normal-sized. he enjoys your reactions way too much.
His favourite pass time is helping you brush your hair because the hairbursh is too big for you to handle. Kaeya ensure he's handling things delicately but he would love to help style it for you as well. Pretty please? At this point one request turns to another because he's having way too much fun. But it couldn't be helped since you would need his assistance in almost everything so there's really no escaping.
You were so happy when things were normal again but Kaeya would bring this up again during your conversations (how next time he would like to put you in his drinks while you're wearing a swim suit).
Albedo
Legit blurted out if he could put you on a hamster wheel.
What about trying out the little maze he just made?
Or participating in a race against slimes of different elements?
No? Okay, then he'll just turn you back.
Albedo isn't going deal with this as along as he can help it (especially when he remembers what Klee did to him when he turned small.)

Being a vampire and discovering Nandor is your ancestor would involve... (Part 3)
This part includes the character of David from The Lost Boys (1987), but itâs not necessary to have watched the movie; you can simply consider it a placeholder name for (name)âs boyfriend.
*****
đŠ Itâs been five years since you and Nandor discovered you are related; you love each other like a father and a child, you trust each other completely and have a lot of fun together.
đŠ Meanwhile, youâve made friends with some other vampires in town, closer to your own age, which Nandor approves; the moment you, almost too casually, mention a new friend named David, though⊠something feels off, like youâre not telling him everything or are afraid of his reaction. He asks you about David, how you met him and what kind of person he is, but your answers are vague; Nandor then asks to meet your new friend, and you promise youâll introduce him, but you never do.
đŠ Somethingâs off, heâs sure of it; Guillermo points out that he doesnât have the right to stick his nose into your business, not least because you wouldnât like it, and Nandor, who doesnât want to make you angry, promises to keep his questions to himself. Heâs still suspicious, though; what if this David is a bad lot, who could end up hurting you in some way?
đŠ Then, one night, the gang gets ready to go to an acquaintanceâs 500th birthday party. Youâre also invited, but you decide to stay home watching TV, even though Nandor tells you theyâll probably stay out until dawn; he doesnât need to worry, youâll be fine alone for one night!
đŠ Something happens, and the gang gets home much sooner than expected. Nandor opens the door of the living room calling for you⊠and finds you lying on the sofa, entwined to the body of a young blonde vampire with a mullet, kissing like only people who donât need to breathe can, both of your shirts lying on the floor.
đŠ For a moment youâre both so surprised you donât know how to react. Then⊠â(Name)!â he roars; âNandor!â you shriek, and then together: âWhat the fuck are you doing/doing here already?â
đŠ Five seconds and the room explodes into chaos. Nadja, Laszlo and Guillermo are barely able to hold Nandor, who is trying to pounce on David (he doesnât need to ask his name; now everything is clear!) to kill him with his bare hands; you beg/order him to stop, because your boyfriend did nothing you didnât enthusiastically consent to; David, being David, adds fuel to the fire telling him heâs not afraid to fight an old man and you two have kept your relationship secret too long already.
đŠ Nandor freezes. âBoyfriend? Relationship?â he asks in disbelief. âThatâs rightâ, you answer once you and David have both put your clothes back on, youâve walked him to the door begging him to stop antagonizing your ancestor and youâve gone back to Nandor, sitting next to him âDavid heâs my boyfriend, heâs been for three months already. I wanted to show him where I lived⊠and I wanted us to have some privacyâ.
đŠ To say Nandor is shocked would be an understatement. He knows youâre a great person, beautiful, cool, so he should have known people would be attracted to you, and itâs also normal for you to desire a relationship⊠but. But.
đŠ Imagine a stereotypical protective parent; multiply by a hundred, and you have Nandor. âWho the fuck is this guy? Where does he live? How did you met him?â he asks menacingly, and you, not intimidated in the slightest, tell him the truth. David had lived in a small town in California called Santa Carla; like you, he is the only survivor of the massacre of his clan, and he arrived in Staten Island after wandering for a while, looking for a new home. You met in a local club frequented by vampires, you struck up a conversation⊠and the rest is history.
đŠ You take Nandorâs hand in yours, feeling sorry for him; you havenât had a father figure for a long time and youâre old enough not to need one, but itâs not hard to understand what heâs thinking right now, and youâre grateful, but⊠âListen, Iâm sorry I lied about tonight; I should have told you all about him a long time ago, introduced you⊠but I knew you wouldnât approve in any caseâ.
đŠ âHey, thatâs not fairâŠâ âWell, do you?â âOf course not!â âYou see my point? Nandor, please; I like David very much, more than anyone I met in a hundred years; he treats me very well. I think that if you met him, you would like him too; can you try, please? For me?â
đŠ He wouldnât be able to say no to your pleading eyes even if his life were at stake; therefore, he promises not to stand in the way between you and David, and while the grateful hug you give him is very nice, he already knows he wonât be able to keep his word.
đŠ The truth is, he canât stand David. He doesnât like his clothes, that ridiculous mullet, the stench of the cigarettes he smokes every time he comes pick you up for a date, and his motorbike. He has a motorbike, for crying out loud! Why canât he simply fly to places, like any normal vampire? What if he has an accident while youâre riding with him?
đŠ âBut (name) is a vampire, master, I doubt a motorbike accident could seriously injure themâŠâ âShut up, Guillermo!â
đŠ But if he must be honest with himself, the real problem is you having a relationship, not your choice of partner. When it comes to love and relationships, Nandor is the unluckiest person in the world, and heâs terrified that it could be hereditary, or in any case, that David could hurt you in some way; youâre a smart, confident person who does not accept to be bullied by anyone, but what if he cheats on you, breaking your heart? What if he hits you, promises not to do again, is forgiven, and then does it again? What if he takes you away from him?
đŠ This is the thing that scares him the most. Your relationship with him and with David are very different, of course, but isnât it normal for a young person to focus on romantic relationships, excluding the rest? How many vampires have an ancestor as a confidant, instead of a boyfriend? You have many friends already and he has never felt neglected, but this time is different, he feels it.
đŠ He doesnât even want to think about you and David being intimate. He knows it has probably already happened, given the state you were on the sofa when he caught you and the fact youâve been dating for months, but⊠no. He feels the urge to punch a wall (he does; twice). How dare that rascal touch something as pure and amazing as you? Does he even realize how lucky he is just to receive your smile? Does he thank his lucky star every day that you chose him as a partner?  Â
đŠ Something Nandor hates is that his friends, who are also yours, not only donât share his concerns, but they love David, and they approve of the two of you together. Nadja and Laszlo greet him like an old friend every time he comes pick you up, lend you their clothes for date nights, and even attempt to impart onto you their wisdom as experts on love and relationships. Even Guillermo starts to appreciate your boyfriend, knowing that he makes you happy and especially after David, who in turn has taken a liking to the familiar, takes him for a ride on his bike.
đŠ They, of course, donât understand; no one does, except Nandor. Youâre clearly happy with your boyfriend, you talk well of him, he gives you presents and organizes amazing dates for the both of you; but still, sooner or later heâs going to hurt you, make you cry or, worse, get you in trouble! You have already escaped vampire hunters once, and David is even worse at hiding his vampiric nature in public than the Baron was! Sooner or later heâs gonna get you killed!
đŠ Which means, of course, that he has to break his promise of not interfering with your relationship, to protect you. He doesnât even try to forbid you from seeing David, since he couldnât and he knows it; instead, he begins following you, hiding in the places youâre having your dates at, checking that your boyfriend is not doing anything to make you uncomfortable, ready to intervene if he does. He must admit that he treats you very well, and that you look happier and more at ease than heâs ever seen you, and this fills him with envy; he knows it makes no sense to be jealous of your boyfriend, but he canât help it.
đŠ Nandor is not the best at passing unnoticed, and in the end, it happens; you and David are making-out sitting on a bench in a park at midnight, when a branch on a tree next to you breaks, and Nandor falls down with a scream.
đŠ Youâre angry. Youâre embarrassed. But most of all, youâre hurt. He had promised! You thought he respected you and your need for some privacy, canât he see how inappropriate it is to be seen by a father-figure in a moment like that?!
đŠ Nandor hasnât realized, but it hasnât been easy for you recently. You love him, and you love David (you really do, and you had been planning to tell him tonight, hadnât the two of you been interrupted) and itâs terrible to see them at odds with each other, your ancestor who doesnât even try to hide his contempt for your boyfriend, and David who complains that Nandor hates him without reason and teases him every chance he gets. You feel conflicted, always having to justify one with the other, and you canât stand anymore.
đŠ You and Nandor end up having a shouting match in the middle of the street; he tries to explain heâs acted in your best interest and just doesnât want to see you get hurt, but you wonât hear it; his behavior proves that he considers you too young/naive/stupid to take care of yourself, and that he has seen fit to break his promise to you to do as he wanted. You canât forgive him for this; in that moment, youâre pretty sure youâll never be able to.
đŠ âI left home as a human to be able to live my life, so that no one could control me anymore; and now you do the same!â you scream at him. In the end you and David leave together, and the next night Guillermo packs you a suitcase and brings it to you, which means that you donât plan on returning home soon.
đŠ Knowing that youâre now living with your boyfriend should send Nandor into a rage; it doesnât. He has screwed up big time and he knows it; and now he has lost your respect, your trust, and you, maybe forever.  How could he be so stupid, and so insensitive? He feared David would hurt you, and in the end heâs the one who did it!
đŠ Weeks pass, and Nandor is broken-hearted. He almost stop feeding himself, and he spends whole nights by himself, looking outside the window or wandering around aimlessly; his friends are worried for him, but they donât know how to help. He has no idea where you live now; he could try and find it, but he doesnât, having finally understood that you deserve your space and the freedom to make your own choices, even the wrong ones. He hopes youâre well, safe, and happy; but he knows he doesnât deserve to wish for your return.
đŠ And then one night, out of the blue, David arrives. âHave you come to gloat?â Nandor asks tiredly, bu David is dead serious, so serious Nandor worries something terrible has happened to you.
đŠ â(Name) is fine, donât worry; but they miss you. They are a wreck, they donât smile, they donât talk, they do nothing all night, they even lost their appetite! Listen, I know you donât like me, and I donât exactly love you either, since you made (name) cry, but something we have in common is that we both care for them, right? You need to come to out place, and say youâre sorry; thatâs all itâll take. Come on, donât you want to make up for this mess?â
đŠ Nandor has known David for months, but suddenly itâs like heâs looking at the young vampire for the first time⊠and what he sees itâs not much different from what he saw the first time he met you: a young vampire without a home, who lost his family because of the hunters, and who needed a new place to stay, companionship, and someone who cared for them. No wonder the two of you connected! He does have ridiculous hair and those stinking cigarettes, but can Nandor really hate him? Â
đŠ In the end, Nandor follows David to a flat out of town, that your boyfriend has claimed for himself after he killed and fed on the owner; he decorated it a lot like the old cave he lived in with his friends in Santa Carla, but Nandor ha no interest for interior design.
đŠ Youâre curled up on a sofa, looking more small, fragile and malnourished than the day you met him; seeing him step in you gasp, and Nandor, choked with emotion, can barely utter â(Name), Iâm so sorryâ, and thatâs enough; you jump into his arms, hugging him tight, and thereâs no need for words, you each understand what the other is feeling; forgiveness is asked and granted, and peace returns between you and your ancestor.
đŠ From that moment on, everything goes smoothly⊠almost. You and David get along great, you and Nandor are closer than ever, and your ancestor has learned to get along with your boyfriend; sometimes you catch them sharing a look⊠you wouldnât know how to describe it. Not friendly (even though their relationship is slowly becoming less frosty; thankfully youâre all immortal, and you hope than in a century or five theyâll actually become friends!) but more like two people who have reached an understanding; they both love you and want to see you happy, and on that agreement theyâre able to build a civil relationship. David comes to respect Nandorâs strength as an older vampire, while your ancestor is reluctantly forced to admire your boyfriendâs energy and disregard for safety and anonymity.
đŠ You spend some time with both of them equally, and David becomes sort of an âassociate memberâ of the family, living on his own but dropping by whenever he pleases. He even convinces Nandor to come on a ride with him! âSo, how was it, old man?â âPleasant enough, I must admit. Say, would you like to learn to ride a horse?â
đŠ In the end, the people you love learn to get along and everything is perfect.
Thanks for reading! This is part three of three.

You know what would be cathartic?
JC getting the ass whooping he deserves.
I can't get over how he gets zero repercussions for the massacre of the Wen remnants as well as torturing and murdering who knows how many people for 13/16 years... Etc. Sure after Guanyin temple we get a spark of hope that he might at least mend his ways, but then in the extras he's back to his old ways so đ€·
The only post canon I accept for him is that he finally manages to cross one line too many and someone just beats the shit out of him and wipes the floor with his mug (preferably WN or LSZ because those two are such good boys and they deserve a little violence as a treat but LWJ and WWX could get to let out some steam as well) meanwhile the rest of the cultivation world watches on like "yup he had it coming"
(this is way, way post canon but I had a vision in my head. I hope it works)
Age has done nothing to temper Jiang Wanyin's personality. He's still entirely too quick to anger, always a hair's breadth away from violence. Lan Xichen finds it distasteful but he's a Sect Leader and must maintain proper relationship with his peers.
His amiable masks strains, just a little, when his youngest nephew is pushed back by the fury of Jiang Wanyin's blade.
It was supposed to be a lesson but Xichen knows Jiang Wanyin's true motives.
Lan Zhenxing is Wangji and Wuxian's youngest child, adopted when he was discarded at the gates of Cloud Recesses as a little baby. He may as well be Wei Wuxian's natural-born son, given how much he resembles him in personality.
His uncle is very displeased but Wangji is not-so-secretly enamored. Nothing pleases him more than finding traces of his husband in their son.
The quality that Wangji adores, Jiang Wanyin detests.
Xichen has always wondered why Jiang Wanyin is so determined to remain bitter. It hurts no one but himself. Wuxian has moved on, it isn't in his brother-in-law's nature to linger in the past. Xichen has witnessed his blissful happiness first hand and is forever grateful it turned out this way.
There's no reason why Jiang Wanyin couldn't follow the same path; build his family, nurture new ties, and take the path of peace.
Now, as he watches Jiang-zongzhu pressure his little nephew, his 14-year-old baby Lan, he can't help but feel angry.
It is supposed to be a lesson, a way to correct the child's sword grip, a way to help him become lighter on his feet.
Xichen had permitted it, nudging his intimidated nephew gently.
It was a mistake.
His little nephew's face is white and eyes are wide. He is visibly terrified and there's no parent in the crowd unbothered by it. He sees several cultivators step forward with disapproving frowns. There are a few who even dare to call Jiang Wanyin's name, asking him to slow down.
The Cultivation world is very familiar with the man's temper but this is the first time they see his capacity for ruthlessness so starkly.
"Jiang Cheng," Xichen turns around to see Wei Wuxian walk forward and breathes a sigh of relief. Wangji is nowhere to be found but he assumes he's still engaged in writing a report of their most recent Nighthunt.
The differences between Jiang Wanyin and Wei Wuxian couldn't be more stark.
Wuxian has a genial air and a youthful face. He barely looks like a father of three children, two of them already adults. Diligence and innate brilliance have allowed him to reach new heights of cultivation.
In terms of power, no one but Wangji is his match.
Jiang Wanyin, in contrast, has the look of a bitter, worn-down man. Xichen has always found it fascinating.
In Wei Wuxian, that Golden Core had thrived and shone with the brilliance of the Sun. In Jiang Wanyin, it has lost all of its lustre. It remains powerful, but nowhere near as potent as it should be.
Twenty three years ago, Wei Wuxian had gotten a weak body and a weak core. He build it up again and now he stands tall, strong, and practically glowing with the might of his spiritual prowess.
It is perhaps the person, not the core itself, that determines a cultivator's power.
Wei Wuxian steps between a furious Jiang Wanyin and his son, running a gentle hand over the boy's head to reassure him, "Go keep your A'die company, a-Xing. He's stuck with paperwork and would love a distraction."
All traces of fear have already left Zhenxing's face and he is back to his good-humored self. He bows to his father and Jiang-zongzhu cheerfully and walks away.
Wei Wuxian stares down at Jiang Wanyin with no trace of kindness on his face. The gentle father is gone, this is the Wei Wuxian his brother has carefully brought out with years of love and unceasing devotion.
Confident, self-assured, and absolutely unwilling to be anyone's victim.
"If you're angry, take it out on someone who can actually beat some sense into you, Jiang Cheng."
"Wei Wuxian!"
"Jiang Wanyin," His brother-in-law echoes mockingly, "Did you think you could harass my son and I would just let it go?"
"He's a weak if he needs your protection, even now." Jiang Wanyin says and Wuxian's expression turns frosty.
He unsheathes Suibian, "It seems like you need a sound thrashing."
Xichen coughs to conceal his laugh as Jiang Wanyin scowls furiously and rushes at Wuxian.
It is a short match. Sandu races forward and Wuxian spins out of its way, Suibian singing through the air as he cuts a shallow slash across Jiang Wanyin's chest.
The sight of blood silences everyone.
Wei Wuxian doesn't falter. It would seem everyone has forgotten just how ruthless the Yiling Laozu can really be when provoked. Wuxian presses Jiang Wanyin like the Sect Leader had pressed Lan Zhenxing. He becomes a swift, merciless, overwhelming force that has Jiang Wanyin scrambling backwards to avoid the more deadly strikes.
All the while, Wei Wuxian is calm, his lips quirked and clothes unruffled. He spins in a flurry of rich black silks and brings Suibian down with such force, Jiang Wanyin loses control of Sandu.
The sword clatters to the ground and Jiang Wanyin looks up at Wei Wuxian with fury and embarrassment.
"My son is weak, huh?"
One must wonder, Xichen thinks absently, how a man with every advantage in his corner manages to squander his potential so completely.
Jiang Wanyin is of noble birth, handsome in appearance, and posses a golden core that had immense potential.
And yet.
Xichen shakes his head as other cultivators nod in approval of Wei Wuxian, murmuring among themselves.
Apparently, no earthly advantages can overcome the faults of one's character.
"The good and righteous are always strong," His uncle says with grim satisfaction and Xichen looks at him in surprise, "Even if their bodies are weak." He thinks back on the young Wei-gongzi, back from the dead in a weak body. "The wicked and resentful are always weak." Lan Qiren starts walking away, following Wei Wuxian out of the training field, "Regardless of the power they hold."
Xichen looks back at Jiang Wanyin, who is stalking away with humiliation written on his face, ignoring the disapproving frowns aimed at his back.
What a pity.

Fic Rec (it's been too long and I read a whole lot of fics)
I've read so many fics these past couple of months and my need to share them to the world has seized me by the throat. Please enjoy and support these fanfic writers! They are the best. XD
-
[Naruto]
Nine-Tailed Foxes are Dead by RowlettLesbian
Ship: Shikamaru/Naruto
For Konoha, it's been one month since the preliminary Chunin exams. For Naruto, it's been six. And he wasn't in Konoha.
At the end of his ordeal, Naruto walks into the Chunin Exam finals without his left arm.
Shikamaru is very concerned. And, eventually, very precious to Naruto as they work together to solve the mysteries of Konoha and bring kindness to the Shinobi world, one adventure at a time.
(I would die for this fic. I know the summary sounds doom and gloom but IT'S NOT. This fic made me fucking cry, I don't think I've ever read a fic that characterized Naruto so right. He's so full of hope and love and develops into the best version of himself and I'm so HERE FOR IT. And it's not just Naruto, Shikamaru is absolutely amazing here along with Kakashi and surprise surprise Ino, I can't BELIEVE it took me this long to stumble across this fic. Also THE WORLDBUILDING IS TO DIE FOR!!! And the plot! Is! So! Interesting! Just, everything about this fic is just amazing so please PLEASE read this!!!)
The End of the Uchiha by RowlettLesbian
Ship: Naruto/Sasuke
âI promise, little electric spirit of this shrine,â he whispered into the soft dirt and fallen leaves, âI will never gain the eyes. I will never pass them on. And I will make sure the eyes end in my brother, so that they canât hurt anybody anymore. I will be the last Uchiha, and see to the end of the Copy-Wheel Clan. Then all of the hatred here can stop, and my family can rest peacefully. I promise, little shrine.â
Sasuke is more than his brother thinks he is. He's more than any Uchiha has ever been. He will kill his brother, but it will not be vengeance.
It will be mercy.
(Same author as the one above, they are the gift that keeps on giving. Seriously, HOW did I NEVER FIND THESE FICS before now??? One of life's greatest mysteries. The author's sense of humor is so on point here along with the atmospheric writing that's so vivid in the mind. Their writing style is so recognizable to me now and makes me fall into the world they're creating, it's stunning. Sasuke here makes me want to hug him and the idea of him living like a feral ghibli character has me LIVING. Check the tags of the fic, all of it is true, hand to god. Please give all of the author's fics a shot, it's a rabbit hole I'm thankful I fell into!)
mil fantasmas (gritan en calma) by LegaciesandMemories
Post-Tsukuyomi, something in Uchiha Sasuke's mind shatters. The same night, Yamanaka Ino falls asleep and doesn't wake up for 15 days.
---
In which Ino and Sasuke both wake from the aftermath of the Uchiha Massacre with the ability to see ghosts, and no one is prepared for the fallout.
(This fic has arrested my curiosity and eagerness to know what will happen next. These poor kids need so many hugs and Ino is getting the spotlight she deserves. I am so excited for this fic and what it has in store! Please read! XD)
Lichtenberg Figures by Asteroid_Duck (JustThatOneGirl1815)
Name: Kakashi Hatake Rank: Jounin Status: Missing Nin Missing Since: June 15th, 271 AD Note: Flee on Sight . . . Haburashi looked his team in the eyesâ three, fresh out of the Academy geninâ and resolved to teach them as best as he could. And right now, his lesson was simple: âStay. Away. From. Kakashi. Hatake.â
(Dimension travel fic with a slice of Kakashi being an absolute troll and dealing with the shitty hand he's been dealt with. Seriously, the man has the worst luck in all of Konoha. Also, the mystery of the other Kakashi's history has me leaning by the edge of my seat, I need to know.)
The Governess by Ysmirel
Ship: Kakashi/OFC
"âWhat,â he finally asked, âis so funny?â
Ibara bit her lower lip to keep the chuckles in, still smiling and making absolutely no effort to get more space between them, seemingly perfectly at ease within reach of a trained shinobi. Her self-control wasn't all that good, as she ended up snorting and was overcame once again by another fit of laughter. âI just- It's just-â She struggled to speak, trying to catch her breath and wiping away tears of mirth with the hand that wasn't still holding onto his vest. Finally, she looked him in the eye and said, with a smile that was all teeth and without a hint of her previous drunken stupor, âand who's going to believe you?â
As he stood there, stunned by her words and change in demeanor, he realized with dawning horror that she was right."
In which Kakashi finds himself at the other end of the troll shtick, and he doesn't appreciate it all that much.
(It's so hard to find self-insert fics with a fresh concept these days, especially in the naruto fandom. Not that I don't enjoy and devour a lot of self insert fics like it's going out of style, but it's just so nice to find something new and shiny and really damn good. I'm so pumped for this fic and how it's going to develop so please join me in rooting for this fic!)
half a league (until the valley of death) by SpectersShadow117
Kakashi can think of no reason for Sasuke's inexplicable and drastic change in behavior. He doesn't like the desperate, haunted gleam in his student's eyes, and he also doesn't like the nagging feeling that he's missing something very important. Aka: Future Sasuke goes to Past Sasuke and gives him a reality check with Specific Intentions, but as with most Uchiha, his methods leave much to be desired. (Featuring: Childhood trauma FTW, Konoha's shitty care of orphans, and absolutely no one having a fun time.)
(Sasuke wanting to change the future out of complete and utter spite has me LIVING. Sasuke is such a Mess here and the twist on the time travel premise is so good and the kid is so Traumatized and Desperate and Not Having A Good Time. Naruto and Sakura developing as better ninjas and Kakashi trying his best makes me want to scream. Also, how Sasuke thinks about Itachi makes me want to cackle. I am 100% down for this. I am rooting for this kid, go get them! XD)

[Harry Potter]
fruit loops in time (circle around me) by justprompts
Ships: Harry/Draco, Remus/Sirius
"This is Crabbe, and Goyle," the blonde boy says, pointing at the two boys next to him. "And I'm Malfoy, Draco Ma - "
Ron laughs, and Malfoy immediately bristles.
"Think my name's funny, do you?" Malfoy says, angrily. "No need to ask yours - "
"You're honestly so cute," Ron interrupts, yet again, shaking his head. "So tiny. And so angry, all the time. It's adorable."
Alternatively Ron Weasley, Time Traveller Extraordinaire, is stuck in the same seven year Hogwarts Loop, repeating the same thing over and over again. Naturally, he's so done with everything.
(This is the greatest hp fic I've ever read. I LOVE RON WEASLEY and by the time you read this fic SO WILL YOU!! This is the fic I WISH I have the ability to write. I read this entire fic aloud to my brother and we spent literal hours howling and talking about how utterly insane and incredible this fic is, it's amazing. This is hands down my favorite Ron Weasley. You Can Pry This Fic From My Cold Dead Fingers.)

[Boku no Hero Academia]
Kacchan's Cult by Ourliazo
Pro Hero Ground Zero is attacked, originally meant to be de-aged out of existence by a desperate villain but is instead launched into his 14-year-old self.
But Katsuki is a fucking pro so whatever, time to fuck up someone's day. And sure, maybe he's only one man, but that's why he conscripts the entirety of the UA student body into tearing down some criminal empires.
(It's time travel, crack, and Bakugou being his usual explody, competent self. What more in life do you want? Seriously though, please read. I'm obsessed with this fic and having a Good Time!)
Cleaning Crew; Teaching Kids to Value their Safety, for Fun and Profit by Reavv
Takenaka Hideo is a thirty-two year old, in mild desperation for money, who has just been hired as a new janitor for UA's support staff. He has a quirk that lets him find lost objects, a liaison with the police because of it, and desperate desire for competent co-workers.
Oh, and he's already lived a previous life, in a world where quirks and heroes didn't even exist.
Not a big deal, though. It's not like you ever see the janitor playing a big part in action movies. He's here to get paid, and that's it.
On the opposite side of the equation, class 1-A has to wonder at the new UA cryptid that always seems to show up when things are on fire, and who keeps trying to convince them to let the adults handle the fire extinguisher.
(A great deal of fun packed into one fic. That is how I title this fic and nothing will change my mind! Hideo just wants to quietly do his job and not get in the way. I Relate. Please read!)
Poltergeist by WriterGreenReads
Class 1-A is haunted.
Well, not really.
I AM dead, though.
World's friendliest poltergeist, at your service.
(I don't know how I got so sucked into OC fics, but I found some fantastic fics along the way so I have no regrets. The author really tries to push the premise and I just love all the interactions and dynamics that form as the fic gets further in. And the OC character and all the hijinks they get up to cracks me up! At the same time, it's pretty heartwarming and it's practically a friendships galore fic! Definitely recommend it!)
invincible by supercrunch for Engrin
Ship: Bakugou/Midoriya
This is the way the world works: the sun rises in the east. The strong come out on top. Bakugou Katsuki rockets through life like a comet and Midoriya Izuku stumbles after. If he believed in such things Katsuki would say it was written in the stars. That some god of war had looked at him and said this one. That heâd been passed along a line to get his blessings â genius, willpower, fearless ambition â and dropped off on earth.
Then, of course, there is the question of Deku. The spitfire runt. Deku, no matter what the world does to him, never stops hoping.
Until, of course, he eventually does.
(Katsuki broke him. Snapped him in half like a twig and now has to scramble to put Deku back together. âWe can do this, Deku," he says slowly. "There are so many mysteries that never got put to bed. Criminals roaming around looking to hurt people and you and me, we can fix that.â
Thereâs a long pause. The comforter slips a little off Dekuâs skinny shoulders and drowns him. âYou mean like a team?â
In that split second, Katsuki makes a decision heâs never even considered. He swallows his pride. âYeah, Deku. Weâd be a team.â)
(If there was any other way canon could've gone, this is the story I would've wanted. It's perfect.)
Inadvertent Wilderness Therapy by Cacid
Following an unfortunate encounter with a teleporter on the last day of internships, Bakugou Katsuki and Hakamata Tsunagu spend some quality time in northern Canada.
In no particular order they will: build ugly survival shelters, stalk rabbits, run from polar bears, reflect on the chemical composition of trees, insult each other, and complain about krumholtz.
(THESE TWO. TOGETHER. IN THE WILDERNESS. IN FUCKING CANADA OF ALL PLACES. I still can't believe this fic actually exists and just how INVESTED I became in their relationship. Blue Jeanist instantly became my favorite ranked hero with this fic alone. HIS SENSE OF HUMOR IS TERRIBLE, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH FNIEWOPAF. BAKUGOU DOES TOO. IT'S FUCKING INCREDIBLE. *incoherent screeching into the wild*)
-
[Stranger Things]
Baci D'aria by RabbitDarling
âLove is worth the sum of itself, and nothing more.â â Alice Hoffman, Practical Magic
Steve learned a lot at his Aunt's side before she passed but his favourite thing she taught him was baci d'aria; special little spells that you created from the heart and put into the food you shared.
In opening his heart and gifts to those around him Steve slowly finds himself a family in a way he never thought he'd get to experience. One by One he collects pre-teens to trail in his wake like ducklings and Steve can't even refute it by the time he realizes what has happened.
(This fic is so soft and Steve is just collecting people and winning them over with his magical food (literally). I am always a sucker for heartwarming, good for the soul fics so if you want to make yourself hungry and feel all warm and gooey inside, read this!)
(Don't Fear) The Reaper by TeaFourTwo
Ship: Steve/Billy
He looks down at the blood on his hands and on the floor and wonders why the memory hasnât broken yet, why he isnât back in Starcourt mall with control of his body again, wonders if he's even still alive at all. Is this hell then? Or perhaps purgatory? It certainly isnât heaven, thatâs for sure. None of this makes any senseâŠbut then what's newânothing in Billyâs life makes sense anymore.
Billy laughs then, loud and long and unhinged. It's the only sound in the whole house, and it bounces off the walls like a fucked up echo, like the world is laughing with him.
âJesus christ youâre insaneâŠâ Itâs Maxâs voice and itâs shaking. It only makes Billy laugh harder, because Max has it all wrong. Billy isnât crazy, itâs the rest of the world thatâs insane.
--
Billy dies a hero of sorts. He wakes up back in his bed on Saturday morning, the third of November, 1984...nearly nine months earlier.
(Billy is stuck in a time loop and it's slowly driving him crazy. And the fic shows just how much influence Billy did have in the plot and how doomed the world is without him in it. Great character exploration with Billy's character and all the ways he's so messy and human. Definitely recommend it!)

[Knives Out]
The Road Less Traveled By by UisceOneLove
Ship: Marta/Ransom
If Harlan wants to leave Ransom to be on his own, fine. He'll show him just what Ransom Drysdale is capable of.
or, where Ransom chooses to prove his abilities through means of the non-homicidal variety and finds himself becoming exactly what Harlan was hoping he would.
(I found this fic out of sheer chance and god, Ransom is just, so fascinating to me as a character. Marta of course is the Best here and I will forever stan her. Seriously, this is such a good fic! Please read!)
-
[Haikyuu!!]
Sky Full of Stars by grilledsquids
The Hinatas are twins. They're practically identical.
But while Shouyou seeks out Karasuno's volleyball team to become the next Little Giant, Natsu is scouted to to play soccer for Shiratorizawa. While Shouyou sets his eyes on playing volleyball at the highest level possible, his sister wonders how much longer she can play soccer... and if it's worth it to keep going.
A Natsu-centric story featuring: Shiratorizawa VBC shenanigans, too many soccer OCs, mild teenage drama, a little bit of plot, and Semi Eita not knowing what a period is.
(It's just!! So cute and wholesome!!! The Shiratorizawa volleyball team is so fleshed out along with the OC characters for the girl's soccer team and I swear, it's been a long while since I've laughed this much at the sheer shenanigans that happen in a fic. It's surprisingly hard to find good gen fics in this fandom so finding this gem made me so happy! If you want a fic that brings a smile to your face, read this!!)
like water by speakingincode
Ship: Oikawa/Kageyama
âOikawa,â Iwaizumi says, and when Tooru looks at him, he can read My best friendâs an idiot off the crease of his eyebrows. âAre you telling me you spent the last three years weirdly obsessed with Kageyama â I still remember the time you made us play him on a dumb whim, you know â and now youâre at his beck and call? Are you okay? What the hell is wrong with you?â
âIâmâ Iâm not at his beck and call! I said no last week. Itâs⊠Itâs like you said. I get bored easily. I saw him at the park a couple weeks after they played Nationals and called him a perfect little tyrant, and he pestered me into spending time with him after,â Tooru says. âIâm not a monster, Iwa-chan. If he wants the company of his cool, handsome ex-upperclassman that badly, who am I to begrudge him?â
Or: Oikawa doesn't know why Kageyama keeps asking to meet him on Saturdays. He also doesn't know why he keeps saying yes.
(The fact this fic is canon-compliant and covers post-canon too makes me want to shout to the heavens. Fucking incredible! One of the best Oikakage fics ever and it's a crime how it's not at the top of the ship tag. Please please read!!)
twist into your shape by kakkoweeb
Ship: Oikawa/Kageyama
The only thing better than sweets were sweets containing paper that told you whether your future would be good or bad--or in Kageyama and Oikawa's case, paper that somehow caused you to live inside each other's bodies.
(Everyone probably already read this fic but it needs to be said, you need to read this fic. How these two try and manage each other's lives and slowly start to care about one another is so beautiful and sincere and I am ready to wrestle anyone to the floor and comply them into reading this fic. Doesn't matter if you like the ship, you will become a fan if you read it, I promise. Please please read!!)
Take the Long Road Home by pepperfield
Ship: Kuroo/Sawamura
When Azumane Asahi goes missing before his engagement meeting with Kozume Kenma, what other option is there but for Daichi to impersonate his brother and fake his way through a first date with Asahi's fiance?
Okay, let's be realistic - there were probably at least four other options.
Unfortunately, Tetsurou couldn't come up with any of them either, so now he's here flirting with Kenma's future husband while trying to keep his web of deceit from collapsing.
It's going to be an eventful day.
(I got obsessed with this ship alongside Oikakage and SO WILL YOU. THE POTENTIAL. THE BANTER. THE FACT THEY'RE BOTH DORKS AND THE FIC HAS IDENTITY SHENANIGANS DANCING ALL OVER IT!! I had so much fun reading this and these two are MEANT TO BE FENIWPAF. If you don't see the potential of this ship, you will now.)
a misunderstanding a day keeps the boyfriend away by bartallen for betuls
Ship: Kuroo/Sawamura
Kuroo doesnât fall in love hard and fast like many others do â he falls slowly, and very very softly. Most of the times he doesnât even realise heâs in love with someone until itâs too late.
(Kuroo is the dumbest man alive and I've never related to someone so hard in my life. God help me.)
You like me. by roseknight
Ship: Daishou/Kuroo
Kuroo nearly lived a Daishou-free life, and sometimes he looked back and wondered how much better and how much worse that would've been.
(I didn't even know who Daishou was until I read this fic and now I can't unsee the potential this ship has. I'm a ruined woman and I regret NOTHING.)
Kings of the Road, Kings of the Universe by EzzyDean
Eight magical captains, one bus, an entire summer (and country) waiting for them.

ćźżçž : See You Soon by MissKiraBlue
Ship: Oikawa/Kageyama
Upon arriving at the train station of death, an impure soul is granted a second chance at life against his will. Reincarnating into the body of Kageyama Tobio, a 15-year-old boy who recently committed suicide. Tobio's soul will depart at death and the soul needs to slip in to replace it. If the soul's reformation succeeds, heâll reenter the cycle of rebirth and regain the right to be reborn. He will have three months to accomplish this task.
âEven though you had enough of life,â the soul whispered into the void of the room, âyou were still afraid to hurt your hands, Tobio.â
Afraid of giving himself a scar, if he survived.
He touched his pulse and grasped life and couldnât help but pity Kageyama Tobio.
"You wanted to die and now Iâm here making you live again," he whispered into the night.
(I'm not even exaggerating when I say out of all the fics in this entire goddamn, too long list, this is the fic I'm anticipating and heart eyeing the most. It's only starting, but I already cried on chapter fucking 2, the power of this fic, holy shit. The author also wrote the hq time loop Every Tomorrows series, which I have an undying love for and am full on praying for the day it updates, so you KNOW this fic will be just as good. (Anybody who hasn't read this series, where the hell have you been?? Read it!!) Just, everything about this fic hurts me and something in my chest just aches when I read this fic. Go into it blind with an open heart and I swear to you, it's going to change your life. I'm already calling it. Seriously though, please please read!)

Learning to Fly by Asteroid_Duck (JustThatOneGirl1815)
Fandoms: Boku no Hero Academia, Naruto
The number three hero is a walking (well, flying) contradiction in every sense of the word. This includes his teaching skills. Why had Tokoyami agreed to this internship again? Oh right. Heâd thought he was actually going to learn something. âŠâŠ.remind him to never be so optimistic again. . . . OR, Kakashi Hatake is reincarnated as the pro hero, Hawks. Tokoyami Fumikage suffers as a result.
(The reincarnation fic I never thought I needed and it's so good!! I've never really paid attention to Tokoyami and this fic sent me headfirst into loving him. Their dynamic is so interesting and I just love how their relationship develops. Also, Kakashi trolling the poor kid made me cackle, it's great! Definitely recommend it!)

Fandoms: Boku no Hero Academia, John Wick
Everything has a price. That's what John has always known and will forever remember, even in death.
Which is pretty ironic considering his current circumstance.
Instead of a grown, scarred, weary body belonging to a man as cruel and broken as him, he's inhabiting a younger, smaller, unblemished one belonging to a child with strangely colored hair, and is living in what seems to be a superhuman society.
Well. May it never be said that John isn't a strategist. He can live with this. Maybe.
(Somewhere out there in the universe, he's certain he could hear the laughter of his enemies from beyond the grave.)
-
Or: John Wick is reincarnated as Midoriya Izuku. The world should probably watch its back.
(This should be one of the crackiest fics I've read in a while, but it's taken so seriously and I'm so HERE FOR THIS. John Wick being John Wick in a world of quirks and heroes is the GREATEST, honestly, he's so badass. Bakugou, I feel for you, you must be so fucking confused lol. Bakugou trying his best to be a good friend is one of the best things about this fic. Trust me, this fic will make your day, promise!)

Fandoms: Naruto, Fairy Tail
Natsu wakes up in Sakura's body. It only gets worse from there. Also known as: In Which Natsu has No Idea what to do with Boobs.
(I binged this in two fucking days, I couldn't put it down. This fic reminded me why I liked fairy tail when I was younger and why Natsu is honestly such a great protagonist, god. And the fic does that thing, you know, the Thing where when two worlds collide, the characters struggle to acclimate and adapt to a completely another world with different rules and mindsets against their own. This fic is seriously one of the best when it comes to that aspect, it's incredible. I am going absolutely feral over here for this fic to update, I'm waiting in the wings, ready to pounce like a tiger, all the metaphors man. For the love of god, read this fic.)
Give me a landscape made of obstacles by Melise
Fandoms: Naruto, Natsume's Book of Friends
Kakashi Hatake isnât who he says he is.
Because the truth is that heâs actually a youkai in disguise, a wolf spirit named Madara who stumbled across the Hatake clan during the Warring States Period. Intrigued by the shinobi he saw, heâd proposed a temporary alliance in which he would offer the clan protection in exchange for their teachings.
Decades later, Madara is surprised to find himself inadvertently summoned to Konoha by the last living member of the Hatake clan. Sakumo Hatake, who is mourning the recent deaths of his wife and stillborn child, doesnât want to be alone anymore. So with his permission, Madara takes the place of Sakumoâs deceased son in order to watch over the last Hatake.
(Fusion in which the youkai of Natsumeâs Book of Friends all exist in the Naruto world. No knowledge of Natsumeâs Book of Friends required).
(Before this fic, I only had a very vague idea of what Natsume's Book of Friends was, and honestly, I still don't know much about it. But I didn't really need to know to get into this fic. I love the worldbuilding and the relationships Kakashi forms, both supernatural and mortal. I love how Kakashi's inhumane ways affect others around him, whether to stress them out or become used to the strange. You can go straight into this fic without knowing anything and absolutely still have a fantastic time. I definitely recommend this so please read!)

If you donât wanna see these anymore feel free to block the âminâs why you should readâ tag!
- Part of Minâs âWhy You Should Readâ Series -
Summary:
16 year old Chen Xing is the last exorcist in the world with any sort of powers after a time when exorcists were at their peaks came to pass, all exorcists turning back into regular mortals. Guided by his now-deceased shifu, the novel starts with him trying to find his Protector, a partner that all exorcists are fated to have, and is led to the prison of this army camp where his supposed Protector is held captive, about to die.Â
He saves an unkempt and weak Xiang Shu, who then turns on him the moment heâs free, unwilling to be this âProtectorâ that Chen Xing is talking about, and leaves. Chen Xing thinks this is the last of it, but he meets Xiang Shu again by chance in another town, and Xiang Shu saves him from zombie corpses.Â
They head into Chang An together as they are on the way as Chen Xing tries to convince Xiang Shu to be his âProtectorâ in his mission to restore magic and keep demons/evil from people, but Chen Xing only has four years left to complete his mission before heâs fated to die at the age of 20, as prophesized by his shifu. They are also supposed to look for the Dinghai Pearl, which is supposed to bring the bearer great powers and help them in their task.
Xiang Shu turns out to be the Great Chanyu and leader of the Tiele tribe, and after a misunderstanding with the current emperor, he heads back to his tribe with his loyal soldiers/followers and also Chen Xing, where they have to solve the mystery of the dead moving zombie corpses, people being revived from the dead by an unknown mysterious force, and also political strife as Chen Xing and Xiang Shu figure out their feelings for each other as well.Â
Set in historical China where the Hans (Chinese) and the Hus are at war and constantly fighting for territory from each other. Chen Xing would be considered a Han, while Xiang Shu is a Hu.
*Also features time-travel and second chances in the latter half of the book! Thereâs a tad bit of spoilers below as well, so do skip if you wanna avoid them!
Read:
Novel (Online) | Novel (Print) | Novel Translations | Upcoming Donghua | Manhua | Audio Drama
Characters:
1. éæ Chen Xing - A young, wide-eyed 16 year old teen who has the powers of a Heart Lamp, which is a light emitted from his palm that can purify evil spirits/energy. When he was younger, his family was slaughtered due to sabotage from the Yuwen family, not that he knows about it until much later.
Look on the printed novels:
Heâs the last exorcist with powers when the novel starts, and he fails to get Xiang Shu to become his Protector, but while he carries hope that his mission will be completed, he does not force Xiang Shu to become his Protector after the man rejects him twice, even though he knows he only has four years left to live. Because of his Heart Lamp, Chen Xing also has great luck and no matter what danger he falls into, thereâs always a path of escape to safety laid out for him.
Younger look in the manhua:
He heads into Chang An city with Xiang Shu and Feng Qian Jun, and then split because he thinks he can find his old friend whoâs from the Yuwen family, a boy who was his childhood friend and moved away shortly before the Chen family was massacred. He does not know that this boy, now a man, was complicit in the deaths of his family members and is thus not eager to see Chen Xing. Instead, when Chen Xing is escorted to the Yuwen manor by Xiang Shu, heâs crestfallen to see that the man is not at all happy to see him. Later he finds out that Xiang Shu is the Great Chanyu and has considerable status in the palace, and is also single. Once news of Xiang Shuâs return spreads, Chen Xingâs supposed childhood friend becomes one of the potential suitors looking to marry Xiang Shu.
Chen Xing is brought to the Tiele tribe shortly after hell breaks loose, and there heâs met with hostility also by the tribe, of which members are wary at seeing a Han, and also Xiang Shuâs sworn brother, who also has the hots for Xiang Shu. At that moment, Chen Xing realizes that he does not belong anywhere, has no real friends, no family, and is fated to die alone in four years time.
Of course he has feelings for Xiang Shu as the days pass, even though Xiang Shu displays his concern for him in brash ways. He tries to flee and fulfil his mission on his own, but Xiang Shu chases after him every single time, pissed off that Chen Xing keeps leaving him behind. Chen Xing, however, cannot reciprocate his feelings knowing that heâs about to die eventually.
2. éĄčèż° Xiang Shu - Leader of the Tiele tribe and the Great Chanyu, wields considerable military might and commands respect amongst several neighbouring tribes as well. Heâs reluctant to be Chen Xingâs Protector despite seeing his powers, because he has a duty first and foremost to his people in these chaotic, uncertain times, especially when war is imminent anytime. Heâs also pissed off that Chen Xing keeps trying to impose this role of âProtectorâ on him without asking him if he wants to be in the first place, and when Chen Xing realizes this, he stops asking Xiang Shu, and is determined to finish his mission without a Protector.Â
Him as a Chanyu/Leader of Tiele tribe look from the printed novel art:
A great warrior who is looked up to by his tribe members, his past is also shrouded in mystery as he begins to find out just who his mother was, and how he himself contributes to Chen Xingâs mission. Heâs unable to leave Chen Xing alone, always following after him. He always seems to be angry and annoyed at Chen Xing, and in the beginning Chen Xing thinks that Xiang Shu hates him because of the way Xiang Shu interacts with him.Â
Him in Han-style outfit in the manhua:
Xiang Shu finds out early on that Chen Xing doesnât have much longer to live, and is conflicted about it. When they finally find the Dinghai Pearl, he sacrifices himself so Chen Xing can obtain it, confessing to Chen Xing at the very last moment. This is before realizing that the Dinghai Pearl can help Chen Xing to time travel, and after the calamitous current timeline leading to Xiang Shuâs sacrifice, Chen Xing then goes back in time and this time, befriends Xiang Shu properly as heâs given a chance for a do-over to complete his mission.
3. ćŻćć Feng Qian Jun - A swordsman claiming to be an assassin that Chen Xing meets by chance after heâs duped by Xiang Shu in the beginning, and they travel together as theyâre headed in the same direction towards Chang An city. Ends up being a good older bro to Chen Xing and also a helpful ally for Xiang Shu later.
Other Things I Like in the Novel:
Chen Xing picks up a dog after Xiang Shu betrays him in the beginning, after he saves him from deathrow in prison, and in a fit of anger, names the dog Xiang Shu as well, and when he meets human Xiang Shu again, the man keeps glaring at him whenever Chen Xing calls for dog Xiang Shu
Xiang Shu treats Chen Xing very differently, and even though he wasnât sure that he liked Chen Xing, he trusted him, much to the displeasure of other Hus, and some of the other tribesâ members - Heâs not so good at being nice on the surface to Chen Xing given their first impression (and heâs still unhappy about how Chen Xing decided to force the role of the Protector on him, also doesnât have the energy or time to care about Chen Xingâs mission fully considering the trouble his tribe is in), but he does care about Chen Xing and his safety, always finding ways to choose to follow Chen Xing rather than stay to further defend his tribe in times of crisis
The novel also depicts Chen Xingâs loneliness and optimism very well - He keeps the secret of his soon-to-come death to himself, not wanting to make anyone sad when the time comes, and heâs quite open-minded about his death, but at times when he sees the warmth and communal ties of the Tiele tribe, it hurts him to realize that he doesnât have anyone and doesnât belong anywhere
I also like Xiang Shuâs âHuâ look a lot! With the braids and furs and everything!
Chen Xing finds other exorcists (legendary ones that are supposed to be dead apparently) and also exorcist wannabes, who do not have the power but are eager to learn, having heard of the legend of exorcists from before, and they manage to set up an exorcistsâ headquarters of sorts to train more exorcists, which also fulfils Chen Xingâs mission partially
Everyone wants to get into Xiang Shuâs pants. Everyone, I swear

âHow did it go?â Bucky smirks, watching his friend press a hand against his bleeding forehead. âGreat I assume,â the lamp hitting the closed-door answers the mobstersâ question.
âSheâs angry, pissed, and demanding,â Steve huffs, looking at the door. âI will not enter that room again. Not today or like ever.â
âLet me tame this wild little kitten,â self-confident Bucky opens the door to poke his head in. âLook at her, Steve. She sleeps peacefully.â
âI wouldnât count on her being calm and nice. I can tell, sheâs ready to murder you, me, and the whole organization. If not for Peter, I bet she would get a gun to shoot us all,â Steve winces feeling blood run down his neck.
âWhat did you do, Rogers?â Bucky blinks seeing Steveâs cheeks flush pink. âYou couldnât keep your dirty hands to yourself. No wonder she wanted to kill you with a lamp.â
âA Tiffany lamp, the one my mother gifted to me,â grumbling Steve points toward you on the bed. âY/N Y/L/N is an angry mother bear, ready to attack when you get to close.â
âRather when you try to touch her goods,â pissed Steve storms off, not caring if you kill his friend and partner in crime.
âDoll?â sneaking toward the bed, eying the lamp on the bed warily Bucky calls your name. âY/N, darling I need to talk to you about a few rules. Can you not throw a lamp at me?â
âHe deserved getting hurt!â You grumble, hiding underneath the blanket. âBastard tried to touch my private parts,â snickering Bucky crawls onto the bed, aware you grasp for the lamp.
âHe tried to touch our girl, doll. Donât be such a prude. We both know you came so hard on our cocks that night,â Bucky purrs, glancing at your ass sticking out of the blanket. âI could fill you so good.â
âIs that what you want? Coming to this room to rape me?â Dumbfounded Bucky gasps when you wield the lamp in front of his face. âI agreed to come here to save Peterâs life, not to let you touch me.â
âI thought you know we want our girl back, including nakedness,â not giving in the mobster moves closer to touch your cheek but the lamp hitting his shoulder is not what he imagined would happen. âDoll, we just want you to be ours.â
âI donât care,â you poke Buckyâs chest with the lamp, angrily clenching your jaw. âI wanted to give my innocence to someone loving and adoring me. Not to two guys who used me, took turns only to kick me out of their house like a random whore they can use. The only thing you forgot to do was paying me for my service.â
âWe never pay for sex but youâve got a point there, doll,â Bucky admits. âListen, we are bad guys, okay. Bad attitude. Bad reputation. Rotten to the core.â
âYou couldâve just left me alone. I had a nice life, you know. No one was paying attention to me but that was fine. I just wanted everyone to leave me alone,â you sniff, hiding your face in the cushions.
âDoll, I must admit at first, we liked the chase. But after the first rush subsided, I didnât feel good for the first time. I kinda missed you,â you snort, closing your eyes. âWe didnât send Peter to have an eye on you for no reason. We wanted to know how you are doing and if he can find a weak spot to make you fall for us again.â
âFuck off, Barnes,â you want to hit him with the lamp again, but Bucky is faster. Taking it out of your hand he throws it over his shoulder. âThat was granny Roger's second Tiffany lamp.â
âIâll take the blame,â Bucky smirks when you nod eagerly. âI know you do not have any reason to believe me, us, but we tried to win you over by using Peter.â
ââŠthatâs the reason you wanted to fuck my colleagues. This must be the stupidest and lamest lie I ever heard. Call my parents, they can give you advice on how to lie to me,â voice thin now you sit on the bed, covering your bump.
âI heard about your parents, doll,â the mobster sits next to you, glancing at the bump you try to hide. âI promise, none one will touch you against your will. Steve and I are bastards, but we are not the kind of guys forcing ourselves on a girl.â
âWhat do you want from me? Iâm no one special to you or anyone else. Canât you just let me go back to my apartment?â Pleadingly looking at Bucky you sigh deeply. âPlease?â
âWe got a deal, doll,â Steve clears his throat, warily watching your hands ball into fists. âIâm sorry for touching you but the babies, they are ours, just like you. If one of our enemies gets to know you are our girl, they will hurt you.â
âI hate you,â a huff later Steve sits onto the bed, handing you a manila folder. âWhatâs that?â
âPictures of Peter and his treatment. Heâs doing better, his arm is fine,â you donât like the way Steve looks at the pictures. âFor now.â
âCan you for once not threaten someone? I like Peter, stop hurting him to get to me,â sniffling you close the folder, clutching it to your chest. âHeâs a nice guy.â
âDid you fuck him?â Buckyâs voice raises when he must watch you hold the pictures to your chest. âThe boy is dead.â
âUnlike you, I do not fuck anyone coming to my path. Peter is a friend and a boy. Jesus, I donât think heâs at age. The boy is like my brothâŠ,â your eyes water at the memory of your little brother.
Steve nods at his friend, not missing the way you cling to the pictures. âYou miss your little brother.â
âI guess I like Peter as I imagined my little brother would be like him one day. A bit shy, but smart. Strong if he needs to and protective. He tries to make the best out of a bad situation,â Bucky nods, understanding how you feel.
âI had a younger sister,â the mobster moves closer to place one hand onto your belly, slowly rubbing it. âRebecca, but everyone called her Becca.â
Buckyâs eyes sadden when you try to shove his hands off your baby bump. âWhere is she?â
âDied years ago. Itâs been ages since I talked about her,â you can see tears form in Buckyâs eyes and for the first time, you wonder if he can love someone. âMy father, he was a notorious mobster, hard, unforgiving. When he crossed another line, my mother and sister paid the price.â
You gasp, clasping one hand over your mouth. Suddenly too aware of what could happen to your babies you look at Steve. âHeâs telling the truth, Y/N. One day after his mother and Becca left church on Sunday they got shot. A drive-by.â
âThatâs awful. Did they ever find the murderer?â Bucky nods, giving your thigh a tight squeeze. âYour father, he killed them.â
âIt was a massacre. People still talk about it behind closed doors. After my father was done, Steveâs father, Joseph had to stop him. This is how we ended up uniting the empires our grandfathers founded.â
âBuckyâs father, he didnât stop until his bloodthirst was satisfied. My father stepped in as George, Buckyâs dad was close to starting another killing spree,â you're horrified at Steveâs explanations. Your hands tremble and you feel like you are going to pass out any minute.
âDoll you need to take deep breaths,â Bucky brings you into his arms before you can fall out of the bed. âNo more horror stories, Steven. Our girl just passed out,â Steve hums, moving his hand to your belly. âNo touching without her consent.â
âI wanted to feel my babyâŠâ
âPrenatal what?â Steve looks at the brochure the doctor hands to him. âI got no clue about this stuff, Dr. Cho. Can you explain it to us?â
âIt means we will find out who the father is before Y/N gives birth,â Helen Cho, explains. âI can explain the whole procedure if you want me to.â
âIs it dangerous?â Bucky looks at your belly, not wanting anything to happen to his heir. âWe will not risk anything. Y/N must agree too.â
âThere is no risk, Mr. Barnes,â you chuckle, watching Steve turn pale when the doctor gets a syringe out.Â
âYou will not put that into my girl,â protesting Steve tries to grasp for the syringe. âI will not allow you to poke her,â Peter snickers silently glancing at you now and then, or rather anytime none of the mobsters is paying attention to him.
âMr. Rogers, I need to collect DNA from the mother with a simple blood draw. Later we will gather you and Mr. Barnes DNA using a cheek swab. I will not hurt Y/N or her babies,â the mobster eyes Dr. Cho warily, not trusting her with his baby.
âGosh, donât get your panties in a twist, Rogers. Months ago, you treated me like trash, tossed me onto the street, and never looked back. Do not act as if I mean anything to you. Iâm a breeder to you and your friend, nothing else,â you donât hide your anger, even purse your lips when Steve tries to argue.Â
âShe could hurt you with that syringe or the babies. What if she tries to kill you?â you roll your eyes in an attempt to stop Steve from saying more stupid things in front of your doctor.
âIâm the mother ans got three votes, you only got one. I have the saying,â looking at Dr. Cho you nod. âDo it doctor. I trust you.â
âI have a vote too,â Bucky grumbles, stepping closer to you. âThis makes two against three.â
âYeah, Iâm glad you can count, Barnes but Iâm still the mother and got three votes. Now shush and let me handle this,â the mobsters do not like you start acting like a brat, but you are determined to show them you are in charge.
âHow long will you keep it to yourself? I want to know about the results too,â Steve grasps for the envelope but you slap his hand away. âDoll, let me have a look.â
âI want to talk about a few rules,â Bucky grunts, tugging at the envelope you hold in your hands. âY/N, give me the goddamn envelope.â
âFirst, Peter will be my personal bodyguard. No more threats or Iâll be gone, just like my babies,â jaw tense Steve looks at you, close to just taking the envelope out of your hands.
âFine. One false step and heâs dead,â you narrow your eyes, at Bucky who suddenly starts to sweat. âNo more threats got it.â
âNext, no touching or groping. Iâm not your toy,â Steve sighs, ogling your growing cleavage longingly. âI would kill to suckle at those tits.â
âI donât care and âŠgross,â you slowly open the envelope, checking on the results. âSo, if you want to know who will become a father in five months youâll give me your word that I will be safe here, just like my kids.â
âPromised, no tricks,â Bucky points toward the piece of paper in your hands, licking his lips. âTell us now doll.â
âIâm not done,â grinning you stuff the letter into your bra, not caring Steve starts to growl. âYou will not play your sick games with any girl again. You are mine now, which means no sex with other women.â
âWaitâŠyou donât want us to touch you,â Steve points out, hating you grin devilish. âYou canât be serious!â
âNo sex for you at all,â both mobsters do not like your conditions but threatening a pregnant girl is not their style. âI want enough money for me and my children. Peter will not do anything illegal again. You will not go out with other chicks, this includes sex.âÂ
Whilst both men crowd you like lions ready to pounce on their prey you hold their gaze. âWe have a few rules too.â Steve purrs, dipping one knee into the mattress.
âYou will stay here. We will sleep in the bedroom we prepared, together. No other guys, no sex with other guys. The babies are ours, just like you. No leaving us,â you pinch the bridge of your nose, a frown on your face.
âNo sex,â you cross your arms over your chest. âI mean itâŠâ
âNegotiable, doll,â Bucky joins his friend onto the bed, looking at you hungrily. âNow be good and give me the letter.â
âI donât think so, Barnes,â you scramble away, squealing when Bucky flips your over, covering your body to slip his hand into your bra.Â
âWhere is the letter?â Bucky grunts. âDoll, Iâm losing my patience here.â
âI will tell you the results if you sign the contract Peter prepared for me,â you smirk at Steve. âI told you heâs shy but smart. Now be good little daddies and sign it. If you do so, Iâll stay and tell you about the resultsâŠâ
âI fucking hate you,â Bucky mutters, pacing around the new bedroom. You are unimpressed. Legs crossed you relax on the soft mattress a smug grin on your lips. âYouâll get half of my money if I dare to cheat on you?â
âCorrect.â
âSame goes for me, Buck,â Steve is still fuming. He had to sign a contract handing you his balls on a silver plate.Â
âAs you were such good daddies,â you coo, lips curved into a grin. âIâll tell you about the results.â Both men sit onto the bed, leaning closer to glance at your belly.
âTell usâŠâ Bucky places one hand onto your belly, rubbing it slowly. âPlease, doll. Stop torturing us.â
âAccording to Doctor Cho Iâm going to be a mother,â you snicker, turning around to close your eyes. âIâm too tired now. Maybe tomorrow Iâll tell you more. Now be good and stop moping. Youâll learn your placeâŠâ
âLearn our place?â Bucky chokes out, looking at Steve. âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
âOh-pretty mobster,â you open your eyes, grinning wickedly. âDid no one ever tell you to never underestimate a pregnant girl? Youâll do anything I want you to do when I want you to do soâŠâ

Securing Sect Leader Jin Chapter 3
Chapter 3 - Before securing Sect Leader Jin, you must first secure your shidi/shixiong. Part 2
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13926514/3/Securing-Sect-Leader-Jin
At some point, it had started raining. The sound on the rooftop would normally lull him back to sleep, but the only thing he could hear at the moment was--
I would have done anything for you to live âŠ
Jiang Cheng sucked in a sharp breath.
The words pierced him like Wen Qingâs needles must have.
Wasnât⊠wasnât that his own thought when heâd led the Wens away from Wei Wuxian? It didnât matter what happened to him, heâd just needed Wei Wuxian to live. He had fully expected to die that day. All he knew was that he wouldnât.. couldnât let them take Wei Wuxian. And now⊠now he couldnât ever tell him about that. He wouldnât.
Because it would break Wei Wuxianâs heart.
If he ever found out that he was the reason for Jiang Cheng being tortured and losing his coreâŠ.
No.
Wei Wuxian would never know. Better to let him think he went back for his parentsâ bodies to be filial. He wouldnât blame himself then. And of all the things Jiang Cheng blamed him for and wanted him to acknowledge and apologise for⊠that was definitely not one of them.
Stupid he wanted to say. And did you ever think about what you would do afterwards? How would you have explained to me where your cultivation went? If you hadnât been caught and thrown into the burial mounds, you would have had no demonic cultivation to fall back on. What would you have done then? He wanted to shake Wei Wuxian for his complete lack of thought about himself. It was always this way with him. Playing the hero for everyone, not caring about the consequences. Not caring about himself and what could happen to him.
But how could he? How could he when he did the same? How could he when they felt the same way?
He cradled the back of Wei Wuxianâs head for a second then pulled him away from where he was tucked into Jiang Chengâs neck to make him face him. His eyes were red and swollen from all the crying, tears still sporadically making their way down his face.
Jiang Cheng exhaled tiredly, leaning his forehead against Wei Wuxianâs and closing his eyes tightly.
âYou...â he said weakly. His own eyes were starting to well up.
âI know youâre angry with me,â Wei Wuxian mumbled wetly, âI donât blame you.â
He wanted to hide his face again but Jiang Chengâs hand was on his nape, keeping him right where he was.
âIâm not sorry for doing it,â he said in a fit of bravery, âIt was the only way I found to help you. But Iâm sorry that you didnât hear about it from me. I just⊠I didnât want to hurt you.â âA-Cheng,â he said brokenly, âIâm sorry I hurt you.â He felt Jiang Chengâs hand tremble and he raised his own hands to cup his shidiâs cheeks, once again wiping tears from it.
His voice was soft and melancholic. âFor all the times I hurt you. Iâm sorry. It was the last thing I wanted to do. And if you had to find out about the core it should have been from me. It wasnât Wen Ningâs place to say it. I should have told you myself.â
Jiang Cheng barely contained a whimper. He couldnât open his eyes to meet Wei Wuxianâs or he would surely break down too. Theyâd never talked to each other like this beforeâŠtheyâd never even addressed each other so familiarly (both would rather say it to Yanli than to each otherâs faces). But it felt necessary. It felt right. After everything theyâd been through, didnât they deserve to have someone to be familiar with? The only one he had left in the world was Jin Ling. And who did Wei Wuxian have? A displaced soul and a donkey? It felt wrong that Wei Wuxian, whoâd been the life of every place heâd ever been to, should be left to travel the world all alone.
âA-XianâŠâ he whispered hoarsely.
At Wei Wuxianâs surprised intake of breath, he finally opened his eyes. Wei Wuxianâs eyes were blown wide and he looked amazed and astounded at the same time.
âA-XianâŠâ he slowly raised his hand to rest it on top of the one Wei Wuxian still had on his cheek.
âIâm sorry too.â
Wei Wuxian made a strangled noise.
âI should have done more. Something. Anything...â he started, but Wei Wuxian covered his mouth with his free hand and spoke before he could get annoyed.
âNo,â Wei Wuxian shook his head, a stern look replacing the previous shock. Removing his hand before Jiang Cheng could pull a teenaged Wei Wuxianâs move of licking the offending limb, he continued, âI never wanted to drag the sect down with me. You couldnât have done anything to help without ruining everything that youâd worked so hard to build up to that point. You know Iâm right.â âA-Cheng, I gave up my core because I wanted to see you succeed. How could I drag the sect through the mud when you were just starting to be acknowledged? You might have been able to protect me but you couldnât protect them. And I needed to protect them. I owed them for helping me. The sect was in a precarious position. You couldnât have helped. It was true then and itâs even more so now that we know what the Jins were up to; even if I had gone home with you and abandoned them, it was only a matter of time before theyâd have found some pretext to get to me or the sect for the seal anyway. You said...â he paused, sorrow lining his face again, âYou said that I should accept that...that⊠you and shijie chose to⊠to jump⊠to p..protect me.â He still couldnât quite get those words out fully.
âWell I chose to protect the sect in the only way I knew how. By not dragging you down with me. Iâve never blamed you for putting the sect first. It was your duty. I wanted you to do it. I pushed you away so you could focus on the sect.â
Jiang Cheng frowned. âFine. I wonât apologise for that then. But I... You know I tried to protect you. But you said you didnât need anyone to speak for you. And you wouldnât leave them. Now I know why.â
He shifted his gaze to look at a point over Wei Wuxianâs shoulder rather than directly into his eyes. This was too much vulnerability for him already. âSo regardless, Iâm sorry. I wish I could have protected you.â
Wei Wuxianâs heart swelled with a light feeling. It felt like a weight he didnât even know he was carrying was being lifted from his chest. He was indeed the one who wanted the Jiang Sect to denounce him so they wouldnât get the backlash from his actions. He did tell Jiang Cheng he didnât need him to protect him. But being free of the sealâs influence and in a relatively stable state of mind nowâŠ. He was happy that Jiang Cheng wanted to. That heâd tried.
âYou said it wasnât Wen Ningâs place to tell me and it wasnât. But I needed to know. After the war I thought you didnât care anymore. You were always drinking and playing around instead of being by my side for meetings or anything else. You idiot, why didnât you come up with a better lie huh?â He actually grasped Wei Wuxianâs shoulders this time but didnât quite manage to shake him. His reddened eyes watered and Wei Wuxian was about to apologise again but Jiang Cheng cut him off before he could, in a thin agonised voice. âYou could have said that... Why didnât you at least blame the Core-Melting Hand? It would have made sense. You could have said something...anything! You let me think you were fine and playing the fool. Of all people, donât you think I would have understood what it was like without one?â His voice had gotten close to a whisper.
Wei Wuxian gave a mirthless laugh. âAnd if I had, wouldnât you have wanted to take me back to Baoshan Sanren? And if Iâd said it was one chance only to get it restored then wouldnât you have felt terrible that you used it up? How could I say it to you without hurting you A-Cheng?â
âSo what if I would have felt bad!? At least I would have known that you were hurt, you fool!â he burst out, âAnd when you wanted to pretend to defect, I wouldnât have stabbed you like that! You always pretend everything is fine up until it very obviously isnât. But by then itâs often too late to turn back. I didnât believe Jin Guangshanâs blatant lies about all those supposedly innocent Jin cultivators you had Wen Ning kill in Jinlin Tai. It was fairly obvious after they ambushed you in the first place that it was a set-up. You wouldnât have done anything like that without a reason.â
âBut when A-Jie died... I blamed you. You said you could control the demonic cultivation and then you didnât. You lost control and A-jie was dead, struck down first by one of your corpses and finished by someone who wanted revenge on you. I was so angry with you. Then some barmy old Sect Leader openly blamed you for A-Die and A-Niang and A-Jieâs deaths right next to that insufferable Sect Leader Yao who didnât even care that the boy you killed had just murdered A-Jie. Let go of him my ass. If you hadnât killed him I would have. But then you lost it totally and killed hundreds of people. And the mob looked to me; everyone expected me to go with Jin Guangshan to lead the charge. Who else was wronged by you more than the Jiang and Jin they asked?â his voice cracked, âWhat was I supposed to do? Tell me. What should I have done?â
And that more than anything reminded him of the last time he saw his friends. He hadnât had any memory of reaching back to the Demon Slaughtering Cave after he accidentally killed his shijieâs husband⊠but he distinctly remembers the feeling of pure devastation when he came to himself. What am I supposed to do now? he had cried. And Wen Ning and Wen Qing had answered him by taking the initiative...theyâd paralysed him and walked straight to their deaths.
What should I do?
He remembered the feeling well. The hopelessness. The hysteria.
He had gone on to Nightless City and there his shijie had died and the last shred of sanity heâd been clinging to at that point was gone... he had started a massacre because if it was a monster they wanted it was a monster theyâd get.
He was so far gone heâd had no idea how he made it out of the battle unscathed (until Zewu-Jun clued him in).
What should I have done? Jiang Cheng was asking him. He knew what Jiang Cheng did do. Or partially at least. Jiang Cheng and the others had stormed into the Burial Mounds⊠Well he remembered nothing but the pain of being ripped apart. He couldnât say who killed who though by the end all the Wens were dead, all he knew was that his shidiâs face was the last thing he saw before being engulfed by his own corpses. So what should Jiang Cheng have done other than to go after the man everyone thought responsible for Yunmeng Jiangâs problems? What should he have done as the last Jiang standing?
Nothing. There was nothing he could do but go along the path that destiny set for them. He had to keep his sect safe and avenge his sister. In his grief, what could he really have done? Because what Wei Wuxian did in his grief, he regretted bitterly till this day. And so did Jiang Cheng it seemed, whose tears were being freely shed and who was looking at him with an expression of desolation that pained him to see.
âThere was nothing different you could do shidi. But itâs okay,âWei Wuxian said, âIâve never blamed you for it. It was my fault.â
âNo! It wasnât!â
âA-Xian. It wasnât your fault. Not all of it. You certainly didnât help matters but the blame canât lie solely on your head. Didnât you say you wouldnât shoulder what you didnât do? So why are you taking responsibility for everything again?â
Wei Wuxian couldnât believe Jiang Cheng remembered what heâd said at the second siege. (Jiang Cheng would scoff at him if he knew... He was the one with the bad memory. When did Jiang Cheng ever forget things that Wei Wuxian said?)
Jiang Cheng had told him that it was difficult to save someone but there were a thousand ways to hurt them. In the end he was proven right wasnât he? He wished he wasnât but he was. Wei Wuxian had never listened to him (though now he understood why he didnât in this instance). Theyâd all paid the price.
Jiang Cheng laughed, sounding just on the edge of hysterical, âThe cultivation world is always looking for a scapegoat. It just happened to be you then. Now itâs Jin Guangyao⊠look how quick they were to turn against him. Theyâre waiting to pounce on anyone who steps out of line again.â
Well that was a conclusion heâd come to himself actually. He hadnât liked how quick they were to believe the worst of a man theyâd lauded up till that point. He had been the one to have to question why the women bothered to come forward only then. Theyâd been so quick to latch on to tales of Jin Guangyaoâs degeneracy. The cultivation world was always just waiting for an opportunity to bring him down. Though Jiang Cheng had spent a long time questioning the women before bringing them to talk to the assembly, so at least his shidi hadnât just taken their word for it. But then, Jiang Cheng would have been well aware of how insidious rumours were, especially with no proof. The rest of them didnât care. They hadnât been affected after all.
Wei Wuxian sighed, âWell, now that Nie Huaisang is Chief Cultivator we can only hope heâll stop anything like that again before it gets too far. That manâs information network must be amazing.â
Jiang Cheng shook his head and said self-deprecatingly, âI never imagined that Nie Huaisang would be the one to figure out everything. I was so blind. And Jin Ling was in that manâs care for so long. He was close to him. Lianfang-Zunâs betrayal broke his heart.â
âOh shidi, you couldnât have known. How would you? He was an expert at manipulation. Even I would never have suspected Jin Guangyao of all of this if it wasnât for Huaisangâs machinations.â
Jiang Cheng was silent for a moment, his eyes roaming over Wei Wuxianâs face. Wei Wuxian wondered what he was seeing.
âWasâŠâ he raised his hand after a moment and tentatively touched Wei Wuxianâs face, âDo you think he planned for Mo Xuanyu to sacrifice his body to bring you back?â He was running a thumb over that unfamiliar face, knowing that the soul belonged to Wei Wuxian, but wondering about Mo Xuanyu, who had sacrificed his life for it to happen.
Wei Wuxian frowned slightly. âThat I donât know. I can only surmise that Mo Xuanyu found the ritual and planned to do it. Whether Huaisang pushed him into it or simply gave him advice... I canât say for sure. But what I can say is that Huaisang knew he would do it. Because Nie Mingjueâs arm was let loose on the same night and made its way to Mo Manor. Regardless of whether he had a hand in it or not, he certainly made use of the opportunity.â
âI want to be mad at him,â Jiang Cheng said sadly, âHe knew everything yet he let Jin Guangyao get away with it for years. He wanted to completely ruin his reputation rather than just getting rid of him. He let Jin Guangyao get away with many horrible things while plotting his revenge. ButâŠâ
âBut?â
âBut if it wasnât for him and Mo Xuanyu⊠youâd probably never have come back,â he said, not meeting Wei Wuxianâs eyes.
âSh..shidi,â he said, heart suddenly warm, âI thought you didnât.. Werenât you hunting demonic cultivators looking for me?â
âOf course I was looking for you, you idiot,â he rolled his eyes, âDo you know how many of them were using your name to do horrible things? And with the way you died, who wouldnât expect your soul to be building resentment? How could you reincarnate if you were stuck here as a malignant spirit? Someone had to free your soul if it was in fact you.â
âWho else was going to care about releasing the Yiling Patriarchâs spirit? They would have eliminated* you on the spot! People tried to summon you, you know. Nobody could find a trace of your soul. They said⊠they said it was ripped apart and destroyed,â his voice wobbled slightly.
Wei Wuxian was struck dumb. Everyone said it was because Sandu Shengshou hated the Yiling Patriarch. And he himself believed it. But the first thing Jiang Cheng did when thinking he was possessing Mo Xuanyu was to hit him with Zidian, which would have expelled any malicious spirit. It.. Jiang Cheng was right. Heâd been dead. Nobody expected to find him alive. They wouldnât have been looking for him, they'd be looking for his ghost. And 13 years later only two** parties were still interested in finding his soul⊠demonic cultivators and Sandu Shengshou (and well apparently the Mo Xuanyu-Nie Huaisang duo but that was a different storyâŠ).
âA-Cheng.â
âWhat?â
âI⊠I died.â
Jiang Cheng gave him a look that said well yes, thatâs been established.
But.. for the first time Wei Wuxian was actually letting that fact sink in.
He had died.
âYouâre shaking!â
âA-Cheng.â He really was trembling.
âI was dead,â he looked shattered.
âI died.â
He didnât cry but his throat seized up and heâd not managed to stifle a grief-stricken whimper.
And it was grief. Grief for the life heâd had and lost. For what could have been as opposed to what was. He hadnât truly processed what had happened to him, not really. Heâd acknowledged it in the vague way that one might simply repeat a fact but he hadnât let himself feel it before.
For the first time that night, Jiang Cheng initiated an embrace. âI know,â he said somberly, holding Wei Wuxianâs shaking body close.
âBelieve me, I know.â
The anguish in his voice had Wei Wuxian clinging tightly to him. Jiang Cheng hugged him just as hard. It was a comfort to them both. Things between them were so complicated, so tied up in knots that he hadnât had a hope of untangling their relationship. So he hadnât even tried. Heâd resolved to just put everything behind him and move on and he advised Jiang Cheng to do the same. But moving on wasnât an easy task when you had unresolved trauma. It was more like he was compartmentalising rather than actually healing.
Jiang Cheng just held him silently, making soothing motions on his back until he had sorted out his thoughts and stopped shaking. âYouâre back now,â he said looking at Wei Wuxian intently, âThanks to Nie Huaisang and Mo Xuanyu you have a second chance. And now at least you have a core again so you can cultivate. Jin Ling had said Mo Xuanyu was training in Jinlin Tai before getting kicked out, not so?â
He laughed somewhat shakily, âItâs a small meagre little thing. Mo Xuanyu really was pitiful. Itâs certainly not enough to wield Suibian again, which I could do at fifteen.â
âItâs fine if itâs small as long as itâs there,â Jiang Cheng said softly, âIt can be grown if you practice. Suibian is waiting for you.â
âMm ChengCheng, have you been taking good care of my Suibian? Chenqing was shiny and so well tuned, Suibian will get jealous~â he joked.
He snorted and teased, âWhat do you mean yours? Wen Ning gave it to me, it's mine now. Of course Iâll take good care of it.â
âIt wasnât his! He canât give it away!â Wei Wuxian pouted, âIâll be having words with him when he gets back!â
Jiang Chengâs expression shifted.
âHey,â Wei Wuxian said softly, sensing the change in mood, âWhatâs wrong?â
Jiang Cheng just shook his head.
âAre you.. Are you upset because he went to Qishan?â
Jiang Cheng sighed and said nothing for a minute, but eventually said, âI canât be upset with him for that. Itâs his duty to his family after all.â âThen whatâs wrong? Is it because of that night when he gave you Suibian? He never told me what he said to you...â
Jiang Cheng laughed bitterly, âDonât worry about that. Other than telling me about the transfer, he didnât say anything I didnât hear before. Just that I should have known that I would never have been able to equal you. Whatâs new there? It isnât anything my own parents didnât imply. He was right, I should have known.â
Wei Wuxianâs face went dark. âNo he wasnât! Your parents werenât right either. And anyway, Iâm the one who doesnât equal you now.â Wei Wuxian hadnât known what exactly Wen Ning had said but if he had he wouldâve definitely had something to say about it. He kept this secret so as not to hurt his shidi and Wen Ning ended up stabbing him where it hurt the most anyway. (Though he knew he had a big part to play in their falling out in the ancestral hall. But heâd have to apologise for that another day. They seemed to be making progress but with all those misunderstandings between them one night certainly wasnât enough to resolve everything.)
All their life since heâd been at Lotus Pier theyâd been compared, Madame Yu scolding Jiang Cheng to do better than him and Uncle Jiang just giving his patented disappointed-in-JC-why-canât-you-be-like-wei-ying spiel. Jiang Cheng was never that much weaker than him anyway. He had his own strengths and merits. His personality was never the easiest but it didnât mean that he couldnât be just as good as Wei Ying in cultivation.
Things just came easier to Wei Wuxian, thatâs all. Heâd tried to make him see that there wasnât only one way to be a Jiang but what could his words do in the face of a parentâs disapproval? He hated being the reason for Jiang Cheng to be criticised by his parents. And now he had to find out that his friend had gone and done the same thing they did to his shidi; he put Jiang Cheng down because of Wei Wuxian. The exact thing he feared when he thought of Jiang Cheng finding out, had happened...and it wasn't simply brought on by his shidiâs insecurities, it was thrown in his face. Suffice to say, Wei Wuxian was not pleased.
âOh donât look like that,â Jiang Cheng said upon seeing Wei Wuxianâs black expression, âYouâll give Mo Xuanyuâs face premature wrinkles; his core isnât strong enough yet to prevent them.â Jiang Cheng poked at the furrow in between his brows causing him to pout again. âIt happened a while ago, Iâve had time to accept it. It wasnât his place but he did it in his attempt to protect you. Shouting at me was probably a bonus. He has to resent me after all. His family killed mine and then I co-led the siege that killed his. We both have reasons to dislike each other. He had an opportunity to let loose on me and he took it. We both just ignore each other for the most part now. He protected Jin Ling so Iâll let it be. Besides, Iâm not surprised he got angry on your behalf and not his own. He always did admire you a lot.â He tried to say it nonchalantly but it was clear that he wasnât unaffected.
Wei Wuxian sighed, âFine, Iâll let it go. But if it isnât that, then whatâs bothering you? Donât say itâs nothing, you got quiet earlier too when I told you about his trip.â
Jiang Cheng couldnât meet his eyes. âI know what itâs like to be the last one standing,â he said finally, âTo have to mourn your family alone.â If Wei Wuxian werenât so close up in his space, he probably would not have heard him over the still pouring rain.
âTo want to lay them to rest but not have a body left to bury,â he continued, as he shot a forlorn look at Wei Wuxian whose heart clenched painfully.
âYou identify with him,â he whispered.
Jiang Cheng said nothing but his face reddened slightly.
âShidiâŠâ
âWhat?â he snapped, âIâm not heartless. The Wens are gone and though heâs dead he still lingers here. Without anyone. Heâs stuck here, unable to enter the reincarnation cycle to be with them. What is he going to do after burying their ashes? Follow Jin Ling around forever or until he assuages his guilt?â
âHeâs by himself. Heâs the only one left. I know how it feels. If it wasnât for A-Ling I donât even know how I would have made it,â he admitted, âI may not particularly care for The Ghost General but heâs lost everything too, including his literal life. And after all this I just wonder if it wouldnât be kinder to ask him if heâd like to be at rest. What does he have remaining to tie him here? I donât for a moment doubt that in the future he will realise these things and it will hurt. He might stick around for your sake but loneliness can be a more potent poison than anything else.â
Jiang Cheng didnât mean the words to be sharp but they cut him nonetheless. After all, they could apply to himself just as easily. His shidi must have seen something in his face because he softened.
âDonât make that face. You still have places you can go. He canât fit in so easily. I heard Master Lan punishes the Lan juniors for even associating with him. A-Ling seems to have forgiven him but he certainly canât show up in Koi Tower even if A-Ling allows him. And if people knew he was frequenting Qishan what do you think theyâd say? Maybe the mob will rise up again. He might seem fine now but itâs bound to wear a person down eventually.â
âI never thought Iâd see the day that you were concerned for Wen Ning,â Wei Wuxian said wonderingly.
Jiang Cheng sputtered. âWhoâs concerned? Iâm just saying!â
âMhm and this has nothing to do with you and Wen Ning spending time together behind those bushes eh?â he snickered.
Jiang Chengâs jaw dropped in disbelief. âYou!â He pounced on him, hooking his arm around Wei Wuxianâs neck and rubbing his knuckles on his head painfully.
âAhh noo not the noogie!!â Wei Wuxian whined, âMercy! đ A-Cheeeng.â
âYou want mercy but you can never control that mouth of yours,â Jiang Cheng said, letting him go after thoroughly messing up his hair.
Wei Wuxian rubbed his sore head and fixed his hair again, pretending to be insulted.
That just earned him a flick to the forehead and he pouted again.
But after a minute he became serious. âIâm not so different from Wen Ning now,â he admitted, âThe whole worldâs moved on without me. I donât have a place here anymore, not really. And youâre not my shidi anymore are you?â He laughed without humor. âYouâre Sect Leader Jiang now. I mean obviously you have been since after the war but⊠I wasnât really ever there to see it was I?â
âNo. You werenât,â Jiang Cheng agreed solemnly. Wei Wuxian had been too busy drinking his pain away before he saved the remaining Wen cultivators. And then well, it snowballed from there until his death. And Jiang Cheng had had no choice but to grow without him. He wasnât a naive little boy anymore. He understood now that his shixiong did not in fact have all the answers. That Wei Wuxian could not uphold all the promises he made as a youth. It hurt having to accept it. But he did accept it. He was an old man now, jaded by years of political struggles and grappling with his personal demons. He understood what it was like to be all alone in the world but to have to carry on anyway. And Wei Wuxian had been unceremoniously pulled back from the dead to carry out someone elseâs revenge plot then tossed aside when it was complete. It was a little too cruel wasnât it?
He cleared his throat, âYou werenât there to see it then, but it doesnât mean you canât be now.â
Wei Wuxianâs heart raced. Eyes widening he looked up at JC barely daring to hope.
âJiang Cheng⊠are you saying what I think youâre saying?â
Jiang Cheng grunted, âIâm saying do whatever you want. Go travel with your ugly donkey if thatâs what suits you. But thereâll always be a place for you at Lotus Pier. â
âHey! No need to insult Lil Apple!â he feigned indignance.
âThatâs what you took out of that?â Jiang Cheng said incredulously.
âWellâŠâ fresh tears sprung to his eyes. He never thought heâd be welcome in Lotus Pier again.
âAhh alright alright, stop that now, your eyeballs will fall out with all this crying,â Jiang Cheng said uncomfortably. His quota for vulnerability was reaching its limit.
Wei Wuxian laughed wetly and finally moved out of his space, propping himself up next to Jiang Cheng again and leaning on his shoulder.
âJiang Cheng, thank you.â
âShut up, what are you thanking me for? Just donât be a strangerâŠâ
âOkay,â he said timidly.
Things seemed to be settled between them, much better than it was before at least. And now he was less worried about Jiang Chengâs reaction, though a sliver of doubt was still there, but he felt like it needed to be said. Because he was so proud of that little boy he rescued who managed to grow into a fine young adult. He couldnât help but want to share. But also Jiang Cheng had, in his roundabout way, been concerned about Wen Ningâs own isolation even though he hated him (and Wei Wuxian was pretty sure even though they tolerated each other that it was for Jin Lingâs sake and not because any feelings changed.) So he steeled himself, hoping he was making the right decision.
âJiang Cheng⊠Wen Ning he..â he paused.
âWhat about him? If youâre about to ask for him to come to Lotus Pier too, donât. I donât know if Iâll ever be ready for that.â
âNo.,â he shook his head, âItâs just.. He didnât go to make the memorial alone, you knowâŠâ
Jiang Cheng was surprised. âWho would go with him to do that?â It was a very personal journey. And most cultivators did not like going to Qishan if they could help it. And The Ghost General didnât exactly have friends other than his erstwhile shixiong.
âDo you remember when you first came to talk to me in the Burial Mounds?â
âHow could I forget?â he scowled.
He winced, yea okay he deserved that, that wasnât a conversation that went well.
âRemember there was a baby that grabbed your leg?â
Jiang Chengâs eyes widened and his face became downcast. âI.. Iâd forgotten about the baby,â he admitted. He felt a twinge of regret. After raising Jin Ling, heâd learned to care more about children than he did before. âIâm sorry,â he said, âTruly I had not even considered the baby. He was the last thing on my mind that day. Iâm sorry that he was lost as well. He was an innocent.â Personally, he wouldnât kill children but he knew there were some people who wouldnât give it a second thought. Like a certain Jin Guangyao who even killed his own baby to further his goals. And with a bitter taste in his mouth, he remembered Wang Lingjiao, who had it out for their innocent little shidi.
âThatâs just it,â Wei Wuxian said, fiddling with his fingers nervously, âHe wasnât.â
âDonât be stupid, what do you mean he wasnât? What could a baby possibly have done?â
Wei Wuxian resisted the urge to facepalm. âI meant that he wasnât lostâŠâ
Jiang Cheng blinked.
âYou managed to save him before youâŠ.?â
âNo. I didnât even know he was alive until after everything went down with Jin Guangyao...â
âHuh. Did Jin Guangyao save him? He kept the Ghost General around to use him but what use did he have for a Wen baby? Canât have been that he felt bad...â
âIt wasnât Jin Guangyao. It was Lan Zhan,â he said.
âLan Wangji? How did Lan Wangji save him? He wasnât at the siege. I donât know if you know but he went into seclusion and didnât come out until three years had passed.â
âI know. But apparently he wanted to see the truth for himself so before he secluded himself he visited the Burial Mounds and just happened to find A-Yuan hidden in a tree with a strong fever. He saved him but A-Yuan lost his memories so he didnât even know who he was. He remembers only bits and pieces now of living in the Burial Mounds, after he saw ChenQing. Wen Ning⊠well they reconnected and he went with him to bury their family together.â
Jiang Cheng was silent for a moment. âSo the Lans took him in as their own. Lan Yuan is it?â
âYes. But you may know him as Lan Sizhui,â Wei Wuxian added.
âLan Sizhui?! The one that goes with A-Ling on all those night hunts?â
He nodded.
âWell no wonder The Ghost General hangs around them like a particularly large fly.â
Wei Wuxian felt brave enough to swat him. âYou do too!â
Jiang Cheng elbowed him. âDonât compare me to him!â
Didnât you do that yourself earlier, he thought. But he backed down.
Jiang Cheng sighed. âIâm glad,â he said soberly.
âLan Sizhui is an exemplary Lan disciple. Not like that noisy one who likes to backchat. Youâd think he was the one who spent time with you.â
âHey!â
âI suppose Lan Wangji was good for something.â
âJiang Cheng!â
âFine fine Iâll say nothing more about your precious Hanguang-Jun. I did wonder how come theyâd been on this hunt without Lan Sizhui. Heâs usually glued to the hip with the loud one.â
âWell...now you know.â Secretly he was really glad Jiang Cheng was taking this so well. Heâd hoped but he didnât know what to expect.
âAnyway, Lan Sizhui may have the Ghost General with him, but the rest of those brats donât. If we want to follow A-Ling back to Jinlin Tai weâll have to get some sleep.â
Wei Wuxian punctuated his agreement with a loud yawn as they settled back down to try and catch a wink of sleep. Morning would come very soon.
As he was starting to drift off, Jiang Cheng spoke again.
âDo you know the thing I blame you for the most right now, Wei Wuxian? Itâs that out of all those people who you managed to kill in Nightless City, Sect Leader Yao remains alive and kicking⊠You had one job!â
Heâd panicked at first but after that declaration he pouted, âBut A-Cheeeng I couldnât help it. Heâs like a cockroach. Hard to kill and always underfoot making a nuisance of himself.â
Jiang Cheng snorted. âSounds about right. Anyway, go to sleep. Itâs late.â
âYes, zongzhu. Whatever you say zongzhu.â
He earned himself another elbow, but he fell asleep with a smile.

For the initial approach, use the loving memory of his parents, wife, and children to comprehend his deepest desires and fulfill them. If this fails, move to suppression. But if the crimes are too great and his resentment too bitter to dissipate, eliminate him root and branch; his continued existence must not be permitted. -- MDZS Elegance IV

There's been a lot of cql/mdzs atla-au posts going around lately and I need to add my take.
Because I think a lot could be done with Wei Ying as the avatar.
Imagine the story goes similarly as in canon. He is the son of traveling benders. Maybe Cangse-Sanren is a firebender and Wei Changse a waterbender. They get killed on some mission and he gets taken in by his father's old friend and leader of the Yunmeng water tribe. (This reminds me a lot of kyoshi's backstory, too.) He raises him a long his own children, his daughter who takes to healing more than fighting, and his son who likes nothing more than fighting.
Wei Ying already showed signes of being a waterbender, so they train him, even though he is the son of a former servant. He is, of course, more talented than any other of their students, even Jiang Cheng. Madam Yu still hates him for it.
At some point, they let all the children of the sect take the Avatar test. He passes. Occurs, they don't tell him until he is 16, so he doesn't know. Madam Yu dies though and her hatred for him for upstanding her son only grows. But Wei Ying is happy and loves them, much like in canon and, much like in canon, he is also convinced that he is deeply indebted to him and always brings more trouble than he is worth.
When they tell him he is the avatar on his 16th birthday, he is shocked and scared of his responsibility, but doesn't show it. He laughs it off and tells everyone he is glad because that means he can see the world and doesn't have to annoy madam yu anymore. He only shows cracks to his cheerful facade when they tell him that he has to leave the very next day. That means he will miss Jiang Cheng's birthday. When he tells Jiang Cheng's this, he gets angry and tells Wei Ying that clearly he is very important now and why not run off to the other sects, see if they will put up with him. He refuses to say goodbye after that, so it's just jiang yanli and Jiang fengmian seeing him off.
He goes to king Nie first who is the most renowned earth bending master of their time. He is unyielding and harsh, but unbelievably fond of his younger brother, who mostly uses his bending to sculp intricate and detailed statues. Wei Ying likes him instantly.
Next is fire. He doesn't like the fire lord who greets him and treats him like he is royalty himself, but in a way that makes Wei Ying's skin crawl. He does like the shy boy in his group lessons and his older sister. Wei Ying is good at firebending, even though it should be his natural enemy. Maybe it's his mother's side showing itself though.
Then of course, to complete his training, he needs to learn air-bending. He gets to Gusu and immediately dislikes it there. They are monks and they live like it, too. There are rules regulating every waking moment and the sleeping ones too and he vows to break at least half of them. By now he us 20 and he'll be damned if he lets himself be bossed around like he's 12 again.
He is greeted by their unusually young leader and his uncle and brother. He expects the uncle to be his teacher, but no. Lan Xichen explains that the honor of training the Avatar will go to the youngest air bender to ever become a master, his brother, Lan Zhan.
Okay, Wei Ying thinks, he can live with that. At least a teacher close to his own age should be fun, right?
Wrong!
Lan Zhan is strict, reticent, unyielding and punishes him for every single infringement of the 3000+ rules. He scolds Wei Ying for not taking the enormous responsibility of being the avatar more seriously. He never smiles and never praises him with more than a "passable".
But he is a challenge. One he is good! The best opponent in a fight Wei Ying has had since he was 14. And there is something so fun at making him react in even the slightest way! Also, his ears blush when he is angry and it's cute!
The first time, Wei Ying uses something other than air bending in their training fights, Lan Zhan is furious (Undisciplined!). But tge second time he grots his teeth and fights, really fights Wei Ying. He holds his own again a 3/4s-trained avatar for more than 30 minutes until Wei Ying let's him get swallowed by a whole in the ground that he than seals with a thick layer of ice that will take him way to long to slice open with air bending.
After that, their relationship evolves. It's more of a mutual rivalry, rather than just Wei Ying needling his air bending teacher until he snaps. After a few months, once Wei Ying has progressed beyond the basics (he can fly now! He loves flying! How can the Lans be so serious all the time? They can fly!!!), Lan Zhan introduces him to musical air-bending. Through bending, they can use the sounds to heal and to hurt, amplify them at will or direct them to a specific direction. Lan Zhan demonstrates some techniques on his guqin and then plays a song, though he refuses to tell Wei Ying its meaning.
Wei Ying picks a dixi. He takes to music like a fish to water and soon he is declared a fully trained air bender. His last night in Gusu is when it happens. News reaches them that Yunmeng is under attack from the Wen sect, who have been annexing more minor territoires for years. By the time Wei Ying gets there Lan Zhan at his side, Lotus Peer is burned to the ground. They barely get Jiang Cheng and Jiamg Yanli out, helped by Wei Ying's old friend, Wen Ning. They make it Wen Qing, who takes one look at Lan Zhan and tells him to go because Gusu is next.
(The wens knew where the avatar was abd where he wasn't abd chose their attacks accordingly)
Lan Zhan rushes back (alone. Wei Ying has brother to get back from the brink of death) but he us too late, too. Cloud Recesses is burned, his father dead, his brother missing and he is taken prisoner.
The war happens almost like in canon. The other heirs are taken hostage and given lessons as to how to behave towards their occupiers. They escape through the stupidity of Wen Chao.
I don't think that there'd be a burial mounts though, nor an equivalent to the list golden core. you can take someone's bending but i want Wei Ying to remain the avatar because:
In his desperation to beat the seemingly almighty Wen and his grieve for the Jiangs who took him in, he devices a plan. A) he goes to Lan Zhan and asks him if musical cultivation might help him to learn how to control the avatar state. He says they can try. They do try and after a while, Wei Ying reaches that state. And B) he rensacks the world for scrolls on blood cultivation.
When they advance on nightless City, he is ready. No one kniws his plan. Even Lan Zhan only knows of his having learned to control the avatar state. He needs the element of surprise and he needs it when he stavds in front of Wen Ruohan.
So he waits. By the time he stands face to face with Wen Ruohan and his army, the floor us littered with corpses.
Wei Ying, in front of his brother, Lan Zhan, everyone goes into the avatar state and with the power of all his former incarnations, bebds the blood of every single corpse, as well as every single Wen soldier to turn on Wen Ruohan and then each other. It's a massacre.
When he comes to it again, there is silence. And then cheers. Everyone cheers for him, even though blood bending has veen outlawed for ages. He won them their war though.
Everyone cheers, everyone but Lan Zhan.
They fight after that, a lot.
(I helped you enter the avatar state. You could have died! - my problem, not yours! - You desecrated the dead! What about their spirits? - what about their spirits? I'm the avatar, i can deal with them! - the avatar state is the sacret link to your past lifes ... - My past lifes, yeah Lan Wangji! Let me decide what to do with them. - Wei Wuxian! - Lan Wangji.)
They part on bad terms more often than not.
So when knews reaches that the Jins, a notoriously rich noble family in some corner of the earth kingdom, has taken Wen citizens, civilians mostly, for slave labour, he goes alone. He is furious, more so when he realises that his friends are among them. He enters the avatar stare involuntarily and has the blood of all present Jin soldiers boil in their veins. Wen Ning is almost dead, but he uses his bending to circulate his blood in his body until he can get him to his sister. She is in Lanling after all, having married their heir.
Now because I love Jiang Yanli, in this au, she plays a bigger role. She saves Wen Ning and shows them out of Lanling.
They flee to a part of Qishan that was all but destroyed during the war and then used as a mass grave for the Wens wei ying himself killed, the ones whose spirits Lan Zhan had warned him about.
And the workd turns on it's Avatar.
The avatar is supposed to bring Peace, stand for balance and justice. Not choose a handful of people to protect at all costs.
But Wei Ying thinks, this is just! The world is full of greedy rich people trying to outdo each other for power, so isn't protecting those who suffer from it through no fault of their own justice?
Now, this could go two ways. Either, in a plot more similar to mdzs, the spirits Wei Ying disturbed abd that he is now living on top of, betray him when the rest of the world finally comes to ambush him (cue Lan Zhan trying g to protect him abd falling from grace himself. And the eternally yearning because he list his chance. the avatar is reborn ofc and Lan Zhan vows to protect them because Wei Ying is still a part of them, but they aren't Wei Ying. They are a completely different person and Lan Zhan never loves again.) DEPRESSING
So, let's go the atla route. Wei Ying goes through a spiritual journey, similar to Korra, gets the Wen remnants rehabilitated, makes the right people see sense and basically does the whole Avatar shitck of first finding peace within himself in order to bring peace to the world. *waves hand*
He confesses to Lan Zhan. They adopt A Yuan. Cue kiss in front of a glowing sunset and "The End" displayed to soaring music.
Admittedly, the second ending needs more flashing out, but it's late,so if anyone wants to have a go, feel free :D

Healing broken hearts: A fatgum x reader bittersweeet fanfic
Warning: cheating and heartbreak, if you don't wanna read this you'll have to skip over it to the best of your abilities
Chapter one: The Bitter
He wasn't sure why he had to let it happen.. Why he couldn't say no despite his heart telling him to..
Then: You were working late, he had taken the day off in hopes to spend more time with you but you were called into work for an emergency, you were disappointed.. He was disappointed, but he understood either way, as a hero things could be complicated for himself, it was one of the reasons he took time off work in hopes to be closer, the relationship you both had wasn't bad, just very distant. He hated that, he loved you more than anything and he didn't want to lose you, so he wanted to find some way to make it work out, but your emergency call got in the way. He was lonely, he needed some company, but he wasn't sure what to do. That day he was scrolling through his phone, trying to keep himself entertained, looking through some media, that's when he noticed her. An old friend, a colleague back in his younger days, it seemed like the perfect time to catch up...
But it all came to this moment
Now: He was sitting in his office at his agency, skinny, nervous, his gloved fingers constantly running through his hair and over his masked face, how could he possibly tell you what happened without losing you for good?
He couldn't look at himself the same way after that night, it really did start off innocent, they talked, walked through the area.. It was a good time. But when they got back to his house that the two of you were living in, it all went downhill from there. A simple movie night, that was all it was supposed to be before she would head back home, he noticed it too late when it started happening, the way she leaned against him as they watched the film, he only brushed it off as a friendly gesture, then the flirting came, he should have stopped her there, but the attention he craved so dearly that day caved in on him, he didn't return the favor, but he didn't stop her either..
The door opened, he jumped and looked over at you, the face he grew to love so dearly had the same worried look he had
"Tai.. I got your message.. Is.. Is everything ok?" You asked walking over to him, he stood up from his desk chair, stopping you from coming any closer, the life he once had in those beautiful gold eyes burned out a while ago from the tears he had shed, his hair seemed to lose that fluffiness it had before, it looked more messy like it had just been through a rough storm, his hero outfit he was wearing had tear stains on it, one of his hands stuck in his pants pocket, the other moving up to scratch his head
"H-hey gummy bear.." Even the voice that always made your day a little brighter sounded just as gloomy and slightly hoarse, he had been crying..maybe even screaming... That's when you knew it was serious..
A week... The guilt he held onto lasted a week.. The messages that would remind him everyday how bad he messed up, came to him almost every day.. things like "if you ever need someone to satisfy your needs, you know where to come to~" "I miss you~ wanna come to my place?~" Things that would keep him at night with guilt, silently crying himself to sleep whenever he thought about it, the fact he was capable of doing something like that to you was just unbearable, him.. Taishiro Toyomitsu.. Fatgum the BMI Hero.. Could he even be called that anymore? It wouldn't be something that would be considered that villainous, not to most of the public at least.. but in his heart and soul, it was as if he had went on a major massacre out of blind rage, his heart ached knowing that he betrayed you like this.. it seemed that way, he massacred your trust in him, possibly your friendship... your Love.. In his mind, he had committed a major crime. And he was going to pay the price for it one way or another.
"I'm so sorry baby.. I-i didn't mean for it to happen-" He started to explain, but you couldn't bare it anymore, it didn't seem possible.. But the texts he showed you, the emotion put into his words, you knew it was real.. You backed away from him when he tried to come closer, your whole world felt as though it was crumbling around you, eyes flooding with tears, his arms came around you, the soft warm embrace tempted you, but you couldn't.. His words came in stutters of apologies, telling you it only happened once, how much he regretted it, but you weren't sure if you had in your heart to believe him, if he was lying, maybe you didn't know him like you thought you did.. If he was telling the truth, could you still forgive him, knowing he had done this to you?
"Let me go tai... Please..." You whimpered, lightly pushing him away.. He did..reluctantly
"I'm sorry (Y/N) I.. I'm sorry.." It was all he could say at this point, his head lowered full of shame, he really hated seeing you like this.. It broke his heart more than anything, but how could he possibly fix this? Would you hate him for the rest of your life? What would he tell Kirishima and Tamaki? They looked up to you, saw you as parenteral figure.. How this would affect them.. Or his relationship with them? Would they hate him for this too? He had no idea.. But it wouldn't be good either way.. If things had to end off between you, he'd understand, he'd at least want to stay friends, but if you didn't want that either.. It would really make things worse for him..
"(Y/N) can we.. Please.. Just talk this over? Please I know I messed up.. Really bad.. But.. Just for a little bit.. I just want to talk.."
You thought about this offer for a bit, tears rolling down your face, your heart shattered, he was doing everything he could to make this right, to fix what he could.. Your eyes slowly scaled up his mountain of a body, and as they continued your heart hurt more, you shared great memories with this man, the times you spent together, how open and honest he was throughout the whole relationship.. The moment your eyes met his, the floodgates came. Hard. You couldn't stop the tears that were flowing down your face like a dam had just broken in your head, it only hurt you more as you cried, torn between asking for his comfort, and pushing him away, your hands clenched into fists, you almost wanted to hurt him, physically..to have him feel what the pain he had put on you felt like.. But you decided against it, not only because it would seem bad to hurt a hero but because you knew he had taken worse... You turned your back to him, grabbing at the door and forcing it open, slamming it on the way out. Storming through the halls of his agency. You were making your way out of there when you noticed Kiri and Tamaki were walking in, they saw you, ready to greet you until they noticed how grim your face looked, but you stormed right pass them and out through the doors, heading back to the home you shared with the local hero, which thankfully was his own, you knew an area that had some rather cheap, yet good apartments, it was going to be a hassle moving your stuff in on short notice, but you had a friend willing to help you out in any kind of situation when you needed them. You couldn't be more grateful.
Kirishima and Tamaki were worried after seeing you like that. You had tears freely running down your face, the aura you were giving off said something was wrong..
The only thing that proved their rights to worry.. Was the sudden agonized scream that rang throughout the agency coming from their mentors office, the two boys ran as fast as they could to him, opening the door to only see him curled up on ground, one hand holding his chest, the other hitting the ground below him as he shouted towards it, it only made the sound of his voice worse as he cried, eyes burning from the tears he previously cried before, now he cursed himself for his agony.
His interns could only watch with sympathetic looks, already having an idea of what had happened. Tamaki hid his face in his hood, leaning against the office wall, trying to hide his own sorrow, kirishima could only try to hold in the tears brewing up in his eyes, he wasn't angry.. He couldn't be. Not at you or his mentor.. But it wasn't easy to take.. He wanted to help, to have his questions answered, to fix this somehow, but how can you fix two broken hearts without a even little time on your hands?

(Well this was fun-- writing. I'm gonna go think about how to write out the next chapter... Despite the uh.. Situation going on here.. I hope you enjoyed reading this! Somehow... It's my first time trying something like this. So... dunno anyway see y'all next chapter)

broken souls (pjm!hybrid au)
plot :Helping hybrids is your passion, as a local hybrid center calls you for help because of a abused and broken panther hybrid you pack your stuff and hurry to put him back together.
warnings: death, abuse | 4.9k words
a/n: hi there, itâs been a while huh? Iâm finally back and better than ever. I released two stories lately which seemed like a fever dream so i wonât continue them but i hope you are ready to keep supporting my stuff :) I hope you like this story since i spent a lot of time and thoughts on it :)
masterlist
âHello? Who is this?â
âAm i talking to Y/N?â
âYes you are, who is this?âÂ
âOh, iâm sorry for not introducing myself, my name is Helen Wallis and I'm the Head of the Hybrid Rehabilitation Center Crystal Snow. Iâm calling because we take care of a very delicate case at the moment, the issue is that we donât know how to take further care of this poor soul and I heard that you are an amazing psychologist student who even helped the Seong-girl out of her cruel thoughts. If you could maybe take your time to take a look at this broken boy we would all be really thankful.â
To be honest, this girl didnât take a lot of work. She was spoiled and upset because a boy in her school rejected her. The only reason this became a big thing was because the parents are influential people. But you would love to help someone who needed your help so you didnât have another choice.
âI would gladly take a look at him, if you could send me his file.â
âOh yes, of course. Thank you a lot Y/N, your help means a lotâ
Youâve looked at the same three sheets of paper for the last two hours and you canât believe whatâs printed on it. The sentences make you angry and give you the feeling of having to throw up. He was raised on a local farm which turned out to be an underground fighting ring. He had to take drugs. He was raped and had to watch his mum getting killed, the only person on this planet who he loved. He has lost someone just like you, you may be able to connect with him faster than with Seong Hye-Jin.
The speed of your heart beating decreases as you pack the papers back into your bag. The bus rumbles and your stop arrives faster as you expected it to. The building looks nice, it has a big blue sign on top that says âCrystal Snow Rehabilitation Centerâ. Itâs a short walk across the street to the entrance. As you walk towards the front desk a chubbier in white dressed older lady walks towards you. âYou must be Y/N, itâs so nice to meet you. I called you earlier this weekâ you nod and shake her hand. âYes, I tried to prepare myself as well as possible, but iâm not sure if he is going to welcome my help. I would say we just give it a try.â
The walk to Jiminâs room is long, there are a lot of doors, hallways and two elevators involved. Before Helen opens the door she turns around and clasps your hands in hers. âI need you to be careful. I couldnât forgive myself if he hurt you. If something goes south please shout immediately, security is right outside this door. God may bless youâ she whispers the last sentence as she turns the key and the door opens. You smile at Helen and take a step in. You never thought much about god or christianity, itâs all a hoax. Where was god when you needed him?Â
âPlease leave the door open until I say otherwiseâ you whisper towards Helen and she nods. As you take a look inside the tiny room you are reminded of your bedroom at your parents house. It was tiny but cozy, Jimin might feel the same.
There he is, laying on his bed facing the window. âHi there, Jimin. My name is Y/N, I would like to talk to you. Is that fine with you?â He doesnât say anything nor does he move. Heâs not ignoring you though, heâs listening very well. âShould i leave the door open?â you ask silently and he doesnât answer, he turns around to look at you. A thing catches your attention immediately, the big scar across his left eye.
He nods and you nod back not saying anything. âCan i sit myself down over there or should I stay here?â you ask again to tear his attention from the open door, this is no time to do something dumb. âStayâ he whispers and you comply, he wants to keep you at a distance. The spot youâre standing at is a great place to oversee everything you do. âAlright, iâll just sit down right hereâ you smile, he doesnât reply.
As you sit there on the floor he grows more comfortable. The door is open and there is no one who pushes him to speak. You lowered yourself to the ground where he is able to look down on you. âSo, Jimin. We both know why Iâm here. To be quite honest, these people here donât really care about you. It sounds harsh but thatâs the truth. The only thing they are interested in is rehabilitating you and getting you out of here. They want you to move on and live normally but letâs be real for a second, thatâs impossible.â His head snaps upwards to look at you.
âEveryone tells you how great life is and how badly you need to move on. The problem is that after all life ever gave you, itâs hard for you to understand that optimism. Life is shit, isnât it?â you chuckle and he nods. âI didnât expect you to say thatâ his raspy voice fills the room.
You chuckle âWhat? That lifeâs shit? Well, itâs the truth.â he nods and suddenly his ears move from being stuck flat on his head to standing upwards, ready to listen to you. âYou know, Jimin. I understand you. Life hasnât been kind to me either. I mightâve not lived through something as terrific as you but it comes close. Do you want to hear it?â he nods but still keeps his head low. You know that sharing hurtful experiences can help you connect to each other. You knew almost everything about him. You know what those horrible people did to him and how he became who he is now but he knows nothing about you. He doesnât know why you are willing to sit on his floor or why the hell the door was kept open
âI had to kill my fatherâ That catches his attention. His eyebrows furrow as he stares at you.
âTwo men broke into our house one night when I was thirteen. I didnât know what was happening, I mean it was around three am and i was sleeping. My brother was dead when I arrived in the living room, they had almost decapitated him. My parents were restrained and sat up on our couch.âÂ
I have to breathe for a moment before I can continue. Right in that moment he locked his gaze with me for the first time. We share a quick glance.
âMy mum was raped before they slit her throat and I couldn't do anything.I had to stab my dad 28 times. The only thing I remember was them telling me that everythingâs my fault. I donât know what I did nor do I know why my parents had to pay for it. But I moved on. I didnât forget, not that I ever could forget this massacre but, I try to survive. Nothing can ever bring them back and I know that. I will never see them again and it hurts everytime i close my eyes because I see their lives leaving their bodies when I do but I try to move on. I try to live âÂ
I wipe my tears and look at the floor as all the pictures come back. The blood, the bones being cracked and the lives being taken-âIâm sorry you had to go through thatâ he whispers and a small sniff leaves your body. âThank you, Jimin.â you whisper back and for a moment thereâs just silence. Itâs comforting and scary at the same time. Itâs almost as if he accepts you now, as if he knows what you feel.
âDo i have to tell you?â you shake your head with a small smile. You wouldnât mind but every time you have to talk about it you literally relive what happened. You donât want him to feel what you do now âNo, you donât have to if you donât want toâ he nods and sighs, a big weight visually leaving his shoulders. âYou can sit on the chair, the floor must be coldâ you almost laugh. âIâll gladly. Thank you, Jimin.â You sit down in front of him and he moves back slightly.
âJiminâ you whisper and his head snaps towards you âYes?â he whispers back. His eyes softly gaze at yours âI need you to know that youâre not alone. What you had to go through is in no way forgettable and I know that you regret many things but youâre not alone. â he just stares at you until his eyebrows furrow and his chest starts to move faster and faster. You triggered something, something bad.
âYouâre lyingâ he whispers and his nostrils flare and his eyes stare at the floor. âYouâre lying like everyone else.â He almost growls at you as you try to deny what he said. âIâm not, Jimin, listen to me!â you plead and you notice the shift. In front of you is no longer the quiet and understanding person he was two minutes ago . He shifted to what those people made him, a broken, hurt and traumatized boy whoâs life is a living hell.
Now that they got him out of there heâs held captive in his mind. The horror he had to experience every day is now tormenting him inside his own head and no one seems to understand that. His eyes grow dark and his body builds itself up and he flashes his teeth in a threatening way. He closes himself off. Heâs gone, the soft understanding boy you were just talking to was somewhere crying in a corner of his mind scared of getting attached and being thrown away like garbage.
In a matter of seconds his hands find their way around your throat. He tightens his grip and you find it hard to breathe. Your pleads come out strangled as he lets out a low grunt. This situation reminds you of the night you killed your father. The men strangled you as well while you watched your mum being raped, the only difference here is that Jimin isnât doing it out of pleasure, heâs terrified to the point where heâs alright with taking another person's life.
The two security men find their way into the room as your legs give in and you two fall to the floor, Jimin didnât let go though. Your last attempt of staying alive needs to work so you clasp his face in between your hands. You stroke his cheek and give him a small smile. âItâs alrightâ His eyebrow twitches slightly and in a matter of seconds his grip around your throat loosens and your vision finds its way back to you. You cough violently after you push him behind yourself.
âMiss, please move. We need to move this farrell animal, heâs a threatâ you shake your head as you move closer to Jimin âHeâs not- cough -thatâs why I-cough-Iâm here. Pl-cough-Please move outside, thank you-cough.â They share a worried look but do as told and move to their spots outside. Your head hangs low as you try to steady your breathing.
Behind you, you can hear silent but repetitive sorryâs.
You turn around slightly, just to look at him. He now understood what he had done. You canât blame him for what he did, he was terrified as you somehow triggered something in his brain with your reassurance. âJiminâ you breathe out and his rant of sorryâs stop. âJimin, this isnât your fault, okay? Iâm not mad at youâ You turn towards him and take his hand into yours.
âDo you hear me? Iâm not mad at youâ he doesnât look at you as you talk to him. The atmosphere in his room is cold and uncomfortable. His demeanor changed, he feels sorry and you know that. He almost killed you and youâre not upset. Itâs something thatâs hard to understand, why would someone you hurt still like you? Simple, they are either unconditionally in love with you or know how you feel. They understand the things you went through, the pain you feel, they relate.
âHow?â He whispers as his emotions get ahead of him. âI almost killed you, look at your throatâ he sniffs and you canât help but touch it. Itâs sore and probably bright red but you donât really care. âItâs fineâ you answer him and he shakes his head âHow can that be fine? You were nothing but nice to me and I struck you to the floor to strangle you. If that is fine to you, youâre dumbâ
You nod your head âMaybe I amâ. You stroke the hair out of your face and get up. âIâll be leaving now-âIt was nice meeting you Y/N, Iâm sorry that I hurt you and I understand that you wonât come ba-âOh, Iâm coming backâ his head snapped up to look at you. âWhat?â You chuckled slightly âYou canât get rid of me that easily, we are friends now, Jimin.â He just gives you a star struck expression as youâre almost outside of his room. âIâll bring you some cake next timeâ
-
About a week later you again stand in front of the center. You thought a lot about how you could help Jimin and to be honest, you have no idea. The only thing that somehow connects you two is the trauma. Thereâs nothing that really connects you, you lived a great life until that night, you always had and always will have the privilege of being a human and not a hybrid. Jimin was born on a farm like an animal, raised like one and treated like one.
In your hands you hold the cake you promised him the last time. You open the door just to be greeted with Helen. She smiles at you and welcomes you with a warm handshake âY/N, how nice to see. Jimin has been asking for you everyday. He told me what he has done and how you treated him. Iâm glad that you didnât run away, he really needs your helpâ you nod and smile at her âWe had a great start actually, Iâm positive that Iâm able to help him.â she gives you a comforting smile before she answers you âHeâs outside, by the pondâ you nod and take your leave to the garden.
The garden is blooming beautifully, a lot of flowers and bushes decorate the garden in a welcoming and soft way. Other hybrids roam around the garden as well. Some play together, some stay alone just like Jimin. Heâs sitting on a bench in front of the pond while he stares at the water. You clear your throat as you stand right behind him and heâs fast to turn around.
His face shifts to a soft smile as he sees you. âY/N!â he exclaims happily. He puts his legs down and makes space for you. You thankfully take the spot next to him. The air is thick between you two and you can pinpoint exactly why. He still feels sorry for what he did and you donât really know how to approach this matter.
âI brought you the cake I promisedâ you throw into the silence. He doesnât look, he doesnât move at all. âI thought you wouldnât come againâ he says sadly. Your head snaps towards his and your eyes lock. âWhy would you think that? I told you i would come backâ you give back. He shakes his head and finally glances at the cake âI thought you mightâve changed your mind.â you sigh and hit his shoulder lightly. âI would never break my promise, now try the cakeâ you give him a fork and let him taste it.
âI didnât bake it though, Iâm terrible in the kitchenâ you chuckle and he smiles âThatâs fine, itâs deliciousâ he silently eats the cake and thanks you another two times. âHowâs your throat?â he asks quietly. You unconsciously touch your throat. âItâs fine, itâs a little bit redâ he nods and shoves another fork of cake into his mouth. Just then you notice a red mark on his right hand. They didnât hit him, did they?
âJimin, you need to be completely honest with me right nowâ his eyes go wide as your face grows angry. âDid they hurt you for what you did to me?â he almost chokes on his cake as you ask him that. âDid they hit you?â you ask again and he hides his hand before he tries to explain himself. âItâs not like i didnât deserve it.â he stammers. âThey are not allowed to do that, Jimin. You shouldâve told me right away, I will make sure something like that never happens ever again.â he shakes his head and takes your hand into his. âItâs alright, donât worry about it.â You give him an angry look âIt is not alright, no one should treat you like thatâ he smiles slightly and strokes the back of your hand.
âIâm fineâ and for a moment you believe him. You forget the red mark on his hand and the scar across his eye. You forget what happened to you and what happened to him. You forget the handprints around your throat. The trees and flowers disappear as well as the pond which seems to drain into oblivion. Nothing else other than the beautiful boy in front of you seems to exist. The way his dark hair almost hides his beautiful eyes which are trying to reassure you. The way his bruised hand gently strokes yours and the way this feeling makes you want to cry. It makes your walls crumble.
âY/N?â his voice tugs you out of your thoughts. His hand wipes a tear from your face âWhy are you crying?â he asks quietly. You canât talk, itâs like someone took your ability to speak.
âItâs alright, I sometimes cry as well.â He lets go of your hand and suddenly everything comes back. Everything is there again and itâs hard to comprehend. Why did it feel nice?
âI did horrible things, you know. You shouldnât look at me like thatâ your eyebrows furrow. âLike what?â he looks up at the sky âLike you love me, my mum used to look at me like thatâ he gives back and you canât move. âItâs a look that says that you would give me the universe and more if you could. Itâs a look which says that you would love everything about me but you wonât, you canât. I did things that not a single living creature should do. If you knew what i did, you wouldnât speak to me ever again. You would look at me the same way as everyone else ever did! â he almost shouted.
You are taken aback, what is he talking about. âWell, what did you do?â he whips around and stares at you in disbelief. âDid you just completely ignore what i said?â you shake your head and smile at him âDo you think Iâm like everyone else? I stabbed my dad almost thirty times, how bad can it be?â his face grows angry and he pushes the cake to the side. âOne time I was in the ring I had to kill my opponent. The bloodier it was the better, so I ripped his windpipe from his throat. Another time I broke someone's neck just to get fed. Do you even know what it feels to get praised for taking someone's life?â
Without thinking you get closer, your noses almost touched as you did. âYes, I do know what it feels like to get praised for taking someoneâs life. They praised me the whole night for killing my father and later made me bury his corpse while my raped mother had to watch all of it. After i complied with them they slit her throat and left me laying in my motherâs blood while i wanted to die. The last thing they said before leaving me was âThatâs what good girls doâ, so donât tell me i donât know what it feels like. I know how people look at someone who had to survive something like this, I know it damn well.â
For a few seconds you two just stare at each other with wide and teary eyes. The mood is tense. The only thing you can hear is Jiminâs heavy breathing and you trying to not breathe at all. A tear leaves his eye and all of a sudden his lips find their way onto yours. You canât grasp what is happening, your lips move by themselves. Your hand finds its way onto his cheek and he grabs the back of your neck caressingly. Never has a kiss felt like this, like the whole earth could explode and you wouldnât care as long as you were kissing him.
But the thought of you two getting caught struck your mind and you stopped.
âW-why, did you stop?â his voice was a faint whisper. He knows why but he still feels the need to ask. âIt felt good,â he continues. âWe canât be seen, Jiminâ his face falls and he shakes his head âI donât careâ he whispers as you get up. âBut i do, if they get a whiff of what just happened i wonât be allowed to meet you anymore.â you gather your stuff as he suddenly grabs your hand to stop you âI want you to adopt meâ he almost shouts. You halt in your actions while your eyes widen.
âI realised that there is no person other than you who really cares about me. Thereâs no one who understands what Iâve been through. Not a single person can relate to what my life has been like. When Iâm with you it feels like the whole universe disappears and thereâs only you, you pull me out of those cruel thoughts, you take the pain away Y/N. Please adopt meâ you canât move. Thatâs not how you expected this whole thing to go. Of course you like him, thereâs a connection and even feelings you canât name but, itâs wrong. The way he sees it is wrong.
He sees a saviour who might rescue him from the life he used to live. To be honest, youâre ready to be that, his saviour, but is it the right thing to do, or to be? âWhy arenât you saying anything? Am i not good enough? Do you want me to change? I can-âNo, Jimin. I-I donât really know if that is how you really feel-âOf course that is what i really feel like, i need you Y/Nâ he shouts.
You step back with a small yelp escaping your mouth. His eyes soften âIâm sorry, i didnât want to yell at youâ All of sudden two men rush across the garden just to push you away from him âStop! Youâre hurting herâ he shouts as you harshly fall on your butt. This is his motherâs death all over. He wasnât able to get to her and now heâs being held back while they push you around. They grab Jimin and try to get him going but heâs too focused to get to you âY/N!â he screams and you are fast to get up âSir, please let goâyou shout, much to your displeasure he just blows you off. They push him to the floor getting him ready to be sedated. Jimin doesnât comply, the only thing he does is shout your name.
You throw yourself to the floor to look into his eyes. His eyes are wide and his face wet from crying âPlease, Y/N donât leave me. I canât live without you, god please.â he pleads between broken cries. âJimin, hey, listen to me. iâm right here! I wonât leave youâ he cries and cries as he slowly drifts into a deep slumber âI need youâ he whispers before heâs completely knocked out.
You once again look at the man in front of you. Is it wrong to love someone you just met? You are no psychiatrist, you have nothing to lose, do you? The only thing you desire more than helping him out of the dark space heâs in, is hold him in your arms. To wipe his tears and tell him that everything will be fine.
-
You thought a lot about him and his pleading about adoption. He would fit, no doubt. You two share one soul. The apartment you live in is hybrid friendly and thereâs enough space. Yesterday you got a call from the center asking you to come in and meet Jimin again since his condition has worsened. He hasnât eaten properly for almost a week, he doesnât speak or move from his bed and refuses to look at anyone other than you.Â
You once again stand in front of the center unsure why you are here. Are you here to end something that never happened or continue something that has potential? You donât know. But deep down you already know the answer
Helen waits for you at the front desk. She eagerly drags you along the long way to Jiminâs room. You remember the corridors and the two elevators as if youâve walked those corridors a million times just to get to him. She doesnât speak since she told you everything on the phone, she just escorts you to his room.
The door opens with the jingle of the keys and your heart breaks as you look inside. Heâs curled up on his bed holding the fork you brought with you last week. He looks at it as if itâs a picture, telling him a story.
âJiminâ you whisper. His head moves slightly, needing to reassure what he was hearing. âJimin, itâs meâ you say once again.
He puts himself up on his feet and looks at you. His face seems thinner and his face is puffy from crying. You donât know how someone could hurt him, how someone could force him to do things he didnât want to or how someone could kill the one person who loved him. How someone could take everything he had, he ever was. You canât understand it. You would give him everything. You would give your life for him if you could.
âY/Nâ he breathes out. His eyes close and a small smile forms on his face. âI thought Iâll never see you again,â he says. Your body moves on its own as you walk towards him. You almost throw yourself into his arms. âI thought you left meâ he chokes out.
âIâll stay by your side as long as you need me, I told you that before. Donât you ever think that Iâll leave youâ you whispered into his chest. The comforting smell of his sweater grazes your nose. His tail wrapping around your legs in a comforting manner.
âWhat makes you think that Iâm worth your love?â he whispers back and you canât help but hold him tighter as your eyebrows furrow. âIâll love you because you canât love yourself, thatâs fine with me.â Tears form in your eyes as his soften.
He sighs and strokes your back âThen please never leave meâ he mumbles and you nod your head. âYou wonât ever have to be alone, Park Jiminâ he smiles and strokes your back as you look at him. âIâll never leave you. I thought about it and I think itâs the best to have you by my side, I would like to adopt youâ you smile. His breath stops for a moment as you finish your sentence.
His legs give in and you both rush to the floor. The dark strands of hair fall into his face and his sobs fill the room and you hug him tight. âYouâll have a home, a place where no one can hurt you. A place for you and meâ he nods and you smile back at him
âI never thought that I'd ever escape this. I thought Iâll have to live like this, locked away like a mad person. Alone with my thoughts and what happened to me. But the second you came into my room I knew. I knew that all of this is going to change. That Iâll escapeâ you nod at him. âThe moment I read about what happened to you, I knew that I would do everything I could to save you. Iâll give you the peace you deserve, Iâll love you until death does us apart, Park Jiminâ

I'd love to see prompt 116. âI love you more than planned.â with Tobirama and a Uchiha darling. Maybe where Hashirama insisted that Tobi should spend some time and befriend some of the Uchiha clan members for the betterment of the future of the village?
Uchiha darling and Tobirama is quite loved in here.
Warnings: Yandere themes, blackmailing, bribing, threatening, possessive thinking
Prompt 116: âI love you more than planned.â
âI think I heard you wrong?! Did you just insist on that I should give him a chance?! That guy just insulted when confessing! I mean, I didnât expect anything else, itâs Tobirama after all. But Mito! That could never work! My family would never allow it! They still hold a small grudge against the Senju clan!â The red-haired woman listened calmly to your words. âAnd you? What do you want?â You gave her a quirked eyebrow. âWhat I want?â â(y/n), I understand that this situation might be a bit conflicting right now and for Tobirama it was a surprise as well. But he canât change his feelings and decided to try to accept them. I think to break the cycle of dislike between his and your clan an Uchiha and a Senju would be a perfect example on that things can be different.â You scoffed. âYeah, sure. If his brother wouldnât have forced him to befriend a few of my clan that guy would have avoided us like the plague.â âAnd you knew that and still became friends with him?â You bit your tongue. She did have a point. âOkay. Maybe I like him. But only as a friend! Nothing more! I deserve better than his sassy ass and big mouth! This guy is too...too much! I donât wanna keep hearing his remarks about my clan! And also, I-I just canât really believe that he fell supposedly in love with me. To be honest, when we sometimes start arguing and get all heated up I canât help, but feel like weâre being too harsh on each other. But no one of us really stop because we want to be mean to each other. Thatâs a distorted way of friendship. And I donât wanna imagine how it would be if the both of us would be in a relationship. That could end in a massacre. Sorry, but I want things to stay as they are right now.â
âFor goodness sake! Tobirama! Let it go!â, you yelled angrily at him, ruffling your hair frustrated which was by now all messed up due to grabbing it so often. You felt like ripping it out due to frustration. âThen listen to what I have to say! Youâre just avoiding me since that talk you had to Mito!â, he shouted back, looking just as livid as you. This was so frustrating. Why did you have to have this conversation with him? You did admit that you had started to avoid him after your talk with Mito, wanting to sort your feelings out and needing time about how to handle this new information. But of course Tobiramaâs string of patience had worn fast thin. And that had led you to this situation. Shouting and cursing at each other. âDonât you get it?! I just donât feel that way! Get that through your stubborn thick skull! Give me space!â, you angrily pushed him away, wanting to run out of this situation. You had already gained enough worried and amused looks from the passengers and werenât willing to start throwing a show just because this man couldnât handle a rejection. âStop acting like a sulky boy and handle this like a man! Thatâs ridiculous Tobirama! It would never work! And you should know that too. Youâre the one who never liked my clan in the first place and now you have the authority to tell me you love me? You gotta be kidding me.â
He was seething, you knew that. Sometimes you had troubles believing that he and the Hokage were brothers because they were like two different sides of a coin. Hashirama was peace loving, friendly and energy whilst Tobirama was impatient, temperamental and harsh. And that was the reason why you didnât think it would work. Put someone like him with a hothead like you together would make an explosive combo, one for which you didnât have the patience to endure. But he stayed quiet, clenching and unclenching his fist. âThis is stupid.â, you cursed under your breath and turned around, wanting to let a little bit steam off. âIs it so hard for you to believe that I love you?â That made you stop in your tracks, slowly turning your head around. He had sounded polite. Well, he still sounded angry, but he didnât shout anymore. âYou seriously ask me why I have troubles believing that? Reflect on your actions to my clan and you might be able to understand why I have a hard time believing you would fall for me, an Uchiha.â
âDo you think Iâm happy about this? Do you even know how I felt when discovering my feelings? I thought that something was wrong with me. Our clans used to kill each other on the battle field before this village was built. And I never fully trusted your clan. Never. You wonât even believe how pissed off I was when my brother insisted on me befriending some from your kind. But I guess he didnât see it coming that I would end up falling for the damn Uchiha who I managed to become friends with. No one did. Me neither. But I canât get rid of it. So if you would just put your pride away for a moment and try to understand how I feel this might have not to be that hard.â You didnât know what to respond to this, giving him a doubting look whilst crossing your arms in front of your chest and tapping your finger against your biceps. As weird as it sounded, you could somewhat sympathize with him, understanding what a blow for his ego it must have been for him when falling for you. He was just confused on how to act on his feelings. You let out a sigh. âListen Tobirama, I admit that I feel flattered by all of this. But try to see it from the logical side. Our clans wouldnât handle it too well if we should ever start dating each other, not to mention that I donât think we would have our peace. Weâre too similar to each other, too prideful. I just feel like the dynamic between us could be either very good or very shaky. And Iâm not in the mood to endure a constant up and down, not to mention that constant shouting sessions would give me too much of a headache. We both deserve someone who can help us calming our ass down a bit. Thatâs what I feel at least.â
It became quiet between the two of you, Tobirama glaring with a mix of anger and hurt at you. âIâm sorry Tobirama. I just feel like staying in a friend zone is the best for both of us.â You slowly stepped backwards, not breaking eye contact with him, hoping to be able to leave him here without him trailing behind you again. âYou know...Brother knows how much I love you. Thatâs why he and Mito convinced me in the first place to confess to you. Not to mention that I had enough trust in you to open up about my feelings.â He had mumbled those words more quietly out, making you almost feel a bit bad. âYouâre lucky to have someone like him and Mito in your life. Theyâre both great people.â You tried to sound as comforting as possible, not wanting him to have another outburst of emotions. âAnd I hope that youâll be able to get over this someday. Even though your an asshole, our friendship is still important to me.â With these words you finally turned around and quickly walked away from the scene, leaving a silent Tobirama back. âHopefully Hashirama will be able to help him digesting this. If not Iâm in trouble.â
That same night Tobirama couldnât really fall asleep. He had never been someone who had slept much due to preferring to work until late at night. He just couldnât, the argument between you and him playing over and over again. You were right, he could understand from where you were coming from. He himself had almost felt disgusted in himself when finding out his feelings for you. How couldnât he after everything that had happened? He had killed your kind back in the days of war and had never trusted your clan, especially after Madara had left the village and had tried to kill his brother. It had been another proof for him that your clan was possessed by the evil. It had been a miracle for him that he had managed to make friends with you in the first place. You were the only one from your clan who had endured his outbursts, fighting fiercely back to defend your clan and push him back into his place. You had proved to be quite the challenge for him, never backing down from his threats and insults and instead always standing tall. He guessed that this was one of the things he seemed to hate and love on you at the same time. You always stood for what you loved and believed in. You were passionate, strong, smart and stood true to your ideals and words. You were stubborn, snarky and always had a sharp comment which you gladly spit out. Tobirama didnât even know when it had happpened. When he had started being more mean simply because he didnât know how to act on his feelings.
In the end it hadnât mattered anyways. You had rejected him which stung more than expected. He hadnât expected that this would have such a big impact on him. He had drowned himself in work today, trying to get his mind off. But it hadnât been from much use and Tobirama couldnât remember the last time when he had felt so...wretched. This wasnât like him at all. He had seen death so much back in the war, he had seen his friends and family die and had managed to somehow stand strong. It had been his duty to stay strong and avenge all the people he had lost. And you werenât even dead. You were still here. But you were lost for him in another sense, still here, but out of reach. That was a new way for him to lose someone. And he didnât like that. Whom should he blame for drowning in such a pathetic state of his mind? His brother? You? Or himself? He could almost hear your mocking voice if you would see him like this. For some reason he needed to think of something you had told him one time before when the both of you had talked about the topic rejection before. âDrowning in self-sorrow is no way to handle a rejection. You gotta take it like a shinobi does. If I would get rejected I wouldnât give up. I would fight for their heart until they realize that Iâm the only one for them. I would do everything in my power to change their mind. I wonât accept it if someone would miss me. Not like someone would ever reject me.â
Fight for them...Do everything in your power...Not accepting it. And with one swift movement Tobirama was suddenly up, your words still swirling around in his mind whilst he walked to the small office in his house, pulling out a few files he had in one of his drawers. Files about you and your family. He didnât even know why he had those in the first place in his house but in that moment he didnât care that much. What mattered was what stood inside of them. Informations. Informations which could be used against you. For a brief moment he stopped, reflecting on what he was about to do. This was actually wrong. Criminal. What would his brother think if he would find out about this? This made for a short moment hesitation wash about him, slowly retreating his hand which had been about to grab the file. âDonât you get it?! I just donât feel that way!â He froze. âGet that through your stubborn thick skull!â His hand twitched, feeling a bitter feeling raising up in him and the still so fresh stinging of your reaction tingling up inside his core. What he was about to do wasnât fair, it was downright wrong and would ensure huge troubles for you if he would use something against you or your family. But you hadnât played fair as well. You had rejected him and not even given him a chance. In some sense he actually only did what you had said yourself to do in case of a rejection. Doing everything in his power to help you realize your mistake.
He almost felt amused whilst reading the file about your family, taking greedily every information in he hadnât known so far and already starting to plan possibilities about how to use those informations against you. If someone would have told him a few years ago that he would go as far as being ready to blackmail an Uchiha just so he could make them stay by his side he would have labeled that person as crazy. But now he was there, sitting in his office and going through every information he possessed about your close ones. You would come back to him. You would realize that he was your only option. And if he had to reach that goal by ruining your whole life and those of everyone you loved so be it. âWell little Uchiha,â, he spoke to himself in a slightly amused, slightly angry voice,âI love you more than planned.â
